Abstract

This community service journal explores the implementation of the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach to empower the local economy of Barbaran Village through the identification and development of agricultural assets. Barbaran Village, located in [specific region], is predominantly an agricultural community with abundant natural resources but faces economic challenges, including low income levels and limited market access. The ABCD methodology was employed to address these challenges by focusing on mobilizing local assets and capacities. The study followed a structured process: engaging the community to build trust and collaboration, mapping existing agricultural assets such as fertile land, traditional farming knowledge, and local crops, and developing strategies to utilize and enhance these assets for economic growth. Key initiatives included training programs to improve agricultural practices, forming cooperatives to enhance market access, and introducing sustainable farming techniques to boost productivity and environmental sustainability. The findings indicate that the ABCD approach effectively empowered the local economy. Community involvement fostered a sense of ownership and commitment, while improved agricultural practices and cooperative formation increased farmers’ skills and income levels. Sustainable farming methods not only enhanced crop yields but also preserved soil health. The ABCD methodology significantly contributed to the economic empowerment of Barbaran Village by leveraging existing agricultural assets. This approach can serve as a model for other rural communities facing similar challenges. Future efforts should focus on scaling successful initiatives and fostering broader collaborations to sustain economic growth. The study underscores the potential of asset-based strategies in driving sustainable development and improving local economies.

Abstract

Self management is the process of specific steps consisting of planning, organizing, mobilizing and controlling needed to achieve the expected goals, so that individuals can do better. The design of this study was purposive sampling pretest-posttest control group design, which was analyzed using the T-Test. The population in this study were VIII grade students of Budi Utomo Perak Jombang Middle School with 49 students. The sample of this study was 6 students who were divided into experimental groups and control groups. The instruments in this study are self-management questionnaires. Based on the data analysis the results of the tcount are r 0.985 and the probability value (Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.381 with df = 4. Then the value is compared with the price of ttable at a significant level of 5% two-party test with df = 4 2,776. thitung .985 is greater than t_table 2.776 and the probability value is 0.381, it can be accounted for student management before and approved counseling of Middle School students.Of this study can be conveyed suggestions: (1) Teacher Guidance and Counseling, counseling behavior can be applied to improve student self-management Middle School and for the next researcher can use the use and other relevant techniques used that are used by researchers now

Abstract

This article discusses the role of technology in classical and contemporary Islamic thought and its implications for human resource management (HRM). In classical Islamic thought, principles such as justice (adl), trust (amanah), and consultation (syura) serve as ethical foundations that guide the management of society and organizations in a fair and wise manner. This thought teaches that technology should be used for the welfare of the community and should not contradict Islamic moral values. Meanwhile, contemporary Islamic thought adapts these concepts to the development of modern technology, emphasizing the importance of innovation that brings social and economic benefits, as well as prioritizing justice and transparency in its implementation. In the context of HR management, the integration of classical and contemporary Islamic thought allows for the use of technology to enhance efficiency, accountability, and employee empowerment without compromising ethical principles. The use of tools such as artificial intelligence (AI) for recruitment and performance evaluation, as well as cloud-based management platforms, can help create a management system that is more transparent, efficient, and equitable. This article also discusses the challenges in implementing technology that aligns with Islamic values, such as personal data protection and reducing bias in technology-based systems. In conclusion, the integration of classical and contemporary Islamic thought in technology-based human resource management not only promotes organizational efficiency but also ensures that technology is used for the benefit of the community, in accordance with the principles of justice, trust, and consultation in Islam.

Abstract

The most important thing for creating sharia banking and financial products in addressing the demands of modern society is the development of multiple agreement.The form of a single agreement is not able to respond to contemporary financial transactions. Multiple agreement method should be superior in product development. Agreement in sharia transaction are modified from the exciting agreements in which such agreements are found in almost all sharia product. Multiple Agreement(al-Uqud al- Murakkabah) is one of contempory in Islamic banking whose implementation develops in line with business developments.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara (UINSU) di Desa Gongsol untuk mengatasi rendahnya kemampuan dasar Bahasa Inggris siswa sekolah dasar. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif digunakan, dan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi pengajaran Bahasa Inggris di MIS Al-Ittihadiyah, pembuatan pojok mini, les tambahan di perpustakaan desa, pengajian Al-Qur'an dan tahsin, lomba "Peringkat 1", dan bakti sosial berbasis masyarakat. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kosakata aktif mahasiswa, motivasi belajar yang lebih besar, dan hubungan yang lebih erat antara tim universitas dan masyarakat. Strategi pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menyenangkan dengan media sederhana terbukti efektif meskipun fasilitas terbatas. Program ini juga mendorong keterlibatan masyarakat, yang sangat penting untuk keberlanjutan, dan direkomendasikan untuk dilanjutkan melalui pendampingan dan pelatihan guru.

Abstract

Praktik Tambang Ilegal di Kelurahan Tapus, Kecamatan Lingga Bayu, Kabupaten Mandaling Natal merupakan penambangan yang awal mulanya ada karena adanya merosotnya ekonomi masyarakat Kelurahan Tapus diakibatkan karena turunnya harga getah/karet sehingga itu tidak mencukupi untuk makan dan kebutuhan sehari-hari masyarakat Kelurahan Tapus, ditambah lagi banyak pemilik pohon karet/Toke menebang pohon karetnya diganti dengan tanaman sawit sehingga banyak masyarakat kehilangan pekerjaannya. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif yaitu menggambarkan kejadian atau fakta, keadaan, fenomena, variabel dan keadaan yang terjadi saat penelitian berlangsung dengan menyuguhkan apa yang sebenarnya terjadi tentang praktik tambang ilegal ditinjau dari maqashid syariah khususnya Kelurahan Tapus. Praktik tambang ilegal dilihat dari maqashid syariah yaitu Hifdzu din (Menjaga Agama), Hifdzu nafs (Menjaga Jiwa), Hifdzu nasl (Menjaga Keturunan), Hifdzu aql (Menjaga Akal), Hifdzul mal (Menjaga Harta) dari sini kita ketahui antara Maqashid syari’ah dengan lingkungan hidup sangat berkaitan dan mempunyai keselarasan, tetapi dalam hal ini dampak yang ditimbulkan dari tambang emas sangat besar kepada masyarakat dan merubah pola pikir ke arah yang lebih baik, untuk agama dan orang banyak.

Abstract

Improving skills should be a concern for educators to support student abilities, but not all educators pay attention to the importance of improving skills. One of them is in terms of writing for teachers at the Vocational High School level. At Vocational High School in Payakumbuh, which is a Vocational School that has majors including Computer Network Engineering, Multimedia, and Software Engineering (Broadcasting), with the sophistication of this IT-based school, of course, it already has facilities in the field of Information and Communication Technology that are qualified. The type of research used is in the form of School Action Research (PTS). School Action Research is an amalgamation of action research. Action research was developed with the intention of finding solutions to social problems. Action research begins with a systematic study of a problem. The results of the study are used as the basis for developing a work plan (action) in an effort to overcome the problem. The conclusion obtained from the research on improving the writing ability of Vocational High School in Payakumbuh teachers through blog-based autobiographical techniques is that there is an increase in the writing ability of Vocational High School in Payakumbuh teachers after attending a workshop on blog-based autobiographical techniques. Teachers' motivation to improve their writing skills also increased, and enthusiasm for using blog or website media to be more optimized.

Abstract

Islamic educational institutions spread throughout the country have become an important concern in the context of politics and power in Indonesia. This article aims to investigate how Islamic education and politics and power influence each other in Indonesia. The discussion in the article covers topics such as politics playing a role in Islamic educational institutions, the relationship between politics, power and Islamic education in Indonesia, the significance of political elements in Islamic education, and the role played by Islamic education in this country. The article will also discuss a number of related issues, such as the role of education in the realm of politics and power, the situation of Islamic education in Indonesia, educational patterns in Indonesia, and four issues that are closely related to the implementation of education based on power, including the process of domestication and misunderstanding, indoctrination, democracy in education, as well as social integration.

Abstract

Contemporary da'wah demands approaches that align with the development of technology and the culture of digital communication. TikTok, as a short-form video-based social media platform, has become a new space for preachers (da'i) to convey Islamic messages that are relevant to the lives of the younger generation. The TikTok account @kadamsidik00 actively utilizes this medium to deliver da'wah in the form of reflective, educational, and inspirational content. This article aims to analyze the communication effects of contemporary da'wah messages delivered by this account on the cognitive, affective, and conative changes of students in the QurÔÇÖanic and Tafsir Studies Program (IAT) at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. The approach used is descriptive qualitative. The results show that contemporary da'wah messages through TikTok can enhance studentsÔÇÖ Islamic understanding (cognitive), shape positive religious attitudes and spirituality (affective), and encourage more active religious practices (conative).

Abstract

Sei Alim Hassak adalah salah satu Desa di Kecamatan Seidadap , Kabupaten Asahan ,Provinsi Sumatera Utara , Indonesia , yang terletak dilokasi banyak perkebunan sawit dan ternak ayam serta ternak sapi .menurut survey yang sudah kami lakukan di Desa Sei Alim yang pada umumnya masyarakat setempat lebih banyak membuat lowongan kerja untuk masyarakat setempat atau masyarakat lainnya berupa peternakan atau pun pabrik sapu serta ladang yang ada pada masyarakat ditanami sayuran atau buah buahan. Banyak nya masyarakat yang lebih berdominan untuk berternak terutama ternak ayam petelur disini kami membuat dan mengaplikasikan pupuk kandang yang berbahan dasar kotoran ayam untuk  meningkatkan sanitasi lingkungan di masyarakat, serta memanfaatkan kotoran ayam untuk pupuk tanaman sehingga kotoran ayam masih bisa digunakan sebagai pupuk kandang untuk tanaman bunga maupun tanaman lainnya yang bisa membantu masyarakat menyuburkan tanah serta protein tinggi untuk tanaman atau tumbuhan , serta mengajarkan masyarakat untuk budidaya sayuran dipekarangan rumah atau di ladang yang masyarakat sudah punya.pelaksanaan ini dilakukan dengan tahapan sebagai berikut : (1). Tahapan survey , (2). Pelatihan , (3). Pembuatan kompos , (4). Pengaplikasian (5). Pemanenan , (6). Pengolahan .Hasil dari pengabdian ini yaiu kader tani dan juga kelompok ibu pkk dan juga masyarakat setempat serta remaja remaja yang ada di Desa Sei Alim Hassak untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang pemanfaatan kotoran ayam menjadi pupuk kandang , mengetahui cara pembuatan dan pengaplikasiannya. Kesimpulannya setelah dilakukannya pengabdian , masyarakat jauh lebih paham tentang pemanfaatan pupuk kandang yang berbahan dasar kotoran ayam .
