Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' difficulties in understanding algebraic concepts in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This type of research uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, questionnaires, and three written tests. Based on the results of interviews and questionnaires conducted by teachers with the school principal and mathematics teachers, the school has implemented the Merdeka Curriculum despite limitations in resources. The Merdeka Curriculum contributes to teachers in terms of teaching modules and freedom in creativity in learning, although training is still needed. The results of the student questionnaire indicate that the majority of students have difficulty understanding algebra, especially in identifying variables, but the majority of students feel that classroom learning is interactive and enjoyable. Most students feel helped by the example questions provided by the teacher. The written test results show that students have difficulty with the use of positive and negative signs, coefficients, constants, algebraic operations, and determining variable values. This indicates that the majority of students have not yet achieved mastery of the algebra material. It can be concluded that the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMP IT Az-Zahira Khatulistiwa supports teachers in the algebra learning process through the use of teaching modules, but students still struggle to understand algebraic concepts due to the limited use of educational media, which is constrained by the school's facilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan spasial matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah bangun ruang sisi datar pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 17 Pontianak ditinjau dari gaya belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri Pontianak. Instrumen pada penelitian yaitu soal tes kemampuan spasial, angket gaya belajar, dan pedoman wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan Kemampuan spasial siswa bervariasi berdasarkan gaya belajar. Pada gaya belajar visual, siswa dengan kemampuan spasial tinggi memenuhi 3 indikator, sementara yang sedang dan rendah hanya memenuhi 1 indikator. Gaya belajar auditorial menunjukkan hasil serupa, dengan siswa tinggi memenuhi 3 indikator, sedang 2 indikator, dan rendah 1 indikator. Pada gaya kinestetik, siswa dengan kemampuan spasial sedang memenuhi 2 indikator, sementara yang rendah hanya 1 indikator. Penilaian ini mencerminkan perbedaan pemahaman spasial pada setiap gaya belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran menggunakan Macromedia Flash yang diintegrasikan dengan etnomatematika dalam konteks kue tradisional guna meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dalam materi bangun datar. Penelitian ini didasari oleh permasalahan siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika yang abstrak serta keterbatasan media pembelajaran. Model pengembangan ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D), dengan model 3D (Define, Design, Develop) yang mencakup tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan media, dan pengujian produk. Media divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan media, lalu direvisi dan diujicobakan kepada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kubu. Hasil validasi menunjukkan media sangat valid, dengan persentase 96,29% (materi) dan 98,52% (media). Respon guru dan siswa menunjukkan media dengan kategori sangat praktis dengan skor masing-masing 100% dan 81,48%. Hasil posttest menunjukkan 70,37% siswa mencapai nilai di atas KKM, yang berarti media dengan kategori efektif. Media pembelajaran ini juga mempermudah siswa memahami konsep matematika secara lebih konkret melalui pendekatan budaya lokal. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif dan bermakna secara kultural.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan awal mereka, yaitu tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan awal tinggi mampu memenuhi keempat indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif, yaitu kelancaran, fleksibilitas, elaborasi, dan orisinalitas. Sementara itu, siswa dengan kemampuan awal sedang hanya mampu memenuhi tiga aspek, yakni kelancaran, fleksibilitas, dan orisinalitas, tetapi belum menunjukkan kemampuan pada aspek elaborasi. Adapun siswa dengan kemampuan awal rendah cenderung tidak mampu mendeteksi, mengenali, memahami, serta menanggapi pernyataan dengan baik, dan hanya memenuhi salah satu dari keempat aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan awal siswa berpengaruh terhadap tingkat penguasaan aspek-aspek dalam berpikir kreatif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi pembelajaran yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan awal masing-masing siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to produce learning media in the form of comic video learning media for problem-solving abilities in similarity material in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Belitang Hilir. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) with research procedures using the ADDIE model. The subjects in this study consisted of experts (validators) and students (product trial subjects). The data collection technique in this study was an indirect communication technique with research instruments in the form of material expert validation sheets and media expert validation sheets and questionnaires. Based on the results of validation by material experts, a percentage of 89.52% was obtained with very valid criteria. The results of media expert validation obtained a percentage of 82.05% with valid criteria, the calculation of teacher response questionnaires obtained a practicality percentage of 97.65% with very practical criteria, the calculation of student response questionnaires obtained a practicality percentage of 88.19% with very practical criteria, and the posttest results obtained a percentage of effectiveness of 76.67% with effective criteria.

Abstract

Learning media are tools or materials used by teachers in the classroom to facilitate the delivery of material more effectively. In this study, the media developed was tailored to the school’s needs based on preliminary observations, specifically a digital Pop-Up Book learning media. This research aims to examine the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the digital Pop-Up Book learning media on flat-sided solid geometry material to improve the mathematical communication skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Kakap. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with a modified 4D method reduced to 3D, consisting of the define, design, and develop stages. The data collection techniques employed include measurement techniques, indirect communication, and direct communication. The instruments used consist of validation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. Data were analyzed using validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests. The validity test results showed a percentage of 83.3% categorized as very valid, the practicality test yielded 92.02% categorized as very practical, and the effectiveness test reached 80% categorized as effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berupa media pembelajaran matematika edukatif berbasis video animasi terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada materi teori peluang di kelas VIII SMP Mandiri Pontianak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan prosedur penelitian yang menggunakan model ADDIE. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas ahli (validator) dan siswa (subjek uji coba produk). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah Teknik komunikasi tidak langsung dengan instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi ahli materi dan lembar validasi ahli media serta angket. Berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh ahli materi diperoleh persentase sebesar 83,30% dengan kriteria valid. Hasil validasi ahli media diperoleh persentase sebesar 83,85% dengan kriteria valid, perhitungan angket respon guru diperoleh persentase kepraktisan sebesar 97% dengan kriteria sangat praktis, perhitungan angket angket respon siswa diperoleh persentase kepraktisan sebesar 90,64% dengan kriteria sangat praktis, dan hasil posstest diperoleh persentase keefektifan sebesar 89,47% dengan kriteria efektif.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students' errors in solving composition function problems based on the Ennis Criteria. This research uses a qualitative approach and the type of research is descriptive. The research subjects were class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Belitang Hilir. The instrument in this research is test questions which are analyzed using the Ennis criteria indicators and interview guidelines. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that students (1) with high abilities made mistakes in the situation and overview criteria; (2) Medium ability students make mistakes in the inference, situation and overview criteria; (3) Low ability students make mistakes in the criteria of focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity and overview.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Geogebra-assisted learning videos on the mathematical representation abilities of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Sintang on linear programming material. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) ADDIE model with five stages consisting of Analysis, Desigh (design/planning), Development (development), Implementation (implementation) and Evaluation (evaluation). The product development subjects in this research were media expert validators, namely two mathematics education subjects and one mathematics subject teacher, material experts, namely two mathematics education lecturers and one mathematics subject teacher, and the product trial subjects were class XI IPS 1 students at SMA Negeri 1 Sintang with 28 students. The data collection technique used is indirect communication techniques with research instruments in the form of validation sheets and response questionnaires, as well as measurement techniques in the form of description tests. Based on the results obtained, the conclusion in this research is that the learning videos developed are suitable for use in the learning process with the validation results from media experts and material experts obtaining validity with a percentage of 87.29% with very valid criteria; practicality was obtained from the teacher response questionnaire and student responses with a percentage of 85.89% with very practical criteria; and effectiveness measured from student test results obtained a percentage of 64.28% effective.
