Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in improving human resources (HR) performance at Amanah Edu Centre Banyuwangi. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of TQM principles, including customer focus, continuous improvement, education and training, as well as employee involvement and empowerment, can enhance the work quality, knowledge, reliability, initiative, and cooperation of HR. Therefore, TQM plays an important role in improving HR performance and the quality of early childhood education services.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis strategi peningkatan kompetensi Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) di Usaha Batik Aminah, Desa Macan Putih, Banyuwangi, sebagai upaya vital menjaga daya saing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi strategi yang efektif melalui tiga indikator utama. Hal ini terlihat dari Pengembangan Diri menjadi fondasi, tercermin dari transformasi pemilik usaha (Ibu Isah Isrotin) dari pemasar menjadi produsen batik tulis mandiri setelah mengikuti pelatihan, menandakan motivasi belajar dan adaptasi yang kuat. Profesionalisme diwujudkan melalui pelatihan membatik yang terstruktur (jiplak, nyanting, nyolet) dan pembagian tugas yang jelas, yang menumbuhkan disiplin dan meningkatkan mutu produk. Indikator Keahlian ditekankan melalui kemampuan memecahkan masalah produksi, seperti memperbaiki kesalahan pewarnaan atau pola dengan teknik dicas dan lorot. Strategi kolektif ini secara signifikan memperkuat daya saing Batik Aminah. Peningkatan kompetensi ini terefleksi pada kualitas produk yang memuaskan, harga kompetitif, dan keunggulan motif khas Macan Putih sebagai identitas unik usaha, menjadikannya kunci keberlanjutan dan sukses di industri kerajinan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by issues of low human resource (HR) competence at UMKM Batik Salsa, which affects product quality and business competitiveness. Key problems include limited technical skills, inconsistent work discipline, and insufficient structured training. This study aims to analyze the implementation of HR quality management in the production process and its role in strengthening the competitiveness of Batik Salsa. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles & Huberman’s interactive model. Findings show that HR quality management is applied through internal training, task allocation based on expertise, and continuous guidance by skilled workers and the owner. This approach improves accuracy, product consistency, and production effectiveness. Enhanced HR competence also contributes to stronger competitiveness through unique motifs, stable product quality, and increased customer trust.

Abstract

This study examines an open-nature-based marketing strategy in enhancing consumer attraction and competitive value at Warung Senyum Sawahan Banyuwangi. The main issue addressed is the intense competition among culinary UMKM, which requires innovative marketing strategies focusing on consumer experience. The objective of this research is to identify and describe the implementation of an open-nature-based marketing strategy and its impact on consumer attraction and competitiveness. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the owner, employees, and customers of Warung Senyum Sawahan. The findings indicate that the integration of an open-natural atmosphere, rice field scenery, affordable pricing, and consistent product and service quality significantly enhances consumer attraction and competitive advantage. Moreover, the positive emotional experience perceived by customers encourages loyalty and word-of-mouth promotion, strengthening Warung Senyum Sawahan’s position as a nature-based culinary destination in Banyuwangi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze human resource development strategies, the role of local culture, and their impact on improving tourism competitiveness in Jopuro Nature Tourism. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews with Jopuro nature tourism managers, Pokdarwis, the Kampung Anyar village government, and tourists, as well as documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing models. Then, data validity testing was conducted. The results showed that development strategies can be implemented through regular training, institutional strengthening (AD/ART), and inclusive recruitment based on the principle of "from the people for the people." Cultural integration, such as the "Ithuk-Ithukan" tradition, and active community participation have been proven to increase competitiveness in terms of PCI, EI, and HRI indicators. Therefore, community-based human resource development is key to the sustainability of tourism, although the challenge of competency standardization still needs to be addressed.

Abstract

The economy of the Banyuwangi community due to unemployment, starting from 2020, reached 5.34 percent and even in 2021 touched 5.42 percent. This is an optimistic step by the Banyuwangi Government in forming or creating young entrepreneurs. So that the economy and unemployment rate in Banyuwangi can develop towards a better direction. One of the supporting factors, through the Banyuwangi Government's launch program, namely Jagoan Banyuwangi with one of its incubation programs Jagoan Bisnis, to print hundreds of local young people to become entrepreneurs and encourage economic recovery in Banyuwangi. This study was conducted for 4 months from June 2023 to September 2023, with an allocation of 2 months for data collection and 2 months after for data analysis. The results of the statistical test of the difference in means after treatment in the experimental group and the control group with the help of the SPSS program obtained the mean value of the experimental group test results of 74.71 and the control group 66.67. Due to the T test value with a significance level smaller than 0.025 (0.011 < 0.025), it can be concluded that there is a difference in means between the experimental group and the control group. This means that the implementation of Jagoan Bisnis has a significant and positive effect on the learning process.

Abstract

The development of a project-based MKWK learning model is based on the need to develop implementation guidelines, learning tools, and institutional integration of MKWK implementation. The learning process is also often carried out in the classroom, so it is not in line with the MBKM curriculum. The purpose of this study is to develop a project-based MKWK learning model to increase student lecture participation. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) research with the A.D.D.I.E. development model consisting of five stages; Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation, but simplified as needed due to time constraints and other factors into three steps; (1) Analysis, (2) Development, and (3) Evaluation. Based on the results of statistical tests, there is a significant difference between the experimental target and the control target. Statistical tests were carried out using the SPSS program. The results show that the post-test gain for the experimental target was 84, and the average post-test for the control target was 76.3. Meanwhile, the T test obtained a value of 6.621 with a significance level of 0.000 lower than 0.025 (0.000 < 0.025), which indicates that Ho is rejected, the results obtained are the difference between the experimental target and the control target. In conclusion, the project-based MKWK learning model at the University of 17 August 1945 Banyuwangi that was developed is effective in increasing lecture participation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tradisi sosial religius Sarweh pada masyarakat Dusun Krajan 1 Desa Nogosaren Kecamatan Gading Kabupaten Probolinggo, fokus pembahasan pelaksanaan tradisi, sejarah kemunculan dan perkembangannya, serta makna simbolik dan nilai-nilai sosial religius yang dikandungnya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif-interpretatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui triangulasi sumber, yaitu kombinasi antara kajian pustaka dan wawancara mendalam dengan informan yang dipilih secara purposive sampling, meliputi tokoh sepuh, tokoh agama atau imam Sarweh, serta jamaah atau peserta Sarweh. Instrumen penelitian berupa peneliti sebagai instrumen utama yang didukung pedoman wawancara, catatan lapangan, alat perekam, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui thematic analysis dan diperdalam dengan semiotic reading menafsirkan makna simbolik dalam setiap unsur tradisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sarweh dilaksanakan secara rutin setiap malam Jumat setelah salat Isya dengan rangkaian pembukaan, pembacaan al-Fatihah, surat Yasin, tahlil, doa bersama, shalawat, ramah tamah, dan pengumpulan dana sosial Kifayah. Tradisi ini diperkirakan mulai dirintis sekitar tahun 1990-an oleh Bapak Nahrowi dan terus berkembang sebagai praktik sosial-keagamaan masyarakat. Sarweh mengandung makna simbolik yang kuat, terutama penghormatan kepada leluhur, penguatan religiusitas, kerukunan, solidaritas, dan gotong royong. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Sarweh merupakan warisan budaya religius lokal yang berfungsi penting dalam menjaga kohesi sosial dan keberlanjutan nilai-nilai keagamaan.

Abstract

Banyuwangi Regency is one of the affected districts, in terms of the economy experiencing a decline due to the Coronavirus Pandemic (Covid-19). The decline in economic growth in Banyuwangi Regency in 2020 is -0.03%. One of the sectors that can be used as a focus for improvement is UMKM. Teman Usaha Rakyat will provide assistance to the perpetrators UMKM overall. Such as improving product quality, marketing innovation, encouraging UMKM go-digital order, permit processing, certificates, good narrative writing, simple design and more. The purpose of the study is to find out whether the strategy of the Teman Usaha Rakyat program already able to raise the class UMKM in Banyuwangi and provide recommendations for program improvement by Amplification Plan Monitoring and Evaluation of mentoring activities for perpetrators UMKM upgrading in Banyuwangi. This research uses the method Research and Development (RnD). The results of the statistical test of the mean difference before and after treatment in the experimental group (perpetrators UMKM) with the help of the program SPSS 19 the mean value of the pre-assistance questionnaire was obtained = 65.66 and post-mentoring questionnaires = 82.00. This means that there is a positive and significant influence on the implementation of the Teman Usaha Rakyat program.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimizationhuman capitalin household waste management through a SWOT analysis approach at Fastco Recycle Genteng, Banyuwangi Regency. The focus of the research is to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that affect the sustainability of the community-based waste management system. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation studies of Fastco Recycle members, participating communities, and local stakeholders. The research instruments include interview guidelines, observation sheets, and a SWOT matrix (IFAS and EFAS) to analyze internal and external factors of the organization. The results show that Fastco Recycle Genteng has strong human capital with transformational leadership characteristics, a strong environmental commitment, and active collaboration with the community and academics. However, limitations in funding, formal training, and digital marketing skills remain obstacles. The SWOT analysis places Fastco Recycle in Quadrant I (Aggressive Strategy) with dominant internal strengths (X=+2.4) and significant external opportunities (Y=+1.3). These findings indicate that strengthening human capital through capacity building, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration are key to supporting a circular economy and realizing the vision of societyzero wastein Genteng District.
