Abstract

Salah satu modal menjadi guru yang profesional adalah menguasai keterampilan dasar mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat penguasan keterampilan dasar mengajar mahasiswa pendidikan matematika Universitas pasir pengaraian pada praktek micro teaching. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan ex post facto yaitu mengungkapkan fakta yang terjadi tanpa ada manipulasi variabel atau menciptakan kondisi tertentu. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika yang mengambil mata kuliah micro teaching pada tahun akademik 2015/2016 sebanyak 23 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode dokumentasi dan observasi. Instrument penelitian adalah angket yang telah divalidasi oleh pakar yaitu dosen pengampu micro teaching. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif untuk menggambarkan tingkat penguasaan keterampilan dasar mengajar mahasiswa berdasarkan tabel kecenderungan dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Melalui Penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan membimbing diskusi berada pada kategori sangat terampil. Keterampilan menjelaskan, keterampilan bertanya, keterampilan memberi penguatan dan keterampilan membuat variasi dalam pembelajaran berada pada kategori terampil. Keterampilan mengelola kelas berada pada kategori cukup terampil sedangkan keterampilan membuka dan menutup pembelajaran termasuk ke dalam kriteria tidak terampil. Kata Kunci: keterampilan dasar mengajar, micro teaching, ex post facto One of basic skills to be a professional teacher is how to be a master in basic teaching skill. This research aimed to have valid information about basic teaching skill of Educational Mathematics Study Program at University of Pasir Pengaraian by practicing it in micro teaching subject. This is description quantitative research by using ex post facto method that revelaled the fact in the field without any manipulation of variable or making a good condition. The subject of this research is the student of Educational Mathematics Study Program who took a micro teaching subject in academic years 2015/2016 those were 23 sudents. The data were collected by documentation and observation. The instrument of research is questionnaire which was validated by expert of micro teachings. The data were analized by description technique that can describe level basic of teaching skill of the students that can be seen in willingness table that has been decided. The result of this research concluced that guiding discussion skill was at exellence category, the explaning skill, question skill, reinforcement skill and make the variation stimulus skill were all in good ability category. Classroom management skill was categorized low ability. The opening and closing class skills were catgeorized poor ability. Keywords: basic teaching skill, micro teaching

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking is the ability to think that aims to create or find new, different, unusual, and original ideas that bring definite and precise results. This study aims to determine the mathematical creative thinking skills of students of SMAN 1 Bangun Purba class XI IPA 1. This research was conducted on 23 students in class XI IPA 1 using descriptive qualitative methods. The instrument used was a mathematical creative thinking ability test which consisted of 4 items on students’ mathematical creative thinking abilities on the probability material accompanied by interviews with students. Indicators of mathematical creative thinking abilities used are fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. This study concludes that the mathematical creative thinking ability of students of SMAN 1 Bangun Purba class XI IPA 1 has an average of 72.3 in the high category. At the same time, the presentation for fluency indicators is 74%, flexibility indicators 72%, originality indicators 66%, and indicators. Elaboration 77%. The highest percentage of creative thinking ability characteristics is elaboration, and the lowest is originality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an improvement in the mathematical connection abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP N 7 Tambusai through the Brain-Based Learning model. This quasi-experimental research uses a randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The population includes all eighth-grade students at SMP N 7 Tambusai. Samples were taken using simple random sampling, resulting in two classes as samples: class VIII A as the experimental group and class VIII B as the control group. The research instrument was a test of mathematical connection abilities. Data from the test results were analyzed to test the hypothesis. Before hypothesis testing, a prerequisite normality test using the Liliefors test was conducted, which showed that the data were not normally distributed. Subsequently, hypothesis testing was carried out using the Mann Whitney test. The results indicated that Zcount > Ztable​, specifically 3.40 > 1.96 for α = 0.05, leading to the rejection of H0. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an improvement in the mathematical connection abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP N 7 Tambusai through the Brain-Based Learning model in the 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the application of problem-based learning models on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities based on the research results. The method used is a meta-analysis by analyzing the research results in articles published nationally relating to applying problem-based learning models to increase students' problem-solving skills at the high school level. The samples analyzed were thirteen articles from nationally published journals published in the 2015-2020 range at the junior and senior high school levels, which discussed increasing students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The instrument is a coding sheet or coding data that filters data and journal information. Based on the overall effect size analysis results, it is obtained that the average effect size value is in a large category. The findings from the analysis also prove that the problem-based learning model for mathematical problem-solving abilities is influential and effective in terms of educational level, subject matter and learning media used. The result shows that in this study, the problem-based learning model is more effectively used in improving mathematical problem-solving skills than conventional learning models.

Several previous studies have tried to develop mathematics learning applications, but they are still limited as a learning medium. Developing a digital-based mathematics learning application that facilitates learning from start to finish is necessary. This study aims to develop a viable and effective mobile application. The Development Process uses the CAI design model, which includes needs assessment, design, and development & implementation. Formative evaluations were obtained from expert reviews and students. The experts involved are experts in content, learning media, and multimedia. The formative evaluation stage by students includes one-to-one trials, small groups, and field trials. Research data was collected through questionnaires and test questions. This study involved 1 teacher and 52 high school students in Indonesia. The average score of expert reviews is 3.6, which is in the category of very good. The average score obtained from Formative Evaluation by students is 3.5, with an excellent category. The pretest and post-test scores showed an increase of 40% in students who achieved the completeness of learning outcomes. The average score of N-gain is 0.4 in the medium category. The Ajarin Mobile Application is feasible and effective in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research is expected to be an alternative digital learning resource that makes it easier for teachers to facilitate mathematics learning in schools.

Abstract

LKPD as a learning resource plays an important role for students in learning activities to be actively involved in understanding concepts. The problem is that teachers have not been motivated to make their own LKPD according to the characteristics and abilities of students. This is because teachers do not understand the importance of using LKPD which are prepared by themselves in learning and the mechanics and technicalities of compiling LKPD correctly and well. The teacher only uses textbooks and LKPD which contains a summary of the material, sample questions and practice questions without any process of finding concepts. Students receive information from LKPD without being able to explore their ability to obtain information/concept discovery independently. In connection with these problems, training and assistance in the preparation of LKPD was carried out at SMPN 3 Rambah Hilir. The teacher participated in this activity enthusiastically. This can be seen from the positive response given by dmana there were 15.4% gave a very good response and 76.9% gave a good response. The material and assistance provided in the training helped teachers make a better LKPD, namely 15.4% stated that it was very good, 69.2% stated that it was good and 15.4% stated that it was quite good. Teachers became motivated to make their own LKPD, namely there were 15.4% very good, 76.9% good and 7.7% enough.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan kemandirian belajar siswa melalui pemanfaatan media pembelajaran digital di SMP An Nawawi Al Bantani, Tangerang Selatan. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah masih rendahnya motivasi dan kemandirian belajar siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi. Kegiatan ini dirancang untuk memberikan wawasan dan keterampilan praktis bagi guru dan siswa dalam menggunakan media digital yang inovatif dan interaktif dengan jumlah peserta 22 orang siswa, dengan waktu pelaksanaan mulai dai September hingga oktober. Metode pelaksanaan PKM dilaksanakan melalui empat tahap, yaitu: (1) Tahap persiapan, yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan sekolah, penyusunan perangkat pelatihan, serta koordinasi dengan pihak sekolah; (2) Tahap pelaksanaan pelatihan, berupa sosialisasi dan workshop mengenai penggunaan media pembelajaran digital seperti Canva, Wordwall, Liveworksheet, dan aplikasi interaktif lainnya; (3) Tahap pendampingan, di mana tim PKM mendampingi guru dan siswa dalam praktik langsung pembuatan serta penerapan media digital dalam kegiatan belajar-mengajar; dan (4) Tahap evaluasi, yang dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, serta penyebaran angket kepada guru dan siswa untuk mengukur perubahan motivasi serta tingkat kemandirian belajar. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari 85% siswa merasa pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan termotivasi untuk belajar mandiri setelah menggunakan media digital. Guru juga melaporkan peningkatan partisipasi aktif siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, kemampuan guru dalam merancang dan mengintegrasikan media digital ke dalam RPP meningkat secara signifikan. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan PKM ini berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, mendorong terciptanya lingkungan belajar yang kreatif, inovatif, dan sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi pendidikan.
