Abstract

This research discusses the existence of the Arabic language during the Abbasid Era, known as the golden period of development of Arabic language and literature, marked by unprecedented intellectual, institutional and cultural progress. This research aims to analyze the dynamics of the development of Arabic language and literature in the Abbasid era by highlighting the factors that encouraged this progress—such as large-scale translations, cultural interactions across civilizations, scientific patronage, and the maturation of literary criticism—and examining their implications for the development of contemporary Arabic language and literature. This study shows that the Abbasid period formed a solid foundation for linguistic traditions through the codification of grammar, enrichment of vocabulary, and the influence of rationalist thought which encouraged literary creativity. In contemporary times, this legacy is reflected in the renewal (tajdīd) of modern Arabic literature, the formation of new critical theories, and the revitalization of the Arabic language through standardization movements and the development of terms. The results of this study confirm that the historical continuity between the Abbasid period and the modern era plays an important role in maintaining the relevance of Arabic language and literature as a medium for intellectual expression, aesthetics and cultural identity in the current global context. Penelitian ini membahas eksistensi bahasa Arab pada Masa Bani Abbasiyah dikenal sebagai periode keemasan perkembangan bahasa dan sastra Arab, ditandai oleh kemajuan intelektual, institusional, dan kultural yang belum pernah terjadi sebelumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dinamika perkembangan bahasa dan sastra Arab pada era Abbasiyah dengan menyoroti faktor-faktor yang mendorong kemajuan tersebut—seperti penerjemahan besar-besaran, interaksi budaya lintas peradaban, patronase ilmiah, dan pematangan kritik sastra—serta menelaah implikasinya terhadap perkembangan bahasa dan sastra Arab kontemporer. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa periode Abbasiyah membentuk fondasi kokoh bagi tradisi kebahasaan melalui kodifikasi gramatika, pengayaan kosakata, serta pengaruh pemikiran rasionalis yang mendorong kreativitas sastra. Di masa kontemporer, warisan tersebut tercermin dalam pembaruan (tajdīd) sastra Arab modern, pembentukan teori kritik baru, serta revitalisasi bahasa Arab melalui gerakan standardisasi dan pengembangan istilah. Hasil kajian ini menegaskan bahwa kesinambungan historis antara periode Abbasiyah dan era modern berperan penting dalam mempertahankan relevansi bahasa dan sastra Arab sebagai medium ekspresi intelektual, estetika, dan identitas budaya dalam konteks global saat ini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hal-hal apa saja yang melatarbelakangi penciptaan Bi’ah Lughawiyyah di Pondok Pesantren Darul Huffadh Bone, mendeskripsikan model penciptaan Bi’ah Lughawiyyah, dan menganalisa peran dari kegiatan Bi’ah Lughawiyyah yang diterapkan di Pondok Pesantren Darul Huffadh dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data riset lapangan, meliputi teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Penciptaan bi’ah lughawiyyah di Pondok Pesantren Darul Huffadh dilatarbelakangi karena Pondok Pesantren Darul Huffadh memadukan dua muatan akademis yaitu tahfiz\ al-Qur’an dengan Kulliyatul Mu’allimin al-Islamiyyah (KMI). Berbagai matapelajaran umumnya berbahasa Arab, selain itu terdapat matapelajaran fiqh dan matapelajaran bahasa Inggris, sehingga santri memiliki motivasi untuk memahami dan menguasai bahasa Arab dan bahasa Inggris. Disamping untuk mengetahui isi al-Qur’an dan hadis| juga mampu memahami buku-buku yang menjadi bahan ajar. Adapun model-model penciptaan bi’ah lughawiyyah di Pondok Pesantren Darul Huffadh secara umun yaitu: melakukan kegiatan pemberian kosakata, al-muha>das|||\ah, al-muha>darah, mengadakan kursus, mengadakan tajassus bagi santri yang melanggar disiplin berbahasa, melakukan penyiaran berita, memasang mading di setiap tempat. Adapun peran bi’ah lughawiyyah terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Arab secara garis besar dinyatakan berhasil dalam mencapai tujuan yang direncanakan, yaitu meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Arab santri, dimana santri mampu menggunakan bahasa Arab sebagai alat komunikasi sehari-hari.

Abstract

The basis for implementation Al-Qur'an education includes Government policies, financing, namely funding sources, education management functions in the implementation of Al-Qur'an education, utilization of human resources, and members as well as students. Implementation challenges of Al-Qur'an education, among others: the era of globalization, human moral decadence, and prioritizing world affairs that can provide something material and less inclined to pursue amaliyah for preparation and provision in the hereafter. Expectations in the implementation of Al-Qur'an education, among others: building believers and increasing intelligence in the field of religion, increasing friendship and Ukhuwah Islamiyah relations, and centers of knowledge in society, namely the implementation of Al-Qur'an education provides great hope for Muslims, namely the information center for the development of Islamic knowledge, the center for fostering Islamic knowledge, and the Islamic religious consultation center.

Abstract

This paper discusses the dynamics of the establishment of Islamic boarding schools in the minority areas of Jayapura City. This research method is a qualitative research with the approach used is the phenomenological approach and scientific approaches in the form of sociological and historical. The source of the data of this research is the boarding school caretakers, religious teachers, students, community leaders, traditional leaders, coaches, mentors, educators, and the community. Furthermore, the data collection methods used are observation, interview, documentation, and triangulation. The next stage is data processing techniques and data analysis is done through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study indicate that there are three concepts that become the dynamics of the establishment of huts in minority areas, namely: 1) History of its establishment including: there are indications of apostasy in remote areas of transimigration in Jayapura and Keerom Papua, the assumption of the Islamization of the majority of people in Jayapura, the existence of mosques which is very quiet from the pilgrims, the assumption of Islamic boarding schools as a stronghold of Muslims, and the assumption that Islamic boarding schools print human resources with a radical mindset, the involvement of traditional leaders. 2) Institutional development, including: formal and non-formal education. 3) Contributions of Islamic boarding schools include: the social religious field, the field of religious harmony, and the cultural field based on local wisdom.

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Al Mawaddah Warrahmah Kolaka since its inception in 1998. Aims to form a generation of Qurani. During its development, efforts were made to achieve this goal, one of which was to form a tradition of reciting the chosen surah of the Koran after performing obligatory prayers and sunnah, including recitation of surah al-waqiah after performing the Fajr prayer. By using the theory of social construction of reality offered by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmaan in the form of externalization, objectification and internalization phases. The research shows that the reading of the communal pesantren towards surah al-waqiah emits several social meanings, namely: obedience to the Kiai and the rules of the boarding school, expecting blessings from reading the Koran, getting fadhilah from the recited surah, and as mediation in tahsin and tahfiz. on the surah of the Koran that is read.

Abstract

This study elaborates the application of semiotic theory in Surah Maryam (Maryam). This study is library research. The library research was conducted through various literature studies related to the problem investigated. The approach used is a semiotic approach. The data sources are divided into two; primary and secondary data. The primary data source is the Qur'an (surah Maryam) and the secondary data sources are books of interpretation, semiotics and linguistics. The data collection is done by quoting, adapting, and analyzing the representative literature and relevant to the problems discussed, then reviewing and concluding. The study results showed three forms of semiotic application in Surah Maryam: first, semiotics of significance from Ferdinand de Saussure's (synchronic-diachronic theory). Second, semiotics of communication from Charles S. Peirce's includes iconic, indexical, and symbolic theories. Third, connotative semiotics from Roland Barthes' which consists of denotative meaning and connotative meaning. This study implies that the semiotic reading of the Qur’an prioritizes the interpretation of the text in a synchronic and diachronic, denotative and connotative way. Hopefully, by this reading, religious and Islamic moderation could be achieved.
