Abstract

Written theses and dissertations must be unique scientific studies that are either completed or have not been previously investigated. The main criteria for theses and dissertations should be the determination of the title, grand theory, and research idea as well as originality, to ensure that the scientific work produced is not just testing a theory or previous research findings. However, it can contribute fresh ideas and novel research to the study of Islamic preaching. Writing theses and dissertations can also give students research expertise that they can use later on in their studies of Islamic preaching. Students will gain real new experiences through the process of discovery, study, and in-depth scientific thinking about the science of islamic preaching by studying and examining the most recent research areas. Islamic studies lecturers direct the orientation to expertise and classes in the schools overseen by this compartment in accordance with their preferences. It is preferable if Islamic studies lecturers initially have the flexibility to select their compartment. The function of developing expertise or a specific subject requires lecturers who have specialized in that area to maintain a commitment to that function or subject. Tesis dan Disertasi yang ditulis harus merupakan kajian original keilmuan yang ada atau belum pernah diteliti oleh peneliti sebelumnya. Penetuan judul, grand teori dan konsep penelitian serta orisinalitas tesis dan disertasi harus menjadi syarat utama, sehingga karya ilmiah yang dihasilkan tidak hanya sekedar menguji suatu teori atau temuan penelitian sebelumnya. Namun dapat memberikan teori dan kontribusi baru di bidang ilmu dakwah. Penulisan tesis dan disertasi juga dapat memberikan pengalaman meneliti bagi mahasiswa untuk melakukan penelitian berikutnya, ketika mereka telah terjun di medan dakwah. Dengan mengkaji dan mengeksplorasi bidang-bidang penelitian terkini, mahasiswa akan mendapatkan pengalaman baru secara nyata melalui proses penemuan, pengkajian, penelaahan dan pemikiran ilmiah yang mendalam tentang ilmu dakwah. Para dosen Islamic studies sesuai preferensinya memandu orientasi amaliyah Islam tersebut pada keahlian dan matakuliah-matakuliah di fakultas-fakultas yang bernaung di bawah kompartemen tersebut. Sebaiknya para dosen Islami studies memiliki kebebasan awal untuk memilih kompartemennya. Dosen telah masuk ke suatu bidang keahlian ilmu perlu ada komitmen berkelanjutan atas fungsi pengembangan keahlian atau matakuliah tertentu.

Abstract

The development of da'wah in the present, known as the digital era, has been increasingly advanced in the use of da'wah media. The millennial generation, as a generation that is responsive to technology, does not miss using internet media to convey da'wah messages with its journalistic da'wah. One of the selected media is social media, this is because social media users are increasing every year in Indonesia. In the use of social media and internet networks, communication that is built in da'wah journalism certainly follows the journalistic code of ethics and remains consistent in spreading the function of da'wah journalism as prophetic journalism.

Abstract

Discussing the theme of the historical construction of the Qur'an (târîkh Al-Qur'ân) is both interesting and challenging. It is interesting because this discussion will guide a reviewer on a series of scattered information related to the history of the Qur'an. For Qur'anic scholars who take a keen interest in this field, they will certainly be motivated to parse and frame each piece of data and information into a valuable monument of discourse on the history of the Qur'an. Interestingly, this study will arouse the passion of faith of a Muslim scholar to try to stem any current of discourse that has the potential to break the wall of faith in the revelation of the Qur'an. But on the other hand, this study can ignite a spark of discourse that is a little bolder because this discussion also presents a variety of information that sometimes collides with each other and demands the accuracy of a researcher. The reviewer who is lulled by the amount of data and sometimes negates each other may be trapped in a labyrinth space because of confusion in determining the right direction.

Abstract

This article examines Muhammad Hamidullah’s critical approach to the Quran and hadith, highlighting his significant contributions to Islamic scholarship. This literature-based study utilizes primary sources authored by Hamidullah, such as “Muhammad: The Prophet of Islam,” “A History of Muslim Philosophy,” “The Quran: A Critical Translation,” and “The Prophet’s Last Sermon,” complemented by secondary sources that contextualize his thoughts. Employing a juridical sociological approach, the research analyzes Hamidullah’s method of integrating critical and analytical perspectives within an Islamic framework. The findings reveal that Hamidullah’s work successfully bridges the intellectual gap between Western and Muslim scholarship through his application of critical historical methods. His contributions underscore the potential for a nuanced understanding of Islamic texts that respects both scholarly rigor and religious identity

Abstract

In 2022, the As-Syafiiyah Islamic University in Jakarta's Islamic Education Program held a community service program in Singaraja Village, Indramayu District, West Java. The goal of this event is to: (1) encourage Islamic Elementary School (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) teachers to implement a curriculum-based approach to teaching the Science of Qur'anic Recitation (The Science of Qur'anic Tajweed), (2) motivate elementary school teachers to make the Science of Qur'anic Recitation enjoyable and accessible, and (3) inspire students. The most common method is participatory delegation, in which citizens and leaders collaborate to provide public services. The conference will be held in September 2023, with 60 students, 7 lecturers, 37 Natural Resources (SDA) teachers from 9 schools, and 11 student classes participating. The findings of this study show that: 1) students benefited long-term from implementing a classroom learning strategy; 2) students felt helped in understanding the Science of Qur'anic Recitation (The Science of Qur'anic Tajweed), became more interactive in their learning, and believed that the Science of Qur'anic Recitation is not difficult; and 3) students believed that the Science of Qur'anic Recitation is not difficult. 3) The majority of Islamic Elementary School (MI) teachers in Singaraja Village, Indramayu District, do not yet understand the implementation of problem-based learning and project-based learning approaches; 4) The majority of MI teachers in Singaraja Village, Indramayu District, continue to struggle with composing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions; 5) Some teachers struggle with solving literacy-related questions; and 6) Positive responses were received from students.

Abstract

The Prophet Muhammad had succeeded in changing the land of Yathrib, with its bad connotation of population and civilization, into Medina as a developed country, which brought about rapid changes. The influence of this society reached areas occupied by the Persian and Roman civilizations for hundreds of years. All were stunned by the speed with which Islam built a superior new society, and all of its dimensions were firmly rooted in faith. The concept of the Medina Community has become proof that the source of knowledge, the source of civilization, and the superpower society originate in this city. This success indicates the intelligence of the da'wah strategy that the Prophet carried out. This paper uses a qualitative research type of literature study. The results of this paper prove that there are several main strategies that the prophet used in building the Medina Society. This is also in line with the concept of developing modern society from a contemporary perspective.

Abstract

Manajemen Sekolah dalam Pengembangan Sinergitas Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam merujuk pada usaha pengelolaan yang efektif dan efisien dalam aspek administratif, organisasional, dan kepemimpinan di SMA Budi Mulia Utama, Jakarta Timur. Tujuan utamanya adalah memperkuat kerjasama dan sinergi di antara para guru Pendidikan Agama Islam. Penelitian ini menitikberatkan perhatian pada peran manajemen sekolah dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung kolaborasi guru. Melalui studi kasus di Kecamatan Duren Sawit, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi sinergitas guru sebagai krusial dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan agama Islam di SMA tersebut. Penelitian ini mengkaji peran manajemen sekolah dalam mengembangkan sinergitas guru Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMA Budi Mulia Utama, Jakarta Timur. Fokus utama penelitian mencakup pemahaman terhadap faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi sinergitas guru, evaluasi implementasi kebijakan dan program manajemen sekolah yang mendukung sinergitas tersebut, serta identifikasi tantangan dan hambatan dalam meningkatkan kolaborasi di kalangan guru Pendidikan Agama Islam. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mencari solusi yang telah diterapkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi praktik manajemen yang mendukung tujuan sinergitas guru. Hasil penelitian menegaskan bahwa manajemen sekolah di SMA Budi Mulia Utama, Jakarta Timur, memainkan peran krusial dalam pengembangan sinergitas guru Pendidikan Agama Islam. Temuan menyoroti pentingnya faktor-faktor seperti komunikasi efektif, pengembangan profesionalisme, dan pemberdayaan guru sebagai pendorong utama terbentuknya sinergi di antara para pendidik. Meskipun dihadapi beberapa tantangan, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi solusi yang tepat dan berkelanjutan untuk mengatasi hambatan tersebut. Sebagai hasilnya, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam pemahaman tentang efektivitas manajemen sekolah dalam mengelola sinergitas guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, dengan dampak positif pada peningkatan kualitas pendidikan agama Islam di SMA Budi Mulia Utama dan memberikan panduan bagi sekolah-sekolah lain dalam meningkatkan kolaborasi di konteks pendidikan agama Islam

Abstract

This article examines the extent of the role of Sufism da'wah in improving the quality of faith of the Indonesian people, especially the Betawi community. Where the Betawi community experiences moral decadence, and with its geographical location, namely the Metropolitan City, the Betawi community is infected with a hedonistic and realistic lifestyle. This research is a field research. A sociological approach is used to analyze what Sufism looks like in the Betawi community in Indonesia. The theory used is the sociology of knowledge. This research focuses on da'wah as a center of study, and Sufism as an indicator in the formation of Betawi community morals. The results showed that forging life through Sufism da'wah produced good results in the Betawi community. Sufism da'wah in Indonesia as a medium of da'wah in Islamic Education aims to sharpen the heart and be forged with the application of Sufism teachings. So that problems are realized because of the preservation of reason.

Abstract

Perilaku seorang Muslim dalam menjalankan ajaran agama Islam harus dengan jalan berdakwah yang dalam prosesnya melibatkan unsur-unsur antara lain: da’i (subjek), maaddah (materi), thariqah (metode), wasilah (media), dan mad’u (objek) dalam mencapai maqashid (tujuan) dakwah. Anjuran berdakwah bersumber dalam QS. An-Nahl ayat 125. Metode dakwah terbagi menjadi beberapa medote yakni: (a) metode dakwah bil hikmah, (b) metode dakwah mauidzah al-hasanah, (c) metode dakwah mujadalah. Kuncinya apapun metodenya, dakwah merupakan kewajiban setiap muslim tanpa terkecuali. Di tengah arus globalisasi ini, tantangan untuk menyebarkan nilai-nilai ke Islaman kian berat. Kemajuan teknologi dan informasi sangat pesat ditengah masyarakat membuat para mubaligh harus berfikir keras untuk merumuskan metode-metode dakwah yang lebih bisa dan mudah diterima oleh mad’u secara efektif. Metode berarti cara atau jalan yang ditempuh, maka metode menyangkut masalah cara kerja untuk dapat memahami objek yang menjadi sasaran ilmu yang bersangkutan. Fungsi metode sebagai alat untuk mencapai tujuan. Metode digunakan agar manusia merasa ikut berperan dalam menentukan suatu kebenaran, dan memiliki rasa tanggung jawab. Oleh karenanya, untuk mencapai tujuan dakwah yang efektif di era modern maka juru dakwah haruslah mampu memiliki pengetahuan dan wawasan yang luas, menyampaikan materi atau isi pesan dakwah yang aktual, dengan menggunakan metode yang tepat dan relevan dengan kondisi masyarakat modern, serta menggunakan media komunikasi yang sesuai dengan kondisi dan kemajuan masyarakat modern yang dihadapinya. Sehingga Ilmu yang banyak akan memberikan kontribusi terhadap ilmu dakwah, karena ilmu dakwah itu sendiri, membahas proses komunikasi yang berisikan ajaran Islam dari seseorang atau masyarakat yang lain. Oleh karena itu, dapat diartikan bahwa dakwah adalah suatu bentuk komunikasi dari sekian banyak bentuk komunikasi yang menggunakan ajaran Islam dan dalam pelaksanaannya dibatasi oleh ketentuan-ketentuan yang ada dalam ajaran Islam.

Abstract

Traditional Orientalism studies are often seen as neglecting the internal and local contexts of Eastern societies, particularly in the study of the Qur'an and Tafsir. This approach frequently gives rise to biased views and stereotypes about Arab and Islamic culture. This article examines Armando Salvatore's contributions to the development of critical Orientalism, especially in relation to the study of the Qur'an and Tafsir. Critical Orientalism offers a more contextual and inclusive approach, taking into account local social and political dynamics, while also creating space for perspectives from within Eastern societies themselves. This research analyzes Salvatore's major works through an in-depth literature review, focusing on how his critical orientalism approach can be applied to understanding Arab culture and the interpretation of the Quran. The methods used in this study include a critical analysis of Salvatore's texts as well as a comparison with traditional orientalist approaches. This study found that Salvatore successfully challenged biases in conventional Orientalism and emphasized the importance of understanding the Quran and Arab culture through local and contextual perspectives.The implications of this approach in the study of the Quran and Tafsir are very important, as it offers a new way to understand religious texts that is more sensitive to the Arab socio-cultural context. Salvatore's critical orientalism approach not only helps bridge the gap between Western understanding and Eastern realities but also has the potential to enrich Quranic exegesis studies through a more inclusive and dynamic perspective. Kajian orientalisme tradisional seringkali dianggap mengabaikan konteks internal dan lokal masyarakat Timur, terutama dalam studi Al-Qur'an dan Tafsir. Pendekatan ini sering memunculkan pandangan yang bias dan stereotip tentang budaya Arab dan Islam. Artikel ini mengkaji kontribusi Armando Salvatore dalam pengembangan orientalisme kritis, khususnya dalam kaitannya dengan studi Al-Qur'an dan Tafsir. Orientalisme kritis menawarkan pendekatan yang lebih kontekstual dan inklusif, memperhitungkan dinamika sosial dan politik lokal, serta membuka ruang bagi pandangan dari dalam masyarakat Timur sendiri. Penelitian ini menganalisis karya-karya utama Salvatore melalui tinjauan literatur mendalam, dengan fokus pada bagaimana pendekatan orientalisme kritisnya dapat diterapkan dalam memahami budaya Arab dan tafsir Al-Qur'an. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup analisis kritis terhadap teks-teks Salvatore serta perbandingan dengan pendekatan orientalis tradisional. Studi ini menemukan bahwa Salvatore berhasil menantang bias-bias dalam orientalisme konvensional dan menggarisbawahi pentingnya memahami Al-Qur'an dan budaya Arab melalui perspektif lokal dan kontekstual. Implikasi dari pendekatan ini dalam studi Al-Qur'an dan Tafsir sangatlah penting, karena menawarkan cara baru untuk memahami teks-teks keagamaan yang lebih peka terhadap konteks sosial-budaya Arab. Pendekatan orientalisme kritis Salvatore tidak hanya membantu menjembatani kesenjangan antara pemahaman Barat dan realitas Timur, tetapi juga berpotensi memperkaya studi tafsir Al-Qur'an melalui perspektif yang lebih inklusif dan dinamis.
