Abstract

The research aims to 1) analyze marketing margins, marketing efficiency and farmer's share of gillnet fishing businesses in Rebaq Rinding Village; 2) analyze the income of the fishers who use gillnet method in Rebaq Rinding Village. The sample method used is the purposive sampling method for the respondent of gillnet fishers and snowball sampling method for the respondent of the fish collectors. Data analysis methods used are marketing margin analysis, marketing efficiency, farmer's share and fishermen's income analysis. The results of the study showed that the marketing margin at the one-level marketing channel for snakehead murrel fish is Rp. 10,000/Kg, sucker barb fish Rp. 8,500/Kg, glass fish Rp. 11,000/kg, kissing gourami fish Rp. 12,000/Kg. The two-level marketing channel for snakehead murrel fish is Rp. 30,000/Kg, sucker barb fish Rp. 11,000/kg, glass fish Rp. 11,500/Kg, kissing gourami fish Rp. 21,000/Kg, with a total margin on one level marketing channel of Rp. 41,500/Kg and a two-level marketing channel of Rp. 73,500/Kg. More efficient marketing is on the one level marketing channel for snakehead murrel fish of 54.5%, sucker barb fish 29.2%, glass fish 26.7%, kissing gourami fish 29.4%. Farmer’s share is obtained from the results of analysis found in the two-tier marketing channel for snakehead murrel fish of 25%, sucker barb fish 21.4%, glass fish 23.3%, kissing gourami fish 16%. The income of gillnet fishers in Rebaq Rinding Village with an average value of Rp. 3,003,216/month.

Abstract

The aim of this research were to analyze the Costs, Revenue, Profit or Net Income, Revenue Cost Ratio, Payback Period and the Break Event Point of fresh fish peddlers businesses and fresh fish sellers businesses in Bengkuring Tepian Permai Residence East Sempaja, Samarinda City. The research conducted for seven months since September 2016-March 2017. Sample design was referred by two kind of methodology, for fresh fish peddlers using by Accidental Sampling and for fresh fish sellers using by Purposive Sampling. The results show that the Total Cost that expanded by the fresh fish peddlers averagely is Rp 23,177,892.-/month/peddler and for fresh fish seller is Rp 44,398,931.-/month/seller. Total Revenue for fresh fish peddlers is Rp 28,052,500.-/month/peddler and for fresh fish seller is Rp 55,271,000.-/month/seller. The Profits that gained by the fresh fish peddlers averagely are Rp 4,878,60.-/month/peddler and for fish sellers are Rp 10,872,069.-/month/seller. Revenue Cost Ratio for fresh fish peddlers are 1.21 and for fresh fish sellers are 1.22. Payback Period for fresh fish peddlers averagely is 1.86 month and for fresh fish sellers averagely is 4.68 month. Break Event Point, is: Sale Volume for fresh fish peddlers is 733.04 kg and for fresh fish sellers is 1,251.44 kg. BEP Prices for fresh fish peddlers averagely is Rp. 32,512.-/kg and for fresh fish sellers averagely is Rp 30,102.-/kg. BEP Selling for fresh fish peddlers averagely is Rp 199,791.- and for fresh fish seller averagely is Rp 1,278,680.-.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the financial farms, calculate the sensitivity of farms, calculate the breakeven point on the aspect of price, production and sale of farms, and knowing the marketing channels and marketing agencies of farming fish and tiger shrimp in District Babulu Penajam Paser Utara.Methods of sample used is purposive sampling with the number of respondents taken as many as 10 people who conduct business activities in aquaculture. This study was conducted in April 2016 and April 2017. The data analysis method used is the financial method Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR Net), Period of Return on Investment (Payback period), sensitivity analysis (sensitivity analisys) and break-even analysis in the form of a breakeven price, the breakeven point of production, sales breakeven point. The results of this study indicate that further aquaculture fish and tiger shrimp is feasible to be implemented over the period of next five years. The results of the sensitivity analysis of the cultivation of making a profit in the next five years with the current market economic conditions Rp. 593,052,658.00. The actual condition of cultivation based on aspects of production, sales and pricing in general is above the conditions BEP (Break Event Point) with an average value of 5.65. Marketing channels 0 rate of aquaculture No 2 is 0 Rate (cultivators - Consumer) and two levels, namely (cultivators - Wholesalers - Wholesalers Retailers - Consumer).

Abstract

The purpose of this research were determinan the readabality of adaption and the level of readability of try and adoption inovation of utilization of cassava flour as additional raw material of fish pellet of Pokdakan member in Sumber Sari Makmur. This research was conducted since March 2017 in Sumber Sari village Loa Kulu district Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The sampling method was used cencus to 11 respondents. The data used by primary data and secondary data, primary data was collected by survey method questionnaire and secondary data obtained from literature study. Data was analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results was obtained the readabality to adoption of utilization of cassava flour as additional Raw Material of Pellet Nile (Oreochromis niloticus) of Pokdakan member in Sumber Sari Makmur. It is known from 11 respondents that 9 (81,8%) of respondents as showed as high to adoption of that innovation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine marketing channel, instutional market, marketing margin, marketing effisiency, profit and milkfish marketing problems. Data collection was conducted with purposive and snowball sampling methods by using questionnaire spread to respondents. The research was conducted star from April 2016 to February 2017. Field data were analyze by descriptive quantitative using table and charts. The result showed that fish marketing channel consist of two levels type, namely, 0 level and the second level. Institutional market was involved in marketing are: Pondfarmers, wholesalers, and retailers. Margin of Marketing obtained by farmers, wholesalers, retailers, respectively Rp 2,000. The marketing process is efficient because each intermediary marketing gained share (part) above 50%. Gains derived by farmers on average Rp 93,169,617 / year, wholesaler’s profits by an average of Rp 38,544,933 / year, and the benefits retailers by an average of Rp 19,977,917 / year. Problems faced by pondfarmers in the research area are insufficient of natural food (klekap), the wholesalers often undertakes demand for milkfish from outside the area. For retailers if the price of milkfish is expensive was impact low purchasing power of consumers so that retailers loss.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain group dynamics and identify problemsfaced by Karyamaju Bersama gillnet fishermen. This entire series of research wascarried out for 13 months starting from January 2021 to January 2022 with theresearch location in Sungai Meriam Village, Anggana District, Kutai KartanegaraRegency.Sampling referstothecensus method,whereall14 membersofthepopulation are all respondents. Field data collection by means of observation andinterviews using a questionnaire. To measure the level of group dynamics of gill netfishermen, the data was processed using the Likert scale method, namely giving ascore for each respondent's answer, namely the highest answer was given a score of3 and the lowest was given a score of 1. Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the business feasibility of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) grow-out farms in Jembayan Village, Loa Kulu, Kutai Kartanegara. Sampling was done using the Purposive Sampling technique with a total respondent of 15 people. The data analysis method used quantitative analysis, while the business feasibility analysis used Revenue, Income, Break-Even Point (BEP), Revenue Cost Ratio (RCR), Payback Period (PP), and Return On Investment (ROI). The result showed that the Nile tilapia grow-out farm business gained revenue of IDR 14,272,000/Production or IDR 42,816,000/year and received an income of IDR 7,867,576/Production or IDR 23,602,729/year. The result of calculating the Nile tilapia grow-out farm business was feasible to be maintained with a BEP in sales of IDR 12,256,078 and a BEP in units of 738 kg, while a BEP selling price of IDR 17,822/kg. The result of calculating the Nile tilapia grow-out farm business showed that it was feasible to be maintained and developed with an average value of RCR of 1.80. The result of calculating PP for identifying the amount of time required to recoup the funds expended for investment was 1.4 years and an ROI of 70.6%. Therefore, the Nile tilapia grow-out farm is feasible to be operated since the ROI percentage is higher than the interest percentage of Bank BRI of 6%/year (deposit interest rate of Bank BRI in 2021).

Abstract

This study aimed to explain the advantages of the Cindy Milkfish Amplang Processing Business in Sungai Meriam Village, Anggana Sub-district and to find out the feasibility of the Cindy Milkfish Amplang Processing Business in Sungai Meriam Village based on the criteria of RCR, Break-Even Point (BEP), Payback Period (PP) and Returns On Investment (ROI) as well as to know the Driving and Inhibiting Factors for the Cindy Milkfish Amplang Processing Business in Sungai Meriam Village, Anggana Sub-district. The research was carried out from March 2021 to February 2022 in Sungai Meriam Village, Sub-district. The research method and data collection used was a census with a sample of 1 respondent. The results showed that Cindy's amplang processing business in Sungai Meriam Village benefited from a kentngan value of Rp. 29,134,476 / month (6 times production). Furthermore, the Cindy Milkfish Amplang Processing Business is economically viable with RCR value of 1.9, the Break-Even Point (BEP) value from BEP Price of Rp.10,289/pack, the amount of BEP Production is1,543 kg/production and the amount of BEP Sales is Rp. 2.750,096 /month, the Payback Period (PP) is 2,3 months or 70 days and Return On Investment (ROI) is 20,88%. It is found that the driving factor for the business owner is having attended training or seminars held by the Department of Industry, whereas the inhibiting factor is seasonal raw fish materials, non-maximum marketing in various media, processing workers who often change in every production

Abstract

This study aimed to discover the role of Fishery extension Officers in Developing Fish Aquaculturer Groups (POKDAKAN) in East Balikpapan Sub-district, Balikpapan, and the obstacles faced by the fishery extension officers in performing their role to develop the fish Aquaculturer groups (POKDAKAN) in East Balikpapan Sub-district. The primary data collection was conducted in November 2021 in East Balikpapan Sub-district; the primary data using an interview was collected using the list of questions based on the study objective. The sampling method referred to the census method involving 56 fish aquaculturer groups as the respondent. The findings showed that the role of fishery extension officers as motivators and communicators was in the “Strongly Play a Role” category, while the role of fishery extension officers as facilitators, mediators, and organizers was in the “Play a Role” category. The overall fish aquaculturer groups’ perception of the role of fishery extension officers in East Balikpapan Sub-district was in the “Strongly Play a Role” category with an average score of 37.85 in the score range between 37.36 and 48.00. The obstacle faced by the fishery extension officers in developing fish aquaculturer groups was the difficulty in passing by the damaged access road to the location during the rainy season. Another obstacle was that the officers did not frequently receive information updates regarding the technology from the relevant institution/office.

Abstract

Semanting village is well known for its natural resources. Fishing and its related produce has been identified as the main home industry in this village. One of the most popular fish produce is fish cracker managed by Hj. Asfiah. The main ingredient of this product is milk fish (chanos-chanos) and otek fish (Osteogeneiosus militaris). In order to identify the internal and external strategy of this business, the SWOT analysis was applied to evaluate strength, weakness, opportunity and threat that might affect the business sustainability. The analysis indicated that the strength and opportunity (S-O) is essential and need to be managed. Based on the estimation values, this business is feasible and scale improvement is necessary.
