Abstract

Pemahaman konsep-konsep matematika, terutama dalam pembelajaran di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Berpikir komputasi tidak hanya melibatkan kemampuan pemrograman, tetapi juga mencakup pemecahan masalah, berpikir logis, dan abstraksi, yang semuanya esensial dalam pendidikan abad ke-21. Meskipun demikian, instrumen penilaian yang dirancang khusus untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir komputasi siswa dalam matematika masih sangat terbatas. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kebutuhan pengembangan tes yang dapat menilai kemampuan berpikir komputasi dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian menggunakan penelitian eksploratif pendekatan kualitatif, di mana wawancara semi-terstruktur dilakukan terhadap guru-guru matematika di beberapa SMA di Yogyakarta. Wawancara ini menggali pemahaman guru mengenai konsep berpikir komputasi, tantangan dalam mengembangkan tes yang relevan, serta kebutuhan akan alat penilaian yang efektif. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa meskipun para guru memahami pentingnya berpikir komputasi dalam pendidikan matematika, pengukuran kemampuan ini belum diintegrasikan secara formal ke dalam penilaian pembelajaran. Guru-guru sepakat bahwa diperlukan pengembangan instrumen penilaian yang lebih terstruktur dan komprehensif, yang tidak hanya mengevaluasi hasil akhir siswa tetapi juga mengukur proses berpikir dan kemampuan mereka dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika secara sistematis. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan instrument penilaian yang dapat mendukung pengajaran matematika berbasis berpikir komputasi di tingkat SMA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar dalam pendidikan anak usia dini dan dampaknya terhadap hasil belajar yaitu berbagai kemampuan fondasional yang didalamnya meliputi nilai agama, nilai pancasila, fisik motorik, kognitif, bahasa, dan sosial-emosional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi bagaimana kurikulum yang fleksibel dan berbasis proyek ini meningkatkan pemahaman serta penerapan nilai-nilai tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tinjauan pustaka dan studi kasus. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum ini menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung kolaborasi dan pengembangan karakter anak, serta meningkatkan keterlibatan orang tua dan kualitas pelatihan bagi guru. Meskipun demikian, terdapat tantangan dalam implementasi, terutama di daerah dengan keterbatasan fasilitas dan pelatihan. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kolaborasi antara sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat untuk memastikan keberhasilan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, sehingga dapat menciptakan pengalaman pendidikan yang lebih inklusif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat kontemporer.

Abstract

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus hit Indonesia, the Work from Home Policy of working, studying, and worshiping at home has been implemented to reduce community activities outside the home. To maintain students’ academic performance in remote lecturing during the COVID-19 Pandemic, it needed a strategy to plan, monitor, and evaluate academic progress. The study aimed to investigate the Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) strategy in remote lecturing. The research design used was a survey method with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study numbered 209 higher university students by using the convenience sampling technique. The data collection technique used was the SRL scale developed by Zimmerman. The scale was inputted into Google Form, then distributed online. The Aiken index validity and reliability using Cronbach Alpha showed good validity and high reliability. The data analysis techniques were descriptive statistics, MANOVA and ANOVA. The findings showed that the Self-Control indicator was the most dominant factor among students. Besides, there was no significant difference simultaneously between men and women and inconclusive results related to gender in SRL in the distance lecturing implementation.

Abstract

This study investigates students' misconceptions about linear equations and inequalities of one variable. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected from 160 seventh-grade students in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, through a four-tier diagnostic test. Analysis revealed that 28% of students had misconceptions, categorized into six types. Additionally, 11% showed false positives, 12% false negatives, 44% lacked knowledge, and only 5% had a correct scientific understanding. The identified six types of misconceptions included fundamental algebraic concepts such as variable degree, variable concepts, coefficients, constants, and inequality notation. Students struggled with algorithm use, function generalization, and properties of inequalities, indicating a lack of algebraic thinking. These findings highlight the need for targeted instructional strategies to address students' conceptual misunderstandings and improve their mathematical reasoning.

Abstract

Learning style is a vital component in improving the quality of learning in physics classes. This study identified the learning styles of pharmacy students in learning physics based on Felder Silverman's Learning Style Index (ILS) through a survey of first-year students. ILS Felder Silverman determines the 4 dimensions of learning style preferences, namely processing (active-reflective), perception (sensing-intuitive), input (visual-verbal), and understanding (sequential-global). Questionnaires were distributed using Google Forms in more than three weeks. The collected data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively through the ILS scoring sheet. The results showed that the preference for Active, Sensing, Visual, and Sequential (ASViS) learning styles was owned by pharmacy students in learning physics. ASViS is dominant at a balanced level, successively: Active (39.27%), Sensing (31.94%), Visual (35.08%) and Sequential (44.50%). The implications of this study illustrate the learning of lecturers in physics classes who should apply various methods by actively involving students through experiments, project-based learning and discussions and occasionally reflect in explaining material. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the achievement of basic literacy competencies of primary school students (SD/MI) and identify the factors that have the most influence on literacy completion. This study used a quantitative approach with the discriminant analysis method. The sample consisted of 90 students from grades 1 to 6 in Indramayu district, purposively selected based on variations in Indonesian language scores. The data collection instrument used Tactical Map 2.1 which measured students' abilities in reading, writing, and communication. Data were analyzed using Wilks' Lambda test and discriminant function coefficients to identify the dominant factor in differentiating literacy achievement. The results of the analysis showed the discriminant model was significant (Wilks' Lambda = 0.336; p < 0.001). The ability to write (0.736) and communicate (0.616) were the most dominant factors differentiating the completed and non-completed student groups, followed by reading (0.464). Meanwhile, age (0.047) and gender (0.214) had lower contributions. The findings suggest that strengthening literacy should include productive aspects, not just receptive, and encourage the transformation of holistic learning strategies in primary schools.

Abstract

Pemberian stimulus pada anak usia dini merupakan hal yang krusial guna mendukung proses tumbuh kembang anak. Pemberian stimulus kepada anak dapat dilakukan melalui aktivitas yang menyenangkan, seperti bermain. Namun demikian pemberian stimulus secara tepat dan bervariasi masih jarang dilakukan di rumah. Hal demikian di temukan di lokasi PkM yakni di Lingkungan Kampung Domba, Merauke. Oleh karena itu dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat untuk mengenalkan aktivitas bermain yang masih jarang dilakukan di rumah dan memiliki potensi untuk mendukung tumbuh kembang anak yakni membuat mozaik. Membuat mozaik memiliki manfaat dalam mendukung perkembangan kemampuan motorik maupun kognitif anak serta menjadi media pembelajaran karakter bagi anak usia dini. Kegiatan PkM ini dilakukan dengan metode demonstrasi dan praktek langsung pembuatan mozaik oleh peserta kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi diketahui bahwa anak – anak tidak mengalami kesulitan dan menikmati aktivitas membuat mozaik. Membuat mozaik dapat menjadi alternatif pemberian stimulus untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak
