Abstract

Science literacy is one of the skills and competencies needed in physics learning. However, literacy skills need to be well-practised and have received little attention from schools. This research aims to develop science literacy-based student worksheets that are valid, practical, and effective and, therefore, appropriate for improving students' science literacy. This development study uses the ADDIE development model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study used a one-group pre-test and post-test method with 35 students from class XI MIPA 4 at SMAN 8 Banjarmasin. Data collection instruments included validation, lesson plan observation sheets, and learning outcome tests. Data analysis techniques involved calculating the average score on validation and practicality results, which were then analyzed descriptively based on achievement categorization. The effectiveness analysis used the N-Gain formula. The research results indicate that (1) The student worksheets and learning outcome tests are valid with excellent criteria; (2) The student worksheets and learning outcome tests are practical with excellent implementation criteria; (3) The student worksheets and learning outcome tests are effective, as indicated by an N-Gain science literacy score of 0.58, categorized as moderate. Based on these results, the science literacy-based physics worksheets on dynamic fluids material that were developed are declared feasible and can be used in the learning process to improve students' science literacy. The developed worksheets offer an alternative for enhancing students' science literacy.

Abstract

Partners, namely members of the Tanah Bumbu Regency Physics “Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP)”  forum. This forum is under the auspices of the Education and Culture Office of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government. This forum consists of 23 physics teachers in Tanah Bumbu Regency. The analysis of the situation and problems of partners showed that teachers at the Tanah Bumbu Regency Physics MGMP need to be given reinforcement of the Pancasila Student Profile Through Physics Learning Media at the Tanah Bumbu Regency Physics MGMP. This Community Service uses the Service Learning (SL) method which consists of preparation, implementation, and reflection. The material presented was about the Pancasila Student Profile, the use of learning media in order to strengthen the Pancasila student profile, Introduction and preparation of physics learning media in order to strengthen the Pancasila student profile. The activity was continued with assistance in preparing physics learning media in order to strengthen the Pancasila student profile. The achievement of increasing the empowerment of partners in utilizing media in learning was measured using an observation sheet. Achievement was calculated through the average score obtained. The results of the activity evaluation showed this workshop was considered successful in delivering material and achieving the stated goals

Abstract

Students' scientific argumentation ability is important in physics lessons but is still not optimal. Therefore, a teaching module is needed that can help develop this ability. This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of momentum and impulse modules through effective and feasible physics modeling learning to improve students' scientific argumentation abilities. This study uses the ADDIE development model. The subjects of the research trial were 20 students consisting of 2 classes XI A Boys and XI A Girls of SMA IT Arafah Sampit. The effectiveness of learning reviewed from the student learning outcome test obtained an effective category with an average n-gain score of 0.58 which is categorized as effective in measuring scientific argumentation abilities. Thus, it is found that the use of physics modeling learning through momentum and impulse modules can improve students' abilities in scientific argumentation.

Abstract

Students' digital literacy remains very lacking. This research aims to determine the feasibility of a guided discovery-based E-Module to train students' digital literacy skills. This research is a research and development study using the ADDIE model, and a practicality test of the E-Module was carried out on 30 physics education alumni in 2017. Data collection techniques employed E-Modul validation instruments and E-Module readability questionnaires. The data analysis technique was quantitative descriptive. The results showed that (1) E-Module validation results and readability instruments in the valid category and (2) E-Module practicality seen from the student readability questionnaire has met the practical category. It is concluded that the E-Module developed on momentum impulse material is feasible to train students' digital literacy skills. This research implies that the integration of digital literacy in modules can help students prepare for the challenges of education in the digital era and encourage the development of a more interactive curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the extent of misconceptions held by students at SMAN 3 Kuala Kapuas regarding the motion of objects and their causes. This study constitutes descriptive research. The methodologies employed for data collection included observation and testing. The instruments employed comprised both test and non-test instruments (questionnaires). The three-tiered diagnostic test was designed to ascertain the extent of student misconceptions. The non-test instrument employed was an interview instrument designed to ascertain the underlying factors contributing to the formation of erroneous beliefs among students. The tools employed consisted of test papers and structured interview protocols. The data pertaining to misconceptions were subjected to both quantitative and qualitative analysis, after which the percentage of students' misconceptions was elucidated through discussion. The population for this study comprised all students enrolled in Class X MIPA at SMAN 3 Kuala Kapuas, while the sample size consisted of 15 students. According to the analysis of the data, the average percentage of misconceptions among students at SMAN 3 Kuala Kapuas is 45.33%. The factors contributing to misconceptions among students include their abilities, the teaching methods employed by teachers, the interactions and communication between teachers and students throughout the learning process, and the student's learning styles. The implications of this study suggest that it influences the learning process and enhances the quality of student comprehension. Furthermore, it facilitates the development of superior instructional materials, such as incorporating illustrations, simulations, or straightforward experiments, which elucidate abstract concepts.

Abstract

Proses penyederhanaan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran ke dalam bentuk modul ajar dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka di sekolah masih menimbulkan banyak kendala di lapangan. Kendala ini juga dirasakan oleh mahasiswa calon guru ketika menjalani praktik mengajar di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang muncul sehubungan dengan pengembangan modul ajar dengan mengoptimalkan metode self dan peer assessment bagi mahasiswa calon guru fisika. Penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan fisika dari Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) yang mengikuti program Asistensi Mengajar pada tahun 2023. Data penelitian diambil dari portofolio modul ajar yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa selama pelaksanaan asistensi mengajar, termasuk hasil karya mereka setelah menerapkan self dan peer assessment. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan mahasiswa merancang modul ajar, dengan rata-rata awal sebesar 62,0 meningkat menjadi 82,8. Jika dinyatakan dalam gain score, peningkatannya adalah sebesar 0,52 (berkategori sedang). Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam upaya terus-menerus untuk menyempurnakan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dan meningkatkan keterampilan pedagogis para calon pendidik Fisika, serta memberikan kontribusi berharga dalam bidang pendidikan. Kata kunci: Mahasiswa Calon Guru Fisika, Modul Ajar, Penilaian Diri dan Sejawat.   Simplifying the Lesson Plans into Teaching Modules within implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in schools continues to encounter various challenges. Student teachers also experience these challenges during their teaching practice. This research aims to address the issues arising from the development of teaching modules by optimizing the methods of self and peer assessment for prospective Physics teachers. The study involves all Physics Education students from Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) participating in the Teaching Assistance program in 2023. Research data is derived from teaching module portfolios created by students during the teaching assistance period, including their work after implementing self and peer assessment. The analysis reveals a significant improvement in students' ability to design teaching modules, with an initial average score of 62.0, increasing to 82.8. Expressed as a gain score, this represents an improvement of 0.52 (categorized as moderate). This research contributes to the ongoing efforts to refine the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and enhance the pedagogical skills of future Physics educators, providing valuable insights into the field of education. Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains sangat penting dimiliki oleh peserta didik dalam pembelajaran sains, terutama dalam fisika yang menuntut penguasaan konsep dan praktik. Namun, keterampilan proses sains belum diajarkan secara maksimal karena ketiadaan modul ajar yang mendukung. Selain itu, kegiatan praktikum juga tidak terlaksana sistematis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kelayakan modul fisika berbasis learner autonomy untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu research & development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian adalah 29 peserta didik kelas XI 2 SMAN 1 Alalak. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi modul dan lembar keterlaksanaan modul fisika. Teknik analisis data secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa modul fisika yang dikembangkan termasuk kategori valid dan reliabel. Aspek tinjauan modul fisika tersebut yaitu aspek format, bahasa, isi, penyajian dan manfaat yang memperoleh nilai 3,82. Modul fisika berbasis learner autonomy yang dikembangkan juga memuat bahan bacaan dan LKPD yang terkategori valid. Hasil pengamatan keterlaksanaan modul fisika untuk empat kali pertemuan memperoleh kategori baik setiap pertemuannya dengan relialiabilitas tinggi. Oleh karena itu, modul fisika berbasis learner autonomy yang dikembangkan termasuk layak untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik dalam pembelajaran fisika.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains (KPS) siswa pada materi gerak harmonik sederhana sering kali rendah akibat keterbatasan kegiatan praktikum dan kurangnya fasilitas laboratorium. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan E-LKPD berbasis video eksperimen dan laboratorium virtual yang dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk melatihkan KPS siswa secara efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate), dengan subjek penelitian adalah 22 siswa kelas X MIPA di SMA Negeri 12 Banjarmasin. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validitas, angket kepraktisan, dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil validasi menunjukkan E-LKPD ini sangat valid pada aspek didaktik, konstruksi, dan keterampilan proses sains. Dari angket kepraktisan, E-LKPD dinilai praktis dengan rata-rata skor 70,31%, menunjukkan bahwa media ini mudah digunakan dan menarik bagi siswa. Efektivitas E-LKPD ini juga dibuktikan melalui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa dengan skor N-gain sebesar 0,53 (kategori sedang). Integrasi video eksperimen dan laboratorium virtual dalam E-LKPD ini membantu siswa memahami konsep fisika dan melatih keterampilan proses sains secara mandiri. E-LKPD ini direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran interaktif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi sains siswa pada topik-topik yang memerlukan visualisasi konsep abstrak. Development of E-Worksheet Based on Experimental Videos and Virtual Laboratories to Train Students' Science Process Skills in Simple Harmonic Motion Abstract Students' science process skills (SPS) in simple harmonic motion are often low due to limitations in laboratory practice and inadequate laboratory facilities. This study aims to develop an E-worksheet (E-LKPD) based on experimental videos and virtual laboratories that can effectively train students’ SPS in physics. The research follows the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate), with 22 tenth-grade students in SMA Negeri 12 Banjarmasin as research subjects. Research instruments included validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Validation results show that the E-LKPD is highly valid in didactic, construction, and science process skills aspects. Practicality scores averaged 70.31%, indicating that students found the E-LKPD easy to use and engaging. The effectiveness was demonstrated by an increase in SPS, with an N-gain score of 0.53 (moderate category). The integration of experimental videos and virtual laboratories in this E-LKPD aids students in understanding physics concepts and independently enhancing their science process skills. This E-LKPD is recommended as an interactive learning tool to improve students' science competence in topics requiring visualization of abstract concepts.

Abstract

Science process skills are essential for students in physics learning, but their current abilities are still considered inadequate. This inadequacy is due to the lack of teaching modules designed to enhance these skills. Therefore, this study developed a teaching module using the Predict, Observe, Explain (POE) learning model to improve students' science process skills. The research follows the Research & Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE development model, producing both qualitative and quantitative descriptive data. The subjects were 30 students from class XI A at SMAN 10 Banjarmasin. The instrument used was a science process skills test sheet, and the analysis technique employed was the N-gain score. The results showed that the teaching module using the POE learning model effectively improved students' science process skills, with an N-gain score of 0.41, categorized as moderate. Thus, it can be concluded that the teaching module using the POE learning model is effective for enhancing students' science process skills.
