Abstract

Introduction: Female student is part of the young women who have a risk of anemia. Anemia that usually occurs in adolescent girls is the result of a lack of Fe intake in the body. The intake of Fe into the body is influenced by various things, one of which is knowledge about anemia which can impact the consumption of food sources of Fe. Objective: This study aims to determine the correlation between knowledge of anemia and intake of food sources of Fe in UMS health science students. Method: The design of this study was observational with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this research is the 3rd semester students of the health sciences faculty of UMS. The number of samples is 87 respondents. The sampling technique used is accidental sampling. The instruments in this study were the anemia knowledge questionnaire and the SQ-FFQ Form. Statistic test used is Rank Spearman. Result: The results showed that as many as 53 respondents (61%) had a good level of knowledge and most of the respondents had a low-level intake of Fe sources, as much 77 respondents (88.5%). The results of the Spearman Rank test showed the ? value of 0.814 (> 0.05) had no correlation between knowledge and intake of food sources of Fe in UMS health science students. Consclusion: A good level of knowledge is not sure to be able to change a person's eating habits, because a level of knowledge is not a main influenced factor of a person's eating habits but also environmental, socio-economic, cultural, occupational, and age factors.

Data aktivitas fisik diperoleh dari kuesioner Physical Activity Questionnaire for Adolescents (PAQ-A) dan status gizi diperoleh berdasarkan pengukuran antropometri.

Abstract

The workload that has been obtained is then used to calculate workforce requirements using the Work Load Indicators Staff Need (WISN) method. Analysis of the workload of distribution workers in the morning shift and afternoon shift respectively amounted to 86.33% and 73,2% which is in the heavy category because it exceeds 80%. To achieve a balanced need for distribution personnel, it is necessary 10 distribution personnel.

Abstract

Anemia is one of the health problems that is in the spotlight, especially in pregnant women. The incidence of anemia in Indonesia in 2018 reached 48,9%. Anemia in pregnant women can cause miscarriage, low birth weight, prematurity, and even death of mother and baby. One of the factors that can affect pregnancy anemia is adherence to taking iron tablets. The compliance of pregnant women in consuming iron tablets can be influenced by knowledge about anemia, because knowledge will affect the mother’s understanding of the benefits of iron tablets in pregnant women. The study aimed to determine the correlation between knowledge about anemia with compliance consuming iron tablets (Fe) in pregnant women at the Tambora District Health Center. The research was an analytic observasional study with a cross-sectional research design. The sample in this research was 96 third trimester pregnant women selected by consecutive sampling method. Data collection used a knowledge and compliance questionnaire with 25 and 10 question items respectively. Data were analysed using Fisher’s Exact Test. The result also looked at the characteristics of the respondents which showed that most of the respondents, including the age not at risk were 78,1%, the last education of the respondents belonged to the advanced education group of 69,8%, and more than one third of the respondents were not working (78,1%). Good and poor knowledge of pregnant women about anemia has the same percentage, namely 50%. Obedience of pregnant women in consuming iron tablets showed more compliance, namely 79,2%. The result of the analysis with Fisher’s Exact Test showed a significant correlation between knowledge about anemia and adherence to consuming iron tablets with p-value = 0,001. The conclusion obtained is that knowledge of anemia can significantly affect pregnant women’s adherence to taking iron tablets.

Physicalactivity data were obtainedusingthe International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). Data analysis using chi-square. Results: A total of 91.7% of the sample experienced primary dysmenorrhea. Samples with a Fe intake of less than 65.1%. Samples with mild physical activity were 35.9%. Statistical analysis results between Fe intake and the occurrence of primary dysmenorrhea showed a valueof p-value=0.003 and between physical activity and the occurrence of primary dysmenorrhea showed a valueof p-value=0.003. Conclusion: There is a relationship between Fe intake and physical activity with the occurrence of primary dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

The first five years of children’s life are a very important period of growth and development because it will determine the success of children’s growth and development in the future. One of the nutritional problems occurs in children under five is stunting. We aimed to determine the mechanism of the inadequacy of protein, magnesium and phosphorus intake to stunting in children under five. This study involved 35 stunted children and 35 nonstunted children aged 12 to 60 months. The subjects were selected by simple random sampling technique. The data of protein, magnesium and phosphorus intake was obtained through 24-hour dietary recall in four times on nonconsecutive days. Most stunted and non-stunted children under five have a higher intake of protein, magnesium and phosphorus than the Recommended Daily Allowance. Average intake of protein, magnesium and phosphorus in non-stunted children are, respectively, 78.69 points, 124.57 points, and 117.04 points, which are higher than stunted children under five. There are differences in the adequacy of protein, magnesium and phosphorus intake in the stunted and non-stunted groups (p = 0.007, p = 0.011, and p = 0.003).
