Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pelatihan “Me and My Future” dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang perencanaan karir peserta didik pada lima orang Guru BK SMKN “X”. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pengetahuan tentang perencanaan karir, wawancara dan analisis dokumen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah The one Group Pretest-postest Design. Analisis menggunakan two related sample test dengan uji Wilcoxon dan analisis kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pelatihan “Me and My Future” dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang perencanaan karir peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pelatihan “Me and My Future” terhadap pengetahuan guru tentang perencanaan karir peserta didik (p< 0,05). Adapun bentuk pengaruhnya adalah positif, yang artinya ketika guru BK mendapatkan pelatihan “Me and My Future” maka guru BK akan mendapatkan perubahan yang positif terkait pengetahuannya tentang perencanaan karir peserta didik.

Abstract

Abstract. There are various obstacles occurring during the online learning process, one of which is in mathematics. To cope with these obstacles, self-regulated online learning (SROL) skills and good social support are deemed necessary. This study aimed to determine a relationship between social support and students' SROL in mathematics as seen from the social support sources in MIPA class students in SMA N “X” Kendal. The measuring instrument used in this study was the SROL scale from Arbiyah and Triatmoko (2016) with 24 items and the SSQC Gordon scale (2011) with 50 items. Total participants of this study are 220 MIPA class students in SMA N “X” Kendal from X to XII grade. Data analysis in this study used regression analysis. The results of data analysis showed the value of F = 8.416 with p value = < 0.001. These results indicated that social support could simultaneously predict the SROL of students in SMAN "X" Kendal in mathematics during the COVID-19 pandemic with an effective contribution of social support by 16.4% to SROL. Abstrak. Salah satu mata pelajaran yang paling menantang untuk dipelajari selama pembelajaran daring adalah matematika. Untuk mengatasi hambatan itu dibutuhkan kemampuan self-regulated online learning (SROL) dan dukungan sosial yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan dukungan sosial dengan SROL siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika dilihat dari sumber-sumber dukungan sosialnya di kelas MIPA SMA N “X” Kendal. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur berupa skala SROL dari Arbiyah dan Triatmoko (2016) yang berjumlah 24 aitem dan skala SSQC Gordon (2011) yang berjumlah 50 aitem. Partisipan penelitian ini berjumlah 220 siswa kelas X sampai XII MIPA SMA N “X” Kendal. Hasil analisis regresi data diperoleh nilai F= 8,416 dengan nilai p= < 0,001. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial secara bersama-sama dapat memprediksi SROL siswa SMA N “X” Kendal pada mata pelajaran matematika di masa pandemi COVID-19 dengan sumbangan efektif dukungan sosial sebesar 16,4% terhadap SROL.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-instruction training interventions in increasing the level of student academic buoyancy. Students need to have a high level of academic buoyancy in order to be able to overcome daily academic challenges and overcome the decline in academic self-regulation (Martin & Marsh, 2009). Students who have a low or moderate degree of academic buoyancy will have obstacles in overcoming daily academic challenges and academic setbacks. This condition causes low academic achievement that students have. In order to overcome this problem, this research examines whether self-instruction training interventions with CBT can help students increase their degree of academic buoyancy. This self-instruction technique is a behavior modification technique that has two uses, namely improving maladaptive mindsets, becoming positive mindsets, which are then used to direct individuals by giving positive instructions to themselves to make behavior changes to become more adaptive (Meichenbaum, in Martin & Pear 2015). This study uses a single subject design with AB research pattern. The participant of this study was a male student at the Faculty of Medicine, with a moderate degree of academic buoyancy. The results of the study show that the self-instruction training technique can increase the degree of academic buoyancy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap academic distress pada 144 orang mahasiswa Magister Psikologi Profesi dengan academic hardiness sebagai mediator. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan mediasi sederhana dengan satu variabel mediator. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga instrumen yang telah dimodifikasi dan diadaptasi dari: (a) instrumen Kessler-10, Skala distress akademik (Chua, Ng, Park, 2018), dan GHQ (12) dari Goldberg dan Williams (1988) untuk mengukur academic distress. (b) instrumen RAHS dari Benishek, Feldman, Shipon, Mecham, dan Lopez (2005) untuk mengukur academic hardiness, dan (c) instrumen MSPSS dari Zimet, Dahlem, Zimet, dan Farley (1988) untuk mengukur dukungan sosial. Analisis data menggunakan bootstrapping dengan bantuan program SPSS (Process 2.16) menunjukkan bahwa (a) terdapat korelasi negatif antara dukungan sosial dan academic distress (r=0.3, p<0.05), (b) tidak terdapat korelasi antara dukungan sosial dan academic hardiness (r=0.1, p< 0.05), (c) tidak terdapat korelasi antara academic hardiness dan academic distress (r= -0.09, p>0.05), (d) tidak terjadi efek mediasi pada pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap academic distress melalui academic hardiness.

Abstract

Research shows that students with academic grit have better achievement, learning regulation, and resilience abilities than students without academic grit. Even so, research results show that it is still rare to find academic grit in a person. Academic hope is a positive psychological variable that has many benefits to positive educational variables and has been proven to be able to predict academic grit. This study tries to look back at the ability of academic hope to academic grit in middle school students. The participants used in this study were 194 students of SMK-SMAK Makassar. There were two instruments distributed to SMK-SMAK Makassar students, namely the academic hope scale and the academic grit scale which were distributed to research respondents. Tests on the data collected show that academic expectations can provide significant academic grit and make a large effective contribution. There are two aspects of academic expectations, namely pathway and agency. Path analysis as an additional analysis to see the predictive ability of each aspect of academic expectations shows that the path makes a large effective contribution, while the agency makes a small effective contribution. These results show the balance of academic expectations of one's academic grit.

Abstract

The widespread and rapid spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has made the offline learning to be changed to online learning from home. It subsequently has brought on impact on the subjective well-being of students. This study was aims to examine to what extent the role of self-efficacy in online learning and academic adjustment can predict the level of subjective well-being of students at Islamic University of Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic. A number of previous studies have shown that students with good self-efficacy and academic adjustment will have good subjective well-being. Research data were collected using the PANAS (Positive Affect and Negative Affect Scale) scale from Watson, Clark, and Tellegen and the SWLS (Satisfaction with Life Scale) scale from Diener to measure the affective components or positive and negative experiences of the respondents; self-efficacy scale in online learning from Zimmerman and Kulikowich; and the academic adjustment scale of Anderson, Guan, and Koc. Data analysis was conducted using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and mediation analysis using JASP 0.16.1 software. The results of the analysis showed that self-efficacy in online learning brought an impact on the students' subjective well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic through the intermediary of academic adjustment (0.055). Individuals with high self-efficacy in online learning will be capable of adjusting to adjust to online academic demands well. It, as a result, has brought an impact on the quality of good subjective well-being. Thus, the research hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan goal setting pada motivasi belajar bahasa Inggris siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 26 siswa kelas XIIA SMK “X” Sleman, yang dibagi menjadi 13 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 13 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala motivasi belajar bahasa Inggris, wawancara dan observasi. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre postcontrol group design. Analisis penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisiskuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dengan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar bahasa inggris siswa setelah diberipelatihan goal setting. Analisis kualitatif dilakukan berdasarkan observasi, wawancara dan lembar kerja. Hasil penelitian yaitu pada pre test dan post test motivasi belajar bahasa Inggris menunjukkan ada peningkatan setelah diberi pelatihan dengan nilai Z= -4.359, P=0.000, P<0,05. Pada pre test dan follow up motivasi belajar bahasa Inggris menunjukkan ada peningkatan setelah dua minggu diberi pelatihan dengan nilai Z= -2.500, P=0.012, P<0,05. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pelatihan goal setting dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar bahasa Inggris siswa kelas XII SMK “X”.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to empirically examine the effect of assertiveness training on the students interpersonal communication skills. The research design was pretes postest control group design. The subject determination into experimental group and control group. Interpersonal communication skills is measured by using scale interpersonal communication skills based on interpersonal communication aspects of DeVito (2011). Data analysis on this research was mixed design anova. The result of this research revealed the existance of interaction between time (pretest and posttest) and group (experimental and control) that was stated by F = 41,786; P = 0,000. The result showed that control group and experimental group was different. In this research, the asertiveness training treatment contribution toward the increasing of interpersonal communication skills is 79,1%. Key words: Asertiveness training, Interpersonal communication skill, Vocational high school.

Abstract

This experiment research aimed to examine the effect of Keajaiban Doa Islamic Training to improve emotional well-being of high school students in SMK “X” Yogyakarta. This research used non-randomized Pre and Posttest Control Group Design. Participants of this research were divided into two group, control and experiment groups. Keajaiban Doa Islamic Training was only gave to 14 respondents from experiment group and have identified as low emotional well-being score. They were asked to complete Simsek’s emotional well-being scale (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,86) before and after experiment. The result showed significancy p=0.00 (p < 0.05) for the comparison level of g score on experiment and control respondents at pre and posttest.  It means that Keajaiban Doa Islamic Training could improved  emotional well-being  of  high  school students in SMK “X” Yogyakarta. Keywords: Emotional Well-Being,  Prayers,  Keajaiban  Doa  Islami, Training

Abstract

The aim of this research is to look at the effect of taubat dan istighfar or repentance and seeking forgiveness therapy on anxiety. The subject of this research is psychology students. The research was carried out in the form of quasi-experimental, using pre-test analysis, post-test analysis, and follow-up. Before the treatment, all of the subjects were given the anxiety scale using the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), in which subject with high and moderate anxiety will be used as research subjects. The data were analyzed using the T-test method to measure the significance and effect size on both variables. The results are r= 0.8 (.00< r <1.00) and p= 0.003 (p<0.05) in which shows that there is a significant effect on anxiety before and after therapy was given, and there variabilities or effects produced by the therapy. Based on this research shows that the repentance and seeking forgiveness therapy effective in lowering the anxiety level for Undergraduate students. Keywords: repentance and seeking for forgiveness therapy,  taubat dan istighfar, anxiety, undergraduate student
