Abstract

The education system in the Military Academy applies a basic education coursework including the formation of attitudes and behaviors, knowledge and skills, as well as physical skills through the process of teaching, training, and caring. However, in the process of organizing education, it is found that a Military Academy Cadet (Taruna) still conducts behavioral deviations. This is an indication of the weaknesses of the guidance and mentoring management done by the Cadets Regiment in shaping the character of the Cadets using the method of “Among Asuh”. This study aims to describe and analyze the functions in the guidance and caring management of the Cadets; it also intends to find a model of guidance and caring management using “Asah-Asuh” methods to shape the noble characters of the Cadets. This case study used a qualitative approach in line with Yin's theory on a single dimension. Data sources from informants of the staff of the caregivers of the Cadets Regiment, and the Military Academy and the documents. Data analysis techniques with triangulation techniques include tools, sources and social context i.e. data collection, data reduction, display data and verification/conclusions. The findings of the study are the weakness of the planning function which has not been accompanied by a thorough needs analysis of the caregivers of the Cadets Regiment, and there is no standard of caregiver competence in the Military Academy Cadets Regiment.

Abstract

The education of art and culture contributes to the development goals of the Indonesian nation in the form of collective art (integrated art) of the whole art. Concretely, traditional art form in Indonesia can be found in wayang art. Globalization and the development of ICT in the show world now have a negative impact on the lack of interest of the younger generation to recognize the performance of wayang art, especially Solo cultural city. The research on the background of the creation of the Heri Dono puppet legend involves the aspect of the idea (source of ideas) that underlies the artist in the wayang puppets' way of being a new wayang. This research uses qualitative-descriptive approach. The object of research is the process of making and events Wayang Legend show. Sources of research data are informants, places, events, and documentation. Data obtained through observation techniques, interviews, and content analysis to examine existing document study, purposive sampling, and snowball sampling. The validity of the data is tested by triangulation of sources and methods. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis technique. The background of the Wayang Puppet creation Heri Dono stood on the consciousness of presenting himself, turning to tradition, and beginning in the 1980s. Experiencing puppet characters is related to understanding puppet show stories. Heri Dono reaffirms his belief that art is not separated from culture. Underlying his art making, he feels the need to develop the sensitivity to listen to the sounds and music, the sensitivity to motion and the sensitivity of telling. Heri Dono created two series of Legend Puppet: in 1988 "Si Tungkot Tunggal Panaluan" based on the legend of Batak society of North Sumatra and in 1992 "Momotaro" which raised the legend of Japanese society. The Legend Wayang Series uses vernacular as a medium for the disclosure of contemporary art; universal language is used to build communication within the sphere of the modern world, which incorporates the image of cartoons and comics.

Abstract

Kecapi is one of the nation's cultural products that is very popular in almost all communities in Indonesia. As a region that has various types of traditional harp (kecapi), South Sulawesi should be able to maintain the instrument in order to remain exist in the community. The government has made policies on local cultural arts in the form of curriculum by raising the local culture as one of the teaching materials that must be offered to the students. The process of traditional kecapi instruction in South Sulawesi is still using modern methods of music theory as a supporter of traditional kecapi instruction. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the development of kitoka as a form of innovation in order to answer the challenges related to the limitations of traditional string instruments especially in the learning process of music in South Sulawesi. In this research there are two types of data, i.e. primary data obtained from observation and direct interview with informants and secondary data as the supplement of the primary data obtained through literature study and documentation. The data that have been obtained through literature study, observation, interview and documentation are divided into categories and analyzed in order to be able to classify them and relate one class of data and the others. The result of this study is that the kitoka musical instrument is developed through innovation by looking at some weaknesses both in the procurement and the visual design of the traditional kecapi. This is certainly able to solve the problem of teaching kecapi in school without having to leave the traditional harp as a cultural product that must be preserved. Kitoka is part of a traditional harp developed on the basis of the needs of the people especially the popular community as it is today.

Abstract

In modern times, technology is always used in all activities in life including guidance and counseling as part of public services. A public service is a service that is based on customer satisfaction so it is important to pay attention to the achievement level of customer satisfaction. The sample of this research is 115 students of Vocational School (SMK) Semarang City, as recipient of the service. This is a quantitative study employing a Path Analysis technique. The result of normality test of the data indicates that all data are normally distributed, free from heteroscedasticity, and avoiding multicollinearity. This research finds facts about what is desired and needed by the recipients of the services to meet the satisfaction of the service they receive. The result of the T-test shows that partially the service quality gives a significant effect on service satisfaction (0.00 <0.05); the service demand gives no significant effect on service satisfaction (0.601> 0.05); as an intervening variable, the service value has no significant effect on service satisfaction (0.917> 0.05). The F-test result proves that simultaneously the service quality, the service demand, and the service value influence service satisfaction. The conclusion is that service quality, service demand, and service value contribute 99.6% to service satisfaction; the rest is a contribution of variables that are not taken into account in this study. It is recommended that the most important service satisfaction is enhanced through service quality with indicators including tangibility, reliability, responsibility, assurance, and empathy.

Abstract

Training investments and provision of facilities can only mobilize a part of healthcare production machines, and will be successfully drive it if they are fully supported by the local institutions / government and clinical training quality assurance system. In medical education and clinical training, the behaviours and attitudes modeled by professional practitioners are a special mechanisms in which participants will implicitly "learn" various aspects of their professional positions in the future. This study aim is to assess the educational management of a competency-based clinic training of Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (CEONC/PONEK) followed by model simulation and the influence of facilitative supervision as an effort to improve hospital performance. Improving the quality of health services are expected to have significant leverage to reduce morbidity and mortality rates of mothers and neonates in Indonesia. The research was conducted in Dr Kariadi Central Hospital Semarang and Umbu Rara Meha Waingapu General Hospital at East Sumba Regency (East Nusa Tenggara Province) from 2012 to 2016. The research and evaluation conducted only in the process of educational management, so change towards a better state are expected after the intervention. The research was conducted through observational single cohort of pre-posttest design using performance assessment appraisal forms, direct and retrospective assessment which have been prepared for this research, and using primary data taken from the Hospital Management and Information System (SIMRS) database. CEONC skills training with simulation followed by facilitative supervision significantly improves the input and process in both maternal and neonatal hospital service (p < 0.05). Training also has a significant impact on improved team performance (p < 0.05), as well as compliance of health personnel to maternal care standards, although it has not had a significant impact on neonatal health services in both hospitals.
