Abstract

The lecturer is a profession with two different functions: a teacher and a researcher. Teaching and research activities are inseparable and reciprocal and provide great benefit for lecturers. But, doing those activities simultaneously makes a high workload for the lecturer. This research employed the job demands-resources model to investigate the link between teacher-researcher role conflict and psychological well-being. This research was carried out on 250 lecturers in East Java, coming from three big cities, Surabaya, Malang, and Jember, taken by random sampling. Structural equation modelling was used to examine the research model. The results found that the teacher-researcher role conflict has a significant negative effect on work enthusiasm. On the contrary, the teacher-researcher role conflict has a significant positive effect on emotional exhaustion. These findings provide evidence to stakeholders (Universities and The Ministry of Education and Culture) to be more concerned about the dual role that lecturers must carry out as a teacher and a researcher.

Abstract

Student engagement is a very important component in the teaching and learning process, because this can influence the level of participation, attention and effort made by students in learning activities. With student engagement, the learning process in the classroom can be effective, active and fun. There are several factors that influence student engagement, including the social environment (peer support) and achievement motivation. This research aims to 1) analyze the influence of peer support on student engagement, 2) analyze the influence of achievement motivation on student engagement. This research uses quantitative methods and is classified as a correlational type of research. The number of students used as samples for this research was 222 people, namely all class X students at Al-Islam Krian High School who were used as research subjects. Questionnaires given to respondents directly were used to collect data for this research. With the help of SPSS software, the data was then examined using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The findings of this research show that although achievement motivation has a big impact on student engagement, peer support also has a significant effect on student engagement. Based on the results of the coefficient of determination test ( ), it shows that the independent variable simultaneously has a contribution of 55.3% which influences the dependent variable, then the remaining 45.7% is influenced by other factors outside this research so that efforts are needed to increase student engagement.

Abstract

The high unemployment rate, particularly among college graduates, is a serious problem facing Indonesia. This situation necessitates strategic efforts to develop the potential of the younger generation so that they are not merely job seekers but are able to create their own jobs through entrepreneurial activities. Students, as part of the younger generation, are expected to have a strong interest and motivation for entrepreneurship. This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurship education and family support on the entrepreneurial interest of students in the Economics Education Study Program at Surabaya State University. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative research type, which aims to determine the relationship and influence between variables. The study sample consisted of 197 students selected using a simple random sampling technique to ensure fair representation of the population. The research instrument was a questionnaire designed to measure students' perceptions regarding the entrepreneurship education they received and the extent to which family support influenced their decisions to become entrepreneurs. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS software to test the significance of the influence between variables. The analysis results indicate that both entrepreneurship education and family support have a positive and significant influence on students' entrepreneurial interest. These findings emphasize the importance of implementing applicable and inspiring entrepreneurship education, as well as the need for family involvement in providing moral and material support. Thus, the combination of formal education at university and family support can be a crucial factor in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among students. This research recommends improving the quality of entrepreneurship curricula and family mentoring programs to support young entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of economic literacy and self-control in e-commerce use on impulsive buying in high school students. The sample was 10th-grade students at SMAN 18 Surabaya, with a total of 156 respondents selected using proportional random sampling. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research instruments consisted of tests and questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used multiple linear regression with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics version 25 software. The results showed that economic literacy had a negative and significant effect on impulsive buying. This indicates that the higher a student's economic literacy, the lower their tendency to engage in impulsive buying. Furthermore, self-control in e-commerce use also has a negative and significant effect on impulsive buying. This suggests that students who are able to control themselves when using e-commerce are less likely to be tempted to engage in impulsive buying. Simultaneously, economic literacy and self-control in e-commerce use significantly influence impulsive buying, with a fairly strong contribution in explaining variations in impulsive buying behavior among adolescents. Abstract

This study conducts a decade-long bibliometric analysis to critically map the intellectual structure, thematic evolution, and collaboration patterns within adaptive learning research. The study addresses a key gap in prior literature, where existing reviews remain predominantly narrative and fragmented, limiting systematic understanding of how adaptive learning has evolved conceptually and methodologically. Using the Scopus database, 14,009 records were initially identified, of which 141 articles met rigorous inclusion criteria. Bibliometric analysis was performed using Bibliometrix and Biblioshiny, incorporating co-authorship analysis, co-citation mapping, keyword co-occurrence, and thematic evolution techniques to ensure analytical depth and methodological robustness. The findings reveal three dominant knowledge clusters: technology-driven personalization, data-informed learning optimization, and pedagogical integration of adaptive systems. Influential authors, leading journals, and emerging research fronts highlight a shift from system development toward learning effectiveness and equity-oriented implementation. Collaboration networks indicate increasing internationalization but uneven scholarly connectivity across regions. This study contributes by providing a consolidated intellectual map, identifying emerging trajectories, and clarifying theoretical and methodological directions for future research. The findings offer practical implications for designing evidence-based adaptive learning strategies and inform policy and research agendas in data-driven education.
