One of the causes of the high incidence of hypertension is cholesterol caused by the consumption of inappropriate food. One of the laboratory examinations to support hypertension diagnosis is blood cholesterol examination which can show excess cholesterol which makes hypertension difficult to control. To know the description of total cholesterol levels in hypertensive patients at the Sadananya Health Center. Quantitative descriptive, the population in this study were people with hypertension at the Sadananya Health Center. Sampling with accidental sampling, as many as 30 respondents. The cholesterol examination method used is CHOD-PAP. The results showed that blood pressure in respondents all had high blood pressure, namely >140/90 mmHg (100%), a high cholesterol level of 24 respondents (80%), blood pressure 140-150 who had high cholesterol as many 13 respondents, blood pressure 160-170 who had high cholesterol as much 6 respondents, blood pressure >180 who had high cholesterol as much 5 respondents. Introduction: Thalassemia is a common hereditary blood disorder with a significant impact on public health, particularly in high-prevalence areas. Genetic counseling and premarital screening are critical for educating couples at risk, helping to reduce the incidence of thalassemia. However, there is often a lack of accessible and comprehensible information on this topic for prospective couples, especially at the community health level. Objective: This study aimed to develop an educational leaflet tailored for prospective couples, focusing on genetic counseling and premarital screening for thalassemia. The leaflet is designed to enhance awareness, provide clear information, and encourage informed decision-making among couples. Method: A descriptive research design was employed to create and validate the educational leaflet. The development process included a needs assessment through surveys and focus group discussions with nurse educators and couples in the target population. Content was adapted based on expert feedback from genetic counselors and nurses educators to ensure accuracy, readability, and cultural relevance. Result: The finalized leaflet contains essential information on thalassemia, genetic counseling, and the importance of premarital screening. It is structured in a user-friendly format, including illustrations and a simplified language level to facilitate understanding. Conclusion: The educational leaflet effectively provides prospective couples with critical information on thalassemia, genetic counseling, and premarital screening. This tool can serve as a valuable resource in public health centers to promote awareness and preventive measures for hereditary diseases. Further research is recommended to evaluate its long-term impact on reducing thalassemia incidence.

Introduction: Maternal knowledge about nutrition plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal growth and development of toddlers during their critical early years. Understanding the variations in maternal knowledge levels can provide valuable insights into nutritional practices and their impact on child health outcomes. Objective: The objective of this article is to analyze and describe the levels of maternal knowledge regarding nutrition in toddlers to identify gaps and inform strategies for improving child health outcomes. Methods: This study employed a cross-sectional design to assess maternal knowledge of toddler nutrition. The population included mothers with children aged 12–59 months, with a sample of 36 participants selected through accidental sampling. The research was conducted in Wado, Sumedang Regency, from April 25 to May 25, 2024. Data were analyzed using frequency and percentage calculations, facilitated by SPSS software version 22. Results: The study results showed that the majority of mothers had good knowledge about providing nutrition for toddlers, with 33 participants (86%) categorized as good, while the remaining 3 participants (14%) had moderate knowledge. Conclusions: The study concludes that most mothers have good knowledge of toddler nutrition, indicating positive awareness within the community. However, the presence of a small proportion with moderate knowledge highlights the need for targeted educational interventions. Health practitioners should develop tailored nutrition education programs to address these gaps and enhance maternal capacity to support optimal child growth and development.

Hypertension is high blood pressure whose systolic is more than 140 mmHg and diastolic is more than 90 mmHg. Hypertension in the elderly is mostly isolated systolic blood pressure (HST), with increased systolic blood pressure leading to an increased risk of myocardial infarction and stroke even when the diastolic is in the normal range. Prevention efforts are made by providing education about the prevention of hypertension to the elderly who have never experienced hypertension. This study aims to determine the effect of education through Visual media on the level of knowledge of the elderly about the prevention of hypertension. quantitative research using quasi experiment design, the design used is one group pre-test post-test design. Number of participants involved in this study was 55 participants and sampling in this study with Probability Sampling technique using multi stage random sampling method. Participants involved in this Reasearch were those who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, namely the elderly who did not have a history of hypertension in the Selasari. This research was conducted in February - April 2024. The intervention was given after the participants filled in the queationer (pre test) and the measurement was carried out after the intervention was given in the form of filling out the questioner (post test). The measurement results were recorded in the observation sheet to be analyzed using SPSS Version 26 software with statistical tests. Data on participant characteristics are displayed in frequencies and percentages while the effect of the intervention is expressed in P-Value. The study states that there is an effect of education through visual media on the level of knowledge of the elderly about preventing hypertension with a significance value on the results of the Paired T-Test test obtained ρ-value (0.000) < α (0.05). Education through Visual Media affects the level of knowledge of the elderly about the prevention of hypertension.

The prevalence of HIV/AIDS in the world has reached 38.4 million, including adolescents and adults. During adolescence, to grow and develop with good health, teenagers need information, including health education, to strengthen their understanding of health problems such as HIV/AIDS. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of animated video-based health education on adolescents' knowledge about HIV/AIDS. The research design uses a pre-experimental design with one group pretest posttest. The population is all teenage students at MAN 2 Ciamis school, totaling 644 respondents. This sampling method uses Non Probability Sampling Purposive Sampling with a sample size of 87 respondents. The sampling technique uses the Slovin formula and measuring instruments in the form of questionnaires whose validity has been tested. The statistical test used is the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. The results of the research before being given animated video-based health education showed that 38 respondents (43.7%) were in the poor category, but after being given animated video-based health education, 73 respondents increased to the good category. respondents (83.9%), based on the Wilcoxon Sign Rank statistical test, it showed a significant p-value = 0.000 0.05. There is an influence of animated video-based health education on teenagers' knowledge

ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus is a type of non-communicable disease caused by the body's immune system attacking and damaging pancreatic cells that produce insulin. The number of people with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) tends to increase every year. The utilization of non-pharmacological therapy as a treatment option helps reduce the cost of therapy and treatment for people with VCO diabetes mellitus. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of virgin coconut oil (VCO) on reducing blood glucose levels of patients with Type II DM at the Cisaga Health Center. This type of research is a pre-experiment with a one group pretest-postest design. Respondents were type 2 DM sufferers as many as 34 respondents who were calculated using G-Power Software. The research was conducted in the work area of the Cisaga Health Center, Ciamis Regency. The instrument used was glucometer (GDS) and the data was processed with SPSS.VCO given to respondents after pretest - postest obtained a sig p-value of 0.000 less than 0.05 and the z-Score is (-) 5.008. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between the decrease in blood sugar in patients with Type 2 DM after being given VCO Virgin Coconut Oil.
