Abstract

Relationship between big five personality traits and online purchase intension was determined by this study. Researchers stated their hypothesis as follows : Big five personality could predict the intention of online purchase from the students who majoring in Psychology at Universitas Prima Indonesia Medan. There were 186 Psychology's students participating in this study and they was selected using purposive sampling technique. Assumption testing has been done by requirements test analysis including normality test, test of heteroscedasticity, also multicollinearity test. Data was analyzed using multiple regression analysis method through SPSS 16 version. Results of data analysis indicate the relationship between the Big Five Personality Trait and Online PurchaseIntention with the provement of the F value = 5,864 and the significancy value (p) = 0.000; (p<0.05). Results of this study showed that one of the five Big Five Personality dimension having correlation to Online Purchase Intention. It is the dimension of Openness to New Experience with significance (p) = 0.003; (p<0.05).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the existence of an environmental identity relationship to sustainable tourism attitudes in communities living in Tuk-Tuk Village, Samosir, North Sumatra. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive relationship between environmental identity and sustainable tourism attitudes in the people who live in Tuk-Tuk Village, Samosir, North Sumatra. The research subjects used in this study were 301 residents of Tuk-Tuk Siadong Village, Simanindo, Samosir. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling method. This research uses quantitative methods, research data is collected using a scale. The assumption test used consists of a normality test anda linearity test. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation test with the help of SPSS 20 for Windows. The results of the data analysis show that there is a positive relationship between environmental identity and the attitude of sustainable tourism in the people who live in Tuk-Tuk Village, Samosir, North Sumatra. Abstract

 Subject of the survey consist of 117 students on Sriwijaya senior high school by total sampling method. The results showed there were significantly relationship locus of contol with cheating. External with correlate coefficient 0.848 and sig. 0.000 (p<0.005), were positively related to cheating, while internal were negatively related to cheating with correlate coefficient -0.286 and sig. 0.000 (p<0.05). Calculations were performed to test the requirements analysis, which consists of normality distribution, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroscedasticity test for relationships. Data were analyzed by using multiple analysis regression. The results of data analysis showed a correlation correlation coefficient of 0.952 (p <0.05) and showed that the contribution of a given locus of control on cheating was 95.2 percent, while the remaining 4.8 percent was affected by other factors not examined. From the results, it can be concluded that the hypothesis stating that there is a significance relationship between locus of control and cheating.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between empathy and forgiveness. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a positive relationship between empathy and forgiveness, assuming that the higher the empathy, the higher the forgiveness. Conversely, the lower the empathy, the lower the forgiveness. Subjects of this study are married couples who live in Kelurahan Binjai, Kecamatan Medan Denai as many as 120 people or 60 couples, chosen by purposive sampling method. Data are obtained from a scale to measure empathy and forgiveness. The calculation is performed through the prerequisite test analysis (assumption test) that consists of normality test of distribution and linearity test. Data are analyzed used Pearson correlation technique through SPSS 21 for Windows. Results of the analysis of the data shows the correlation between empathy and forgiveness r = 0.847, p = 0.000. Thus, it can be concluded that empathy has significant relationship with forgiveness on the standard error test of 0.01 (one-tailed). The results show that the contribution (R2) given by empathy variable to forgiveness is 71.8 percent; the remaining of 28.2 percent is affected by other factors not examined. From these results, it can be concluded that the hypothesis of this study is accepted.Keywords : forgiveness, empathy

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara job satisfaction dengan stres kerja. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah para karyawan PT. SumatraSarana Sekar Sakti Medan sebanyak 106 karyawan yang dipilih dengan metode teknik nonprobability yaitu sampel jenuh atau sering disebut total sampling. Data diperoleh dari skala untuk mengukur stres kerja dan job satisfaction. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan korelasi Produck Moment melalui bantuan SPSS 20 for windows. Hasil data analisis data menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0.197 dengan p sebesar 0.021 (p < 0.05). Ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif antara job satisfaction dengan stres kerja. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sumbangan yang diberikan variabel job satisfaction terhadap stres kerja adalah sebesar 3.9% dan selebihnya 96.1% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa hipotesis penelitian ada hubungan negatif antara job satisfaction dengan stres kerja, dapat diterima.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya studi ini ialah untuk memahami pengaruh pelatihan character building untuk meningkatkan psychological well-being pada anak Panti Asuhan Puteri Aisyiyah Medan. Hipotesis pada studi ini ialah bahwa pelatihan character building efektif untuk meningkatkan psychological well-being pada anak Panti Asuhan Puteri Aisyiyah Medan. Riset ini adalah riset percobaan pada desain one group pretest-posttest design. Data yang didapatkan diuji normalitasnya memakai uji Shapiro-Wilk. Teknik analisis yang dipakai pada studi ini ialah kuantitatif serta kualitatif. Analisis kuantitatif menggunakan pengukuran non-parametrik yaitu teknik analisis statistik Wilcoxon dengan program bantuan Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) versi 23. Sedangkan analisa kualitatif bersumber pada data hasil studi dan interviu. Hasil uji statistik yang selesai dibuat memakai uji Wilcoxon terdapat nilai p value sejumlah 0.000 (p < 0.05) sehingga hipotesa diterima. Oleh karena itu, menurut hasil analisis tersebut bisa ditarik kesimpulan bahwasannya pelatihan character building berpengaruh untuk meningkatkan psychological well-being pada anak Panti Asuhan Puteri Aisyiyah Medan.

Abstract

Setiap wirausahawan pasti memiliki kearifan lokal masing-masing dalam membangun usaha. Pada setiap etnis dapat dibedakan dari budaya yang dikaitkan dalam membangun usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan makna kewirausahaan pada empat etnis yang berbeda, yakni Melayu, Jawa, Tionghoa, dan India dikota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif serta teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Dalam memperoleh data digunakan metode wawancara dan observasi. Alasan peneliti dalam menggunakan teknik penelitian ini adalah ingin menggali lebih dalam makna kewirusahaan pada setiap etnis yang berbeda. Hasil yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini pada Melayu terdapat mental berwirausaha yang sudah menjadi bakat, gaya hidup yang optimis, toleran, serta tetap berpegang pada adat istiadat dimana adanya sopan santun, ramah, demokratis serta mengutamakan diplomasi daripada kekerasan. Pada etnis Jawa adalah memiliki etos kerja yang kuat, memprioritaskan keakraban, menghindari konflik, menerima segala sesuatu dengan tulus, dan juga memberi upaya maksimal dalam melakukan pekerjaan. Pada etnis Tionghoa juga ditemukan adanya perhatian, fokus dapat dipercaya, kerja keras, berhemat, solidaritas keluarga, pendidikan, dan kebajikan atau moral etika dalam berwirausaha, kestabilan emosi, ketelitian, keberanian, serta kejujuran. Serta pada etnis India terdapat motivasi berprestasi, dan taat menjalankan upacara-upacara sebagai permintaan doa demi kesuksesan usaha.

Abstract

This study aims to find the relationship between conscientiousness and academic procrastination. The hypothesis of this study states that there is a negative correlation between conscientiousness and academic procrastination, assuming that the higher the conscientiousness, the lower the academic procrastination will be and conversely. The subjects of this study were 97 students from Faculty of Technology and Computer Science. The calculation was performed by testing requirements analysis (assumption test), which consists of normality test for distribution and linearity test for relationships. Product Moment correlation with SPSS 17 for windows was used in the data analysis. The results in the data analysis showed that the correlation coefficient was -0.541 with p 0.000 (p0.05). It shows that there is a negative correlation between conscientiousness and academic procrastination. From these results, it is concluded that the hypothesis stating there is a negative correlation between conscientiousness and academic procrastination is acceptable.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Iklim Organisasi dengan Persepsi Kualitas Pelayanan. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT. Java Global Futures Medan sebanyak 92 orang yang menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data diperoleh dari skala untuk mengukur iklim organisasi dan persepsi kualitas pelayanan. Perhitungan dilakukan dengan melalui uji prasyarat analisis (uji asumsi) yang terdiri dari uji normalitas dan uji linearitas. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan korelasi Product Moment (Pearson Correlation) dengan bantuan SPSS 17 for Windows. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan koefisien korelasi r = 0.604, dan nilai signifikansi p = 0.000 (p < 0.05) yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara iklim organisasi dengan persepsi kualitas pelayanan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sumbangan yang diberikan variabel iklim organisasi terhadap variabel persepsi kualitas pelayanan adalah sebesar 35,6 persen, selebihnya 64,4 persen dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan dapat diterima.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between quality of work life and burnout. Subjects used in this study were Workers at PT Multi Sarana Medanv consisting of 94 people who were selected by using purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained from a scale to measure quality of worklife and burnout. The calculation was performed by means of testing requirements analysis (assumption test) that consists of a test for normality and linearity. Analysis of the data used was performed by Product Moment Analysis through SPSS 17 for Windows. The results of data analysis showed that r = -0,839 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that there was a positive relationship between burnout and turnover intention. The results of this study indicated that the contribution (R2) given to the quality of worklife to burnout intention was 70.3 %, the remaining 29.7 % were affected by other factors not examined.
