Abstract

The purposes of this study are 1). To describe the activities of lecturers in improving the PGSD Unnes students’ ability to design the learning of geometry based on Van Hiele’s theory. 2). To describe the activities of students in improving the ability to design the learning of geometry based on Van Hiele’s theory 3). To know the students’ learning outcomes in developing learning activity of elementary geometry by implementing Van Hiele’s theory on PGSD students UNNES. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. Each cycle consists of planning, execution, observation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study are lecturers of geometry and students who take geometry course. The technique in collecting data is using test and non-test techniques. The data analysis is done in quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The result shows that all students can achieve mastery learning. It is suggested that a set of task bills so that prerequisites have been owned by the students. Structured tasks should be given to see the students’ ability.

Abstract

This study was being underlied by Mathematics learning outcomes of the second grade of SDN Gugus Gajah Mada  which is low. This study was intended to know the effectiveness of STAD model based from van hiele theory  towards  mathematics  subject  learning  achievement  of  the  2nd  grade  students  of  Elementary  Schools (SD) Cluster Gajah Mada Wonogiri. To achieve this objective, this research used quasi experimental research with the type of nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were the 2nd grade students of SD Cluster Gajah Mada Wonogiri. They were sampled by using cluster random sampling. As the data were collected, they were analyzed by using one tailed proportion test, namely z test, t test, gain test and N -gain. The t test shows the comparison of count = 2.98>ttable = 1,68 which meant that Ho is reject, while Ha is accept. The results showed that the mathematics learning achievement of the 2nd grade students of SD Cluster Gajah Mda Wonogiri who achieved the treatment of STAD model based from van hiele theory achieved the passing grade (KKM) score, and STAD model based from van hiele theory than TPS.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of Project Based Learning (PjBL) with the model in control class towards science learning outcomes on Elementary School fourth grade students in Cluster Ikan Lodan Semarang. The research is a quasi-experimental design with pretest posttest nonequivalen control group design. The population is all students of SDN in Cluster Ikan Lodan. Sampling technique is purposive sampling. The Data collection techniques are observation, testing and documentation. The results showed that thitung > t table is 3,22> 2,00 it means ho rejected and ha accepted. The conclusions of this study is the experimental class that implements the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model is more effective than applying the model on class control with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) on material changes the physical environment in the fourth grade students of SDN in cluster Ikan Lodan North Semarang districts.
