Abstract

Interactive media training is an important need in improving the quality of the learning process in higher education. The use of interactive media allows students to play an active role in the learning process so as to improve understanding and learning outcomes. This community service aims to carry out training on the use of interactive media for lecturers and students and analyze its impact on student learning outcomes. The activity involved 33 students and lecturers of the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Makassar as training participants. The training method is in the form of interactive workshops and hands-on practice of using interactive media. Evaluation is carried out through pre-test and post-test, as well as observation of participant involvement. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes and an improvement in lecturers' skills in applying digital learning media. This training is expected to encourage the implementation of interactive media more optimally in the learning process in higher education.

Abstract

The socio-technical architecture of garden lamps based on symbolic values of the “Bola Soba” roof (Bugis Bone traditional house) is an edu-tourism attraction for all of us. The socio-technical system is an old approach that was created in the development of integrated tourism components based on local cultural values. The results of qualitative research using the Research & Development Method and phenomenological approach explain the noumena (meaning) behind the phenomenon (fact) of the socio-technical architecture of garden lamps based on the symbolic value of the Bola Soba roof. The results of the study found that the architectural work of garden lamps in Bone Regency based on the symbolic value of the Bola Soba roof is very full of philosophical meaning as educational tourism learning. The actualization of basic values and value orientations as noumena behind the phenomenon of socio-technical architecture based on symbolic values is identical to the upper part of the garden lamp in the form of the roof of the Bugis Bone traditional house, namely Bola Soba. The use of the Bola Soba roof shape on garden lamps is not only aesthetic but also a symbol of preserving local Bugis culture (ethics), as well as a historical and educational marker to remind the public of the cultural values of ancestral heritage (kinesthetics). Likewise, the center of the garden lamp is in the form of a line ornament with a philosophical word motif as a typical motto of the Bugis Bone community culture, namely "Taro Ada Taro Gau" (words are the same as actions) with a Morse code motif (work ethic) proving the richness of the local socio-cultural life (local wisdom, local genius) as a result of creativity and innovation that has sustainable value.

Abstract

The prospect of developing digital marketing-based tourist attractions is a serious effort to promote regional tourism potential through digital platforms such as social media, websites, applications, and search engines. In this digital era, the use of internet-based marketing strategies allows for the dissemination of information quickly, efficiently, and more widely to diverse target markets. This method includes online campaigns, internet marketing, and the use of data to adjust promotional content according to the interests and needs of tourists. This research article explains the prospects for developing digital marketing-based tourist attractions through Songko Recca as digital content. Data were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation to be analyzed using an interactive model that includes data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and verification/drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the development of digital marketing-based tourist attractions through Songko Recca is very prospective because Songko Recca is an Icon of Bone Regency. Songko` Recca or Songko To Bone also known as Songkok Bugis is one of the cultural works of the Bone community. Songko` Recca has officially become an intangible cultural heritage of Indonesia based on the determination of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture in 2018.

Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of exposure on the Asphalt Concrete – Binder Course (AC-BC) layer without the Asphalt Concrete – Wearing Course (AC-WC) overlay over two years on its mechanical properties and density. Exposure to traffic loads and environmental conditions, such as UV radiation, rainfall, and temperature fluctuations, potentially causes significant degradation. Samples were tested using the Marshall method to analyze stability, flow, air voids, VMA, VFB, and Marshall Quotient, with field data compared to initial laboratory data before. The results indicate a reduction in relative density from 98% to 92–94%, as well as changes in aggregate gradation, particularly in the medium and coarse fractions. Stability was recorded at 3709.99 kg, significantly exceeding the minimum specification of 800 kg, but the flow of 5.77 mm exceeded the 2–4 mm specification range, suggesting a higher tendency for plastic deformation. This study emphasizes the importance of promptly covering the AC-BC with AC-WC to prevent further degradation. Recommendations include the application of a seal coat as a temporary mitigation measure. These findings offer strategic insights for more efficient and durable road infrastructure planning.

E-government, a transformative force in contemporary public administration, involves the use of electronic platforms to deliver government services to citizens. The study employs bibliometric analysis to systematically examine and quantify the scholarly output, trends, and patterns in research related to the role of e-government in public services. The research leverages Biblioshiny, a sophisticated bibliometric analysis tool, to conduct an in-depth examination of a diverse range of publications. This tool facilitates the extraction of valuable insights from academic literature, shedding light on key thematic areas, prolific authors, and publication trends over specified periods. By employing bibliometric analysis, the study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the intellectual landscape surrounding e-government in public services. The findings of this research are expected to contribute significantly to the understanding of the scholarly discourse on the role of e-government in public services. By utilizing bibliometric analysis, the study aims to identify gaps in existing research, highlight areas of prolific academic activity, and provide insights that can inform future research directions and policy considerations in the realm of e-government. Ultimately, this research endeavours to offer a nuanced and data-driven perspective on the evolving landscape of e-government and its impact on shaping effective and citizen-centric public services, thereby enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of government operations and interactions with the public.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to evaluate the efficiency and accuracy of tripod-mounted clinometers in comparison with handheld clinometers for vertical structure measurements. A comparative quantitative experimental approach was employed, involving 40 measurement trials conducted on a multistory building with a known control height of 12.832 meters. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, with a paired-samples t-test at the 0.05 significance level. The findings reveal that the tripod-mounted clinometer produced an average measurement of 12.86 m, with a standard deviation of 0.12 m and a deviation of +0.03 m from the actual value. In contrast, the handheld clinometer yielded an average of 11.43 m, a standard deviation of 0.58 m, and a deviation of −1.40 m. Statistical testing confirmed a significant difference (p < 0.05) between the two instruments in terms of both accuracy and measurement efficiency. It can thus be concluded that the tripod-mounted clinometer demonstrates superior accuracy and efficiency, primarily due to its mechanical stability during angle observation. These findings underscore the critical role of stable mechanical design in enhancing the performance of field measurement instruments within geodetic and engineering applications
