Abstract

Partnerships between corporations and local communities play a crucial role in promoting inclusive and sustainable development, especially in areas directly affected by industrial activities. However, the implementation of such partnerships often fails to reflect the principles of equality, transparency, and active community participation. This study is part of a community service initiative aimed at analyzing the partnership model between PT Alam Sinar and the local community in Gampingan Village, Pagak Subdistrict, Malang Regency. It also evaluates the benefits, supporting factors, and challenges of the partnership by comparing conditions before and after the program was implemented. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected purposively, including the village head, CSR representatives from the company, and community beneficiaries. The community service team acted as facilitators during the assessment process, participatory discussions, and reflection sessions involving both residents and the company. Findings indicate that the partnership is implemented through corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs focused on skills training, job creation, waste management, and the development of basic infrastructure. The benefits observed cover economic, social, and environmental aspects. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, such as limited community involvement in decision-making, suboptimal communication, and a lack of support from the district government. This study recommends strengthening community capacity, optimizing the role of village authorities, and developing a more inclusive, adaptive partnership model that responds to the actual needs of the local population.

Abstract

The values of social care and tolerance in the Begawe tradition of the Sasak tribe are beginning to erode and have not been optimally utilized in character education. This study aims to analyze the role of the Begawe tradition in instilling values of social care and tolerance in the younger generation amid the challenges of modernization. This study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a survey method where data are collected through questionnaires completed by respondents and analyzed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that the Begawe tradition makes a significant contribution to building a positive social character, particularly in terms of social care and tolerance, despite various challenges posed by the influence of modernization and social media, which affect the perceptions and participation of the younger generation. These findings underscore the relevance of the Begawe tradition as a powerful character-building medium within the social and cultural context of the Sasak community. This research contributes to academic knowledge by enriching character education studies through a local culture approach, particularly the Begawe tradition of the Sasak ethnic group.

Abstract

Gender education is one of the efforts to promote the welfare of humanity. Many institutions prioritize the empowerment of women as a key solution to overcoming disparities between women and men in various fields. This study aims to analyze the educational thoughts of Ki Hadjar Dewantara through his work, Tembang Macapat Wasita Rini. Content analysis of Tembang Macapat Wasita Rini highlights the importance of education for women in achieving both physical and spiritual independence, self-mastery, and preparing women to make decisions in their lives that benefit their families and communities. This poem also contains moral messages urging women to maintain themselves in accordance with societal norms, thereby avoiding various dangers and being able to empower themselves according to their potential. Ki Hadjar Dewantara demonstrated wisdom in responding to the development of education in his time by supporting the ideal of women’s emancipation, balanced with an emphasis on the importance of upholding norms and values aligned with women’s natural roles within the social and cultural context of that era.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan konsultasi hukum mengenai Undang-Undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (UU ITE) bagi para guru SMA di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat memberikan banyak manfaat, namun juga menimbulkan tantangan, terutama terkait dengan komunikasi elektronik, yang menambah kekhawatiran terkait kejahatan dunia maya dan penyalahgunaan platform digital. Sebagai bagian dari sistem pendidikan, guru memiliki peran penting dalam membimbing siswa dan masyarakat untuk berperilaku digital yang bertanggung jawab. Inisiatif ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman para guru mengenai UU ITE, memastikan mereka memiliki pengetahuan yang memadai mengenai implikasi hukum dalam interaksi digital, termasuk pencemaran nama baik, perundungan daring, dan distribusi konten ilegal. Tujuan utama dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada pendidik agar dapat mencegah pelanggaran hukum di dunia maya dan memberikan mereka alat untuk menghadapi dan menangani isu hukum terkait di lingkungan pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi sosialisasi dan konsultasi, yang dilengkapi dengan sesi interaktif dan studi kasus tentang penerapan UU ITE. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan tanggapan positif dari peserta, dengan peningkatan kesadaran dan pemahaman mengenai ketentuan hukum, serta peningkatan rasa tanggung jawab dalam berinteraksi secara digital. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan hukum yang berkelanjutan sangat penting untuk memberdayakan pendidik agar dapat menjaga standar hukum dan etika dalam era digital.

Abstract

Kegiatan PkM ini ditujukan untuk: (i) memfasilitasi guru menyusun modul projek berbasis literasi sosial untuk mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka, (ii) mendiseminasikan hasil riset ke khalayak sasaran agar dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam peningkatan kualitas proses dan hasil pembelajaran di persekolahan, dan (iii) mendukung pencapaian beberapa IKU (Indikator Kinerja Utama) Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, yaitu: IKU 2 (Mahasiswa mendapat pengalaman di luar kampus, IKU 3 (Dosen berkegiatan di luar kampus), IKU 5 (Hasil kerja dosen digunakan oleh masyarakat). Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 40 orang, yang terdiri dari perwakilan Guru SMA Kolese Debritto, SMA N 1 Bantul, dan MGMP Sosiologi SMA DIY. Hasil kegiatan PkM ini berupa: (i) pemberian ceramah tentang literasi sosial dan modul projek (P5), (ii) pemberian ceramah tentang kebijakan sekolah yang pro-literasi, profil aktivitas literasi guru dan siswa di SMA Kolese De Britto Yogyakarta, (iii) pemberian contoh/template modul projek berbasis literasi sosial, (iv) pemberian ceramah dan demonstrasi penyusunan modul projek berbasis literasi sosial, dan (v) praktik terbimbing dan praktik mandiri penyusunan modul projek (P5) berbasis literasi sosial. Selain itu, hasil kegiatan lainnya berupa tersusunnya draft 2 (dua) modul projek (P5) berbasis literasi sosial yang disusun oleh sekolah mitra, yaitu modul projek (P5) dengan tema Kewirausahaan dan Gaya Hidup Berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Urban women have a higher education background who understand informationknowledge about smoking and financial independence as they work in the public sector.They have a smoking behavior both in private and public spaces so as to be known to thepublic. It is very interesting that smoking behavior is used as a symbol of communicationmade by fellow smokers, a symbol of social interaction in their group.This study aimsto be able to know that smoking as a symbol of interaction have meaning for urbanwoman smokers. This research is qualitative descriptive research because it will be ableto produce data information in holistic and depth. According to the purpose of researchused purposive sampling and snowball sampling techniques with data collectiontechniques using observation and interview. Data analysis using interactive modelanalysis technique.The results of this study showed that smoking is a symbol for themto communicate that occurs in social interaction. Symbols have a meaning that is asNeeds and Habits, Togetherness, Release Fatigue and Respect Smokers. They also havea habit in smoking that is done together with fellow smokers are drinking coffee, thereare also drinking liquor and gamble. That is gambling soccer. The activity is done whengathering with fellow smokers. The gathering is usually done at night after they work.AbstrakPerempuan urban memiliki latar belakang pendidikan tinggi yang memahamipengetahuan informasi tentang merokok dan kemandirian secara finansial dikarenakanmereka bekerja di sektor publik. Mereka memiliki perilaku merokok baik di ruang pribadimaupun umum sehingga dapat diketahui oleh masyarakat. Hal tersebut sangat menarikternyata perilaku merokok digunakan sebagai simbol komunikasi yang dilakukan sesamaperokok, simbol interaksi sosial dalam kelompok mereka.Penelitian ini bertujuan untukdapat mengetahui bahwa merokok sebagai simbol interaksi memiliki makna bagi perokokperempuan urban. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif karena akan dapatmenghasilkan informasi data secara holistik dan mendalam. Sesuai tujuan penelitian digunakanteknik cuplikan purposive sampling dan snowball samplingdengan teknik pengumpulan datamenggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data dengan menggunakan teknik analisamodel interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwamerokok adalah sebuah simbol bagimereka melakukan komunikasi yang terjadi dalam interaksi sosialnya. Simbol tersebutmemiliki makna yaitu sebagai kebutuhan dan kebiasaan, kebersamaan, melepaskankepenatan dan menghargai sesama perokok. Mereka juga memiliki kebiasaan dalammerokok yang dilakukan bersama-sama teman sesama perokok yaitu minum kopi, adayang minum minuman keras juga ada yang berjudi yaitu judi bola. Kegiatan tersebutdilakukan saat berkumpul dengan sesama perokok dan biasanya dilakukan pada malamhari selepas mereka bekerja.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relevance of Ki Hajar Dewantara’s concept of kodrat alam (the law of nature) with the social media phenomenon #KaburAjaDulu, which has recently gained popularity among Indonesia’s Generation Z. The research employed a qualitative content analysis using a critical discourse analysis approach, drawing data from 50 online news articles discussing the hashtag.The finding sreveal that #KaburAjaDulu originated from the disappointment and protest of young people toward government policies perceived as unfavorable to the public particularly those involving budget cuts in education and health sectors to fund new programs with uncertain outcomes. This phenomenon reflects a social reality in which many young Indonesians choose to work or pursue education abroad, believing such opportunities to be more promising and adequate. Based on Ki Hajar Dewantara’s concept of kodrat alam, this condition indicates a mismatch between individuals’ potential and their social environment, which should ideally serve as a space for self-development. Therefore, the government needs to promote programs that foster self-recognition and personal potential among students to enhance their competitiveness and contribution within the country. Through such efforts, individuals can discover their talents and meaningful career paths in Indonesia, without feeling the need to “escape” abroad.

Abstract

Indonesia's vocational education system faces ongoing challenges in facilitating the school-to-work transition. Despite various reform efforts, the high unemployment rate among vocational high school (SMK) graduates indicates a mismatch between educational outcomes and labor market needs. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 60 primary source articles from Google Scholar to identify key themes affecting vocational education performance: school-to-work transition gaps, policy and implementation issues, curriculum and pedagogical transformation, institutional barriers, and limited integration of local wisdom and character education. These findings are analyzed through the philosophical lens of Moh. Sjafei, a pioneering Indonesian educator who emphasizes holistic, community-based, and practice-oriented learning. The results demonstrate that Sjafei's "head, heart, hand" framework offers a culturally grounded alternative to address structural inefficiencies and human development gaps in current vocational education. The study concludes with a series of policy recommendations aligned with Sjafei's educational ideals, which advocate for reforms that balance technical skills with character building and contextual relevance. This integrated approach provides a meaningful pathway to revitalize vocational education and improve the employability of young people in Indonesia. Abstrak Bahasa Indonesia Sistem pendidikan vokasi di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan berkelanjutan dalam memfasilitasi transisi sekolah ke dunia kerja. Meskipun telah dilakukan berbagai upaya reformasi, tingginya angka pengangguran lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) menunjukkan adanya ketidaksesuaian antara hasil pendidikan dan kebutuhan pasar tenaga kerja. Studi ini menggunakan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap 60 artikel sumber utama dari Google Scholar untuk mengidentifikasi tema-tema utama yang memengaruhi kinerja pendidikan vokasi: kesenjangan transisi dari sekolah ke dunia kerja, isu kebijakan dan implementasi, transformasi kurikulum dan pedagogi, hambatan kelembagaan, serta terbatasnya integrasi kearifan lokal dan pendidikan karakter. Temuan-temuan ini dianalisis melalui sudut pandang filosofi Moh. Sjafei, seorang pendidik perintis Indonesia yang menekankan pembelajaran holistik, berbasis komunitas, dan berorientasi praksis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerangka kerja “otak, hati, tangan” Sjafei menawarkan alternatif yang berlandaskan budaya untuk mengatasi inefisiensi struktural dan kesenjangan pembangunan manusia dalam pendidikan vokasi saat ini. Studi ini diakhiri dengan serangkaian rekomendasi kebijakan yang selaras dengan cita-cita pendidikan Sjafei, yang mengadvokasi reformasi yang menyeimbangkan keterampilan teknis dengan pembentukan karakter dan relevansi kontekstual. Pendekatan terpadu ini menyediakan jalur yang berarti untuk merevitalisasi pendidikan kejuruan dan meningkatkan kemampuan kerja kaum muda di Indonesia.

Abstract

Mata pelajaran Sosiologi telah diajarkan di jenjang SMA sejak diberlakukannya Kurikulum 1984 hingga Kurikulum Merdeka saat ini. Meskipun demikian, guru Sosiologi masih menghadapi berbagai hambatan, salah satunya dalam perancangan modul ajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji kesesuaian modul ajar Sosiologi berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka dengan pencapaian kompetensi pembelajaran di SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan analisis dokumen terhadap 23 modul ajar karya mahasiswa PPG Prajabatan pada Fase E dan F. Dokumen di analisis dengan bantuan software atlas-ti dan diinterpretasikan menggunakan teori konstruktivisme. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa level kognitif HOTS memiliki proporsi lebih tinggi (52,6%) dibandingkan LOTS (47,4%). Pada LOTS, tingkat yang paling dominan adalah C2 memahami (46,06%), sedangkan pada HOTS, tingkat tertinggi adalah C6 menciptakan (36,06%). Keberagaman kata kerja operasional yang digunakan merefleksikan tuntutan pembelajaran abad ke-21, di mana peserta didik tidak hanya mengingat, memahami, dan menerapkan, tetapi juga menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan menciptakan solusi atas permasalahan berbasis situasi nyata. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa modul ajar yang disusun telah berorientasi pada pengembangan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dan selaras dengan capaian kompetensi pembelajaran. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam merancang modul ajar yang mendukung HOTS sebagai tuntutan pembelajaran abad ke-21.
