Abstract

This paper compares local and foreign trendy beverage companies operating in Indonesia, examining their strategies and early-stage performance through an entrepreneurial orientation lens. Using secondary data from credible industry reports and publications, the study evaluates how each type of firm approaches market expansion, builds competitive advantage, and responds to industry challenges. Both local and foreign beverage companies have experienced rapid growth in recent years, yet many continue to report net losses during their initial operational periods. Local brands such as Fore Coffee and Kopi Kenangan benefit from strong cultural alignment and deep insight into Indonesian consumer preferences, enabling them to scale quickly in the domestic market. In contrast, foreign brands like Chagee and Chatime typically pursue international expansion only after achieving stability in their home countries, leveraging standardized global branding strategies to strengthen their overseas presence. By analyzing these strategic differences, the study highlights key entrepreneurial dimensions—innovation, proactiveness, and calculated risk-taking—that shape each company’s trajectory. The findings provide practical insights for emerging beverage enterprises seeking to design effective market-entry and growth strategies within a competitive and evolving industry.

Abstract

The phenomenon of teenage pregnancy has serious health, social, and economic impacts. Globally, 55% of pregnancies among 15-19 year olds result in unsafe abortions, including in Indonesia. Based on interviews with the midwife coordinator, BOK funds are only sufficient to hold classes for 15 pregnant women. There is a disparity between the number of pregnant women and the amount of assistance provided so far. Of the 399 pregnant women, only 18.8% (75 women) can be assisted through classes for pregnant women. The next problem is the low reading interest of mothers in KIA books. With the availability of digital educational media, it is hoped that this can be a solution to the problems occurring at the Duren Posyandu. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge of midwife cadres regarding digital education models that can accommodate more pregnant women by using educational materials that are more interesting to pregnant women. The community service activity was carried out on July 31 - August 1, 2025, with 5 village midwives and 13 cadres participating. The activity began with a pre-test, followed by the community service team delivering the material, and finally a post-test. All participants in the activity experienced an increase in knowledge for 20 points, as evidenced by their post-test scores, which were higher than their pre test scores.

Abstract

Abstract

The use of digital technology in the health sector is becoming increasingly important, especially in improving access to medical services quickly and efficiently. One form of its implementation is online health service applications such as KlikDokter. However, high usage of the application does not guarantee that users are satisfied and that the application is easy to use. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the usability and user experience of the KlikDokter application in Indonesia. This study is a descriptive quantitative study with a cross- sectional approach involving 392 respondents. The majority of respondents were aged 18–25 years (55.1%), had a bachelor’s degree as their highest educational attainment (66.6%), and were employed as private sector workers (48.7%). The usability evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method yielded an average score of 72,75, falling into the ‘Acceptable’ category with a grade of “C” and a rating of ‘Good.’ The user experience evaluation using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) yielded positive scores across all dimensions, with the highest scores in Attractiveness (1.70), Efficiency (1.67), and Dependability (1.69). However, the Novelty aspect received the lowest score (0.5), indicating a lack of innovation in the application's appearance and features. These results indicate that KlikDokter demonstrates adequate usabilitty, but there is still room for improvement to provide a more engaging and innovative experience for users.

Abstract

Central Java Province continues to hold the third-highest MMR in Indonesia as of 2023. Caesarean section births are maternal services associated with rates of maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality. The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing Caesarean section births in the province of Central Java. The 2017 Indonesian Demographic Health Survey (IDHS) provided the data used in this investigation. 1,060 data were gathered after sorting, and total sampling was employed. SPSS was used to analyze the data, utilizing the frequency distribution for univariate analysis and the Pearson Product Moment test for bivariate analysis. Mothers between the ages of 26 and 28 who have two children, have not given birth in the past year, have a middle-class income, have no problems during childbirth, have neither high blood pressure nor low blood pressure, and whose kids are not breech are the data mode based on study data. Every circumstance influences the decision to use a caesarean section as a delivery procedure. The family's financial situation has the biggest impact on the variable of caesarean delivery.

Abstract

Background: In Indonesia, approximately 7.7% of individuals aged 10–17 years live with disabilities, representing a substantial portion of the adolescent population. These adolescents experience puberty similarly to their non-disabled peers but face unique social and cognitive challenges that may influence their sexual behaviour. This study aims to identify the determinants of sexual behaviour among adolescents with hearing and intellectual disabilities. Method: A quantitative, cross-sectional study was conducted at a Public Special Needs School in Semarang City. The study population consisted of 73 students with hearing impairments and 101 students with intellectual disabilities. Based on total sampling and predefined inclusion criteria, 34 adolescents with hearing impairments and 38 with intellectual disabilities were included as participants. Data were collected using validated, closed-ended questionnaires administered with the assistance of teachers. Statistical analyses were performed using Spearman’s rank correlation and the Mann–Whitney U test. Result: Attitudes (p = 0.004), peer influence (p = 0.001), and access to health information (p = 0.015) were significantly associated with sexual behaviour. However, no significant differences in sexual behaviour were found between adolescents with hearing impairments and those with intellectual disabilities. Among adolescents with hearing impairments, peer influence and access to information were the strongest predictors, whereas among those with intellectual disabilities, attitudes and peer roles emerged as the dominant determinants. Conclusion: Sexual behaviour among adolescents with disabilities is influenced by both interpersonal and cognitive factors. School-based programmes that enhance peer support, foster positive attitudes, and improve access to accessible reproductive health information are essential for promoting safer sexual behaviour within this population.
