Abstract

This research aims to describe management aspects and learning transition strategies from high school to college. This research uses library study or content analysis methods. The results of this study indicate that managing a successful transition from high school to college is critical to students' academic success, especially in the first year. Various studies show that many students are less prepared to study at university and experience obstacles, especially in the aspect of learning adjustment. The gap not only occurs in the secondary school system which does not fully prepare its students to enter college, but colleges also do not have the equipment to accommodate students from secondary schools. To make the transition from high school to college, students need to make adjustments and be supported by the people and systems in their environment. From the aspect of students who will become students, they need to prepare three separate stages in the transition process, namely: separation/separation, transition/transition and merger/merger. From the aspect of higher education, it is necessary to prepare strategies, programs and services to facilitate the transition for students who will enter college. This article reviews the results of a collection of literature regarding management and successful strategies implemented in various countries in facilitating learning from high school to university. The purpose of this literature review is to produce recommendations and considerations that can be used as guidelines for students, parents and universities involved in transition to manage the transition well and successfully.

Abstract

The digital era demands teachers to innovate in creating learning media. In response to this challenge, the community service team organized training on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the creation of innovative learning media. This community service activity aims to: (1) introduce the concepts and potential of AI in education, (2) train practical skills in using AI tools to create learning media, and (3) increase teachers' motivation to innovate. The training was conducted at MIT Al Ishlah Gorontalo, involving 47 teachers as participants. The method used was participatory, through a combination of material presentations, tutorials, and self-practice facilitated by the team. Based on pre-test and post-test results, there was a 75% increase in participants' understanding. Additionally, the satisfaction questionnaire recorded that 98% of participants felt the material delivered was relevant to their needs and they successfully created AI-based learning media prototypes during the workshop session. This activity proves that teachers' capacity in educational technology can be significantly enhanced through structured and applicative training, opening opportunities for digital transformation in the MIT Al Ishlah Gorontalo environment.

Abstract

The increasing use of digital technology by students has not been adequately oriented toward literacy activities, but is instead dominated by non-academic uses such as social media, digital entertainment, and online games. This study aims to describe: (1) the preparation of digital literacy initiatives to increase students’ reading interest; (2) strategies for implementing digital literacy to enhance students’ reading interest; (3) assessment practices for digital literacy in relation to reading interest at SMA Negeri 1 Banggai; and (4) the sustainability of the digital literacy program at SMA Negeri 1 Banggai. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Banggai using observation, interviews, and document analysis, with data processed through an interactive data analysis model. The findings show that: (1) digital literacy preparation begins with analyzing initial needs, formulating objectives and programs, providing facilities and infrastructure, organizing implementation, and planning teacher competency development; (2) digital literacy implementation strategies to foster reading interest include the use of digital media and reading resources that are more engaging, interactive, and easily accessible; (3) digital literacy assessment is conducted reflectively and continuously within learning activities; and (4) evaluation results are used as the basis for program improvement and strengthening, including expanding digital reading collections, regulating device use, and reinforcing support for digital literacy implementation in classrooms and the school library. The study concludes that well-managed digital literacy programs can systematically enhance students’ reading interest when supported by adequate preparation, thoughtful implementation strategies, continuous assessment, and sustained institutional commitment.
