Abstract

The initial idea of the need for campuses to collaborate with schools, communities, and industries was due to such rapid social changes, especially during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. The Social Literacy Laboratory is a form of collaboration between various communities that have responsibility, concern, and attention to the growth and development process of children and adolescents through literacy (social) activities, both through formal and/or non-formal education. The objectives of this activity are: exploring cooperation and collaboration between multi-parties to consistently and planned efforts to improve the quality of education and the development of reliable resources, carry out regular and scheduled workshop activities to create a Community-Based Social Literacy Laboratory pilot. The target audience in this activity is the teachers of De Britto High School (Yogyakarta), with the number of participants being 25 high school teachers. Some of the activities that have been carried out are: formulation of problems to be solved (stage 1), planning activities and selecting topics and materials (stage 2), and brainstorming the concept of the Social Literacy Laboratory, mapping/identifying the needs of the Social Literacy Laboratory, and follow-up plans.

Abstract

Abstrak Program Diseminasi Produk PkM Karya Inovatif Guru di SMA Negeri 1 Bantul bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh para guru yakni kurangnya produktivitas di sekolah yang hanya terbiasa untuk mengajar tanpa melakukan aktivitas lainnya, salah satunya seperti menulis buku bahan ajar. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan kompetensi menulis di kalangan guru melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan penulisan buku. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan oleh dosen program studi pendidikan sosiologi,  Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) dan diikuti 20 guru dari SMA Negeri 1 Bantul. Metode yang digunakan meliputi edukasi, pelatihan, diskusi, dan demonstrasi dengan pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Hasil program menunjukkan bahwa 3 orang guru berhasil menyelesaikan buku, meskipun terdapat kendala seperti padatnya jadwal bekerja baik itu mengajar maupun membimbing siswa di sekolah dan kesulitan dalam menyusun sistematika bahan ajar. Program ini berhasil memotivasi guru untuk lebih produktif dan meningkatkan profesionalisme mereka. Evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa program ini memberikan dampak positif bagi guru, institusi, dan masyarakat luas.Kata kunci: Diseminasi, Inovasi Guru, Kompetensi Menulis, PkM (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat).

Abstract

Pengembangan soft skills menjadi kebutuhan penting bagi mahasiswa dalam menghadapi dunia kerja, salah satunya melalui partisipasi dalam organisasi kemahasiswaan yang memiliki budaya organisasi khas. Studi ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis budaya organisasi UKMF JM Al-Ishlah FISHIPOL UNY serta peran sosiologisnya. Menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi Al-Ishlah mencakup nilai keislaman, kekeluargaan, kerja sama, toleransi, syiar, dan pembinaan. Nilai-nilai ini mencerminkan Clan Culture dalam kerangka Competing Values Framework (CVF) Cameron dan Quinn. Meskipun berbeda dari birokrasi Weberian yang kaku, organisasi tetap menunjukkan unsur birokratik seperti struktur formal dan pengawasan terencana. Budaya organisasi berperan sebagai identitas kolektif, pedoman perilaku, penguat kohesi internal, serta sarana peningkatan kapasitas dan penyelesaian masalah. The development of soft skills is essential for university students to prepare for the workforce, one of which can be achieved through participation in student organizations with distinctive organizational cultures. This study aims to describe and analyze the organizational culture of UKMF JM Al-Ishlah FISHIPOL UNY and its sociological roles. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model. The findings reveal that Al-Ishlah’s organizational culture includes six core values: Islamic orientation, familial relations, cooperation, tolerance, proselytization, and mentoring. These values reflect the Clan Culture model within the Competing Values Framework (CVF) by Cameron and Quinn. Although differing from Weber’s rigid bureaucracy, the organization still exhibits bureaucratic elements such as formal structures and planned supervision. The organizational culture functions as a marker of collective identity, behavioral guide, internal cohesion, and a means for capacity development and problem-solving.

Abstract

Partnerships between corporations and local communities play a crucial role in promoting inclusive and sustainable development, especially in areas directly affected by industrial activities. However, the implementation of such partnerships often fails to reflect the principles of equality, transparency, and active community participation. This study is part of a community service initiative aimed at analyzing the partnership model between PT Alam Sinar and the local community in Gampingan Village, Pagak Subdistrict, Malang Regency. It also evaluates the benefits, supporting factors, and challenges of the partnership by comparing conditions before and after the program was implemented. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected purposively, including the village head, CSR representatives from the company, and community beneficiaries. The community service team acted as facilitators during the assessment process, participatory discussions, and reflection sessions involving both residents and the company. Findings indicate that the partnership is implemented through corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs focused on skills training, job creation, waste management, and the development of basic infrastructure. The benefits observed cover economic, social, and environmental aspects. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, such as limited community involvement in decision-making, suboptimal communication, and a lack of support from the district government. This study recommends strengthening community capacity, optimizing the role of village authorities, and developing a more inclusive, adaptive partnership model that responds to the actual needs of the local population.

Abstract

The values of social care and tolerance in the Begawe tradition of the Sasak tribe are beginning to erode and have not been optimally utilized in character education. This study aims to analyze the role of the Begawe tradition in instilling values of social care and tolerance in the younger generation amid the challenges of modernization. This study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a survey method where data are collected through questionnaires completed by respondents and analyzed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that the Begawe tradition makes a significant contribution to building a positive social character, particularly in terms of social care and tolerance, despite various challenges posed by the influence of modernization and social media, which affect the perceptions and participation of the younger generation. These findings underscore the relevance of the Begawe tradition as a powerful character-building medium within the social and cultural context of the Sasak community. This research contributes to academic knowledge by enriching character education studies through a local culture approach, particularly the Begawe tradition of the Sasak ethnic group.

Abstract

Gender education is one of the efforts to promote the welfare of humanity. Many institutions prioritize the empowerment of women as a key solution to overcoming disparities between women and men in various fields. This study aims to analyze the educational thoughts of Ki Hadjar Dewantara through his work, Tembang Macapat Wasita Rini. Content analysis of Tembang Macapat Wasita Rini highlights the importance of education for women in achieving both physical and spiritual independence, self-mastery, and preparing women to make decisions in their lives that benefit their families and communities. This poem also contains moral messages urging women to maintain themselves in accordance with societal norms, thereby avoiding various dangers and being able to empower themselves according to their potential. Ki Hadjar Dewantara demonstrated wisdom in responding to the development of education in his time by supporting the ideal of women’s emancipation, balanced with an emphasis on the importance of upholding norms and values aligned with women’s natural roles within the social and cultural context of that era.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan konsultasi hukum mengenai Undang-Undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (UU ITE) bagi para guru SMA di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat memberikan banyak manfaat, namun juga menimbulkan tantangan, terutama terkait dengan komunikasi elektronik, yang menambah kekhawatiran terkait kejahatan dunia maya dan penyalahgunaan platform digital. Sebagai bagian dari sistem pendidikan, guru memiliki peran penting dalam membimbing siswa dan masyarakat untuk berperilaku digital yang bertanggung jawab. Inisiatif ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman para guru mengenai UU ITE, memastikan mereka memiliki pengetahuan yang memadai mengenai implikasi hukum dalam interaksi digital, termasuk pencemaran nama baik, perundungan daring, dan distribusi konten ilegal. Tujuan utama dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada pendidik agar dapat mencegah pelanggaran hukum di dunia maya dan memberikan mereka alat untuk menghadapi dan menangani isu hukum terkait di lingkungan pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi sosialisasi dan konsultasi, yang dilengkapi dengan sesi interaktif dan studi kasus tentang penerapan UU ITE. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan tanggapan positif dari peserta, dengan peningkatan kesadaran dan pemahaman mengenai ketentuan hukum, serta peningkatan rasa tanggung jawab dalam berinteraksi secara digital. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan hukum yang berkelanjutan sangat penting untuk memberdayakan pendidik agar dapat menjaga standar hukum dan etika dalam era digital.
