Abstract

This study aims to develop a conceptual model that integrates the principles of good governance with the values of Qur’anic leadership in the effort to transform the quality of Islamic education. In the context of globalization challenges and the crisis of educational leadership, this concept is expected to serve as both a normative and applicative strategy to strengthen the governance of Islamic educational institutions with an emphasis on accountability, participation, and justice. A qualitative-conceptual approach is employed, utilizing literature review on good governance theory, Qur’anic verses on leadership, and contemporary Islamic education literature. The findings indicate that such integration can provide a model of educational leadership that is not only efficient in managerial terms but also deeply rooted in Islamic spiritual and moral values. This study offers a new insight: the principles of good governance can be rearticulated through Qur’anic values, resulting in an educational governance framework that is both systemically effective and grounded in strong moral and spiritual foundations. Practical recommendations include strengthening the leadership capacity of school principals, embedding Qur’anic values in school governance, and implementing value-based management training. This research is limited to a conceptual study without empirical testing. Therefore, future research is recommended to validate the model through field studies across various levels of Islamic educational institutions and to develop integrative-based quality evaluation instruments.

Abstract

Super-resolution (SR) has been used in the realm of remote sensing to improve the resolution of an image and get more detailed spatial information than the original image captured by the sensor on the acquisition device. Several SR methods with different approaches, only focusing on sharpening the edges and forgetting non-edge areas. One of the SR methods that utilize prior gradients, can produce high resolution (HR) images in a short time and produce sharp images for non-homogeneous areas. But for areas that tend to be homogeneous, a lot of noise appears. This problem will affect the remote sensing process due to the amount of noise that arises. This paper offers to use dynamic weighting on the gradient prior that will reduce the noise on the homogeneous area, while still able to maintains to produce the sharp edges in non-homogeneous areas. An experimental comparison is conducted on both homogeneous and non-homogeneous area using the previous method and the proposed method.

Abstract

Introduction: Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is an acute bleeding in the subarachnoid space. The mortality rate of SAH is quite high and survivors will experience limitations in activity daily living. Identification and factors that affect SAH are needed to improve patient outcomes. Aim: to identify the factors that affect the mortality of SAH Methods: This study was an observational study with a prospective cohort approach regarding the factors that affect the outcome of subarachnoid hemorrhagic patients in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang from January 2021 to July 2022. Results: From 62 subjects, the patients were 55.35 (SD ± 12.4) years old in average, most of them were female (67.7%). About 87.1% of patients had GCS> 8 (mean 11.68, SD ± 3.273). There were 82.3% of patients with mild-moderate NIHSS (mean 11.68; SD ± 3.273). The mortality rate was 37.1% (n = 23) with associated factors such as onset of admission (p = 0.044, GCS on admission (p= 0.003), severity of stroke (NIHSS) (p = 0.013), SAH severity (Hunt and Hess scale) (p=0.00), modified fisher scale (p=0.000), and coiling (p=0.001).The factor that most influenced the outcome was modified Fisher 3-4 (OR= 12,426, CI95% = 2,239 – 68,953) and non-coiling (OR: 12,2278, CI95% = 1,716 – 87,838). Discussion: There was a significant correlation between admission onset, GCS on admission, stroke severity (NIHSS score), modified Fisher scale, SAH severity (Hunt and Hess scale), and coiling, with the mortality of subarachnoid hemorrhage. Modified fisher scale and non-coiling were the most dominant factors that affected the mortality rate. Keywords: SAH, mortality, outcome

Abstract

Background: This study explores the integration of eco-Sufism into Islamic education at the elementary level as a strategic response to contemporary environmental crises and moral decline. Eco-Sufism, which blends spiritual values rooted in Sufism with ecological consciousness, offers a holistic framework to enhance Islamic education by fostering character development and environmental responsibility. This research aims to analyze how Sufi values—categorized into ethical, practical, and philosophical dimensions can be effectively incorporated into elementary-level Islamic education to shape students who are spiritually grounded and ecologically aware. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using thematic analysis, supported by library research. Literature on Islamic education, eco-Sufism, and relevant Qur'anic concepts such as ulul albab was reviewed and interpreted to develop an integrative educational model. The results indicate that Sufi-based education significantly contributes to students' moral and spiritual growth while promoting sustainable environmental behavior. Values such as zuhud (asceticism), tawakkul (trust in God), and muhasabah (self-reflection) are shown to enhance students' ecological sensitivity and encourage practices aligned with environmental stewardship. Furthermore, eco-pesantren practices, curriculum reforms, and Sufi-inspired pedagogical approaches support a paradigm shift toward integrative, value-based education. However, the study also identifies limitations in previous research, particularly the lack of empirical frameworks to assess the practical implementation of eco-Sufism in schools. This study proposes a contextually relevant model that combines Islamic identity reinforcement with environmental education, aiming to produce an intellectually capable, spiritually mature, and ecologically responsible generation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the development of a Total Quality Management (TQM)-based management model at MTs Darul Amin Palangka Raya through the lived experiences of stakeholders. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research delves into how teachers, administrators, and parents perceive, interpret, and enact TQM within an Islamic educational framework. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 15 informants, participatory observation, and documentation analysis over six months, with attention to the essence of their subjective experiences. The findings reveal that the implementation of the TQM model at MTs Darul Amin Palangka Raya is influenced by five key dimensions: transformative leadership, stakeholder engagement, continuous improvement, data-driven decision making, and integration of Islamic values in management. Participants described these dimensions not merely as managerial tools but as meaningful practices tied to Islamic concepts like amanah (trustworthiness) and itqan (excellence). Challenges such as resistance to change and resource limitations emerged as shared lived realities among stakeholders. The study culminates in an "Integrated Islamic Quality Management Model" (IIQMM), which reflects how TQM is experienced and contextualized in the madrasah environment. This research contributes to Islamic education management by uncovering the intersubjective meanings of TQM implementation, offering a model that harmonizes modern quality principles with Islamic values. The phenomenological lens highlights how stakeholders co-construct quality as both an organizational and spiritual endeavor.

Abstract

This study departs from findings that show that the turnover rate of employees at PT. Apparel One Indonesia in 2018 is 3.715% which exceeds the threshold set by the company by 2% each year, and the findings that the variables that explain the phenomenon of turnover intention are still different which then leads to the formulation of the problem regarding "how to reduce turnover". Based on these problems, this study developed a research model that was empirically tested to re-explain the variables that could affect turnover intention by using data obtained from interviews using a questionnaire to PT. Apparel One Indonesia's employees. The test was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. The test results showed that work stress and family conflict had a significant adverse effect on organizational commitment. This study also shows that work stress and work-family conflict had a significant positive effect on turnover intention. In contrast, organizational commitment had a significant negative effect on turnover intention.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIntroduction: Root canal treatment (RCT) of mandibular third molars is often considered challenging due to anatomical variability, limited accessibility, and difficulty achieving proper isolation. As a result, extraction is frequently chosen. This case report outlines a successful single-visit RCT on a right mandibular third molar with a curved canal and Class II disto-occlusal caries. Case Report: A 30-year-old female presented with a large cavity on her right lower molar and requested a restorative treatment. Three weeks earlier, devitalization and temporary restoration had been performed by another dentist. Clinical examination revealed no periapical lesion, and percussion testing was negative. Radiographic analysis showed a slight curvature in the distal canal. A pre-curved K-File and the One Curve System were used for instrumentation. The canal was obturated in a single visit, followed by restoration using direct composite and short fiber-reinforced composite. Matrix and PTFE tape were utilized for proper adaptation in the distal area. Conclusion: With accurate diagnosis, understanding of anatomical complexity, and appropriate technique, single-visit RCT on mandibular third molars is achievable. This case supports the viability of conservative treatment for necrotic third molars with asymptomatic apical periodontitis, avoiding unnecessary extraction. Keywords single visit, root canal treatment, third lower molar, curved canal, composite restoration.

Abstract

Background - Digital transformation has become a strategic approach to improving public service performance, including in law enforcement institutions. The e-Mental application was introduced as part of digital innovation to enhance both the performance and mental health of police officers. However, the direct impact of digital transformation on service quality, particularly when considering internal psychological readiness, remains underexplored. Research Urgency - Given the growing demands for responsive public services and increasing work-related stress among officers, understanding how digital initiatives contribute to service quality and how mental health interacts with these effects is crucial for sustainable innovation. Research Objectives - This study aims to analyze the influence of digital transformation via the e-Mental application on the quality of police services, with mental health as a moderating factor. It also seeks to examine the effect of digital transformation on officers' mental health and how this moderates the relationship with service quality. Research Method - The research was conducted at the Police Resort (Polres) of Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi. It involved 205 police officers across nine sectoral police stations (Polsek) as respondents for digital transformation and mental health variables, and 205 community members as evaluators of service quality. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with an interaction term. Research Findings - Digital transformation significantly improves both mental health (t = 6.250, p < 0.001) and service quality (t = 7.878, p < 0.001). However, mental health significantly moderates this relationship, weakening the effect of digital transformation on service quality (B = -0.019, t = -3.890, p < 0.001). Research Conclusion - Digital transformation alone is insufficient for improving service quality without psychological readiness and institutional support. Research Contribution - This study highlights the importance of integrating psychological well-being into digital innovation strategies, particularly in public service sectors like the police. Key words: Digital transformation, e-Mental app, mental health, Service quality.
