Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran komunikasi digital dalam pemberdayaan Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) melalui teknologi smart farming. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi literatur, penelitian ini mengacu pada Teori Difusi Inovasi Rogers untuk memahami proses adopsi teknologi oleh KWT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adopsi smart farming mengikuti lima tahap utama: pengetahuan, persuasi, keputusan, implementasi, dan konfirmasi. Komunikasi digital memainkan peran penting dalam setiap tahap, mulai dari peningkatan pemahaman hingga evaluasi teknologi. Faktor utama yang mempengaruhi adopsi meliputi kemudahan penggunaan, manfaat yang dirasakan, dan bukti hasil yang jelas. Keberhasilan implementasi didukung oleh pelatihan digital yang berkelanjutan dan akses kepada dukungan teknis. Umpan balik pada tahap konfirmasi semakin memperkuat keberlanjutan penggunaan teknologi. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya komunikasi digital dalam memfasilitasi adopsi teknologi Smart Farming di kalangan KWT.

Abstract

Meeting nutritional needs is crucial for developing quality human resources, while food security depends on production capacity, purchasing power, and supply chain factors, influenced by socio-economic and ecological conditions. The research aimed to analyze the total income of farmer households, analyze the consumption expenditure of farmer households, and analyze the factors that influence the availability of rice for households of lowland rice farmers in Kertapati District, Palembang City. The research method used was a survey method. This research was carried out in July 2024 with a total of 50 samples selected simply at random.  The data processing method used to answer the first and second objectives is mathematical calculations to calculate rice farming income, non-rice farming income and non-farming income, as well as calculating food and non-food consumption expenditure. Meanwhile, to answer the third objective, multiple linear regression analysis was used. The results of this research showed that: 1) The average total household income of Lebak rice farmers was 4,457,241 IDR/month. 2) household food consumption expenditure for Lebak rice farmers was 2,674,626 IDR/month, while non-food consumption expenditure was 1,594,396,- IDR/month. 3). The availability of rice for lowland rice farmers' households is 2.65 kg/month, which was included in the low criteria.  Factors that influence the availability of rice for Lebak rice farming households were land area, income and age of the farmer. Land area and income has a positive effect, while farmer age has a negative effect.

Abstract

AbstrakSebuah respon dapat diartikan sebagai reaksi terhadap pengamatan suatu objek. Dalam konteks ini, respon perempuan tani mencerminkan persepsi dan perilaku mereka, meliputi pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan dalam menanggapi peran penyuluh pertanian. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mendeskripsikan respon wanita tani terhadap program penyuluhan pertanian P2L di Palembang. Studi deskriptif kuantitatif ini dilakukan di Dinas Ketahanan Pangan dan Pertanian serta Balai Penyuluhan Pertanian (BPP) di empat kecamatan Palembang, dengan pengumpulan data pada Juni-Juli 2024. Data primer dan sekunder diperoleh dari subjek yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respon wanita tani yang dianalisis melalui aspek pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan, mengalami peningkatan signifikan setelah mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan dalam program P2L, sehingga mereka kini mampu melakukan kegiatan budidaya tanaman hortikultura secara mandiri mulai dari penyemaian samapai panen, mengatasi kendala selama budidaya, serta memanfaatan lahan pekarangan secara optimal.Kata kunci: Wanita tani, pekarangan pangan lestari, respon.AbstractA response can be interpreted as a reaction to the observation of an object. In this context, farm women's responses reflect their perceptions and behaviors, including knowledge, attitudes, and skills in responding to the role of agricultural extension workers. This study was conducted to describe farm women's responses to the P2L agricultural extension program in Palembang. This descriptive quantitative study was conducted at the Food Security and Agriculture Office and Agricultural Extension Centers (AEC) in four sub-districts of Palembang, with data collection in June-July 2024. Primary and secondary data were obtained from subjects selected through purposive sampling, then analyzed using the Likert Scale. The results showed that the responses of farm women, which were analyzed through aspects of knowledge, attitudes, and skills, experienced a significant increase after participating in extension activities in the P2L program, so that they are now able to carry out horticultural cultivation activities independently from seeding to harvesting, overcoming obstacles during cultivation, and making optimal use of yard land.Keywords: Farm women, response, sustainable food yard.

Abstract

Community service activities in Putak Village aim to educate and empower farmers and housewives in utilizing plastic bottle waste as a medium for planting hydroboks technology for vegetable crops through a simple hydroponic system (NFT). This program is carried out for five months through the stages of field surveys, counseling, technical training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results of the activity show the effectiveness of the use of plastic waste as an environmentally friendly and sustainable planting medium, helping to reduce the pile of plastic waste while providing urban farming solutions in narrow yards. This training successfully improved the community's knowledge and technical skills about hydrobacca systems, which is evident from the enthusiasm of the participants and their success in growing vegetables independently. In addition, this program has a positive impact on the economy by reducing spending on purchasing vegetables and supporting the consumption of pesticide-free fresh food. The environmental impact is also seen through increasing public awareness in managing plastic waste based on the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) principle. The success of this program can be increased through continuous education, such as seminars, plastic waste management innovation competitions, and the creation of educational materials in the form of videos and posters to reach more bans.

Abstract

The P2L program was a program initiated by the Food Security Agency (BKP) as an effort to expand the number of beneficiaries from homestead land. The objectives of this research are: 1) Measuring the level of participation of women farmers in implementing the Budikdamber P2L program, 2) Measuring the level of success of women farmers in implementing the Budikdamber P2L program, 3) Analyzing the relationship between the level of participation and success of women farmers in implementing the Budikdamber P2L program. This research was carried out in Tegal Rejo Village, Lawang Kidul District, Muara Enim Regency in December 2023. The research method used was a survey method. The data used were primary and secondary data. The results of this research were: 1) The level of participation of women farmers in implementing the Budikdamber program for Sustainable Food Farms (P2L) in Tegal Rejo Village as a whole is included in the high criteria where women farmers who are members of the Tegal Serasan women farmer group (KWT) participate actively in implementing Budikdamber starting from the collection stage decisions, implementation, benefits and evaluation. 2) The level of success of women farmers in implementing the Budikdamber Sustainable Food Farm (P2L) program in Tegal Rejo Village is included in the high criteria, where KWT Tegal Serasan is successful in implementing Budikdamber seen from production, marketing, price (economic aspects) and community welfare, empowerment society, environmental impact (social aspect). 3) The results of the Spearman test show that there is a significant relationship between the participation and success of women farmers in implementing the Budikdamber P2L program in Tegal Rejo Village, with a strong relationship (0.620).

Abstract

Pekarangan Pangan Lestari Program (P2L) is an activity carried out by community groups in an effort Pekarangan Pangan Lestari to increase food availability for households. The objectives of this research were (1) Measured the level of dynamism of women farmer groups in Pekarangan Pangan Lestari (P2L) program, (2) Measured the level of participation of women farmers in Pekarangan Pangan Lestari (P2L) program, and (3) Analyzed the relationship between the level of group dynamism and the participation of women farmers in Pekarangan Pangan Lestari (P2L) program. This research was carried out in Sako District and Sukamulya District, Palembang City in November 2023 – December 2023. The research method used was the survey method and census method. The data used was primary data and secondary data. Data analyzed used was a likert scale and spearman rank. The results of this research were (1) The level of dynamism of women farmer groups in Pekarangan Pangan Lestari program was classified as high or already dynamic. (2) The level of participation of women farmer group in Pekarangan Pangan Lestari Program in Sako District and Sukamulya District, Palembang City was classified as medium, and (3) The results of the rank-spearman test show that there was a significant relationship between the level of group dynamism and the participation of women farmers in Pekarangan Pangan Lestari program in Sako District and Sukamulya District with a moderate level of correlation, namely 0.471.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmenganalisis peran Gabungan kelompok tani (Gapoktan) dalam menunjang kegiatan usaha tani padi.  Penelitian ini berlokasi di Desa Telang Sari Kecamatan Tanjung Lago Kabupaten Banyuasin.Gapoktan merupakah wadah kolektif petani yang berfungsi memperkuat kelembagaan petani untuk meningkatkan Produksi dan Pendapatan. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Survei dan metode penarikan sampel dengan menggunakan Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah probability sampling Dari 18 (Delapan belas) kelompok tani yang terdiri dari 544 petani. Maka ditentukan besaran sampel di tiap kelompok dapat diambil dengan jumlah Responden sebanyak 85 orang. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Kemudian dianalisis menggunakan tabulasi deskriptif dan analisis korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gapoktan di Desa Telang Sari memiliki peran penting sebagai unit usahatani, Unit Usaha Pengolahan, Unit Sarana dan Prasarana, Unit Pemasaran dan Unit Keuangan Mikro termasuk dalam kategori sedang. Namun masih terdapat kendala seperti Pengolahan hasil dan Pengembangan Produk Olahan yang tergolong dalam kategori rendah. Peran Gapoktan memiliki korelasi positif dan signifikan dengan produksi (Rs = 0,43) dan pendapatan (Rs = 0,469). Terdapat korelasi positif dan signifikan yang kuat antara produksi dan pendapatan, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar Rs = 0,685

Abstract

Communication has an important role in supporting the process of education and learning. To make the learning material well transformed for santri (students), an appropriate and effective communication strategy is needed. Thus, this study analyzes communication strategies in empowering entrepreneurship at Pesantren Asshiddiqiyah 2, Tangerang. This is a qualitative study and uses a case study method. Its data was collected by case studies, in-depth interviews and literature studies. Its results reveal that ustadz (teachers) in the pesantren (Islamic Boarding Schools) tend to act more as communicators in entrepreneurship learning. The message packaging strategy, which includes religious lessons, general lessons, entrepreneurship, and life skills, was delivered in three ways. The first is applying the local content curriculum to the formal learning process, the second is integrating entrepreneurship values with extracurricular activities, and the third is conveying a message of independence and responsibility in daily life within the pesantren environment. Meanwhile, the channels used is face-to-face communication and the media. The communicants involved were students of Classes 10, 11 and 12. The effects of the communication process contribute to the domains of cognition, affection, and psychomotor.

Abstract

The rapid growth of urbanization and increased health awareness among consumers in Pangkalpinang City have led to a growing interest in hydroponic vegetables. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing consumer purchasing decisions for hydroponic vegetables in Pangkalpinang. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 170 respondents through surveys, focusing on economic social, psychological factors, and marketing stimuli. The research employed Particial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling analysis to identify significant predictors of purchasing decisions. The direct effects analysis indicates that perception (p-value = 0.004), attitude (p-value = 0.001), product quality (p-value = 0.000), and income (p-value = 0.000) significantly influence purchasing decisions, while motivation (p-value = 0.464) and price (p-value = 0.644) do not have a significant effect. The indirect effects analysis shows that price influences purchasing decisions through perception (p-value = 0.000) but not through motivation (p-value = 0.567). Similarly, product quality impacts purchasing decisions through perception (p-value = 0.006), while its indirect effect through motivation is insignificant (p-value = 0.425). These findings suggest that product quality and consumer perception play crucial roles, while price exerts an indirect influence to purchasing decision. This research provides essential insights for hydroponic entrepreneurs, emphasizing the importance of enhancing product quality and consumer perception to improve market strategies.

Abstract

Institutional empowerment will push the improvement of farmer productivity which can affect the well-being of farmer life. The purpose of this article is to determine the role of institutions in the development of the Center for Agricultural Development Information in rural and the efforts that can be made to create synergy between institutions and PIPP. This paper uses a literature review by looking for relevant references according to existing problems. The data has been obtained are then analyzed using descriptive analysis methods. The results and discussion show that some of the institutions involved in the Agricultural Development Information Center (PIPP) are, universities, local governments, opinion leaders, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), farmer organizations (extension agents, farmer contacts, farmer group associations, (Gapoktan) and farmer groups). Empowering farmers through common perceptions and alignment of goals, strengthening institutions for the continuity and sustainability of resources and structuring institutional capacity, improving institutional management, improving leadership patterns, and transparency.
