Abstract

School principals have a strategic role in introducing entrepreneurship to teachers. This research aims to discover the program, strategies, and supporting factors and obstacles for school principals in introducing entrepreneurship in kindergarten at the Kuta Alam District Activity Center (PKG) in Banda Aceh. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques of interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The research results showed that the program to introduce entrepreneurship had been prepared at the beginning of the semester, involving the principal, senior teachers, and supervisors. Still, they were not complete and not well-detailed. The principal's strategy for introducing entrepreneurship is to involve all school personnel. This activity is part of the implementation of P5 in the independent curriculum, such as implementing market day. This study contributes by providing insight into the importance of careful planning and structural support to strengthen the implementation of entrepreneurship programs in early childhood education. The implication is the need for policies that encourage ongoing training for teachers and adequate funding for the program's success to build an entrepreneurial culture from an early age in the educational environment.

Abstract

The principal's leadership plays a crucial role in shaping the work dynamics of teachers, necessitating a strong commitment to offering clear direction and active support to the teaching staff. Furthermore, a favorable work environment encourages effective communication between the principal and the teachers. This research examines the effect of transformational leadership and work climate on school teacher performance. Employing a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design, the study involved 70 respondents selected randomly from six schools with A and B accreditation. Data were gathered using validated questionnaires, and the hypothesis was tested through multiple linear regression analysis. The findings revealed that transformational leadership significantly influenced teacher performance, with a t-value of 3.698 and a significance level of 0.005. Additionally, the work climate had a notable effect, reflected by a t-value of 2,842 and a significance level of 0.005. When combined, transformational leadership and work climate considerably impacted teacher performance, as evidenced by an F-value of 29.357 and a significance level of 0.000. This research underscores the critical role of principals as motivating leaders and emphasizes the importance of fostering a supportive work environment to boost teacher performance in schools.

Abstract

The Data Pokok Pendidikan (DAPODIK) system serves as the primary foundation for educational data management and policy decision-making in Indonesia. However, persistent institutional challenges continue to affect the accuracy and reliability of the data. This research aims to identify and analyze the institutional obstacles that hinder the effective implementation of DAPODIK. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the study explores three key dimensions: infrastructure, institutional structure, and human resources. The findings reveal that (1) inadequate internet connectivity and unstable electricity disrupt data entry and synchronization; (2) weak policy integration, limited budgets, and inconsistent leadership commitment impede effective data governance; and (3) insufficient training for school operators reduces technical competence, thereby compromising data validity. These findings highlight the need for a comprehensive reform strategy that strengthens digital infrastructure, enhances institutional governance, and develops human resource capacity to ensure reliable education data management.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of Minimum Service Standards (SPM) in Education at SMP Negeri 4 Trumon Timur, South Aceh Regency, to evaluate its effectiveness in improving learning quality at the junior high school level. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation studies, the research analyzes learning planning, implementation processes, and infrastructure support using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results show that learning plans align with curriculum standards and basic competencies, teaching practices meet media and competency requirements, and infrastructure, such as laboratories, libraries, and technology facilities, adequately support learning activities. The implementation of SPM effectively enhances educational quality and supports the national goal of creating intelligent, character-driven learners. The findings provide valuable guidance for local governments and education authorities in formulating equitable and sustainable education policies to strengthen the realization of minimum service standards across regions.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness and mechanisms of the Fifteen-Minute Qur’anic Literacy Program (LIMIT) implemented in elementary madrasahs of Krueng Sabee District, Aceh Jaya, Indonesia. Designed to address low Qur’anic reading proficiency among young learners, the study employed a mixed-methods approach combining quantitative pre–post testing (n = 90; 30 per school) and qualitative interviews, observations, and document analyses. Results revealed significant improvements across all literacy components—tartīl, tajwīd, makharij, and adab—with p < .001 and a large effect size (Cohen’s d = 2.4). The fidelity index reached 86.7%, with time-on-task consistency (94%) and parent involvement (78%). Qualitative mapping identified five core drivers of success: 15-minute micro-timing, certified teacher-models, peer-tutoring loops, parental reinforcement, and data-driven monitoring. LIMIT proved to be a low-cost, high-impact intervention, requiring only Rp 3,200 per student annually, and demonstrated high social acceptance (M = 4.6/5). The findings contribute an integrative micro-intervention framework for Qur’anic literacy that is effective, efficient, and replicable within Islamic elementary education

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to develop a participatory and data-based model for managing basic education facilities and infrastructure to improve the quality of education services in the archipelago. The focus of the research is directed at the optimization strategy of BOS funds, the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM), and the use of data-based School Facilities Management System (SFMS). Methods: This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies. The research informants consisted of principals, teachers, and committees in two elementary schools in Simeulue Regency, who were purposively selected. Data analysis was carried out through reduction, thematic presentation, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation validation of sources and methods. Results: The results of the study show that the planning and implementation of infrastructure management have been carried out in a participatory, adaptive, and data-based manner, with school principals playing a central role in coordination. The main challenges include limited BOS funds, technical personnel and digital literacy. From the field findings, an Integrative Model for Participatory Facilities and Infrastructure Management (ISPBD Model) was formed, which emphasizes collaboration, budget efficiency, and public accountability. Novelty: This research offers a new conceptual model that integrates the principles of SBM, BOS fund optimization, and data-driven facility management, which has not previously been developed in an integrated manner in the context of elementary schools in the Indonesian archipelago.
