Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kualitas susu meliputi uji jumlah mikroba susu dan derajat keasaman susu sapi perah setelah pemberian perlakuan pakan yang berbeda. Pengujian in vivo dilakukan di peternakan sapi perah PT. Citra Agro Buana Semesta (CABS) Malangbong. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 kelompok perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan P1: Ransum Lengkap, P2: P1+DFM, P3: P2 +Protein by pass, P4: P2+PL, P5: P2+PLM. Analisis hasil uji jumlah mikroba susu menggunakan uji Total Plate Count (TPC) dan derajat keasaman susu sapi perah menggunakan pH Meter digital. Hasil yang diperoleh dilakukan pengujian analisis ragam dengan uji lanjut Duncan. Hasil penelitian jumlah mikroba susu dan derajat keasaman pada susu sapi perah menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan nyata (p>0,05). Hasil uji jumlah mikroba dan derajat keasaman susu sapi perah setiap perlakuan tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan dengan kondisi jumlah mikroba susu diatas 1x106 CFU di atas jumlah mikroba berdasarkan SNI dan derajat keasaman berada pada kisaran susu berdasarkan SNI.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the effect of supplementation of mangosteen peel extract microcapsule which was encapsulated using maltodextrin from sugar palm starch (MPEM) on intestinal characteristics, and malondialdehyde of Cihateup duck. This study used 140 male Cihateup ducks, which were divided randomly into 7 groups of cages with different feed treatments. The T1 treatment consisted of only basal rations. The T2 treatment contained basal rations added with 50 ppm bacitracin. The treatment of T3 to T7 consisted of basal rations added by MPEM at the doses of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5%, respectively. Data on intestinal characteristics, and malondialdehyde level were analyzed using a completely randomized design and if there were significant differences, further testing using DMRT method was performed. Abstract

Pangandaran merupakan salah satu daerah yang memiliki tingkat perekonomian yang tinggi. Salah satu faktor penunjang kehidupan ekonomi para masyarakat ada pada peternakan. Pakan ternak menjadi salah satu hal penting dalam memberikan pasokan yang optimal pada hewan ternak. Ketahanan pangan menjadi permasalahan baru saat ini, perlu adanya cara lain dalam membuat pakan alternatif untuk hewan ternak. Universitas Padjadjaran melaksanakan model Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yaitu Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) di Desa Wonoharjo, Kecamatan Pangandaran, Kabupaten Pangandaran. Untuk mengatasi kenaikan harga pakan ternak, penyusun memberikan solusi dengan penyuluhan mengenai pembudidayaan larva/maggot lalat Black Soldier Fly (BSF) sebagai alternatif pengganti pakan ternak yang lebih ekonomis. Pendekatan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini termasuk penyuluhan berbasis workshop karena dilaksanakan partisipatif di antara masyarakat warga untuk mendorong terjadinya aksi transformatif. Hasil pengabdian berupa penyuluhan selama satu hari dengan beserta praktiknya untuk budidaya maggot. Dengan alternatif pakan ternak berupa maggot BSF ini diharapkan produksi dapat meningkat. Di samping itu, diidentifikasi bahwa maggot BSF dapat menjadi solusi penanganan sampah organik rumah tangga dan peluang bisnis.

Abstract

Limbah buah durian mengandung nutrisi dan senyawa bioaktif seperti tanin, alkaloid, triterpenoid, flavonoid, serta β-karoten yang berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas kuning telur. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penambahan limbah durian yang difermentasi Pleurotus ostreatus dalam ransum ayam petelur terhadap kualitas kuning telur. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan lima perlakuan yaitu P0 (ransum tanpa limbah buah durian fermentasi; P1 (ransum dengan 5% limbah buah durian fermentasi); P2 (ransum dengan 10% limbah buah durian fermentasi); P3 (ransum dengan 15% limbah buah durian fermentasi); dan P4 (ransum dengan 20% limbah buah durian fermentasi), dimana masing-masing dengan empat ulangan. Peubah yang diamati meliputi bobot, warna, dan kolesterol kuning telur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bobot, warna maupun kolesterol kuning telur perlakuan P0 (ransum tanpa limbah buah durian fermentasi) berbeda nyata (p<0,05) dibanding ransum dengan limbah buah durian fermentasi. Penambahan hingga 20% limbah durian fermentasi meningkatkan bobot dan intensitas warna kuning telur, sedangkan penambahan 5% efektif menurunkan kadar kolesterol. Penelitian ini menunjukkan potensi limbah durian fermentasi sebagai alternatif bahan pakan fungsional untuk meningkatkan kualitas telur ayam. ABSTRACT Durian waste contains nutrients and bioactive compounds, including tannins, alkaloids, triterpenoids, flavonoids, and β-carotene, which have the potential to enhance egg yolk quality. This study aimed to investigate the effect of adding durian waste fermented by Pleurotus ostreatus to laying hen rations on egg yolk quality. The research was conducted experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design with five treatments, namely P0 (ration without fermented durian fruit waste; P1 (ration with 5% fermented durian fruit waste); P2 (ration with 10% fermented durian fruit waste); P3 (ration with 15% fermented durian fruit waste); and P4 (ration with 20% fermented durian fruit waste), each with four replications. The variables observed included egg yolk weight, egg yolk color, and egg yolk cholesterol. The results showed that the weight, color, and cholesterol of the egg yolk of the P0 treatment (ration without fermented durian fruit waste) were significantly different (p<0.05) compared to the ration with fermented durian fruit waste. The addition of up to 20% fermented durian waste increased the weight and intensity of the egg yolk color, while the addition of 5% was effective in reducing cholesterol levels. This study demonstrates the potential of fermented durian waste as an alternative functional feed ingredient to improve egg quality in laying hens.

Abstract

Bawang putih (Allium sativum) adalah tumbuhan yang berasal dari Asia Tengah dan telah menjadi bagian penting dari masakan dan obat-obatan tradisional. Black garlic merupakan hasil fermentasi bawang putih yang memiliki sifat antioksidan yang kuat dan juga sebagai antibakteri yang dapat meningkatkan fungsi kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui berapa lama pemanasan yang optimal pada black garlic yang menghasilkan zat aktif, aktivitas antioksidan, dan aktivitas antibakter terbaik. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dilakukan pada penelitian yaitu P1 = fermentasi 15 hari; P2 = fermentasi 20 hari; P3 = fermentasi 25 hari. Parameter yang diukur meliputi kandungan zat aktif, antioksidan dan antioksidan. Hasil penelitian dianalisis ANOVA. Apabila terdapat perbedaan yang nyata maka dilakukan uji lanjut dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil pengujian zat aktiv terdeteksi kandungan flavonoid pada black garlic serta menunjukan hasil berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) pada kandungan polifenol, antioksidan, dan antibakteri. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukan bawah lama fermentasi selama 20 hari merupakan waktu optimal untuk pembuatan black garlic.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect and impact of addition fermented catfish waste extract microcapsules in feed ration on the red blood profile of broiler chickens. This research was conducted at the Ciparanje Experimental Facility, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Padjadjaran University from September-November 2024. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Each replication consisting of 4 chickens with a total of 80 broiler chickens in this study. The research treatments were P0: ration without the addition of catfish waste extract microcapsules (basal ration), P1: 99.5% basal ration + 0.5% catfish waste extract microcapsules, P2: 99% basal ration + 1% fermented catfish waste extract microcapsules, P3: 98.5% + 1.5% fermented catfish waste extract microcapsules, and P4: 98% fermented catfish waste extract microcapsules. basal + 2% microcapsules of fermented catfish waste extract. The parameters measured are the red blood profile including the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin levels, hematocrit values, and mean corpuscular volume (MCV). The results of statistical analysis showed that effect were significant (P<0.05) increase on the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin levels, and hematocrit values, but not significantly different (P>0.05) on the MCV. The research conclusion was that the addition of fermented catfish waste extract microcapsules in the ration had an effect on the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin levels, and hematocrit values, but does not have a significant effect on the MCV of broiler chickens. MELIPF can be added at a usage rate of 0.5-2% in the ration.

Abstract

Egg yolk has a high nutrient content, but cholesterol content and synthetic dyes added in egg yolk trigger concerns for the community so that alternatives are needed to improve egg quality by using Fermented Durian Fruit Waste (LBDF). This study aims to analyze the effect of LBDF with Trichoderma sp. in the ration of laying hens on egg quality. The research was conducted from January to March 2025 at Ciparanje Mini Feedmill and Laboratory of Non-Ruminant Poultry Nutrition and Animal Food Industry, located at Building 3, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Padjadjaran University. The research was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replicates for each treatment, with each unit consisting of 2 laying hens, namely P0 (ration without LBDF), P1 (ration with LBDF Trichoderma sp. 5%), P2 (ration with LBDF Trichoderma sp. 10%), P3 (ration with LBDF Trichoderma sp. 15%), P4 (ration with LBDF  Trichoderma sp. 20%). The results showed that the addition of LBDF  with Trichoderma sp. gave a real effect on yolk cholesterol, yolk color, and yolk weight. The addition of LBDF to feed ingredients at 15% (P3) gave the best effect in reducing egg cholesterol, improving yolk color, and yolk weight.
