Abstract

Quality education is currently the main focus of government programs that continue to be pursued. Efforts to achieve good educational standards are not solely the responsibility of the government, but involve contributions from the private sector, educational institutions and the general public. This research aims to illustrate the vitality of efforts to develop the quality of Indonesian education, a country facing challenges in terms of educational quality. The research method used is a qualitative literature study approach and a descriptive approach. The data collected comes from scientific literature such as journals and articles. The results of this research provide insight into efforts that can be made to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, and identify several factors that contribute to the low quality of education in this country. In achieving the goal of impactful learning in the classroom and improving the overall quality of education, the role of professional development for educators is very important.

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of digital literacy in efforts to improve quality education for human resources, which influences achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. This research aims to understand the importance of digital literacy and to find out strategies that can be used to maximize digital literacy for the nation's generation. The research method used is the literature study method, and descriptive analysis by collecting literature, books and other sources that are relevant to the research topic to conclude. The results of this research show that the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs are a program that is interconnected and influences each other in achieving sustainable development. The role of digital literacy is to form a more critical individual mindset, increase creativity and increase extensive knowledge so that it can influence a person's quality. Maximizing digital literacy has several influencing factors, the most important of which is the role of the government which is in control and supports in improving the quality of education. In increasing digital literacy, of course, utilizing existing technology, technology can be a means of developing technological skills so that you become an individual who is capable and can master technology well. By using technology in education, students can be formed who have the skills, knowledge and broad insight to contribute to the success of sustainable national development.

Abstract

This article discusses a sustainable education program project that has been implemented by a private school in the Gresik area. Through the annual STEAM  Fair, Chalidana Islamic School Primary Menganti instills sustainable education creatively and meaningfully for its students. This study is conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach, through methods such as interviews with the Person in Charge (PIC), analysis of written project planning, and documentation review. The aim of this article is to explore the best practices and experiences from the implementation of sustainable education programs in elementary schools and provide valuable insights for other schools interested in adopting a similar approach to enhance sustainable learning.

Abstract

The availability of clean water and sanitation is a very important aspect for society because its presence is essential in various daily activities, so its quality must be prioritized. However, in reality this is still not fully fulfilled and contributes to public health problems. Therefore, this research was conducted to investigate problems related to the provision of clean water and sanitation in the context of sustainable development, as well as ways to overcome these challenges. The method used in this research is qualitative, by collecting primary data through literature studies from various sources such as books, scientific journals, articles, the internet and other literature. Researchers will conduct a systematic review of several recent journals published between 2019 and 2024, to be used as references in developing teaching materials. Efforts to overcome clean water and sanitation problems are part of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which then become the basis for implementing national targets related to clean water and sanitation.

Abstract

Semarang City, as one of the major urban centers in Indonesia,, faces serious challenges in managing the increasing risk of flooding. This article discusses the role of water conservation in reducing the risk of flooding in Semarang City towards achieving the 11th Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs). Through an analysis of current literature and research, this article identifies water conservation strategies that can be implemented to address flooding problems in this city. The results of the analysis show that water conservation through dismantling Water Absorption Wells (SRA), Biopore Holes, and Rainwater Harvesting (RH) are important steps in reducing the risk of flooding in Semarang City.Semarang, flood risk, water conservation.

Abstract

The transition from mechanical and analog technology to digital technology is a defining characteristic of the digital era. The advent of technology has prompted the millennial generation to comprehend the significance of cultural preservation, encompassing their cognitive processes and behaviors. Particularly, the millennial generation is required to possess digital literacy proficiencies, encompassing the capacity to securely and accurately access, manage, comprehend, integrate, communicate, evaluate, and generate information through digital literacy. Digital literacy has numerous advantages, including the enhancement of one's ability to concentrate and maintain attention. Another advantage for an individual is their capacity to comprehend information, which enhances their aptitude to construct coherent sentences and produce written content. Digital literacy is intricately linked to the preservation of culture. In this context, conservation does not solely pertain to the environment and vegetation, but rather encompasses the endeavor to safeguard, maintain, and utilize it in a manner that is environmentally sustainable. The inquiry pertains to the correlation between digital literacy within the millennial cohort and the preservation of cultural heritage. What is the influence of digital literacy on the comprehension of cultural conservation ideals among the millennial generation? The present study employed a qualitative methodology, specifically utilizing a continuous descriptive approach. Continuity description study involves conducting descriptive research on a specific subject over an extended period of time. The study findings indicate that millennials' comprehension of the significance of cultural preservation through digital literacy is based on three key criteria: civic literacy, global citizenship, and digital citizenship.

Abstract

In facing the complex challenges faced by the world today, sustainable education is the main focus. With the aim of preparing society for a sustainable future, this article discusses the problems and prospects of sustainable education in the global era. This article emphasizes the role of education in promoting inclusive, sustainable and solution-oriented development by analyzing the current global context. Equitable access, quality education, community empowerment, and relevant curriculum development are the main challenges in realizing sustainable education. In addition, this article outlines the challenges and opportunities that arise in efforts to support sustainable education, such as technological innovation, cross-sector collaboration, and holistic learning approaches. Thus, this article provides in-depth insight into these difficulties and opportunities. Therefore, this article provides in-depth insight into the challenges and prospects of sustainable education in the global era. It also offers a framework for sustainable and inclusive educational efforts to build a more sustainable future.

Abstract

Education is an important suggestion in improving and developing human resources in a nation. conservation has the meaning of preservation, namely to preserve or maintain the carrying capacity, quality, function and ability of the natural environment in a balanced manner. Conservation education is education that provides a positive influence on behavior, attitudes and ways of thinking related to the management of natural resources and the ecosystems that exist in it. The need for conservation education is to foster an attitude of environmental care in children and adults. To form humans who are aware of the importance of preserving rivers, it is necessary to foster, direct and make someone have a soul that loves the environment. Parents as the first and main educators in the household have a very big role in shaping children's attitudes and behavior to care about the environment.

Abstract

Environmental education is an important effort in forming awareness and responsible behavior towards the environment, especially in young students. This article highlights the urgency of environmental education in shaping students' behavior towards the environment in elementary schools. Using the literature review method, this research presents an overview of the importance of cleanliness of the school environment, strategies for building student character, and the role of schools in environmental education. The research results show that efforts to maintain a clean school environment involve factors such as teacher example, character education, active student participation, and external support. Programs such as mutual cooperation activities and a picket team system in each class have proven to be effective in forming awareness and positive behavior towards the environment. Thus, maintaining the cleanliness of the school environment is not just a physical task, but also an investment in character building and shared prosperity for the entire school community.

Abstract

Currently, the world is experiencing complex and dynamic developments, with its problems. People around us are often faced with social and economic challenges such as conflict, social inequality and poverty. Education for sustainable development is expected to produce a generation that has a sustainable mindset. Currently, Indonesia is trying to improve the quality of its education through implementing the "Merdeka Belajar" curriculum. It is hoped that this step will be a great opportunity for Indonesia to improve the quality of education and increase its competitiveness when compared to other countries. The aim of writing this article is to analyse the role of education in supporting sustainable development. This writing is descriptive and uses various relevant literary sources such as scientific journals. This writing uses data collection techniques or literature studies which are based on information presented in previous research. This article discusses the very important role of education in sustainable development, both domestically and at the global level. Apart from providing knowledge and skills, education also shapes character, increases social, environmental and economic awareness, and teaches individuals responsibility. Programs such as SATAP, SM3T, and Calistung play a major role in supporting quality education and sustainable development.
