Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) refers to a conscious effort by individuals to adopt healthy habits in their personal lives, within their families, and in the broader community. PHBS aims to prevent health problems through simple yet effective daily practices. The role of parents, the environment, and teachers is crucial in shaping students' behavior, especially during childhood. However, many elementary school students still lack sufficient knowledge about the importance of clean and healthy living habits. Therefore, educational initiatives are necessary to instill these positive behaviors from an early age. The session was carried out in an educational and interactive manner, incorporating direct practice, games, and quizzes. The PHBS education program took place at SDN 18 Bukit Kecil, Pesisir Selatan Regency, involving 30 student participants. The activity had a clear positive impact on students' knowledge and behavior regarding clean and healthy living practices. The success of the program was supported by strong collaboration between the community service team and the school. It is hoped that similar initiatives will continue to be implemented on a regular basis to cultivate a culture of clean and healthy living from an early age.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic condition characterized by impaired linear growth in children due to prolonged nutritional deficiencies. It is associated with serious health consequences, including growth failure, developmental delays, and increased risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity in adulthood. Maternal awareness of nutrition—particularly knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP)—is critical in addressing stunting. This cross-sectional observational study was conducted in Nagari Bukik Kaciak Lumpo, Pesisir Selatan Regency, targeting mothers of children who met the inclusion criteria. The data revealed that most respondents were aged 21–60 years, had a high school education, were housewives, and lived in households with two members. The majority of mothers demonstrated good knowledge of stunting, displayed positive attitudes toward its prevention, and engaged in appropriate preventive practices. Conclusion: The study concludes that the majority of mothers in Nagari Bukik Kaciak Lumpo have good levels of knowledge, positive attitudes, and appropriate practices concerning stunting prevention, emphasizing the importance of maternal education in nutritional interventions.

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of corporate governance mechanisms on strategic risk management (SRM) and firm performance, with SRM examined as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), data were collected from managerial-level respondents across firms operating in dynamic and high-risk environments. The results reveal that board independence and board expertise significantly enhance SRM practices, underscoring the role of effective oversight and domain knowledge in shaping strategic responses to risk. SRM is also found to have a strong positive effect on firm performance, demonstrating its strategic value in improving organizational resilience and competitive advantage. However, board independence, board expertise, and board size show no direct effect on firm performance, indicating that governance mechanisms influence outcomes primarily through risk management processes rather than direct governance intervention. Board size also exhibits no significant relationship with SRM, suggesting that capability and functional effectiveness matter more than structural characteristics. Furthermore, SRM significantly mediates the relationships between board independence and firm performance, and between board expertise and firm performance, confirming its role as a crucial conduit through which governance affects organizational results. Overall, the findings reinforce the importance of aligning governance quality with strategic risk practices to enhance firm performance in increasingly unpredictable business environments.
