Abstract

Cyberbullying behavior among teenagers can have physical, psychological, and emotional impacts on the victim. Cyberbullying behavior can be influenced by several factors, one of which is parental parenting. Parents with a permissive parenting style are a parenting style that liberates children. This research aims to determine the relationship between parents' permissive parenting patterns and the risk of cyberbullying behavior among teenagers in public high schools in Bali. This research used a cross-sectional design with purposive sampling of 95 respondents from a total population of 1,744 students. The sample criteria in this study were students from one of the State High Schools in Bali who had violated school rules and regulations. The measuring tools used were a permissive parenting style questionnaire with nine statements and a risk questionnaire for cyberbullying behavior with 36 statements. Univariate analysis of permissive parenting patterns showed that parents with permissive parenting patterns raised 84.2% of respondents. Univariate analysis of the risk of cyberbullying behavior showed that 64.2% of respondents have a high risk of cyberbullying behavior. Bivariate Chi-Square analysis indicated that there was a relationship between parents' permissive parenting style and the risk of cyberbullying behavior (p-value = 0.001). One might take steps to mitigate the risk of cyberbullying by gaining a thorough comprehension of the perils associated with such activity. In addition, parents can mitigate lax parenting tendencies by assuming control over their children's social media activity and imparting knowledge about cyberbullying. BAHASA INDONESIA Perilaku cyberbullying di kalangan remaja dapat menimbulkan dampak fisik, psikologis, dan emosional korban. Perilaku cyberbullying dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yang salah satunya yaitu pola asuh orang tua. Orang tua dengan pola asuh permisif merupakan pola asuh yang membebaskan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pola asuh permisif orang tua dengan risiko perilaku cyberbullying pada remaja di SMA Negeri di Bali. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling sebanyak 95 responden dari total populasi 1.744 siswa. Kriteria sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa - siswi salah satu SMA Negeri di Bali yang pernah melanggar tata tertib sekolah. Alat ukur yang digunakan berupa kuesioner pola asuh permisif orang tua sebanyak 9 pernyataan dan  kuesioner risiko perilaku cyberbullying sebanyak 36 pernyataan. Analisis univariat pola asuh permisif menunjukkan bahwa 84.2% responden diasuh orang tua dengan pola asuh permisif. Analisis univariat risiko perilaku cyberbullying menunjukkan bahwa 64.2% responden memiliki risiko perilaku cyberbullying yang tinggi. Analisis bivariat Chi-Square menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pola asuh permisif orang tua dengan risiko perilaku cyberbullying (p-value = 0.001). Upaya pencegahan risiko perilaku cyberbullying dapat dilakukan oleh diri sendiri yaitu memahami bahaya cyberbullying. Selain itu, orang tua dapat mengurangi pola asuh permisif dan mulai mengontrol kegiatan anak di sosial media dan memberikan edukasi terkait cyberbullying.

Abstract

Cyberbullying is a negative impact of using social media. The negative impacts of cyberbullying on victims include experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, psychosomatic problems, decreased performance at school, decreased self-esteem and even self-destruction. Adaptive coping mechanisms are crusial to prevent worse impacts of cyberbullying. This research was aimed to determine the relationship between coping mechanisms and self-concept in adolescent victims of cyberbullying. The research method was a correlative descriptive research design with the crosstab chi-square test. The sampling technique used purposive sampling as many as 116 students. Univariate analysis results: the majority of respondents were female (69.0%), adaptive coping mechanisms (60.3%), experienced heavy cyberbullying victimization (52.6%) and high self-concept (73.3%). The results of bivariate analysis using the chi-square test showed no significant relationship between coping mechanisms and self-concept in adolescent victims of cyberbullying (p-value 0.112). Research recommendation: adolescents maintain adaptive coping, get social support and improve nurses and teachers in preventive and promotive activities regarding cyberbullying.

Abstract

Latar belakang: kanker merupakan salah satu penyakit kronis yang berpotensi membuat penderita kanker mengalami masalah psikologis. Ansietas merupakan masalah yang paling sering dilaporkan. Ansietas dapat muncul dari stress yang berlebihan akibat kanker yang diderita. Penggunaan mekanisme koping yang tepat diharapkan dapat menurun tingkat stress dan ansietas. Tujuan : penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat stress dan ansietas terhadap mekanisme koping penderita kanker. Metode : penelitian menggunakan desain deskripsif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Responden penelitian yakni penderita yang telah didiagnosis mengalami kanker dan sedang menjalani perawatan rawat jalan sejumlah 70 responden. Instrumen pengambilan data meliputi SAS untuk mengukur tingkat ansietas, modifikasi DASS untuk mengukur tingkat stress dan CSI-SF untuk mengukur jenis mekanisme koping yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian : tidak ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat stress dan mekanisme koping (p value 0,139); dan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat ansietas dengan mekanisme koping (p value 0,409). Rekomendasi : penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan mekanisme koping adaptif untuk menurunkan masalah psikososial. Penderita kanker yang berada pada rentang normal tingkat stres dan ansietas perlu tetap didampingi perawat untuk mempertahankan statsu psikologis yang baik.

Abstract

A worker experiences job stress when there is an imbalance between work and the ability to cope with stress. Work-related stress can occur due to organizational, individual and other factors. An employee should ideally have low job stress and a light workload, but in many situations job stress can result from a high workload. If not addressed it can reduce productivity and work performance and affect physical and mental health. The purpose of this community service is to increase employee knowledge about work stress and overcome stress by means of stress management. The method of activity is direct counseling using power points, discussion and roleplay. The material provided is about work stress and stress management. The participants were employees at PT.X Bekasi. This community service activity in the form of education can increase workers' knowledge in recognizing work stress and the ability to overcome problems at work. It is expected that along with improving the ability to cope with stress, it can improve performance and mental health in the workplace.

Abstract

Mental illness is a condition in which a person's mental functioning is altered, resulting in decreased mental performance and creating distress for the individual or hindering the performance of their social roles. Individuals suffering from mental illness generally experience difficulties in building relationships with those around them. Clients often tend to stay away from their social environment, making it difficult for them to interact with others. This condition is known as social isolation. Social isolation is a state where a person feels alone, which is perceived to be caused by others and seen as a negative and threatening situation. The consequences of social isolation can include social withdrawal, irritability, unpredictable behavior, hallucinations, as well as lack of attention to oneself. The purpose of this case study is to identify the success of providing social isolation implementation strategies. The method used was a case study involving the nursing process including assessment, data analysis, nursing diagnosis, intervention planning, implementation, evaluation, and observation. This case study was conducted for 10 days of monitoring. Interventions in this study were carried out through direct demonstration. The results of the intervention carried out on the patient showed a decrease in symptoms of social isolation in the individual.

Abstract

Mental health for adolescents is important to recognize and improve adolescents' psychological well-being and resilience. Adolescents with good mental health have adaptive abilities to manage feelings and deal with the challenges of daily life. The results of the initial study in student-managed families found that the majority of families expressed adolescents' vulnerability to mental health problems due to the impact of technological advances. Providing health education is expected to increase adolescents' self-recognition and increase knowledge to improve mental health. The community service method begins with the problem collection stage in the fostered area and continues with providing health education on the characteristics of adolescents/Gen Z and the importance of maintaining mental health at a young age. The results of filling out the questionnaire showed that the majority of adolescents, 73.68%, were in the moderate Psycho-logical Well-Being category and 52.63% were in the moderate Psychological Distress category. It is expected that adolescents can increase self-awareness and improve mental health in overcoming problems in everyday life.Keywords: adolescents; gen Z; mental health Abstrak: Kesehatan mental untuk remaja penting untuk mengenali dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis dan ketahanan remaja. Remaja dengan kesehatan mental yang baik memiliki kemampuan adaptif untuk mengelola perasaan dan menghadapi tantangan kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil studi awal pada keluarga kelolaan mahasiswa, ditemukan mayoritas keluarga mengutarakan kerentanan remaja pada masalah kesehatan mental akibat dampak kemajuan teknologi. Pemberian edukasi kesehatan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengenalan diri remaja dan meningkatkan pengetahuan untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental. Metode pengabdian masyarakat dimulai dengan tahap pengumpulan masalah pada wilayah binaan dan dilanjutkan dengan pemberian edukasi kesehatan mengenai karakteristik remaja/Gen Z dan pentingnya menjaga kesehatan mental pada usia muda. Hasil pengisian kuesioner diketahui bahwa mayoritas remaja, sebesar 73.68% berada pada kategori Psychological Well-Being tingkat sedang dan 52.63% berada pada tingkat Psychological Distress kategori sedang. Diharapkan remaja dapat meningkatkan kesadaran diri dan meningkatkan kesehatan mental dalam mengatasi masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Kata kunci:  remaja; gen Z; kesehatan mental

Abstract

ABSTRAK Program Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah (UKS) merupakan upaya promotif dan preventif yang dilaksanakan di lingkungan sekolah untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan peserta didik. Salah satu bentuk pelayanan UKS adalah kegiatan screening kesehatan atau penjaringan, yang bertujuan untuk mendeteksi dini permasalahan kesehatan siswa. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di lima sekolah dasar wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kecamatan Johar Baru, Jakarta Pusat, pada tanggal 5–7 Maret 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik total sampling, melibatkan 523 siswa kelas 4 hingga 6. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam dua tahap, yaitu pendataan awal dan pemeriksaan langsung yang mencakup kebersihan diri, kesehatan gigi dan mulut, status gizi, penglihatan, pendengaran, serta indikasi anemia. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan diuji secara inferensial menggunakan uji Chi-Square (χ²). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 70% siswa memiliki kuku kotor/panjang, 60% mengalami masalah gigi dan mulut, 15,1% memiliki gangguan penglihatan, 8% terindikasi anemia, dan 14% mengalami status gizi tidak normal. Uji Chi-Square menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara jenis kelamin dan kejadian karies gigi (χ² = 4,61; df = 1; p = 0,032), namun tidak signifikan pada anemia (χ² = 1,80; df = 1; p = 0,179). Kesimpulannya, masih banyak siswa yang memerlukan perhatian khusus dalam aspek kebersihan dan kesehatan. Diperlukan intervensi edukatif dan pendampingan berkelanjutan dari guru, orang tua, serta kolaborasi lintas sektor dengan puskesmas untuk memperkuat perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat di lingkungan sekolah. Kata Kunci: Screening Dini, UKS, PHBS, Siswa Sekolah Dasar, Kesehatan Anak  ABSTRACT The School Health Unit (UKS) is a promotive and preventive program implemented in schools to improve the health status of students. One of its services is health screening, aimed at the early detection of health problems among students. This activity was carried out in five elementary schools under the jurisdiction of the Johar Baru Community Health Center, Central Jakarta, from March 5 to 7, 2024. This study employed a descriptive quantitative method with a total sampling technique involving 523 students from grades 4 to 6. The screening was conducted in two stages: initial data collection and direct examinations, including assessments of personal hygiene, oral health, nutritional status, vision, hearing, and signs of anemia. Data were analyzed descriptively and further tested using the Chi-Square (χ²) statistical test. Results showed that 70% of students had dirty/long fingernails, 60% experienced oral health problems, 15.1% had vision impairment, 8% were suspected of anemia, and 14% had abnormal nutritional status. Chi-Square analysis indicated a significant association between gender and the incidence of dental caries (χ² = 4.61; df = 1; p = 0.032), but no significant association with anemia (χ² = 1.80; df = 1; p = 0.179). In conclusion, many students require more attention regarding personal hygiene and general health. Sustainable educational interventions and support from teachers, parents, and cross-sector collaboration with health centers are essential to foster clean and healthy living behaviors in schools. Keywords: Early Screening, School Health Unit, Personal Hygiene, Elementary Students, Child Health

Abstract

Research objective: Currently, adolescents tend to self-diagnose due to the influence of their environment and a lack of knowledge about mental health. A key driver factor for adolescents to engage in self-diagnosis is that they are still in the stage of understanding self-concept. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-esteem and self-diagnosis behaviour regarding mental health in adolescents. Method: The research method used was descriptive correlation. The inclusion criteria for this study were students in grades XI and XII at SMA X Jakarta. Data collection was conducted from October to December 2024. The research instruments used were the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, which had a Cronbach's alpha (ɑ=0.86), and the Self-Identification of Having Mental Illness (SELF-I), which had a Cronbach's alpha (ɑ=0.90). Univariate analysis was conducted by processing central tendency data for self-esteem and self-diagnosis, while bivariate analysis was performed using Kendall's tau-b correlation test. Results: The bivariate test showed a significant relationship between self-esteem and self-diagnosis behaviour (p-value 0.001). Discussion: The study's results indicate the importance of adolescents having high self-esteem to reduce the risk of self-diagnosis behavior. Adolescents need to have good self-esteem to maintain mental health in the future. Conclusion: Respondents are advised to increase their mental health awareness, be more discerning when filtering information from unofficial sources to avoid misinformation and seek professional help immediately. Schools need to implement mental health literacy programs that cover the dangers of self-diagnosis and how to access professional help.Keywords: adolescent, mental health, self-diagnosis, self-esteem

Abstract

ABSTRACT Skin infection scabies often occurs among individuals in densely populated environments with high interpersonal contact, such as rehabilitation centers housing children from correctional facilities. Scabies infection can be prevented with good personal and environmental hygiene practices. Adequate knowledge is crucial for the prevention and management of scabies infections. This study aims to analyze the influence of health promotion using animated video media in increasing the knowledge of rehabilitated children regarding the prevention and management of scabies. This study employs a pre-experimental design with a one-group Pre-test–Post-test approach. The study sample consisted of 50 respondents, selected using the total sampling technique. Research instruments included animated videos and a knowledge questionnaire. Data collection was conducted in June 2023, with a Pre-test administered before providing the animated video and a Post-test given after a 15-day interval. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test. The majority of respondents had a high school education or equivalent (54%). There was a significant increase in knowledge between the Pre-test (median: 16.50) and the Post-test (median: 19.00). The minimum Pre-test score rose from 2 to 11 in the Post-test. Bivariate analysis showed significant results, with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05). Animated videos are effective in increasing knowledge about scabies. This study is expected to serve as a media choice for health promotion related to scabies prevention. Keywords: Adolescents, Animated Video, Health Promotion, Scabies  ABSTRAK Infeksi kulit skabies sering terjadi di lingkungan padat dengan kontak interpersonal tinggi, seperti panti rehabilitasi yang dihuni oleh anak-anak dari lembaga pemasyarakatan. Pencegahan infeksi skabies dapat dilakukan melalui praktik kebersihan diri dan lingkungan yang baik. Peningkatan pengetahuan tentang skabies sangat penting untuk mengurangi risiko dan penyebaran infeksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh promosi kesehatan menggunakan video animasi dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan anak-anak di panti rehabilitasi tentang pencegahan dan penanganan skabies. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Pre-Experimental dengan rancangan one group Pre-test–Post-test, melibatkan 50 responden yang dipilih secara total sampling. Data dikumpulkan pada Juni 2023 melalui Pre-testsebelum penayangan video animasi, dan Post-test dilakukan 15 hari setelah penayangan video animasi pada responden yang sama. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan, dari median 16,50 pada Pre-test menjadi 19,00 pada Post-test, dengan nilai p-value yang sangat signifikan (0,000). Penemuan ini menegaskan bahwa video animasi efektif sebagai alat untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang pencegahan skabies di kalangan anak-anak panti rehabilitasi. Kata Kunci: Promosi Kesehatan, Remaja, Skabies, Video Animasi

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the mental health of health workers. The pandemic situation has affected health workers physically and mentally. Inadequate knowledge about COVID-19 and fear of new diseases have the potential to cause stigma. Health workers exposed to COVID-19 while carrying out their duties are also stigmatized. This article aims to identify the stigma experienced by health workers due to COVID-19. EBSCO and ProQuest electronic database searches used search terms and found 10 articles that met the inclusion criteria. Two themes were found: the causes of stigma and the impact of stigma on health workers. The results of the review found that the stigma experienced had an impact on the mental health condition of health workers and affected the quality of professional work. It is imperative to undertake initiatives aimed at mitigating the stigma experienced by healthcare professionals in order to uphold their mental well-being and ensure their sustained professional performance. BAHASA INDONESIA Pandemi COVID-19 telah memengaruhi kesehatan mental tenaga kesehatan. Situasi pandemi telah memengaruhi kondisi petugas kesehatan secara fisik dan mental. Pengetahuan tentang COVID-19 yang belum memadai dan ketakutan terhadap penyakit baru berpotensi menimbulkan stigma. Petugas kesehatan yang terpapar COVID-19 dalam menjalankan tugas turut mendapatkan stigma. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana stigma yang dialami petugas kesehatan akibat COVID-19. Pencarian database elektronik EBSCO dan ProQuest dilakukan dengan menggunakan istilah pencarian dan di temukan 10 artikel yang sesuaidengankriterianinklusi. Ditemukan dua tema dalamyaknipenyebab stigma dan dampak stigma padapetugaskesehatan. Hasil telaah menemukan stigma yang dialami berdampak pada penurunan kondisi kesehatan mental petugas kesehatan dan memengaruhi kualitas kerja profesional. Upaya menurunkan stigma padapetugas kesehatan perlu dilakukan agar kesehatan mental petugas kesehatan tetap terjaga dan tetap dapat bekerja secara profesional.
