Abstract

This study aimed to analyze how compensation and the work environment affect employee performance at an electricity company in Batam. Employee performance (Y) was the dependent variable, while compensation (X1) and the work environment (X2) were the independent variables. The study included all 83 employees of the electricity company in Batam. Saturated sampling (total sampling) was used, meaning the entire population was included as the sample. A descriptive and quantitative research approach was used. For data analysis, the SEM-PLS method was employed, utilizing the SmartPLS program. The results indicated that both compensation and the work environment had a significant and positive effect on employee performance at the electricity company in Batam.

Abstract

e-Government adalah pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam proses pemerintahan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, efektivitas, transparansi, dan akuntabilitas penyelenggaraan pemerintahan. Fokus penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat pengaruh Kreativitas dan Inovasi pada Keberhasilan Implementasi e-Kelurahan Gunung Panjang melalui Kinerja Aparatur. Untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya, maka digunakan metode Path Analysis. Jenis data primer atau langsung berbasis teknik wawancara terhadap 91 responden pada Agustus-November 2019. Temuan empiris membuktikan bahwa: (1) Kreativitas dan Inovasi secara langsung memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap Kinerja Aparatur Kelurahan Gunung Panjang Samarinda; (2) Kreativitas dan Inovasi secara langsung memiliki pengaruh yang positif signifikan terhadap Keberhasilan Implementasi e-Kelurahan Gunung Panjang Samarinda; (3) Kinerja Aparatur Langsung memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap Keberhasilan Implementasi e-Kelurahan Gunung Panjang Samarinda; dan (4) Kreativitas dan Inovasi secara tidak langsung memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap Keberhasilan Implementasi e-Kelurahan Gunung Panjang melalui Aparatur Kinerja.Kata Kunci: kantor publik; pegawai negeri sipil; teknologi dan informasi; analisis jalur.To what extent is the performance of the apparatus in determining the creativity and innovation of the e-Kelurahan's success? A CaseABSTRACT In the digital era, the use of technology and information has grown very rapidly to help humans in their daily work. This is inseparable from the demands of private companies and public agencies, in order to create a professional character for employees in a sustainable manner. We try to highlight the influence of creativity and innovation on the successful implementation of e-Kelurahan with the role of apparatus performance in Sidomolyo Village, Samarinda City. Path analysis techniques are used to answer the objectives and proposed hypotheses. Data interpretation was supported by survey data for 100 informant units in 2019. They are civilians who are domiciled and are taking care of the administrative needs that get services in the Sidmolyo area, so the purposive sampling technique is very appropriate to describe the characteristics of the informants. As a result, this finding concludes that creativity and innovation have a significant effect on personnel performance. from other direct influences, creativity and innovation have a significant impact on the successful implementation of e-Kelurahan. Then, the performance of the apparatus also has a significant effect on the success of implementing e-Kelurahan. Finally, especially for the indirect effect, creativity and innovation have had a significant effect on the success of implementing e-Kelurahan with the role of good apparatus performance. This study indicates that for theoretical and practical purposes, it is necessary to support the success of public services that synergize human resources and digitalization.Keywords: public office; civil servants; technology and information; path analysis.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing and knowing how to implement, monitor, and evaluate TQM in improving education services through teachers and education staff in schools and how efforts are made to maintain good education services in an educational institution. This research uses a qualitative approach to the type of research using case studies. With research subjects, namely the principal and all managerial parties of Sekolah Menegah Kejuruan Negeri 1 Dlanggu, Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the research that has been done, it shows that the implementation of TQM at Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 1 Dlanggu in improving education services involves focusing educational services on customer needs, involving all school parties in realizing school goals, and always making continuous improvements. Likewise, monitoring continues to be carried out by school principals and representatives of quality management to find out customer needs. Evaluation is carried out by assessing the needs that have been met by the school by focusing on key performance indicators and the vision, mission, and goals of the school. Various efforts have been made to maintain the quality of education services, namely by fulfilling the needs of internal and external stakeholders, increasing the competitiveness and quality of graduates, and building a good culture—a culture that is in accordance with the work culture of each skill competency or major at Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 1 Dlanggu.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of employee brand ambassadors in enhancing brand awareness and customer loyalty in marketing firms in Indonesia. The study adopts a qualitative research design and utilizes semi-structured interviews as the primary data collection method. The research participants consisted of 15 HR managers from various marketing firms in Indonesia and 10 current or past employee brand ambassadors from those firms, selected using purposive sampling. They are selected based on their strong connection to the company’s mission and values, personal interest in the product or services offered, and desire to build a personal brand. The data collected from the interviews were analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques, specifically through a thematic analysis approach. The data analysis process involved the identification of patterns, themes, and key ideas related to the research questions and objectives. The data analysis was an iterative process, with constant comparison and refinement of the categories to ensure the accuracy and validity of the findings. The findings reveal that employee brand ambassadors play a significant role in enhancing brand awareness and customer loyalty. They are selected based on their strong connection to the company’s mission and values, personal interest in the product or services offered, and desire to build a personal brand. They are trained to use a variety of strategies to promote the company’s brand and product or services, including social media, word-of-mouth marketing, attending events, and creating content. The study also highlights the impact of being a brand ambassador on the relationship between the employee and their company, as well as their colleagues. It increases employee engagement, boosts team morale, and improves overall communication. The impact of employee brand ambassadors is measured through metrics such as social media engagement, website traffic, and customer feedback. the study concludes that employee brand ambassadors are an effective way to enhance brand awareness and customer loyalty in marketing firms in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of work motivation, work discipline, and work environment on employee loyalty at PT Java Indosinergi Creative, with commitment serving as a mediating variable. Data were collected through surveys from the company's permanent employees and analyzed using robust statistical methods. The findings reveal several significant insights: firstly, work motivation positively influences employee loyalty, indicating that motivated employees demonstrate stronger allegiance to the organization. Secondly, work discipline also plays a crucial role, as employees with higher discipline levels exhibit greater loyalty. Interestingly, while a conducive work environment shows a positive influence on loyalty, its direct impact is not statistically significant, suggesting the presence of other influential factors. Moreover, employee commitment was identified as a mediator between work motivation/discipline and employee loyalty, underscoring the pivotal role of commitment in enhancing employee allegiance. However, commitment does not significantly mediate the relationship between the work environment and employee loyalty. These results are consistent with previous research but emphasize the necessity for further exploration into additional factors influencing employee loyalty. Practically, organizations are advised to bolster employee motivation and discipline while fostering a supportive work environment to bolster loyalty effectively. Socially, this research aids companies in comprehending the nuances of employee loyalty dynamics, enabling them to craft more effective human resource management strategies that promote retention and cultivate a harmonious workplace culture.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) di Kecamatan Wagir, Kabupaten Malang, adalah rendahnya literasi perpajakan (core tax) di kalangan pengurus, yang berpotensi menimbulkan pelanggaran hukum dan menghambat tata kelola keuangan yang transparan serta akuntabel. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengurus BUMDes dalam memahami serta mengimplementasikan kewajiban perpajakan melalui pelatihan berbasis simulasi teknologi Core Tax System. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan partisipatif dengan simulasi langsung, melibatkan seluruh pengurus BUMDes sebagai populasi dan peserta aktif dalam workshop, didahului asesmen kebutuhan, penyusunan modul, serta evaluasi pre-test dan post-test. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam skor literasi pajak dan kemampuan praktis peserta, dengan tingkat kepatuhan pelaporan pajak naik dari 38% menjadi 92% dalam tiga bulan pasca pelatihan. Program ini juga mendorong pembentukan tim pajak internal dan menurunkan kasus pelaporan pajak yang keliru atau terlambat. Rekomendasi utama adalah replikasi model pelatihan ini di wilayah lain dan penguatan pendampingan digital untuk mendukung good governance pada BUMDes di era digital. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat tata kelola keuangan desa yang taat pajak dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening entrepreneurship education through the alignment of faith-based institutional policies and the Teaching Factory (TeFa) learning model. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data were analyzed thematically to capture the dynamics between institutional governance, value systems, and vocational entrepreneurship learning. The findings indicate that institutional policies play a dual role as regulatory constraints and value-reinforcing mechanisms within a protective–educational framework. Key challenges identified include regulatory paradoxes, a persistent gap between theoretical learning and entrepreneurial practice, and an underdeveloped entrepreneurship ecosystem. To address these challenges, the study proposes three strategic approaches: (1) a tripartite collaboration model involving educational institutions, governing authorities, and industry partners; (2) the integration of institution-owned enterprises as a platform for implementing TeFa-based entrepreneurship learning; and (3) a multi-layered supervision system to ensure consistency with institutional values and governance. The study theoretically contributes an integrative model that bridges faith-based institutional values with industry-oriented vocational entrepreneurship education. Practically, it provides strategic insights for developing sustainable, value-based entrepreneurship ecosystems within faith-based vocational education settings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi strategi komunikasi digital dan sosialisasi langsung dalam meningkatkan jumlah mahasiswa baru di STAB Kertarajasa Batu. Meskipun telah meraih akreditasi “BAIK SEKALI” dan masuk 10 besar kampus terbaik versi Webometrics, terjadi penurunan mahasiswa baru sejak 2018 hingga 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus, dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan SWOT kuantitatif. Hasil menunjukkan kekuatan utama kampus meliputi tersedianya beasiswa (1,2), program Pabbajita (1,2), UKM (0,2), dan platform digital (1,2), dengan total skor S = 3,8. Kelemahan meliputi fungsi dosen PA belum maksimal (0,4), tidak ada sosialisasi langsung (1,2), kesenjangan intelektual (0,2), dan rendahnya motivasi mahasiswa (0,4), dengan W = 2,2. Peluang utama yaitu penerimaan mahasiswa samanera/atthasilani (1,2), studi banding (0,6), akses beasiswa (0,4), dan grup alumni (0,6), dengan O = 2,8. Ancaman meliputi banyaknya prodi di PTAB lain (1,2), sistem daring (0,9), basis calon mahasiswa minoritas (0,4), dan beasiswa anak asuh dari PTAB lain (0,6), dengan T = 3,1.

Abstract

Healthcare worker performance plays a crucial role in determining the quality of services in primary healthcare clinics. Organizational and service-related factors, such as work culture, patient satisfaction, and healthcare worker motivation, are considered important determinants of performance. However, empirical evidence regarding the mediating role of healthcare worker motivation in primary healthcare settings remains limited. This study aimed to examine the relationship between work culture and patient satisfaction with healthcare worker performance, both directly and indirectly through healthcare worker motivation as a mediating variable, in a primary healthcare clinic. An observational analytic study with a quantitative approach was conducted at a primary inpatient healthcare clinic in Mojokerto Regency, Indonesia, during September–October 2025. The study involved 20 healthcare workers and 50 patients, selected using total sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman correlation tests to assess relationships among variables. The results showed that work culture was positively associated with employee motivation (r = 0.476; p = 0.034), while patient satisfaction was positively related to healthcare worker performance (r = 0.446; p = 0.049). Healthcare worker motivation also demonstrated a significant mediating role in the relationship between work culture and healthcare worker performance (r = 0.508; p = 0.022). Improving healthcare worker performance in primary healthcare clinics requires an integrated managerial approach that emphasizes strengthening work culture, enhancing patient satisfaction, and maintaining healthcare worker motivation to support sustainable improvements in service quality.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology necessitates organizational transformation, compelling state-owned enterprises like PT PLN (Persero) to adopt digital services such as the Yanbung Mobile application. However, its implementation at UP3 Situbondo has yielded inconsistent employee performance outcomes, highlighting a gap in understanding the precise mechanisms at play. This study aims to analyze the effect of digitalization implementation and digital leadership style on employee performance, with organizational commitment as a mediating variable. Using an explanatory quantitative design, data was collected via questionnaires from all 81 Customer Connection Service Officers at PT PLN UP3 Situbondo. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach. The results indicate that digital leadership style has a significant positive direct effect on employee performance. While digitalization implementation significantly increases organizational commitment, it does not directly improve performance. Furthermore, organizational commitment does not significantly affect performance nor mediate the relationships between the independent variables and performance. These findings underscore the paramount importance of competent digital leadership over mere technological adoption in driving performance during digital transformation.
