Abstract

Kemiskinan sebagai masalah kompleks yang dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor yang terdiri dari tingkat pendapatan, kesehatan, pendidikan, akses terhadap barang dan jasa, lokasi, geografis, gender, serta kondisi lingkungan. Kabupaten Bojonegoro berada pada peringkat ke-27 dari 38 kabupaten termiskin di Jawa Timur (Ramadhana, 2024). Dengan jumlah 153.520 jiwa yang telah terdaftar dalam DAMISDA dan perlu untuk dientaskan termasuk wilayah Tambakrejo. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya-upaya untuk  mengentaskan kemiskinan, ditengah kondisi rendahnya pendidikan. Adapun perwujudan dari pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh KKN Tematik Kolaboratif 14 Universitas Bojonegoro dengan meningkatkan keberdayaan perempuan di Desa Tambakrejo. Pemberdayaan perempuan ini diwujudkan melalui pelatihan pembuatan tahu mercon. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini yaitu dapat memberikan keterampilan bagi para perempuan dan peluang tambahan penghasilan baru untuk keluarga di Desa Tambakrejo. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 20 Juli 2024 di Balai Desa Tambakrejo. Sasaran program pemberdayaan perempuan ini adalah ibu PKK dan pelaku UMKM Desa Tambakrejo. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan beberapa metode diantaranya tahap persiapan, tahap penyusunan materi, dan tahap pelaksanaan sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Berdasarkan pelaksanan kegiatan tersebut dapat dikatakan bahwa para peserta mampu dengan mudah memahami materi yang disampaikan di setiap tahapannya. Selain itu, melalui kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat ini, peserta mendapatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan baru. Dan para peserta memiliki ketertarikan untuk mencoba membuat produk sendiri yang kemudian dapat menjadi pemasukan bagi mereka pada saat diperjualbelikan.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate how activator hydrochloric acid (HCl) concentration affects the adsorption capacity of corncob-activated carbon in Methylene Blue (MB) dye.  This was followed by immersion in HCl solutions with various concentrations (2.5 M; 3M; 3.5 M; and 4 M) as chemical activating agents. Next, FTIR and XRD were used to characterize the activated carbon that had been activated and unactivated. The study analyzed the reduction of methylene blue dye concentration in the air to evaluate the effectiveness of activated carbon as an adsorbent. It examined various factors influencing the adsorption process, including different initial concentrations of the azo dye (20 ppm, 30 ppm, 40 ppm, 50 ppm, and 60 ppm) and contact times (15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes). The experimental results indicated that a 3 M concentration of HCl was the most effective activator, leading to a maximum dye removal rate of 80.77%. For an initial concentration of 20 ppm of the azo dye, the highest adsorption results were achieved at 85.67%. Furthermore, the optimal contact time for maximum adsorption was found to be 30 minutes, with a peak adsorption rate of 70.08%. The Langmuir adsorption isotherm model demonstrated a better fit for the adsorption of methylene blue onto corncob-activated carbon. It can be concluded that activated carbon produced from corn cobs and treated with HCl is an effective adsorbent for reducing methylene blue levels in the solution.

Abstract

Clean water sanitation is an effort to maintain cleanliness and prevent the transmission of waterborne diseases to achieve community welfare in an area. This community service aims to increase the knowledge of the managers and consumers of HIPPAM Tirta Bahari Banjarjo Village, Bancar Subdistrict, Tuban Regency in managing clean water to fulfill basic proper sanitation. There are two activities to achieve this goal, the first activity was carried out on 19 August 2024 and related to the socialization of basic sanitation for a decent life. The second activity was carried out on 16 September 2024 related to making filtration with natural filters. Evaluation of the success of the socialization of this activity was carried out through pre-test and post-test. The pre-test and post-test results showed that the participants' understanding had increased to 95%, meaning that the participants could receive the material well. However, there is still a need for long-term evaluation regarding the sustainability of the program. Cooperation from all parties in implementing clean living is the most important factor, so that the effectiveness of basic sanitation can be fulfilled.

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country with a variety of natural products that are very abundant, one of which is banana fruit. One of the areas with banana producers in East Java province such as Tambakrejo village, Tambakrejo sub-district, Bojonegoro Regency. The KKNTK-14 team of Bojonegoro University held product innovation training in the form of chocolate banana chips to increase the value of bananas. This activity is based on the fact that many bananas are sold only in the form of fruit directly in the market so that unsold fruit will rot and lose. This women's empowerment activity through training aims to increase the selling value of bananas which will encourage increased sales and can help increase the income of sellers or business actors. This activity was carried out on August 05, 2024 with the location of the activity at Tambakrejo Village Hall. The targets of this women's empowerment program are PKK mothers and MSME players in Tambakrejo Village. The implementation of women's empowerment activities goes through several stages such as the preparation stage, the material preparation stage and the activity implementation stage. Based on the implementation of these activities, it can be said that the participants were very enthusiastic in practicing what had been conveyed by the implementer regarding the processing of melted chocolate banana chips at each stage. This activity provides benefits for women in Tambakrejo Village to maximize the existing local potential and improve skills that will later be able to help them improve their livelihood.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian awal mengenai konversi pasir pantai Dogolan menjadi mineral bernilai tinggi untuk meningkatkan nilai ekonomisnya. Sebab, selama ini pemanfaatannya terbatas pada penggunaan pribadi warga lokal sebagai bahan bangunan yang nilai ekonominya rendah. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian awal ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis kandungan silika dan struktur fasanya. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk menganalisis permasalahan ini adalah dengan metode Rietveld. Metode uji karakterisasi strukturnya dilakukan dengan uji Difraksi Sinar-X (XRD) menggunakan alat XRD X’Pert PRO PANalytical pada 2θ= 15-65⁰. Sedangkan analisis secara kualitatifnya menggunakan software Match! dan analisis kuantitatifnya dengan perangkat lunak Rietica yang merupakan implementasi dari metode Rietveld. Hasil pola difraktogram XRD menunjukkan bahwa material pasir Pantai Dogolan merupakan fasa kristalin dengan kandungan mineral utamanya adalah silika SiO₂ kuarsa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya 2 puncak difraksi utama yang tinggi dan tegas pada posisi 2θ= 20,86 dan 26,51. Hasil analisis kualitatif dari Software Match! Menunjukkan adanya fasa quartz low dengan presentase 100% dan sesuai dengan databased PDF. Hasil identifikasi dan analisis lanjut, sampel pasir Pantai Dogolan tergolong fasa alpha quartz dengan sistem Kristal trigonal. Analisis kuantitatif dengan perangkat lunak Rietica menunjukkan pembentukan fasa tunggak SiO₂ yang dibuktikan dengan nilai kecocokanyang dapat diterima telah terpenui. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, pasir pantai Dogolan memiliki kandungan Silika Kuarsa SiO2, diharapkan ke depan mempunyai potensi lanjut untuk dijadikan penerapan material berteknologi tinggi dan dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomisnya.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the pH and nitrogen content in fertilizer samples at Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian in Semarang. measurements based on the Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) 19-7030-2004. Analysis of the pH of the fertilizer sample using electrometric method. While the nitrogen content of the samples was carried out using the Kjeldahl method which went through three stages, namely the destruction process, the distillation process and the titration stage. The results of the analysis showed that the pH of the sample was 7.34 with a nitrogen content of 1.00481. Based on these data, the fertilizer samples comply with SNI 19-7030-2004.

Abstract

Exploration of the chemical profile and antioxidant properties of ethanol extract derived from Ruellia napifera leaves is very important, considering the usefulness of these leaves for use in natural therapy products. This research investigates the identification of secondary metabolite compounds and the antioxidant activity of ethanol extract from Ruellia napifera leaves. The objectives are to determine the types of secondary metabolite compounds present and to evaluate the antioxidant potential using the DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) radical scavenging method. Ethanol extracts were prepared using the maceration method at durations of 24 hours. Phytochemical tests revealed the presence of flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and steroids. Antioxidant activity was measured through IC50 values, indicating the extract’s ability to inhibit 50% of the DPPH radicals. The IC50 values obtained were 10.66 μg/mL. For comparison, vitamin C as a positive control exhibited an IC50 of 2.49 μg/mL. These results suggest that the Gempur Batu leaf extract has strong antioxidant potential. These findings suggest that this extract from Ruellia napifera leaves holds potential for developing natural antioxidant-based therapeutic products or herbal medicine formulations.

Abstract

Penambahan aktivator kimia dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan luas permukaan karbon dan membuka pori-pori yang tertutup, sehingga meningkatkan kapasitas adsorpsi karbon aktif. Penelitian yang menggunakan tiga aktivator kimia yang berbeda - HCl, NaOH, dan Na?CO? - bersama dengan aktivasi fisik pada suhu 750°C menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas dibandingkan dengan proses tanpa aktivasi. Ketika memproduksi karbon aktif dari tebon jagung, hasil yang tinggi sebesar 80-82% dapat dicapai. Uji evaluasi terhadap karbon aktif menunjukkan parameter berikut: kadar air berkisar antara 6% hingga 8,79%, kadar abu antara 2,89% hingga 4,49%, dan bilangan iodin bervariasi dari 751,11 hingga 812,16. Hasil ini memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan oleh SNI 06-3730-1995. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa HCl merupakan aktivator kimia yang paling efektif untuk mensintesis karbon aktif dari tongkol jagung. Kesimpulan ini didukung oleh karakterisasi FTIR dan XRD. Analisis FTIR menunjukkan adanya gugus fungsi yang khas dari arang aktif, seperti O-H, C=O, dan C-C. Selain itu, analisis XRD menunjukkan adanya SiO? amorf, yang merupakan sifat yang menguntungkan untuk adsorben yang terdefinisi dengan baik, yang diamati pada sudut 2? 20-30 derajat.   The addition of chemical activators is intended to increase the surface area of carbon and open closed pores, thereby enhancing the adsorption capacity of activated carbon. Research utilizing three different chemical activators—HCl, NaOH, and Na?CO?—along with physical activation at 750 °C demonstrated improved quality compared to processes without activation. When producing activated carbon from corn stover, a high yield of 80-82% was achieved. Evaluation tests on the activated carbon revealed the following parameters: the moisture content ranged from 6% to 8.79%, the ash content was between 2.89% and 4.49%, and the iodine number varied from 751.11 to 812.16. These results meet the standards set by SNI 06-3730-1995. The findings indicated that HCl is the most effective chemical activator for synthesizing activated carbon from corn cob. This conclusion is further supported by FTIR and XRD characterization. FTIR analysis revealed the presence of functional groups typical of activated charcoal, such as O-H, C=O, and C-C. Additionally, XRD analysis revealed the presence of amorphous SiO?, a favorable property for a well-defined adsorbent, observed at 2? angles of 20-30 degrees.

Abstract

The ongoing energy crisis encourages the search for environmentally friendly and economical alternative energy sources. Ngringinrejo Village, Bojonegoro, produces organic waste such as dry leaves and twigs from starfruit gardens, which remain underutilized and pose environmental risks. This community service activity aims to introduce appropriate technology through the production of briquettes from dry waste as an alternative energy source. The methods used included field surveys, literature studies, and hands-on training for local residents. The briquette-making process involves carbonization, grinding, mixing with coconut shell and tapioca adhesive, molding with a semi-mechanical tool, and drying. The training involved around 90 participants, including village officials, students, youth organizations, and community leaders. The activity resulted in increased community knowledge of waste management and the benefits of briquettes as an energy source. The produced briquettes are environmentally friendly, economically valuable, and provide new economic opportunities. This activity also fostered environmental awareness and social collaboration. In conclusion, briquettes made from dry waste offer a viable energy solution that supports circular economy practices at the village level.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Desa Wates, Kecamatan Sumbergempol, Kabupaten Tulungagung, untuk menangani minimnya pemanfaatan tanaman herbal, khususnya brotowali, yang memiliki potensi besar sebagai obat tradisional. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi dampak program pemberdayaan masyarakat terkait pemanfaatan tanaman herbal ini. Metode penelitian meliputi penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan pendampingan dalam pembuatan jamu, serta penanaman tanaman herbal di pekarangan rumah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan minat masyarakat tentang tanaman herbal dan pembuatan jamu. Sebelum program, 40% responden memiliki tanaman herbal di pekarangan rumah, sedangkan setelah program, 100% responden melaporkan adanya tanaman herbal di pekarangan mereka. Keinginan untuk menanam tanaman herbal juga meningkat dari 80% menjadi 100%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa program pemberdayaan masyarakat berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan motivasi masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan tanaman herbal. Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Tanaman Herbal, Brotowali, Pembuatan Jamu  ABSTRACT This activity was carried out in Wates Village, Sumbergempol District, Tulungagung Regency, to address the minimal use of herbal plants, especially brotowali, which has great potential as a traditional medicine. The aim of this activity is to evaluate the impact of community empowerment programs related to the use of this herbal plant. Research methods include counseling, training and assistance in making herbal medicine, as well as planting herbal plants in the home yard. The research results show a significant increase in people's knowledge and interest about herbal plants and making herbal medicine. Before the program, 40% of respondents had herbal plants in their yard, while after the program, 100% of respondents reported having herbal plants in their yard. The desire to plant herbal plants also increased from 80% to 100%. The conclusion of this research is that the community empowerment program has succeeded in increasing people's knowledge, skills and motivation in using herbal plants.  Keywords: Community Empowerment, Herbal Plants, Brotowali, Making Herbal Medicine.
