Abstract

Inflation is a general and continuous tendency to increase the price of goods. Factors causing inflation include increases in fuel prices and money supply. The general impact of inflation is a decrease in domestic investment, an increase in interest rates, encouraging investment through speculation, failure to develop, economic instability, a balance of payments deficit, and lowering the standard of living and welfare of the community.The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of fuel prices and the amount of money in circulation on inflation in the city of Medan. The model used is the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ADL) Model. If the variables in the ADL model, both the dependent variable and the independent variable have a unit root, usually performed stasionary test. The ADL model as-sumes stationary data even if the dependent and independent variables are nei-ther stationary or cointegrated. The test results indicate that there is no cointe-gration between the variables, and the model produced indicates that the varia-bles affecting the price of fuel and the availability of money have a considerable impact on inflation, with a coefficient of determination of 71,4% and a MAPE value of 15,64%, making it suitable for making predictions.

Abstract

Food security is a condition where food is fulfilled for a household which is reflected in the availability of sufficient food both in terms of quantity and quality, safe, and equitable and affordable. In Government Regulation No. 38 of 2007 Food security has become a basic prerequisite that must be owned by autonomous regions where food security is a mandatory matter for the central, provincial, and district / city governments. To measure the food security of a region, the Government makes an indicator in looking at the achievement of food security of a region. This indicator is the Food Security Index. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct an analysis to model factors related to food security through the Food Security Index to see how much these factors contribute to the ups and downs of the Food Security Index. One statistical method that can explain the relationship between predictor variables and response variables is spline nonparametric regression analysis. Spline is an approach towards matching data while taking into account the smoothness of curves. Splines have the advantage of overcoming data patterns that show sharp rises / downs with the help of knot points, and the resulting curve is relatively smooth. The research objective of this study was to determine the modeling of the Food Security Index in North Sumatra using the Multivariable Spline Regression Method. Based on the analysis that has been done, a spline regression model for the Food Security Index in North Sumatra was obtained at three knot points with a minimum GCV value of 27.39 and R^2 is 92.76%.

Abstract

Direct Cash Assistance (DCA) can be understood as giving a sum of money (cash) to the poor through a village fund budget issued by the government. The DCA Program for Target Households (PTH) in its implementation must directly touch and provide direct benefits to the poor (which are categorized as PTH), encourage shared social responsibility and be able to foster public trust in the government in really paying attention to PTH. The Naive Bayes classifier is a classification method that can be used in the distribution of Direct Cash Assistance (DCA) by the Family Hope Program (FHP). The data used in this study were obtained from the East Sei Kepayang sub-district and the Asahan District Social Service. The data taken is only data obtained in 2022 and in branches sourced from the village fund budget issued by the government. The results showed that based on predetermined test data, the probability of "yes" assistance was 0.0066650391 while the probability of "no" assistance was 0, so that the results of the classification "yes" for this data were obtained.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 24 Medan. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah dengan menggunakan pendekatan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching And Learning. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen (Eksperimen Semu). Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 24 Medan, dengan jumlah sampel 30 siswa kelompok eksperimen dan 30 siswa kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan kelas yang sudah ada (Sampling purposive). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan tes yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa adalah dengan menggunakan tes berbentuk uraian. Adapun hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching And Learning terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji hipotesis dengan “uji t” yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai T-hitung = 5.9930 dan T-tabel= 2.00172 maka dapat dikatakan bahwa T-hitung > T-tabelmaka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching And Learning terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa di SMP Negeri 24 Medan. ABSTRACK This research was motivated by the low ability to understand mathematical concepts of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 24 Medan. One solution to overcome this problem is to use the Contextual Teaching And Learning learning model approach. This research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental type of research (Quasi Experiment). The population was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 24 Medan, with a sample size of 30 students in the experimental group and 30 students in the control group. The sampling technique used in this research was based on existing classes (purposive sampling). The data collection technique used in this research is a test that is used to determine students' ability to understand mathematical concepts by using a test in the form of a description. The research results obtained show that there is an influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts. This is proven by the results of hypothesis testing with the "t test" which shows that the value of t-count = 5.9930 and t-tabel = 2.00172, so it can be said that t-coun t > t-table then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So from these results it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Contextual Teaching And Learning learning model on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts at SMP Negeri 24 Medan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan realistic mathematic education (RME) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kecemasan matematika pada siswa kelas VIII SMP. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan metode quasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen tes berupa soal uraian dan non tes berupa angket. Hasil penelitian adanya pengaruh realistic mathematic education terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah berdasarkan R Square adalah 21% dan besarnya pengaruh realistic mathematic education terhadap tingkat kecemasan matematika siswa adalah 31,4%. menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan realistic mathematic education lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of realistic mathematic education (RME) approach on problem solving ability and mathematics anxiety in class VIII junior high school students. This research was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan. This research is an experimental research with quasi experimental method with quantitative approach. Data were collected through test instruments in the form of description questions and non-tests in the form of questionnaires. The results showed that the influence of realistic mathematic education on problem solving ability based on R Square is 21% and the magnitude of the influence of realistic mathematic education on students' math anxiety level is 31.4%. shows that the problem solving ability of students taught using realistic mathematic education approach is higher than students taught using conventional learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using the MEA learning model on improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The MEA learning model is a model that teachers can use to improve students' problem-solving abilities. This research is meta-analytic, namely by collecting data from previous researchers and then finding the effect size of all the data that has been obtained. Many of the data points found that match this research have met the criteria when searched using Google Scholar with the specified keywords. This research analysis tool uses SPSS software version 29.0 and uses the Cohen formula in data analysis. The finding of the effect size of the entire data is 1.431, which is categorized as having a considerable influence. Based on moderator variable analysis, the number of samples with  showed a larger effect size than . Furthermore, based on the level of education of junior high school students, it has an effect size that is categorized as having a large influence. This meta-analysis study shows that using the MEA learning model affects students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the many problems that often arise during learning in the classroom, especially mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine how the description of students' abilities and problems in learning mathematics about relations and functions is taught using problem-based learning models and conventional learning models. With a post-test-only control group design, this research is quasi-experimental. Based on the results of data analysis obtained sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that Problem Based Learning and conventional learning produce significantly different levels of mathematical literacy. The practical implication of this study is that educational practitioners, particularly mathematics teachers at the junior high school level, can utilize these findings to improve their teaching. PBL can be used as a basis for designing more innovative and student-centered learning units, which can help students develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and improve their ability to solve problems. Adequate support and training for teachers in implementing PBL is also important to ensure its successful implementation in the classroom.

Abstract

Tanaman kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) merupakan komoditas perkebunan strategis yang memberikan kontribusi ekonomi besar per hektar secara global. Peningkatan kebutuhan dunia akan minyak sawit menuntut strategi produksi yang efektif, salah satunya melalui pemilihan bibit unggul. Pemilihan bibit yang tepat menjadi faktor penting dalam mendukung produktivitas dan keberhasilan budidaya. Beberapa jenis bibit unggul yang umum digunakan oleh petani antara lain Dumpy, Yangambi, SP540, dan DxP 540 NG. Untuk mempermudah proses pengambilan keputusan dalam pemilihan bibit terbaik, penelitian ini menerapkan metode MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization by Ratio Analysis), sebuah metode pengambilan keputusan multikriteria yang sederhana, fleksibel, dan efektif dalam menangani banyak kriteria secara simultan. Penelitian ini menggunakan delapan kriteria evaluasi bibit kelapa sawit dengan lima alternatif jenis bibit. Setiap kriteria diberi bobot berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan ahli, kemudian dinormalisasi dan dihitung nilai preferensinya (Yi) untuk menentukan peringkat. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa bibit terbaik adalah DxP 540 NG dengan nilai Yi sebesar 0,426, diikuti oleh turunan SP540 (0,357), turunan Yangambi (0,320), DxP Langkat (0,315), dan DyP Sungai Pancur I (Dumpy) (0,315). Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa metode MOORA dapat digunakan sebagai sistem pendukung keputusan yang membantu petani dalam memilih bibit sawit terbaik secara objektif dan sistematis. Pendekatan ini juga dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut dalam konteks pengambilan keputusan pertanian lainnya yang melibatkan banyak kriteria.

Abstract

In learning, students are required to understand the concepts of problems and visualize the objects of mathematical learning discussions. However, in reality, students face difficulties in understanding and visualizing the objects discussed; learning media can help solve the problems faced by students so that the learning process is no longer conventional, which causes students to be passive. This research aims to determine whether there is an effect of GeoGebra learning media on the Discovery Learning model on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This research uses a quasi-experimental quantitative method that tests the cause and effect between variables. The study was conducted in class XI MIA MAL UINSU as the population, with sampling carried out by randomizing classes. The sample for this study consisted of students from class XI MIA 1 as the control class and XI MIA 2 as the experimental class. Each class consists of 39 students. The instrument used is a mathematical concept understanding ability test in the form of an essay, consisting of a pretest and a posttest. The data collected were then tested using a t-test. Based on the t-test calculations with α= 0.05, the significance value obtained is 0.000, thus 0.000 < 0.05. It can be concluded that GeoGebra learning media has an effect on the Discovery Learning model on students' concept understanding. The research results regarding the impact of learning media on students' concept understanding indicate that teachers can implement this learning media in their teaching.

Abstract

This study explores ethnomathematics embedded in the forms and motifs of the Payung Mesikhat, a cultural symbol of the Alas Indigenous community in Darul Amin Village, Southeast Aceh Regency. A qualitative approach with an ethnographic method was employed to uncover the mathematical meanings inherent in the geometric elements of this traditional umbrella. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with cultural figures and artisans, and visual documentation. To analyze the geometric shapes identified, GeoGebra was used as a tool for visualization and mathematical representation. The findings reveal that the Payung Mesikhat embodies various mathematical concepts, such as reflection symmetry, rotation, geometric transformations, patterns, and repetitions, each carrying philosophical significance in the Alas culture. With the aid of GeoGebra, these concepts can be represented visually and interactively, thereby supporting contextual mathematics learning based on local culture. This study is expected to enrich locally grounded mathematics teaching materials and strengthen cultural preservation through educational approaches.
