Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuipengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share Terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis dan Tingkat Kecemasan Siswa pada Materi Relasi dan Fungsi di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lingga Bayu. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lingga Bayu dengan jumlah sampel kelas eksperimen 30 siswa dan kelas kontrol 30 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel didasarkan pada kriteria yang diterapkan oleh peneliti yaitu simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara, tes dan angket dengan alat pengolah data statistik baik validitas, reliabilitas serta analisisnya menggunakan excel. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa dengan nilai sig 0,000 < 0,05. (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share terhadap tingkat kecemasan siswa dengan nilai sig 0,000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis dan tingkat kecemasan siswa. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share type cooperative learning model on the Mathematical Understanding Ability and Students' Anxiety Level on the Material of Relations and Functions in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Lingga Bayu. This research method is quantitative with a quasi-experimental research type. The population of the study was students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Lingga Bayu with a sample size of 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class. The sampling technique was based on the criteria applied by the researcher, namely simple random sampling. Data collection techniques by conducting observations, interviews, tests and questionnaires with statistical data processing tools, both validity, reliability and analysis using excel. The results of the study revealed that (1) there is a significant influence on the Think Pair Share type cooperative learning model on students' mathematical understanding abilities with a sig value of 0.000 <0.05. (2) there is a significant influence on the Think Pair Share type cooperative learning model on students' anxiety levels with a sig value of 0.000 <0.05. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the cooperative learning model of the Think Pair Share type on students' mathematical understanding abilities and anxiety levels.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament berbantuan aplikasi Quizizz untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament berbantuan aplikasi quizizz dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP IT AL- JAWAHIR. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah total sampling.  Dengan instrument tes berbentuk pretes dan postes. Uji analisis yang digunakan adalah paired samples t – test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika. Besarnya peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran tipe teams games tournament berbantuan aplikasi quizizz adalah 64,40 nilai rata-rata pretes dan 81,57 nilai rata- rata postes maka menghasilkan selisih 17,17 poin atau sebesar 57,2 %. ABSTRAK This study discusses the application of  the Teams Games Tournament type cooperative learning model  assisted by the Quizizz application  to improve students' concept comprehension ability which aims to find out that the application of the Temas Games Tournament type cooperative learning model assisted by the quizizz application can improve the understanding of mathematical concepts. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach. The population in this study is grade VII students of SMP IT Al-Jawahir. The sampling technique used is total sampling.  With test instruments in the form of pretes and postes. The analysis test used is paired samples t-test. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the ability to understand mathematical concepts. The amount of improvement in the ability to understand concepts taught using the teams games tournament type learning model assisted by the quizizz application was 64.40 with an average score of 64.40 pretest and 81.57 average scores for postes, resulting in a difference of 17.17 points or 57.2%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Project based learning  terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi bilangan bulat di kelas VII MTs Negeri 1 Karo; dan (2) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Project based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa pada materi bilangan bulat di kelas VII MTs Negeri 1 Karo yang berjumlah 63 siswa yang terdiri dari 2 kelas paralel.  Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa 1) Melalui hasil data yang telah peneliti lakukan terlihat bahwa hasil untuk hipotesis pertama menunjukkan nilai t-hitung=12,14 dan nilai t-tabel=1,999. Karena t-hitung ≥ t-tabel yakni 12,14 ≥ 1,999 maka H0 ditolak. Maka dari itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Project based learning  terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi operasional bilangan bulat di kelas VII MTs Negeri 1 Karo dan 2) Melalui hasil data yang telah peneliti lakukan terlihat bahwa hasil untuk hipotesis kedua menunjukkan nilai t-hitung = 4,48 dan nilai t-tabel = 1,999. Karena t- hitung ≥ t-tabel yakni 4,48 ≥ 2,004 maka H0 ditolak. Maka dari itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Project based learning  terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi operasional bilangan bulat di kelas VII MTs Negeri 1 Karo. ABSTRACT This study aims to find out: (1) To find out the influence of the Project-based learning model on students' mathematical problem-solving ability in integer material in grade VII MTs Negeri 1 Karo; and (2) To determine the influence of the Project-based learning model on students' mathematical critical thinking skills on integer material in grade VII MTs Negeri 1 Karo totaling 63 students consisting of 2 parallel classes. The results of the study revealed that 1) Through the results of the data that the researcher has done, it can be seen that the results for the first hypothesis show the value, t-calculate. =12.14 and the value, t-table. =1,999. Because, t-calculate. ≥ t-table. namely 12.14 ≥ 1,999 then, H0. rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Project-based learning learning model on students' mathematical problem-solving ability in integer operational material in grade VII MTs Negeri 1 Karo and 2) Through the results of the data that the researcher has done, it can be seen that the results for the second hypothesis show the value, t-calculate. =4.48 and the value, t-table. = 2.004. Because, t-calculate. ≥, t-table. namely 4.48 ≥ 1,999 then, H0. rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Project-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills in integer operational materials in grade VII MTs Negeri 1 Karo.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant influence of mathematical resilience on students' mathematical problem-solving ability, as well as measure the magnitude of this influence. The approach used is quantitative with an ex post facto (comparative causal) design, where variables have occurred before the study was conducted. The research population included all grade XII students at MAS Miftahussalam Medan, with a sample of 33 students selected through simple random sampling techniques. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire to measure mathematical resilience and a test to measure mathematical problem-solving ability. The validity and reliability of the instruments were tested through preliminary trials. Data analysis was carried out through a prerequisite test (normality and linearity), followed by a simple linear regression test, t-test, and determination coefficient. The results of the analysis showed a regression equation Y = 16.803 + 0.273X, with a value of t_hitung = 3.784 > t_tabel = 2.039 at a significance level of 5%, so that H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. The determination coefficient of 0.316 showed that mathematical resilience contributed 31.6% to students' mathematical problem-solving ability, while 68.4% was influenced by other factors. These findings confirm the importance of strengthening mathematical resilience in an effort to improve students' problem-solving skills more effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the GeoGebra application on junior high school students' understanding of mathematical concepts in the topic of Two-Variable Linear Equations Systems (SPLDV). The type of research used is a quasi-experiment with a posttest-only control group design. The population of this study is all eighth-grade students at SMP Islam Terpadu Al-Fakhri, while the sample consists of two classes selected through purposive sampling, namely class VIII-B as the experimental class receiving instruction using GeoGebra and class VIII-A as the control class with conventional teaching methods. The research instrument consisted of a written test totaling 6 questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. The research data were analyzed using a t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The research results show that there is a difference in conceptual understanding between students who learn using GeoGebra and students who learn through conventional learning. The average post-test score of the experimental class was 19.46, higher than the control class at 15.78, with standard deviations of 3.12 and 4.34, respectively. Based on these analysis results, it can be concluded that the use of GeoGebra has a positive effect on improving students' understanding of mathematical concepts in the SPLDV material.

Abstract

HIV/AIDS memiliki risiko tinggi untuk ditularkan melalui kontak seksual, jarum suntik, donor darah, ibu yang menyusui anaknya dan lain-lain. Meningkatnya prevalensi HIV/AIDS di Indonesia terkait dengan rendahnya perilaku pencegahan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis penyebaran HIV/AIDS dengan simulasi model SIA. Penelitian ini menggunakan data kuantitatif yang diambil dari data statistik sektoral di Dinas Kominfo Prov Sumut yang dapat diakses melalui laman internet. Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa jumlah penduduk yang menularkan semakin meningkat setiap tahunnya, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penyebaran virus HIV akan selalu meningkat setiap tahunnya.

Abstract

Kerja praktek (KP) merupakan kegiatan akademik yang ditujukan pada cara-cara belajar mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan dan meningkatkan tenaga kerja yang berkualitas. Selama penulis melakukan kerja praktek di Badan Narkotika Nasional Provinsi Sumatera Utara (BNNP SUMUT), untuk mengantarkan surat menyurat ke Pengadilan Tinggi Negara Bagian Sumatera Utara (KEJATISU) mengalami keterlambatan pengiriman. Maka penulis memberikan masukan untuk mencari rute terpendek menggunakan program dinamis. Pemrograman dinamis adalah tugas metode solusi, membagi solusi menjadi satu set (fase). Penelitian diawali dengan menentukan titik-titik yang akan dilalui dan mencari jarak menggunakan peta Google. setelah didapatkan kemudian dicari jalur terpendek dengan metode program dinamis dan jalur terpendek yang didapatkan dengan metode dinamis adalah BNNP - Stadion Teladan - Samsat Medan Selatan - Kejaksaan Tinggi Sumatera Utara. Total nilai 13,6 km.

Abstract

The use of digital learning resources has become increasingly relevant in mathematics education, particularly through educational YouTube content that offers flexible and visual learning support. However, its relationship with students’ mathematical conceptual understanding and learning autonomy still requires further empirical examination. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the use of educational YouTube content and junior high school students’ mathematical conceptual understanding and learning autonomy. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. The participants were 30 seventh-grade students of SMP IT Nurul Fadhilah, selected through simple random sampling from a population of 88 students. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire to measure the use of educational YouTube content and learning autonomy, and a written test to measure mathematical conceptual understanding. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, and Pearson product-moment correlation with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed that the use of educational YouTube content had a positive and significant relationship with students’ learning autonomy (R = 0.385; p = 0.039), but it was not significantly related to mathematical conceptual understanding (R = 0.276; p = 0.148). These findings indicate that educational YouTube content is more closely associated with students’ autonomous learning behavior than with their direct conceptual understanding in mathematics.

Abstract

In learning, students are required to understand the concepts of problems and visualize the objects of mathematical learning discussions. However, in reality, students face difficulties in understanding and visualizing the objects discussed; learning media can help solve the problems faced by students so that the learning process is no longer conventional, which causes students to be passive. This research aims to determine whether there is an effect of GeoGebra learning media on the Discovery Learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This research uses a quasi-experimental quantitative method that tests the cause and effect between variables. The study was conducted in class XI MIA MAL UINSU as the population, with sampling carried out by randomizing classes. The sample for this study consisted of students from class XI MIA 1 as the control class and XI MIA 2 as the experimental class. Each class consists of 39 students. The instrument used is a mathematical concept understanding ability test in the form of an essay, consisting of a pretest and a posttest. The data collected were then tested using a t-test. Based on the t-test calculations with α= 0.05, the significance value obtained is 0.000, thus 0.000 < 0.05. It can be concluded that GeoGebra learning media has an effect on the Discovery Learning model on students' concept understanding. The research results regarding the impact of learning media on students' concept understanding indicate that teachers can implement this learning media in their teaching.

Abstract

This study explores ethnomathematics embedded in the forms and motifs of the Payung Mesikhat, a cultural symbol of the Alas Indigenous community in Darul Amin Village, Southeast Aceh Regency. A qualitative approach with an ethnographic method was employed to uncover the mathematical meanings inherent in the geometric elements of this traditional umbrella. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with cultural figures and artisans, and visual documentation. To analyze the geometric shapes identified, GeoGebra was used as a tool for visualization and mathematical representation. The findings reveal that the Payung Mesikhat embodies various mathematical concepts, such as reflection symmetry, rotation, geometric transformations, patterns, and repetitions, each carrying philosophical significance in the Alas culture. With the aid of GeoGebra, these concepts can be represented visually and interactively, thereby supporting contextual mathematics learning based on local culture. This study is expected to enrich locally grounded mathematics teaching materials and strengthen cultural preservation through educational approaches.
