Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of students’ adaptive reasoning abilities through the reciprocal teaching model. This research is experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study were first semester students of class B IKIP PGRI Pontianak with cluster random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and inferential to test whether there was an increase in adaptive reasoning skills through the reciprocal teaching model. The results showed that the students obtained the initial test score with an average of 21,23 while the final test score with an average of 71,36. After applying the reciprocal teaching model to the students’ adaptive reasoning ability, they obtained a sig. 0,000 where sig. < 0,05 (?). Thus the reciprocal teaching model can improve students’ adaptive reasoning abilities.

Abstract

This research is a development research that aims to develop and assess the quality of mathematical teaching materials based on fable books character in a rectangular material that is valid, meets classical completeness, and good student response The type of research used is Research & Development (R & D) research with reference to the Borg & Gall model. The experimental subjects in this study were seventh grade students of MTs Al-huda, Mubung Village, Hulu Gurung Subdistrict, Kapuas Hulu District with a total of 17 students. Based on the results of a limited trial conducted, it was found that (1) the results of character fable book validation obtained the average score of 85,42% with a very valid category so there was no need to revise and experts stated that the developed fable character was feasible to be used and can be tested in the field, (2) the results of testing the use of products through student learning outcomes tests obtained classical completeness were 76,47% so as to achieve classical completeness where the completeness of classical completeness set at MTs Al-huda Mubung Village is 70%, and (3) student responses to Mathematical teaching materials based on fable books with character with an average score of 87,54% with a very good category

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan E-LKM berbasis konstruktivisme berbantuan quizizz dalam meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis mahasiswa pada teori graph. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan Thiagarajan dengan 3 tahap yaitu tahap define, design, dan develop. Produk valid dilihat dari hasil validasi ahli, produk praktis dilihat dari hasil angket, sedangkan produk efektif dilihat dari hasil uji coba. Hasil validasi para ahli memperoleh aspek materi dinyatakan sangat valid dengan hasil sebesar 4,67 sedangkan aspek media dinyatakan sangat valid dengan hasil sebesar 4,09. Hasil angket dosen pengampu mata kuliah memperoleh hasil sebesar 4,29 dengan kriteria sangat praktis, sedangkan hasil angket respon mahasiswa diperoleh hasil sebesar 4,53 dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Hasil uji coba memperoleh hasil terdapat peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis mahasiswa pada mata kuliah teori graph dimana terdapat peningkatan nilai pretest dan posttest mahasiswa sehingga produk efektif digunakan dalam perkuliahan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan E-LKM berbasis konstruktivisme berbantuan quizizz dapat memfasilitasi pencapaian kemampuan representasi matematis mahasiswa pada mata kuliah teori graph.

Abstract

This study aims to find significant differences in mathematics learning achievement of students with personality types (Sanguine, Melancholic, Choleric, Phlegmatic). It is a quasi-experimental study using Factorial Design as its research design. The population of this study is all students from class X MIA SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak. Samples are taken applying a purposive sampling technique. The collected data are in the form of mathematics learning achievement and questionnaire. The scores oflearning achievement are obtained from multiple-choice tests. The questionnaire distributed is a test of personality types (Sanguine, Melancholic, Choleric, Phlegmatic). Data are analyzed using One Way Analysis of Variance (Anova). The results show there are significant differences in mathematics learning achievement of students with personality types (Sanguine, Melancholic, Choleric, Phlegmatic), as proved in the results of the analysis fh = 0,139 < ft = 2,92.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) manakah yang memberikan prestasi belajar yang lebih baik, metode ceramah atau metode diskusi; (2) manakah yang memiliki prestasi belajar yang lebih baik, mahasiswa laki-laki atau perempuan; (3) pada masing-masing model pembelajaran, manakah yang mempunyai prestasi belajar yang lebih baik, mahasiswa laki-laki atau perempuan; (4) pada masing-masing jenis kelamin, manakah yang memberikan prestasi yang lebih baik, metode ceramah atau metode diskusi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental semu dengan populasi seluruh mahasiswa semester 5 di kelas pagi Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika IKIP-PGRI Pontianak. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik stratified cluster random sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 68 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi metode dokumentasi untuk mendapatkan nilai MID mata kuliah Matematika Ekonomi tahun akademik 2015/2016 sebagai data kemampuan awal dan nilai UAS mata kuliah Matematika Ekonomi untuk data prestasi belajar matematika mahasiswa. Uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut. (1) Pembelajaran matematika ekonomi menggunakan metode ceramah menghasilkan prestasi belajar matematika yang sama dengan metode diskusi. (2) Mahasiswa laki-laki maupun perempuan memiliki prestasi belajar matematika yang sama. (3) Pada masing-masing metode pembelajaran, mahasiswa laki-laki maupun perempuan memiliki prestasi belajar matematika yang sama. (4) Pada masing-masing jenis kelamin, pembelajaran matematika ekonomi menggunakan metode ceramah dan metode diskusi menghasilkan prestasi belajar matematika yang sama. Kata kunci: metode ceramah, metode diskusi, jenis kelamin Abstract The aims of this study were to investigate: (1) which learning method produces student’s better mathematics learning achievement, speech method or discussion method; (2) which student’s have better mathematics learning achievement, male or female; (3) viewed from learning methods, which student’s have better mathematics learning achievement, male or female; (4) viewed from gender, which learning method produces better mathematics learning achievement, speech method or discussion method. This research used quasi experimental method with its population included all of students of 5th semester in morning class Program Study of Mathematics Education IKIP-PGRI Pontianak. Sampling was done by stratified cluster random sampling technique. The size of the sample was 68 students. The data collection technique was include the documentation method to get the 2015/2016 MID Test of Economy Mathematics subject for initial capability data before the experiment and Final test of Economy Mathematics subject for mathematics student’s achievement data. The data was analyzed using analysis of variance. Based on these results it can be concluded as follows. (1) Economy mathematics learning using speech method produced the same mathematics achievement as using discussion method. (2) For male or female students have the same mathematics achievement. (3) Viewed from learning method, male or female students have the same mathematics achievement. (4) Viewed from gender, economy mathematics learning using speech method and discussion method have the same mathematics achievement. Keywords: speech method, discussion method, gender

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze whether there is a significant correlation between the practicum to final grade of the General Biology subject of Mathematics Education student IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Research subjects are all students of Mathematics Education which follow the subjects and practicum of General Biology starting from academic year 2014/2015 until 2016/2017. Instrument in this research is documentation of data result of practicum and final score of General Biology of academic year 2014/2015 until 2016/2017. Based on the result of research and discussion, it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between the practicum to final score of the General Biology subject of Mathematics Education Student IKIP PGRI Pontianak for the academic year 2014/2015, 2015/2016, and 2016/2017 with the result of p value (Asymp Sig 2 tailed) of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05 Keywords: correlation, practicum, final score.

Abstract

This research to classify the most comparison and described the results of the study grade VII B students SMP Koperasi Pontianak the academic year 2017/2018, based on cognitive Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. Research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were students of class VII B with high and low ability levels. The instruments in this research were daily test questions and student answer sheets on the subject of comparison and interview guidelines. Based on the results of research, obtained the percentage classifications about 20% for understand (C2) and 80% for apply (C3). Students' mathematics learning outcomes based on cognitive domains Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy is that students are better able to solve problems with an understanding indicator of 60% than the problem with the indicator applying at 19.2%. Students with high ability to achieve indicators understand and apply while students with low abilities do not reach both indicators. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat peraga papan perkalian berbasis Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dalam materi bilangan bulat pada siswa kelas VII MTs. Al-Ihsan Padang Tikar yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang mengacu pada model menurut Borg and Gall yang dimodifikasi menjadi 7 langkah yaitu (1) potensi dan masalah (2) pengumpulan data (3) desain produk (4) validasi desain (5) revisi desain (6) uji coba produk (7) revisi produk. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi, angket dan soal test. Angket digunakan untuk validasi ahli, respon guru dan siswa, sedangkan soal tes digunakan untuk penilaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menghasilkan alat peraga dengan tingkat kevalidan sebesar 82,86% dengan kriteria valid, hasil angket respon guru dan siswa dengan rata-rata sebesar 82,86% dengan kriteria praktis dan hasil pengerjaan soal test kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis oleh siswa sebesar 70,00% dengan kriteria efektif. Kata kunci; alat peraga papan perkalian; pemecahan masalah matematis; problem based learning ABSTRACT This study aims to develop amultiplication board props for Problem Based Learning mathematical problem solving abilities in integer material for grade VII students of MTs. Al-Ihsan Padang Tikar which is valid, practical, and effective. This research is a development research that refers to the model according to Borg and Gall which is modified into 7 steps, namely (1) potentials and problems (2) data collection (3) product design (4) design validation (5) design revision (6) testing product (7) product revision. The instrument used were validation sheets, questionnaires andquestions test. Questionnaires are used for expert validation, teacher and student responses, while test questions are used for assessing students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This study produced props with a validity level of 82.86% with valid criteria, the results of the teacher and student response questionnaires with an average of 82.86% with practical criteria and the results of thequestions were test students' mathematical problem solving ability 70.00. % with effective criteria. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat tingkat kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan dari media pembelajaran video animasi menggunakan software Powtoon terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam materi Sistem Persamaan Linier Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (RnD). Model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu 4D yang dimodifikasi menjadi 3D yaitu define, design, dan develop. Subjek penelitiannya yaitu siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 22 Pontianak dengan jumlah 12 orang siswa. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan observasi, angket, dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba yang telah dilakukan diperoleh bahwa (1) hasil validasi media pembelajaran video animasi menggunakan software Powtoon diperoleh hasil rata-rata penilaian sebesar 92,36% dengan kategori sangat valid maka tidak perlu dilakukan revisi dan para ahli menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran video animasi menggunakan software Powtoon yang dikembangkan telah layak untuk digunakan dan dapat diujicobakan di lapangan, (2) respon siswa dan guru terhadap video animasi menggunakan software Powtoon diperoleh hasil rata-rata penilaian sebesar 92,12% dengan kategori sangat praktis, dan (3) hasil dari pengerjaan posttest siswa didapatkan hasil sebesar 83,33% dengan kriteria efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in student's problem-solving abilities through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the direct learning model, the differences in students' problem-solving abilities through the PBL model, and the direct learning model in terms of the characteristics of the way of thinking. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a two-way ANOVA design. The sample in this study was the fifth-semester students of class A and B IKIP PGRI Pontianak using the cluster random sampling technique. The used research instrument was a test of problem-solving ability in discrete mathematics courses and a questionnaire on the characteristics of the way of thinking. This study resulted in a difference between student's problem-solving abilities through the PBL model and the direct learning model. The results showed that there were no differences in students' problem-solving abilities through the PBL model and the direct learning model in terms of the characteristics of both the way of thinking, the way of thinking in Concrete Sequences (CS), Sequences Abstract (SA), Concrete Random (CR), or Abstract Random (AR).
