Abstract

Ship accidents due to fire will result in several consequences, especially concerning the structure of the ship. The very high temperature of the ship fire will greatly affect the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the ship's construction materials after the fire. This study will investigate the relationship between mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of materials to the temperature that occurs during the fire. The mechanical properties are examined by testing the tensile strength of the material after the fire. As for corrosion resistance, corrosion speed testing will be carried out using the 3-electrode cell method. The experimental temperature variations used are 300°C, 500°C, 600°C, 700°C, and 900°C. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the higher the fire temperature, the mechanical properties also increase. This increase in tensile strength reaches a culmination point at a temperature of 600°C and then tends to decrease with increasing fire temperature. As for the corrosion speed, the change phenomenon is also almost the same pattern. The higher the temperature of the ship fire, the corrosion speed will increase significantly. The increase in the corrosion rate value in post-burn ship materials will continue to increase. So based on the experiment, it can be concluded that post-burning material can still be refurbished if the temperature is <600°C, with a tensile strength of 445 MPa and a corrosion rate of 0.5 mmpy.

Abstract

The extreme increase in plastic waste over the past few decades has significantly impacted environmental challenges, especially in marine ecosystems. Despite numerous attempts, the use of recycled plastic waste remains restricted to specific applications. This paper experimentally investigates the potential of using Recycled Plastic-Waste Boards (RPB) as a shell hull construction material for fishing vessels in Indonesia. The study technically investigated the performance of RPB works compared to regular materials like wood and fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) for fishing vessels in terms of mechanical properties, and it's cost-effective. The RPB was made from mixed plastic waste, which was collected, chopped into small pieces, and then heated using a special design heating pot which then poured into special mold. The RPB was then mechanically tested using the ASTM D638 standard for tensile strength and the ASTM D790 standard for flexural strength. The results indicate that the RPB’s tensile and flexural strength are 9.4 MPa and 17.22 MPa, respectively, which meets the required mechanical strength standards for marine applications. In addition, the economic analysis shows that using RPB material can lower the construction costs of a 4-GT-sized boat shell hull by 57.79% and 17.09% compared with wood and FRP materials. Based on technical and economic views, the RPB materials have potential as alternative materials for boat shell construction and are more economical. These findings suggest that RPB provides a sustainable alternative to conventional materials and promotes the development of a circular economy within Indonesia's fishing sector. Overall, this research highlights the potential of RPB to contribute to both environmental sustainability and economic feasibility in the construction of small fishing vessels.

Abstract

The Pharmaceutical Wholesaler is a legally established company authorized to procure, store, and distribute medicines in large quantities. Numerous issues within Pharmaceutical Wholesalers and their impact on business continuity highlight the need for a structured risk management system to identify and mitigate potential risks in the future. Structured risk management is a crucial component for ensuring the operational sustainability of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers, aiming to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks that may disrupt the supply chain process. This study employs the House of Risk (HOR) method to analyze risks using the SCOR (Supply Chain Operation Reference) framework, which includes the processes of Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Return. HOR Stage 1 identifies risk events (RE) and risk agents (RA) and calculates the Aggregate Risk Potential (ARP) value to prioritize risk agents. HOR Stage 2 designs mitigation strategies by considering the effectiveness of preventive actions and the difficulty of implementation. Based on the analysis in HOR Stage 1 through interviews and discussions, scoring was conducted for each risk event, identifying 44 risk events and 13 risk agents. Using a Pareto diagram, 7 major risk causes were identified as priorities for prevention. HOR Stage 2 evaluation resulted in nine preventive actions, with five prioritized actions recommended to control potential risks. These include forming a dedicated monitoring and updating team, developing a clear SOP-based work system, creating supplier diversification strategies, providing regular training, and conducting regular audits or evaluations.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a digital business model for Marhani Grosir based on partnerships by utilizing the Value Proposition Design (VPD) and Business Model Canvas (BMC) approaches. The main focus of the research is to understand the needs of MSME partners and consumers as the foundation for strengthening services and improving the existing cashier application for partners. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews with store owners, business partners, consumers, and IT technicians. The collected data were then analyzed to map the key elements in VPD and BMC, which were formulated into the design of a digital application mockup. The research findings show that MSME partners require a digital system that facilitates restocking, records transactions, and monitors inventory in real time. Consumers seek product information transparency, fast delivery services, and clear promotional features. The developed cashier application has addressed most of these needs, although challenges remain, such as the absence of multi-account features, limited integration of digital payments, and internet network barriers. This study highlights the importance of strengthening digital elements in local wholesale business models to support operational efficiency and customer loyalty. Further strategies are recommended in the form of application feature updates, improved distribution systems, and the expansion of digital-based partnerships. By adopting a user-centered approach, Marhani Grosir can enhance its competitiveness amidst the growing digital transformation of the market.

Abstract

In the work plan there are often operational problems that hinder the completion of a project such as lack of resources, improper resource allocation, delays in project implementation and other issues beyond the schedule in the work plan. The same happened to the mall development project experiencing operational problems. Project delays may come from service providers as well as from users of services or other parties. Therefore this thesis aims to analyze the factors causing the delay in completion of the mall development project. The method used in analyzing the problem in this project is house of delay which serves to analyze data of cause of delay. From the result of 5 delay events, 13 delay agents are then searched aggregate delay potential (ADP) value to determine 3 main problems causing delays in this project. Based on the analysis using the HOR method, found that the three main causes of the delay of mall development is the image changes, lack of coordination by the owner, and the addition of the scope of work. These 3 problems can be minimized by making good communication and coordination with the owner, creating procedures for making and changing pictures, creating a comprehensive check list.

Abstract

Every year, the committing officer, then called as PPK, as the manager of the owner construction project in the local government and its team often handles more than 50 (fifty) construction projects termed “multi construction projects”. This study aims to identify the design needs of monitoring and controlling multi-construction projects system in the local government in order to be developed as a reference needs of monitoring and controlling system software. This study began by identifying the needs of PPK and stakeholders through interviews related to the system software that will be developed. The interview results were then grouped and described as “customer requirement attributes” and then made the “importance” level values of those attributes as a questionnaire. The quality result concluded that all customer requirements attributes were considered important with the total score range at 123–171 from the “importance” standard score is 105. Then a functional requirement was made for each customer requirement and analyzed using a method adopted from house of quality (HoQ) with final results are; the highest percentage from 36 (thirty six) of the relative importance weight from functional requirements is 6.42 percent and the lowest is 1.24 percent with 5 (five) highest sequences are 4.78 percent-6.42 percent.
