Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengulas lebih lanjut tentang bagaimana bentuk, proses, analisa program serta hasil terhadap peningkatan literasi anak pada kerjasama antara Perpustakaan Pustakalana dengan IKEA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pendekatan dalam bentuk deskriptif serta melalui kajian literatur. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini melibatkan proses analisis yang teliti, yang mengikuti langkah-langkah berikut yaitu dengan melakukan observasi yang selanjutnya dilakukan dengan wawancara juga mencakup studi literatur dari berbagai sumber seperti artikel, jurnal, makalah, skripsi, buku, peraturan pemerintah, serta situs web resmi Perpustakaan Pustakalana. Google Cendekia juga digunakan sebagai sumber utama. Secara keseluruhan, kerjasama antara Perpustakaan Pustakalana dan IKEA telah memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan literasi anak-anak di Kota Bandung. Program-program ini membantu anak-anak mengembangkan kemampuan membaca, berpikir kritis, berimajinasi, dan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan literasi. Oleh karena itu, kerjasama ini telah berhasil mencapai tujuan awalnya dalam meningkatkan literasi anak-anak dan menciptakan dampak positif pada masyarakat. Namun, dalam mengukur keberhasilan program-program literasi, perlu juga mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi literasi anak-anak.

Abstract

The Geological Museum plays a vital role in preserving and disseminating geological knowledge to the public. Collaboration with the ULBI Vocational School in developing digital modeling for geological collection data management provides significant benefits, such as increased collection management efficiency, more systematic data organization, and safer preservation of collections. This digitization process minimizes physical contact with the collections, helping to preserve valuable geological artifacts. Challenges in this collaboration include rapid technological advancements and differences in perception between the museum and the vocational school. Through effective communication and regular staff training, this collaboration is expected to strengthen information management and improve public services at the Geological Museum. Museum Geologi memiliki peran vital dalam melestarikan dan menyebarluaskan pengetahuan geologi kepada masyarakat. Kerja sama dengan Sekolah Vokasi ULBI dalam mengembangkan pemodelan digital pengelolaan data koleksi geologi memberikan banyak manfaat signifikan, seperti peningkatan efisiensi manajemen koleksi, penyusunan data yang lebih sistematis, dan pemeliharaan koleksi dengan lebih aman. Proses digitalisasi ini meminimalkan kontak fisik terhadap koleksi, sehingga membantu melestarikan artefak geologi yang berharga. Tantangan yang dihadapi dalam kerja sama ini meliputi perkembangan teknologi yang cepat dan perbedaan persepsi antara pihak museum dan pihak sekolah vokasi. Melalui komunikasi yang baik dan pelatihan rutin bagi staf museum, kerja sama ini diharapkan mampu memperkuat pengelolaan informasi dan meningkatkan pelayanan publik di Museum Geologi.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest blue carbon ecosystems in the world. This is due to its long coastline and vast marine areas. Indonesia has the largest mangrove forests in the world, covering approximately 3.3 million hectares, spread across the coasts of Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Papua, and Java. The method used in this research is bibliometric analysis, a quantitative approach to analyzing scientific literature to identify publication patterns, research trends, scientific impact, author collaborations, and relationships between scholarly works. Based on the results, it was found that among the 10 most productive authors, Murdiyanto is the most productive, with 13 publications. In terms of institutional affiliation, authors come from institutions such as Bogor Agricultural University, the National Research Agency, and the Center for International Forestry Research. Bibliometric mapping using Vos-viewer, through co-occurrence analysis for network, overlay, and density visualization, shows that topics related to blue carbon and mangroves, such as organic carbon, carbon storage, carbon emissions, and mangroves, were trending between 2021 and 2024. However, these topics as a whole have not been widely researched.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas informasi ChatGPT terhadap kebutuhan akademik mahasiswa di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Bandung. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari meningkatnya penggunaan ChatGPT oleh mahasiswa sebagai sumber informasi akademik, namun masih terdapat kekhawatiran mengenai kualitas informasi yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini penting untuk mengetahui apakah ChatGPT benar-benar mampu memenuhi kebutuhan akademik mahasiswa secara efektif. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Teknik pengambilan data dilakukan melalui survei daring menggunakan kuesioner berbasis skala Likert kepada 208 mahasiswa yang dipilih dengan teknik two-stage cluster sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji deskriptif, uji prasyarat analisis (normalitas, multikolinieritas, dan heteroskedastisitas), serta analisis regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keempat dimensi kualitas informasi (relevansi, akurasi, ketepatan waktu, dan kelengkapan) secara parsial maupun simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kebutuhan akademik mahasiswa, dengan nilai R Square sebesar 47,8%. Kesimpulannya, semakin tinggi kualitas informasi yang disediakan oleh ChatGPT, maka semakin tinggi pula pemenuhan kebutuhan akademik mahasiswa. Kelengkapan informasi menjadi faktor yang paling dominan dalam mempengaruhi kebutuhan akademik mahasiswa.

Abstract

This research aims to develop the library collection according to the needs of the community to empower the community in information management. This research uses the Participatory Action Research method, which involves four research stages to identify the information needs of the village community. The stages are 1) Planning, 2) Action, 3) Observation, 4) Reflection. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature review. The research results show that at the planning stage, the people of Kadujaya village want an information centre in the form of a village library. Based on the discussion results, the researchers conducted an information mapping to determine the types of collections needed. The action stage was then carried out by procuring library collections through purchases and submitting proposals to relevant institutions, such as the National Library, BRIN, Taman Baca Arcamanik, and individuals. At the observation and reflection stage, the researchers found that the collection of the Kadujaya village library needs further development to ensure the diversity of information accessible to the community. The results of this study indicate that the development of the village library collection must be adjusted to the dynamics and evolving information needs of the community.

Abstract

Reading activities can reach an optimal level if individuals have a high interest in reading. iPusnas is one of the media that can increase public reading interest. This study aimed to determine the correlation between public reading interest and the iPusnas National Library of the Republic of Indonesia by analyzing academic needs, professional needs, improved welfare, and increased income. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method on the community of iPusnas users. The sampling technique used was quota sampling with a sample size (n) of 444. The data collection technique used was primary data obtained through online questionnaires filled out by respondents, and literature studies to strengthen the research results. The results of the study indicated that the reading interest of iPusnas users had a relationship pattern with the fulfillment of various needs and user interests through ease of access and the availability of up-to-date collections. In terms of academic needs, professional needs, and improving welfare, the correlation coefficient was moderate. Besides, in the aspect of increasing income, the correlation coefficient figure was below moderate. This showed that the iPusnas application was more effective in supporting educational and professional needs than the income aspect. This study concludes that the iPusnas application is effective in fostering reading interest through the provision of access to relevant and quality information according to the needs and interests of iPusnas users.

Abstract

This article analyzes about women’s information seeking behavior with fashion needs. The aim of the research is to recognize the information seeking behavior of woman for fashion needs, at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of Padjajaran University. The paradigm of this study is post-positivism with a quantitative approach. The method used is correlational with Pearson’s product-moment correlation statistic test. The population of this study are 92 people with accidental sampling technique. The result of this study concludes that the information seeking behavior of women is moderately related with fashion needs. The constantly developing fashion needs requires woman to search for information which will later form an information seeking behavior based on the intensity of media use.

Abstract

In order to build a literate generation that loves books and takes pride in Indonesia's cultural heritage, the Library and Information Science Study Program, Faculty of Communication Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran, is organizing a Community Service Program (PKM) themed “Reading Aloud.” One of the activities of this PKM is the delivery of material on reading aloud for teachers at SDN Lontong Jatigede Sumedang on August 6, 2025. The training session had 30 participants, including teachers from SDN Lontong, lecturers, and students from the Library and Information Science Program. The training material covered the concept, objectives, and benefits of reading aloud, as well as activities related to reading aloud in various contexts and at elementary schools, delivered through interactive lectures. At SDN Lontong, reading aloud activities have already been implemented. However, teachers need to continue providing positive encouragement and giving students ample opportunities to practice, supported by the provision of books that are appealing to students. This training is expected to enhance teachers' knowledge and skills in conducting reading aloud activities during the learning process at school.

Abstract

Kajian terhadap tata kelola pustaka di lingkungan sekolah merupakan suatu ranah yang senantiasa mengalami perubahan dalam lingkup perpustakaan dan sains informasi. Tujuan utama dari studi ini ialah mengulas arah kecenderungan riset terkait manajemen perpustakaan sekolah di seluruh dunia. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kajian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan landasan bibliometrik sebagai metode analisis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pemanfaatan sumber sekunder, yaitu data yang dihimpun dari situs Scopus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Rubina Bhatti dari The Islamia University of Bahawalpur di Pakistan memiliki hasil ilmiah yang signifikan dengan tingkat pengakuan yang tinggi dengan rata-rata 30,00 sitasi per karya ilmiah. Temuan lain juga menemukan bahwa Jurnal Library Philosophy and Practice memiliki jumlah terbanyak artikel tentang manajemen perpustakaan sekolah. Istilah “school libraries”, “libraries”, “school library”, dan “information management” muncul beberapa kali yang menunjukkan beberapa peneliti dalam rentang 10 tahun terakhir memiliki ketertarikan untuk meneliti pada bidang ini.

Abstract

In a nation, libraries serve as centers for the management and preservation of knowledge, representing the intellectual wealth and cultural heritage of the nation. Therefore, library collections, especially rare manuscripts, require special attention due to their historical, cultural, and essential knowledge value. One of the libraries in Indonesia that possesses rare manuscripts is Perpustakaan Pusat Survei Geologi. Perpustakaan Pusat Survei Geologi collaborates with The National Library of Indonesia Perpustakaan Nasional to manage and preserve these rare manuscripts. This research is conducted to conduct an in-depth study of the outcomes and forms of the preservation collaboration of rare manuscripts between Perpustakaan Pusat Survei Geologi and Perpustakaan Nasional, including its processes, benefits, challenges, and its impact on the community or readers, Perpustakaan Pusat Survei Geologi, and Perpustakaan Nasional. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as observation and interviews. The research findings reveal that the preservation collaboration activities between Perpustakaan Pusat Survei Geologi and Perpustakan Nasional are considered to run smoothly. Through this collaborative program, approximately 60 titles of rare manuscripts available at Perpustakaan Pusat Survei Geologi have been successfully digitized. The benefits of this collaboration are evident for both parties, although the impact on users is perceived as not yet having a significant effect.
