Abstract

Natural rubber asphalt modification is the result of the mixing of asphalt with natural rubber plus chemical additives of vulcanization (sulfur) that are mixed into one in a hot state. The addition of natural rubber makes the asphalt more elastic and able to withstand loads from heavier vehicles, more heat-resistant, and more adhesive to aggregates that make the road surface more resistant to cracks and holes. The research aims to analyze indirect tensile strength values in asphalt-modified natural rubber. The research method is a laboratory experimental study referring to SNI 6753:2015, with immersion variations of  ½ hour, 24 hours, 48 hours, and 72 hours. The results of the study were indirect tensile strength values at congestion for 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, and 72 hours in a row of 459,752 KPa, 427,571 KPa, 379,771 KPa, and 379,971 KPa. The resulting tensile strength ratio for each variation is 100%, 92.98%, 82.59%, and 75.52%. The study concluded that the tensile strength ratio at submersion for ½ hours, 24 hours, and 48 hours meets the requirements of the AASTHO T-283 specification.

Abstract

Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) is the result of dredging the old road pavement which is usually used as backfill and has even become waste that is usually rarely used. RAP material that is no longer used can be used as an additive in the manufacture of new asphalt concrete with rejuvenator. This study aims to determine the durability of used motor vehicle oil as a rejuvenating agent for RAP on the Lataston mixture gradation (HRS-WC) on Marshall and IRS characteristics. The testing stage is to test the characteristics of the RAP material. The optimum asphalt content (KAO) for the aggregate was obtained at 7,24%, while the optimum used oil content was obtained at 4,94% by weight of asphalt as a RAP rejuvenator. Marshall and IRS characteristics testing are in accordance with the 2018 Highways specification. Marshall test results show that as the amount of used oil freshener is added, the ability of the mixture to withstand loads decreases and the flexibility of the mixture increases, resulting in reduced asphalt durability represented by testing IRS 30 minutes and 24 hours which showed the durability value obtained a value of 60,49% in the Lataston mixture. As a result, the IRS value does not meet the requirements of the 2018 Highways Specification of 90%, so it is concluded that the results of the tests carried out do not meet the durability requirements and cannot be applied in the field..

Abstract

Tanah yaitu material yang terdiri dari butiran mineral, organic, dan endapan yang relative lepas. Klasifikasi tanah sistem unified (USCS) dilakukan untuk menentukan pengelompokkan jenis tanah tanah berdasarkan distribusi ukuran butirannya.Jenis tanah baik itu sifat fisis dan mekanis merupakan faktor penting yang harus dipertimbangan dalam perencanaan konstruksi agar tidak terjadi kegagalan konstruksi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengklasifikasikan jenis tanah yang terdapat di Kecamatan Mandau Kabupaten Bengkalis. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode klasifikasi USCS. Peneltian ini menggunakan dari 4 titik yang terdapat di Kecamatan Mandau Kabupaten Bengkalis. Analisa yang dilakukan adalah dengan mengambil sampel tanah di lapangan, kemudian dilakukan pengujian sifat fisis di laboratorium. %. Untuk klasifikasi yang diperoleh yaitu tergolong tanah lempung dan tanah lanau. Klasifikasi tanah dipengaruhi oleh nilai Indeks Plastisitas (PI), dari hasil penelitian ini nilai Indeks Plastisitas terbesar yaitu sampel tanah titik sebesar 26.54 dengan klasifikasi tanah MH lanau tak organik. Kesimpulannya klasifikasi tanah berdasrkan metode USCS pada sampel tanah yang diuji yaitu tergolong klasifikasi tanah lanau dan lempung. Klasifikasi ini diperoleh berdasarkan nilai lolos saringan No.200 dan nilai LL serta PI.

Abstract

Angkutan barang over loading sering melewati ruas jalan lintas provinsi yang merupakan Jalan Nasional,sehingga mengakibatkan kerusakan pada permukaan jalan. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengetahui beban kendaraan terhadap penurunan umur rencana perkerasan jalan. Data yangdigunakan untuk angkutan adalah data primer dengan mengamati langsung hasil penimbangan angkutan barang di UPPKB Muara Lembu selama 7 hari. Untuk data sekunder berupa data LHR tahun 2020 dan data gambar teknik pemeliharaan perkerasan ruas jalan nasional. Untuk menganalisis beban kendaraan danpenurunan umur rencana menggunakan metode AASHTO 1993. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bebankendaraan di ruas jalan tersebut dalam keadaan muatan normal sebesar 1.064.232,81 ESAL dan kondisi realkendaraan yang melewati jalan tersebut menghasilkan jumlah repetisi beban lalulintas sebesar 6.640.034,55ESAL pada akhir umur rencana. Untuk keadaan over loading nilai daya rusak kumulatif kendaraan meningkatmenjadi 3.527.541,81 ESAL sehingga menghasilkan jumlah repetisi beban lalulintas kendaraan sebesar22.009.281,42 ESAL pada akhir umur rencana. Imbas angkutan barang over loading terhadap umur rencanaperkerasan jalan tersebut terjadi penurunan sebesar 64,6 %.

Abstract

Riverside areas have unique and varied characters that are not the same as others in terms of social, economic, cultural, and environmental aspects. The unique and specific character of the Pulau Semut Tourism object located in the Limbungan Village Pengambangan Area can be developed according to its potential. The location is on the side of the river which is still natural because it has a mangrove forest that is still beautiful. The local wisdom of this tourist attraction is that it is managed by the local community, with tourist destinations that are still natural, and there are several local products from fish processing that are worth developing as a local potential-based tourism concept. Partners still need to be assisted in terms of preparing local potential-based tourism concepts. The methods used are the discussion method, activity planning method, and implementation method. The result is that the concept displayed on the map is the local potential, namely the balimau spot and the culinary meatballs of rasau fish. In conclusion, the preparation of the Ant Island tourism concept emphasizes the local potential of Ant Island tourism.

Abstract

Lapisan perkerasan jalan yang menjadi bagian konstruksi paling penting penting adalah subgrade atau tanah dasar, fungsinya untuk mendukung beban yang ada di atasnya. Usaha yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan nilai daya dukung tanah dasar adalah dengan perbaikan fisik tanah yaitu dengan mengganti tanah tersebut dengan tanah timbun. Tanah timbunan sebagai pengganti tanah dasar memiliki karakteristik yang harus sesuai dengan Spesifikasi Bina Marga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik tanah timbun sebagai pengganti subgrade jalan. Metode pengujian yaitu pengujian laboratorium. Sampel tanah timbun diambil dari Bekasab, Duri. Hasil penelitian untuk karakteristik tanah timbun yaitu untuk sifat fisis tanah tergolong klasifikasi CL yaitu lempung tak organik. Sifat mekanis tanah timbun diperoleh nilai CBR sebesar 16,80%. Kesimpulannya karakteristik tanah timbun untuk pengganti subgrade tidak diperbolehkan plastisitas tinggi dan untuk sifat mekanis nilai CBR berdasarkan Spesifikasi Bina Marga Tahun 2018 Revisi 2 > 6%.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has unique tourism potential areas. Semut Island is an ecotourism that is still beautiful with the development of a local community-based tourism sector. Access to tourist attraction locations is still unknown to many people around Pekanbaru City. For this reason, a map of tourist attraction locations is needed to make it easier for visitors to access tourist locations. Before a tourist map is created, it is necessary to identify potential tourist attractions in Semut Island. This activity aims to help partners identify the potential of the Semut Island tourist attraction. The method used is the discussion and mentoring method. As a result, partners were able to identify the potential of the Semut Island tourist attraction and were able to form a grand design for the Semut Island tourist attraction.

Abstract

The use of reference management applications or citation managers such as Mendeley can help students who are working on their final assignments to write their theses more comprehensively. In the process of working on a final assignment, there are often limitations in accessing popular reference sources. A community service activity with our partner, Young Researchers in Pekanbaru City, this activity aims to assist our partners in making citations to facilitate the completion of their final reports. The solution offered by the service team is to provide training on using Mendeley. The implementation method used includes lectures, discussions, and evaluations through the provision of pre-tests and post-tests. The pre-test results showed that 82.26% of participants were unable to install the application, and after the training, the post-test results indicated that 100% of the participants were able to install, use the Mendeley application, and create a bibliography.

Abstract

Vocational High Schools are schools in the realm of secondary-level education to prepare students who are ready to work in certain fields. To improve the student competency skills (soft skills) in 3D drawing, the students of SMKN 2 Pekanbaru can be provided with drawing training using the Sketchup program. SMKN 2 Pekanbaru has 12 skills programs, namely construction and housing engineering, modeling design and building information, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, analytical chemistry, industrial chemical engineering, electronics engineering, welding and metal fabrication engineering, geospatial engineering, software and game development, electrical engineering, computer network engineering, and telecommunications. SketchUp is a 3D graphic design program owned by Google. This application is usually used by civil engineering professionals, architects, or designers in creating 3D designs related to building design, architectural design work, game creation, and related matters. 3D drawing training for SMKN 2 Pekanbaru students aims to improve students' competency and soft skills in the field of 3D drawing. The methods used are the telling method, practice, and evaluation stage. As a result, the students of SMKN 2 Pekanbaru were enthusiastic about receiving this training, where 100% of the participants understood the material provided.

Abstract

Pengambangan is an area located in the Limbungan Village which has tourism potential on the banks of the Siak River so that it can be developed into a natural tourist attraction. Its location on the Siak River makes it a tourist attraction that resembles an island located between the Siak River and the mouth of the river. The ebb and flow of river water plus water waves caused by boats and speedboats crossing the area so that the waves can erode the cliffs of the Semut Island tourist attraction. The purpose of this service is to assist partners in building retaining walls. The method used is lectures and discussions. The result is that the design of the retaining wall is made of the type of wire gabion that is adapted to the conditions of the location. The work items are gabion work, geotextile (non-woven) work, surface embankment work, and cliff-fill embankment workThis counseling helps partners in assisting with planning and retaining walls. Abstrak Pengambangan merupakan daerah yang berada di Kelurahan Limbungan yang memiliki potensi wisata yang berada di tepi Sungai Siak sehingga dapat dikembangkan menjadi objek wisata alam. Lokasinya yang berada di sungai siak mengakibatkan objek wisata yang menyerupai pulau yang berada diantara sungai siak dan muara sungai. Pasang surut air sungai ditambah gelombang air yang diakibatkan oleh perahu dan speedboat yang melintasi wilayah tersebut sehingga gelombang dapat mengikis tebing dari objek wisata Pulau Semut. Tujuan pengabdian yaitu mendampingi mitra dalam membuat dinding penahan tanah. Metode yang dilakukan dengan ceramah dan diskusi. Hasilnya perencanaan dinding penahan tanah dibuat adalah tipe bronjong kawat yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi lokasinya. Item pekerjaan yaitu pekerjaan bronjong, pekerjaan geotextile (non woven), pekerjaan timbunan permukaan, dan pekerjaan timbunan pengisi tebing. Penyuluhan ini membantu mitra dalam pemdampingan membuat perencanaan dan dinding penahan tanah.
