Abstract

This research focuses on the concept of ambidextrous leadership in the context of public service transformation in Indonesia. The background lies in the complexity of challenges faced by the government in enhancing efficiency and innovation in public services. The objective of this study is to investigate the role of ambidextrous leadership in achieving a balance between resource exploration and exploitation efforts to enhance the quality of public services. The research methodology employs a qualitative approach with case study analysis and interviews. The findings indicate that leaders implementing ambidextrous leadership can generate significant innovations in public services while maintaining high efficiency levels, with important implications for the improvement of public services in Indonesia.

Abstract

The synergistic model states that career development is influenced by how employees demonstrate their skills based on their relevance to organisational planning and personal vision within the organisation. Meanwhile, many civil servants are late in developing or do not even have a vision and career development planning within the organisation so there is nothing to align the demonstration of competencies for the advancement of the organisation. This research aims to understand the phenomenon of career development of civil servants through the perspective of synergistic model. The results show that as a result of the disproportionate actuation of individual vision and organisational vision and how employees interpret roles in the organisation that drives them to make loyalty variable as the main path of career development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the community empowerment in the Dasawisma Program in Tappale Village, Libureng Subdistrict, Bone Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach and produces descriptive data. Data collection is done throughobservation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The data obtained from the research are processed using an interactive analysis model, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing and testing conclusions. The results of this study show that the Dasawisma program in Tappale Village covers the aspects of Cleanliness, Beauty, and Orderliness (K3). The empowerment of Tappale Village Dasawisma is carried out by the Village Government. The role and contribution of Tappale Village Dasawisma in preserving the environment have been felt, but not to the maximum extent. Based on the research conducted, it is found that according to the ACTORS empowerment theory, it has not been implementedeffectively, as analyzed through that theory. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the implementation ofcommunity empowerment programs by Dasawisma in Tappale Village has not been successful. There are several obstacles faced by Tappale Village Dasawisma in empowering the community. In addition, there are also steps taken by Tappale VillageDasawisma to address these obstacles. The recommendations from this study are given based on the dimensions of eachACTORS theory.

Abstract

This research uses the method Narrative Literature Review to explore the implementation of information technology in improving the quality of public services, especially through e-Government systems, in Indonesia. The results and discussion of the cited literature show that the application of information technology has produced a number of significant impacts. First, the majority of local governments have demonstrated a commitment to adopting information technology to improve public services, such as through the creation of government applications and websites. Second, the technical and human resource capacity to support e-Government has increased in most local governments, with an increase in the number of skilled human resources in IT and training efforts undertaken. Third, the implementation of e-Government has provided added value in increasing public access to government services and increasing administrative efficiency. However, there are still challenges that need to be overcome, such as the low quality of human resources, low public awareness of the importance of technology-based public services, and budget limitations. To overcome these challenges, continuous efforts are needed to increase human resource capacity, increase outreach to the community, and adequate budget allocation. Thus, the implementation of e-Government in Indonesia has the potential to be more successful in improving the quality of public services.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out 1) How is the Management of Drought Emergency Response Management through the Air disuntik Resahpun Terobati Program at Perusahaan Air Minum Tirta Mangkuluku of Palopo City; 2) Supporting and inhibiting factors in carrying out drought emergency response through the Air disuntik Resahpun Terobati Program at Perusahaan Air Minum Tirta Mangkuluku in Palopo City. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Data collection by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that 1) Management of drought emergency response through the “air disuntik resahpun terobati” program at the perusahaan air minum tirta mangkaluku kota Palopo from indicators of planning, organizing, and supervision can be said to be effective, but the implementation indicators cannot be said to be effective, seen from the absence of a definite scheme in its implementation, the uncertainty of time in the distribution process due to problems with the distance or location of water sources that are quite far away and non-technical problems, and the limitations of the fleet require assistance from related parties. 2) Supporting factors such as support from related parties, a clear organizational structure and employee motivation in providing services to the community so that the services provided can be maximized. The inhibiting factors are the lack of community awareness and the distance of distribution which is quite far so that it causes uncertainty in time.

Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi etika bermedia sosial di SMP Negeri 33 Makassar bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital dan kesadaran siswa mengenai pentingnya etika dalam menggunakan media sosial. Program ini dirancang untuk mengatasi tantangan yang dihadapi remaja, seperti Cyberbullying, penyebaran informasi palsu, dan tekanan sosial yang berdampak negatif pada perkembangan mental dan emosional siswa. Melalui metode pelatihan yang mencakup ceramah, diskusi interaktif, praktik, dan evaluasi, siswa dilatih untuk memverifikasi informasi, berinteraksi secara sopan, dan menghindari konten negatif di media sosial. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa mengenai etika bermedia sosial dan keterampilan literasi digital mereka. Antusiasme siswa dan dukungan penuh dari pihak sekolah berkontribusi pada kelancaran pelaksanaan program. Meskipun demikian, potensi hambatan seperti kurangnya kesadaran awal siswa dan keterbatasan sumber daya perlu diperhatikan dalam pengembangan program di sekolah lain. Oleh karena itu, saran untuk penguatan literasi digital, perluasan program ke sekolah lain, pendekatan multidisipliner, dukungan psikologis, pelatihan untuk orang tua, dan kolaborasi dengan pihak eksternal sangat penting untuk memastikan keberlanjutan dan dampak positif yang lebih luas dari program ini. Dengan demikian, diharapkan program sosialisasi etika bermedia sosial dapat memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam membentuk generasi muda yang bijak dan bertanggung jawab dalam penggunaan media sosial.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Quality of Inpatient Services at the H. Andi Sulthan Daeng Radja Regional General Hospital, Bulukumba Regency, this study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The Data Analysis Technique used in this study is interactive data analysis through the following stages: data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion testing.The results of this study show that the Inpatient Services at the H. Andi Sulthan Daeng Radja Regional General Hospital, Bulukumba Regency have generally run well, although there are still shortcomings in its implementation. This can be seen from several indicators, namely, determination, implementation and responsibility. However, there are still shortcomings in administrative personnel who are still not agile in serving non-medical patients, but the Bulukumba Regency Government has made every effort to improve services at the H. Andi Sulthan Daeng Radja Regional General Hospital, Bulukumba Regency, including inpatient services. The supporting factor in inpatient services at H.Andi Sulthan Daeng Radja Bulukumba Hospital is the existence of good communication between medical personnel and patients, and also receives support from the government and the local community. The inhibiting factor in the service at H. Andi Sulthan Daeng Radja Hospital, Bulukumba Regency is in the research licensing section which is still charged to get a permit for research.

Abstract

The training ‘Express Yourself! Public Speaking Training for Teenagers at Cokroaminoto Junior High School Tamalanrea, Makassar‘ aimed to improve students’ Public Speaking skills and confidence. The training was attended by approximately 50 students as well as several teachers, with implementation assistance by university students. The training method included theory sessions, practical exercises, and constructive feedback from resource persons who are experts in Public Speaking. The results of the training showed significant improvements in several aspects: participants' confidence increased, communication skills developed, critical thinking and argumentation skills improved, and participation in school activities increased. The pre-test and post-test results showed a significant improvement in skills after the training. Positive feedback from participants supported the effectiveness of the interactive and inclusive training methods. The training not only provided individual benefits but also strengthened dynamics and co-operation among students. In conclusion, the training was successful in creating young people who are more prepared and confident in facing future challenges, and is recommended to be continued periodically with continuous mentoring and involving various resource persons.

Abstract

Food security is a strategic issue that requires a governance network approach through multi-stakeholder collaboration. However, students at UIN Alauddin Makassar have a limited understanding of the concept of governance networks and their application in food security policies. This community service activity aims to improve students' understanding of governance networks through book reviews and interactive dialogues. The method used is a participatory approach with experiential learning conducted in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The activity was held on November 20, 2024, at UIN Alauddin Makassar, involving 50 students from various study programs. The speakers consisted of practitioners from WIKIPangan Sulawesi Selatan and political science lecturers who provided theoretical and practical perspectives. The evaluation employed a mixed-methods approach comprising pre-and post-tests, Focus Group Discussions, and in-depth interviews. The results showed a 41.6% increase in understanding (from a score of 58.4 to 82.7), with 88% of participants achieving a score above 70. There was a 34.2% increase in positive attitudes toward multi-stakeholder collaboration, and 76% of participants expressed interest in actively participating in governance and public policy activities. The activity successfully transformed students' understanding from a theoretical to a practical level and fostered change agents capable of applying governance networks to address food security issues. The long-term impact is the emergence of a generation of leaders who understand the importance of collaboration in public policy.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian ini adalah untuk mendukung pemberian Pendidikan Informasi dan informasi publik desa yang efektif, efisien dan transparan melalui digitalisasi di desa. Kegiatan yang akan dilakukan bertujuan untuk mencapai hal tersebut perlu dilakukan dengan mengadakan pelatihan dan lokakarya pendampingan yang relevan menggunakan teknologi yang dapat mendukung pelaksanaan pengabdian pelayanan publik Kecamatan Bontonompo, Kabupaten Gowa. Dengan kegiatan ini, harapan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan desa dan masyarakat melalui penerapan “One Belt, One Road” pelayanan publik yang efektif. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan metode sosialisasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil pelaksanaan dari kegiatan ini yaitu tim pengabdian akan mendampingi masyarakat untuk mengembangkan dan membuat sebuah website sebagai bentuk digitalisasi desa yang kedepannya dapat meningkatkan minat kunjungan wisatawan dan sebagai wadah untuk mencapai transparansi informasi publik
