Abstract

This study is situated within the growing emphasis on service innovation in faith-based higher education, where leadership practices shape students’ moral orientation and service engagement. Within Buddhist higher education contexts, leadership formation involves not only organizational management but also the internalization of spiritual and ethical values. This study provides an interpretive exploration of how Servant Leadership and Hypno Leadership are enacted and experienced in fostering service-oriented leadership practices among students. A qualitative descriptive design was employed, drawing on observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving lecturers, Buddhist religious counselors, temple leaders, and active students. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman through processes of condensation, categorization, and thematic interpretation. The findings illuminate that leadership formation occurs through interconnected processes of academic learning, experiential training, role modeling, and socio-religious engagement. These processes are understood as cultivating empathy, responsibility, collaborative orientation, persuasive communication, emotional regulation, and adaptive service practices grounded in Buddhist ethical principles. Rather than establishing causal relationships, this study offers contextually embedded insights into how spiritual–moral leadership values and psychologically informed communication practices interact in supporting service-oriented innovation within a faith-based higher education setting.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Buddhist religious extension workers in fostering Buddhist communities in Batu through a Javanese cultural approach. It aims to analyze how the integration of local cultural values strengthens religious guidance amid challenges such as declining community participation and limited supporting resources. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation at selected temples. The data were analyzed using triangulation techniques and SWOT analysis to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges in the community development process. The findings reveal that integrating Javanese cultural values with Buddhist teachings (Dhamma) strengthens social cohesion, enhances emotional connectedness between extension workers and community members, and reinforces a more adaptive cultural–religious identity. These findings suggest that a culture-based approach not only improves the effectiveness of religious extension services but also strengthens the spiritual resilience and sustainability of Buddhist communities amid ongoing social change.

Abstract

In the modern business environment, organizations must effectively manage internal resources such as organizational culture, knowledge, and innovation in order to enhance firm performance and maintain competitiveness. This study aims to examine the role of organizational culture, knowledge sharing, and innovation capability in influencing firm performance. A quantitative research approach was employed using a cross-sectional survey design. Data were collected from 200 employees and managers working in various organizations through a structured questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, reliability testing, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on firm performance, suggesting that a supportive organizational environment encourages collaboration and improves organizational outcomes. Knowledge sharing also demonstrates a significant positive influence on firm performance by facilitating the exchange of information, expertise, and experiences among employees, which enhances organizational learning and decision-making. Furthermore, innovation capability shows the strongest positive effect on firm performance, indicating that organizations with strong innovation capabilities are better able to develop new ideas, products, and processes that contribute to competitive advantage. The findings highlight the importance of integrating organizational culture, knowledge sharing practices, and innovation capability to improve overall organizational performance. This study provides theoretical and managerial implications by emphasizing the role of intangible organizational resources in driving firm performance and sustaining long-term competitiveness in dynamic business environments.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of customer satisfaction in the relationship between digital marketing, spiritual value, and patient loyalty in pesantren-based hospitals. A quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was applied. Data were collected from 160 patients at  Yasyfin Darussalam Gontor Hospital using a structured Likert-scale questionnaire. The findings show that digital marketing and spiritual values significantly influence customer satisfaction. Spiritual value directly impacts patient loyalty, whereas digital marketing influences loyalty indirectly through satisfaction. Customer satisfaction was the strongest mediator. Integrating digital marketing strategies with spiritual services enhances patient satisfaction and loyalty. Customer satisfaction plays a key role in linking these factors to the long-term loyalty of patients. This study contributes to the literature by demonstrating the combined impact of digital marketing and spiritual care on patient loyalty, highlighting the importance of addressing both technological and emotional needs in healthcare settings. This study is limited by its focus on a single hospital with a sample size of 160 patients. The cross-sectional design restricts the ability to capture changes in patient loyalty over time, and other influencing factors such as service quality were not considered.
