Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dalam materi pengklasifikasian filum Arthropoda yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung (direct instruction). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen yang dilakukan pada kelas VII SMA Negeri 1 Nisam. Pengambilan sample dilakukan secara random sampling. Hasil uji statistic keterampilan proses sains diperoleh t-hitung 18.04 dengan nilai t-tabel 1.65. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini terdapat peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung (direct instruction). Kata kunci: model pembelajaran langsung (direct instruction), keterampilan proses sains, filum Artropoda

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Prior Knowledge-based Flipped Learning strategy to increase students' self-efficacy in the learning process on Electrolyte and Non Electrolyte Solutions. This research was carried out in the even semester of 2022/2023 at SMA Negeri 1 Gandapura. The type of research conducted was experimental research using a nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study were all students of class X Science at SMA Negeri 1 Gandapura for the academic year 2022/2023 which consisted of 4 classes, namely classes X IPA 1, X IPA 2, X IPA 3, X IPA 4, with a total of 144 students. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. The sample in this study was class X IPA 1 as the experimental class and X IPA 4 as the control class. The experimental class was treated using the flipped learning strategy while the control class was treated using the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) strategy. And the results of the expert validation test for the student's self-efficacy questionnaire obtained 24 questionnaire items with the conclusion that they were feasible to use. Testing students' self-efficacy questionnaires from the results of the Independent Sample T Test found that the Sig (2-tailed) value of students' self-efficacy was 0.091 0.05 for the experimental class and 0.094 0.05 for the control class. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the Prior Knowledge-based Flipped Learning strategy and the STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) strategy are effective in increasing students' self-efficacy levels.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Strengthening, Orientation, Investigation, Evaluation (SOIE) strategy on students' chemical literacy at SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe. This research was carried out in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year in classes XI-1 and XI-4. The type of research used is quasi-experiment (quasi-experiment) with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling. The sample in this study was class X1-I as an experimental class with a total of 36 students and class XI-4 as a control class with a total of 33 students. The research sample has been tested for normality and homogeneity requirements. The data collection technique uses essay questions. The test was carried out at the end (posttest) in the experimental class and control class. Hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney test, obtained a sig value. (2-tailed) 0.001 < 0.05 on posttest results. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the SOIE strategy on students' chemical literacy at SMA Negeri 1 Lhokseumawe and the SOIE strategy can contribute positively to students' chemical literacy on reaction rate material according to the sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05 and strengthens understanding of concepts and encourages active involvement of students in the chemistry learning process.

Abstract

Kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk membantu kelompok petani dari masyarakat yang belum produktif secara ekonomi tetapi memiliki hasrat kuat untuk menjadi wirausahawan. Kegiatan PKM ini akan diterapkan pada Masyarakat Desa Paloh Gadeng, Kec. Dewantara, Kab. Aceh Utara. Kendala yang dihadapi mitra adalah sulit menentukan teknik pengolahan yang tepat pada buah nipah (Nypa fruticans Wurmb), pengetahuan mitra terhadap teknik pengolahan buah nipah masih minim. Dari permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra, diperlukan beberapa solusi diantaranya dengan memberikan pendampingan pemberdayaan kelompok masyarakat tentang penerapan ilmu dan teknologi dalam kegiatan: 1) pengetahuan mengenai tanaman dan manfaat buah nipah (Nypa fruticans); 2) penerapan teknologi pengolahan pangan berbasis sumber daya lokal yang meliputi pemilihan buah nipah, jenis, dan teknik pengolahan buah nipah segar; dan 3) pengolahan buah nipah agar menjadi bahan pangan olahan dengan nilai ekonomis tinggi seperti manisan dan 4) proses produksi dan manajemen pemasaran produk olahan buah nipah. Metode yang dipakai adalah pemberdayaan partisipati aktif kelompok tani pada mitra dengan transfer ilmu dan teknologi tentang pengenalan dan manfaat buah nipah, pengolahan buah nipah melalui pendampingan langsung di lapangan. Kesimpulan si diperoleh bahwa mitra mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengolah buah nipah sehingga dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomisnya.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create (RADEC) model on the chemical literacy abilities of class XI students at SMA Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe through aspects of chemical literacy, namely aspects of context, knowledge, and competence. This research is Pre-Experimental Design research, carried out in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year at SMA Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe. The subjects in this study consisted of 2 classes that took cross-interest chemistry lessons, namely classes XI-1 and XI-2, with 55 students. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling. The data collection techniques and instruments used in this research were essay questions in the form of stories or literacy, totaling nine questions about reaction rate. The research results show that the t-test data on students' chemical literacy test learning outcomes has a sig. value. (2-tailed) 0.000 0.05, so H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. The conclusion is that the RADEC learning model influences the scientific literacy abilities of class XI students at SMAN 7 Lhokseumawe on the reaction rate material. The average value of the students' chemical literacy aspects is that the average value of the context aspect in the experimental class is 79.01, the knowledge aspect is 87.65, and the competency aspect is 60.49. The average value of the context aspect in the control class is 69.04, the knowledge aspect is 35.11, and the competency aspect is 45.83. The influence of chemical literacy abilities can be seen from the average value of students who use the RADEC learning model 76, with the good criterion being higher than students who use the conventional learning model, which is 50 with sufficient criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers' understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum and P5 and to identify the challenges, strategies, and impacts of implementing Project Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile (P5) on the development of students' character and skills using a qualitative approach. The research was conducted at a public high school in North Aceh Regency. The research subjects consisted of 13 teachers, 17 students, and the curriculum coordinator. The instruments used included interview guidelines and questionnaires for both teachers and students. Data collection techniques involved in-depth interviews and distribution of questionnaires. The primary data sources for this study include data obtained through in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and the curriculum coordinator, as well as the completed questionnaires from teachers and students. The questionnaires were designed to explore their perspectives, understanding, and experiences regarding the Merdeka Curriculum and the implementation of P5. This data provides a comprehensive overview of curriculum implementation as well as the obstacles and strategies applied by the school. The analysis of teachers' understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum shows that teachers grasp the basic concepts of the curriculum, although many face challenges in designing project-based learning. Obstacles such as diverse student interests and limited resources hinder the curriculum's implementation. The implementation of P5 has a positive impact on students' skills; however, its integration with lessons needs to be improved.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Paloh Gadeng Kecamatan Dewantara Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Adapun yang menjadi tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada masyarakat dalam mengolah buah nipah tua (Nypa fruticans) menjadi tepung. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa permasalahan mitra yaitu: 1) Masyarakat Desa Paloh Gadeng belum mengetahui bahwa buah nipah dapat diolah menjadi tepung. 2) Masyarakat Desa Paloh Gadeng hanya memanfaatkan bagian pohon nipah (Nypa fruticans) sebagai “bubong oen” dan pembungkus rokok tradisonal. Pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari 3 tahapan yaitu 1) sosialisasi; berkaitan dengan perubahan mindset masyarakat untuk dapat memiliki jiwa wirausaha (entrepreneurship), 2) Workshop pengolahan buah nipah tua menjadi tepung, 3) Pendampingan produksi  tepung buah nipah sehingga pemproduksian tepung nipah dapat berkelanjutan. Hasil evaluasi akhir dari program kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan memberikan dampak positif baik bagi masyarakat Desa Paloh Gadeng terutama Ibu Rumah Tangga dan remaja putri yang putus sekolah. Selain itu kegiatan ini mendapatkan respon yang positif dari pihak mitra hal ini diperoleh dari hasil respon rata-rata pihak mitra sebanyak 56% sangat setuju dan sebanyak 44% setuju. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat, sesuai dengan kebutuhan mitra serta mampu memberikan solusi bagi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pembinaan kepada masyarakat dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan dengan pembuatan Ecotech Gareden (EGA) sederhana sebagai media alternatif dalam pengolahan limbah rumah tangga (Grey water). Mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah Desa Alue Anoe Barat Kecamatan Baktiya Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Kegiatan ini di latarbelakangi oleh beberapa permasalahan mitra yaitu: 1) Kurangnya pengetahuan tentang cara mengolah limbah yang mengalir bebas kealam sehingga dapat merusak ekosistem; 2) Tidak adanya pelatihan tentang pengolahan limbah rumah tangga/limbah domestik. 3) Mayarakat membutuhkan pembinaan cara menangani dampak limbah dan cara pengolahannya agar tidak menimbulkan penyakit. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari 3 tahapan yaitu 1) sosialisasi dan diskusi; 2) pelatihan; 3) pendampingan. Tahapan sosialisasi dan diskusi dilakukan melalui penyuluhan (pemaparan materi) tentang pencemaran lingkungan, bahayanya air limbah rumah tangga, pengenalan tentang alat ecotech garden (EGA) bagaimana cara pengolahan air limbah serta bagaimana cara merancang alat pengolahan air limbah menggunakan alat ecotech garden (EGA). Hasil evaluasi akhir program kegiatan yang telah dilaksnakan adalah alat ecotech garden (EGA) sangat efektif digunakan dalam pengolahan limbah air rumah tangga (grey water), selain itu kegiatan ini mendapatkan respon yang positif dari pihak mitra hal ini diperoleh dari hasil respon rata-rata pihak mitra sebanyak 62% sangat setuju dan sebanyak 47% setuju. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat, sesuai dengan kebutuhan mitra serta mampu memberikan solusi bagi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra
