Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of trust and accountability in muzaki's decision to pay zakat mal through the transformation of the digital zakat platform at BAZNAS in Jombang Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation, with data validity testing using source and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the transformation of the digital zakat platform contributes to increasing trust and accountability in zakat management, thereby facilitating muzaki in fulfilling their zakat obligations effectively and efficiently. The trust of muzaki is reflected in the dimensions of ability, integrity, and benevolence, while accountability is demonstrated through transparent reporting, ease of access to information, and a transaction confirmation system in the perspective of Shari'ah Interprise Theory. Digital transformation also provides convenience and certainty for muzaki in the zakat payment process, thereby encouraging increased participation in the use of the digital zakat platform.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Influencer Endorsement and Electronic Word of Mouth (eWOM) on purchase intention of halal culinary products among Generation Z TikTok users in Surabaya. Influencer Endorsement is measured through three dimensions: Attractiveness, Trustworhtiness, and Expertise. This research employs a quantitative associative approach using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to Generation Z respondents who reside in Surabaya and actively use TikTok. A total of 130 respondents participated in this study. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results indicate that Attractiveness, Trustworhtiness, and Expertise of Influencer Endorsement have a significant positive effect on purchase intention toward halal culinary products among Generation Z TikTok users. Influencers who possess strong visual appeal, credibility, and relevant knowledge are able to create positive perceptions and encourage consumers’ intention to purchase promoted halal culinary products. Conversely, eWOM does not have a significant effect on purchase intention. This finding suggests that information and online reviews circulating on TikTok are perceived as supplementary considerations amid the rapid flow of digital content, leading Generation Z to be more selective in processing online information before forming purchase intentions.

Abstract

The low level of wealth distribution literacy based on mawaris principles among urban Muslim families has the potential to generate injustice and conflict within households. This community service activity aimed to enhance the understanding and awareness of urban Muslim families regarding the importance of applying mawaris principles in family wealth distribution. The activity was conducted at the PKK Women’s Community of Wiyung Brantas Permai on April 19, 2025, involving 23 participants. An educative and participatory approach was employed through interactive lectures, group discussions, case studies, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding of the basic concepts and mechanisms of mawaris, accompanied by changes in attitudes and awareness toward planning family wealth distribution in accordance with Islamic principles. The activity also received positive responses from participants and has the potential to generate sustainable impact through the strategic role of women within the family. Thus, this community service initiative contributes to strengthening Islamic financial literacy and promoting equitable wealth distribution in urban Muslim communities.

Abstract

Introduction: Islam urges every Muslim to work and comply with all Islamic principles. The Centre of Statistical Data (BPS) of Sukohajo noted that 94.8% of Sukoharjo’s population is Muslim. This indicates that Sukoharjo has great economic potential, especially in the field of halal lifestyle. This paper conducted a study with the aim to analyse the application of Islamic business ethics to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sukoharjo. Research Methods: This research employs a qualitative analysis with a descriptive analysis method. Primary data were obtained through interviews and documentation with 28 MSMEs in Sukoharjo as the research sample. The data is then analysed by data reduction, data display, and data verification. Results: The result shows that the majority of MSMEs in Sukoharjo Regency have implemented Islamic business ethics such as honesty, fairness, greetings, trust, and selling halal products. However, religious activities for employees lack the practices. There are several internal and external factors shaping the implementation of Islamic business ethics of MSMEs in Sukoharjo, namely internal factors (beliefs) and external factors (science, family, social environment, experience, and type of business). Conclusion: The study humbly urges the Indonesian Ulema Council to incorporate Islamic business ethics in their teachings, shaping a better understanding of society and leading the optimisation of the application.

Abstract

Sharia stock investment interest among university students remains relatively low despite the rapid development of Indonesia’s Islamic capital market. This study aims to examine the effects of Islamic financial literacy and risk perception on the investment interest of Islamic Economics students in sharia stocks in Surabaya. The study employed a quantitative approach using purposive sampling involving 120 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using SPSS through appropriate statistical procedures. The findings indicate that both Islamic financial literacy and risk perception have a positive and significant effect on students’ interest in investing in sharia stocks. Islamic financial literacy demonstrates a relatively stronger influence than risk perception, indicating that students’ knowledge and understanding of Islamic financial principles play an important role in shaping investment decisions. This study contributes empirically to the literature on Islamic investment behavior by highlighting the importance of strengthening Islamic financial literacy alongside risk awareness. The findings also provide practical implications for universities, financial institutions, and policymakers in developing educational programs that encourage informed and responsible sharia stock investment among students
