Abstract

Abstract The objective of the research was to determine theoil palm variety with saline resistance and identify the effective humic acid application dosage with a different salinity rate. This research was conducted in Percut Village.The method used was Randomized Block Design Factorial with 3 factors applied in to 6 varieties oil palm, humic acid dosage (3 dosages) and salinity rate (3 rate) with 3 replications. The results of this research showed that the salinity rate affected significantly to oil palm morphology in saline soil with humic acid adduction. Abstract

Oil palm initially produced Crude Palm Oil and Palm Kernel Oil as the main products of fresh fruit bunches, besides that currently the Indonesian palm oil industry utilizes the rest of the processing of fresh fruit bunches is waste as a soil enhancer. This study aims to determine the comparison of the total soil microbes, soil respiration, and the correlation between the two on the application. The research design used was a factorial randomized block design consisting of 2 factors. Factor I is the LCPKS application and factor II is the depth of soil sampling in the oil palm area. Parameters observed were total microbial and soil respiration. The results of observations are arranged in a variance table, if they are significantly different at the 5% level, then it is continued with the DMRT. The relationship between total microbes and soil respiration was analyzed by linear regression. The results showed that the total microbes were significantly different in the application land and without the POME application, the total microbes in the POME application area were higher than in the land without the application. but in the treatment of differences in soil depth there was no significant difference. The total microbial is positively correlated with soil respiration, the greater the total microbial, the higher the soil respiration.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan biogas sederhana dapat menjadi salah satu solusi untuk meminimalisasi limbah dari hasil aktivitas rumah tangga. Bahan hijauan yang dihasilkan dari sisa aktivitas rumah tangga yang sering disebut sebagai sampah seperti sampah sayuran, sampah hijauan serta samapah yang telah menjadi bahan organik lainnya.  Penggunaan biogas dari bahan sisa aktivitas rumah tangga juga dapat mewujudkan dan mendorong tercipatanya lingkungan yang sehat. Pembuatan biogas secara sederhana dilaksanakan di Desa Hessa Perlompongan, Kecamatan Air Batu, Kabupaten Asahan, Sumatera Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini terdiri dari metode ceramah dan demonstrasi. Biogas sederhana ini dapat memberikan inspirasi untuk memanfaatkan limbah sebagai produk yang bernilai dan ramah lingkungan Kata Kunci : Bio Gas; Limbah Sayuran

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan produsen minyak kelapa sawit terbesar didunia serta industrinya telah menjadi andalan. Ampas teh memiliki kandungan senyawa-senyawa bermanfaat seperti polifenol, tehofilin, flavonoid, tanin, vitamin C dan vitamin E serta sejumlah mineral Zn, Se, Mo, Ge, dan Mg. Kandungan ampas teh yang berupa mineral tersebut merupakan unsur-unsur esensial yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh tanaman. Limbah ampas teh mengandung serat kasar, selulosa dan lignin, berbagai macam mineral seperti karbon organik, Tembaga (Cu) 20%, Magnesium (Mg) 10%, dan Kalsium (Ca) 13%. Kandungan tersebut dapat membantu pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ampas teh terhdap pertumbuhan tanaman kelapa sawit (Elaesgiuneensis jacq) di main nursery. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan ITSI Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok Non Faktorial (RAK Non Faktorial) terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dengan 6 ulangan sehingga total sampel keseluruhan 24 bibit. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi bibit, diamter batang, jumlah daun, berat basah akar, berat kering akar, analisa tanah awal dan analisa tanah akhir. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistik dengan uji DMRT (Duncan’s Multiple Range Test) dan analysis of variance (ANOVA) dengan uji beda nyata 5% dan 1%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian aplikasi ampas teh berpengaruh nyata pada pertumbuhan tanaman tinggi tanaman dengan nilai rataan tertinggi di minggu 24 MST, sedangkan pada diameter batang, jumlah daun, berat basah akar dan berat kering akar menunjukkan hasil tidak nyata terhadap bibit kelapa sawit.

Abstract

This Community Service Program was conducted to introduce and implement hydroponic technology that utilizes waste from Nile tilapia farming as a source of organic fertilizer. This activity was located in Dolok Sagala Village, Dolok Masihul District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The method used in this PKM included training and direct mentoring of the community in creating and managing a hydroponic system for cultivating Brassica Rapa plants. This activity showed that the hydroponic system using fish waste as organic fertilizer produced high-quality Brassica Rapa plants. Additionally, this program provided the community with new knowledge about the benefits and potential of hydroponic technology as a modern agricultural solution in limited land areas. The success of this program is expected to be adopted more widely by the community to enhance local food security and economic welfare.

Abstract

Oil palm is an essential commodity in Indonesia with excellent development potential, but the long waiting time required to produce oil palm plantations is a problem. Combining with multi-purpose tree species (MPTS) plants can solve this problem. Maximizing resources efficiently and environmentally friendly, the concept of plant intercropping entrepreneurship can be used with Edamame. The intercropping of edamame plants on oil palm plants must be carried out optimally to produce good-quality fruit. So, this study was conducted on the growth response of intercropping edamame plants on oil palm plantations with the provision of biosaka. This study aimed to determine the effect of biosaka and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of edamame plants. Based on the research that has been done, Biosaka has the potential to increase the productivity of edamame plants. The best dose for edamame plant production is in the P3B1 treatment (NPK 30gr/polybag + 20 ml/L/Polybag) as much as 100.97 g/plant, which can increase the weight of pods/plant, pod weight, and number of pods/plant. The fastest flower emergence age is in the B3 treatment, which is 40.55 days. The study results showed that the interaction between Biosaka and NPK fertilizer had no significant effect on the variable of plant height. The use of Biosaka on edamame plant variables that are not much different from the use of NPK fertilizer can be considered.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to implement an aquaponics system with DFT hydroponics in water spinach cultivation in Dolok Sagala Village, Dolok Masihul Subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The aquaponics system combines fish farming with plant cultivation, where fish wastewater is used as a plant nutrient source. In contrast, the DFT hydroponics system allows efficient nutrient circulation. The application of this technology aims to increase agricultural productivity in limited land areas, provide sustainable farming solutions, and enhance local food security. The results of this activity show that the aquaponics and DFT hydroponic systems can significantly improve the growth of water spinach with minimal use of land and resources. Community participation in this activity also increased, reinforcing awareness of the importance of modern agricultural technology.

Abstract

Fire caterpillar (Setothosea asigna) is one of the leaf-eating pests in oil palm plantations, where this type of fire caterpillar is most commonly found in plantations and the highest level of attack. Sycanus annulicornis controls the population of fire caterpillars and to minimise the attack of fire caterpillar pests, as well as maintaining a stable population of fire caterpi llar pests in nature and reducing the use of chemical pesticides that can damage the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of S. annulicornis predators to control fire caterpillar pests. This research was conducted at the Indonesian Institute of Palm Technology Practical Field using the Randomised Group Design (RAK) method with DMRT further test. S. annulicornis predator was able to predate S. asigna caterpillars at the first time of application in treatme nts P1 (3 caterpillars), P2 (6 caterpillars), P3 (9 caterpillars) and P4 (12 caterpillars). The results showed that the longest searching time was recorded at 84.0 minutes and the fastest at 39.0 minutes, for handling time the longest time was 118 minutes and the fastest time was 51.0 minutes. Keywords: Setothosea asigna, , S. annulicornis, Predation Power INTISARIUlat api (Setothosea asigna) merupakan salah satu hama pemakan daun di perkebunan kelapa sawit, dimana ulat api jenis ini yang paling sering dijumpai di perkebunan dan tingkat serangannya yang paling tinggi. Sycanus annulicornis mengendalikan populasi ulat api dan untuk meminimalisir serangan hama ulat api,   serta menjaga populasi hama ulat api agar tetap stabil dialam dan mengurangi penggunaan pestisida kimia yang dapat merusak lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menetahui kemampuan predator S. annulicornis dalam mengendalikan hama ulat api. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Lahan Praktik Institut Teknologi Sawit Indonesia dengan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan menggunkan uji lanjut DMRT. 1 Predator S. annulicornis mampu mempredasi  ulat api S.asigna pada saat pertama aplikasi di perlakuan P1 (3 ekor ulat api), P2 (6 ekor ulat api), P3 (9 ekor ulat api) dan P4 (12 ekor ulat api). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lama pencarian (searching time) terlama tercatat dengan waktu 84.0 menit dan tercepat dengan waktu 39.0 menit, untuk lama penanganan (handling time) waktu terlama  yaitu 118 menit dan waktu tercepat 51.0 menit. Kata kunci: Setothosea asigna, S. annulicornis, Daya Predasi

Abstract

Information system inventory Medical deviceat PT. Taishan Alkes Indonesia is currently still using it manually, namely by recording books and copied using Microsoft Excel. thus causing errors in recording medical device data, both incoming and outgoing medical devices causing difficulties in finding available stock data. The purpose of this study is to provide convenience in processingdata inventory medical deviceso as to minimize errors in data input, data loss, save time and make it easier to find available stock data. With the existence of this web-based application, it can overcome problems in processing data on the safety equipment at PT. Taishan Alkes Indonesia because the data is well organized. This system is designed using the codeigniter framework and MySQL programming as the database.
