Abstract

Many student problems often trigger bullying behavior, usually driven by the desire to gain attention or feel valued among peers. When students fail to find a supportive social circle, they may act out by mocking or disturbing others. Such behavior often appears as showing off, teasing, mischief, or unnecessary interruptions during lessons. Addressing these issues requires collaboration among homeroom teachers, BK (guidance counselors), Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, and parents. However, this effort is not easy and needs continuous socialization and awareness programs involving both school staff and families. Bullying has wide-ranging effects, especially for victims who face increased risks of physical and mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, and physical complaints like headaches and stomachaches. Victims may also lose motivation to learn and feel unsafe at school. This study used a qualitative method to explore social issues like bullying. Findings show that bullying is still prevalent among Indonesian high school students, largely due to poor parental attention and negative peer influence. Therefore, the role of teachers, especially PAI and BK teachers, is vital in providing consistent guidance and intervention to prevent and reduce bullying behavior within the school environment.

Abstract

AbstractLearning media has a crucial role in improving student learning outcomes, particularly in the subject of Al-Qur’an Hadith. The development of media in the learning process serves as an effort to foster students’ motivation and interest in learning, which ultimately leads to better academic performance. This emphasises the need of conducting learning activities using a variety of media—anywhere, anytime, and under any conditions. The creation of smartphone-based learning materials for Al-Qur'an Hadith is regarded as an excellent technique for making learning more interesting and meaningful. This study addresses three main issues: “What is the current condition of smartphone-based learning media for Al-Qur’an Hadith at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Yayasan Pendidikan Karya Setia (YPKS) Padangsidimpuan?”. “How can the development of smartphone-based learning media for Al-Qur’an Hadith enhance students’ interest in learning?” and “what is the validity and effectiveness of the developed smartphone-based learning media in increasing students’ learning interest at MTs YPKS Padangsidimpuan?”.The aim of this study is to define, analyse, and create smartphone-based learning media for Al-Qur'an Hadith to increase student learning interest at MTs YPKS Padangsidimpuan. This is a field research study using a research and development (RD) approach to create a practical instructional product. Data were gathered using interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation.The findings show that the development of smartphone-based learning media for Al-Qur'an Hadith occurred in five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Based on these stages, the findings revealed a considerable rise in students' interest in learning via smartphone-based media, indicating that the developed product is viable and appropriate for educational application.AbstrakMedia pembelajaran memiliki peran penting dalam peningkatan hasil belajar siswa khususnya pada bidang studi Al-Qur’an Hadits. Pengembangan media dalam proses pembelajaran merupakan salah satu upaya menumbuhkan motivasi minat belajar yang pada akhirnya hasil belajar siswa semakin meningkat. Hal ini menjadikan tanpa alasan untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan berbaigai media dimanapun, kapanpun, dan dalam kondisi apapun. Pengembangan media pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadits berbasis smartphone dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, merupakan langkah efektif yang dapat dilakukan agar pembelajaran lebih menarik dan bermakna. Dalam penelitian ini, masalah utama yang dibahas adalah bagaimana kondisi objektif media pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadits berbasi Smartphone di Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Yayasan Pendidikan Karya Setia (YPKS) Padangsidimpuan, bagaimana pengembangan media pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadits berbasis Smatrphone dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa serta, bagaimana validitas, dan efektifitas pengembangan media pembelajaran al-Qur’an Hadits berbasis Smartphone dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Yayasan Pendidikan Karya Setia (YPKS) Padangsidimpuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis, serta mengembangkan terkait media pembalajaran Al-Qur’an Hadits berbasis smarthphone dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Yayasan Pendidikan Karya Setia (YPKS) Padangsidimpuan. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research).Penelitian ini mengacu pada konsep metode penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) atau yang sering dikenal dengan istilah penelitian RD yaitu untuk menghasilkan produk. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui teknik wawancara, angket, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadits berbasis smartphone dalam meningkatkan minat belajar belajar siswa di Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Yayasan Pendidikan Karya Setia (YPKS) Padangsidimpuan, terdapat lima  tahapan yaitu : Analisis, Desain, pengembangan, Implementasi, dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan tahapan tersebut, menghasilkan peningkatan minat belajar siswa dalam penggunaan media berbasis smartphone, sehingga produk yang dihasilkan layak digunakan.

Abstract

The decline of the Arab-Malay academic tradition among students highlights the need for relevant and contextual learning innovations. This study aims to develop a learning model for Arab-Malay script to improve imla (dictation) learning outcomes in Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) in Siabu District, Mandailing Natal Regency. The research employed the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The trial was conducted in three MDTs and showed that the developed Sahl method met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Students' learning outcomes improved in most madrasahs, and both teachers and students responded very positively regarding the practicality of the method. These findings indicate that the Sahl method is feasible for use in imla learning at MDTs as an effort to preserve the Arab-Malay cultural heritage. Abstrak Penurunan budaya akademik Arab Melayu di kalangan pelajar mendorong perlunya inovasi pembelajaran yang relevan dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran aksara Arab Melayu guna meningkatkan hasil belajar imla di Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) Kecamatan Siabu, Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. Metode yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan ADDIE, yang mencakup tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Uji coba dilaksanakan di tiga MDT, dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa metode Sahl yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa di sebagian besar madrasah, dengan respon guru dan siswa yang sangat positif terhadap kepraktisan metode. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa metode Sahl layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran imla di MDT sebagai upaya pelestarian budaya Arab Melayu.

Abstract

Diarrhea remains one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality among children under five in Indonesia. Prevention efforts based on local wisdom, such as Poda Na Lima, a traditional life philosophy of the Batak Angkola community, hold significant potential as a promotive and preventive approach to child health. This study aims to explore the experiences of mothers of children under five in implementing Poda Na Lima as a preventive measure against diarrhea in their children. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological method was employed. Participants were selected using purposive sampling, with the number determined by the principle of data saturation, resulting in a total of ten participants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews guided by a semi-structured interview protocol developed based on the five principles of Poda Na Lima. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data. The findings of the study revealed five themes: maintaining cleanliness of the heart, maintaining personal hygiene, maintaining cleanliness of clothing, maintaining cleanliness of the home, and maintaining cleanliness of the yard. Mothers of young children perceive Poda Na Lima not merely as a traditional custom, but also as a guide for daily healthy living. Personal, family, and environmental hygiene practices are considered key to diarrhea prevention.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the management of noble character development through religious extracurricular activities in Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools in Panyabungan District, Mandailing Natal Regency. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The subjects included principals, vice principals for student affairs, and extracurricular supervisors at SD IT Al-Munawwar, SD IT Al-Husnayain, and SD IT Al-Furqon. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that management functions—planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising—were systematically applied. Planning was carried out through annual programs, syllabi, and lesson plans; organizing involved a clear division of responsibilities; implementation was conducted regularly using methods of exemplification, habituation, and wise advice; while supervision was done through periodic evaluations. Supporting factors included adequate facilities, a religious school culture, and teacher involvement, whereas inhibiting factors were the lack of focus among some students. Thus, religious extracurricular activities significantly contribute to the development of students’ noble character in Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools

Abstract

Education is a shared responsibility, not only of the government but also of parents, the community, and the madrasah committee. Effective collaboration is essential to creating a conducive and enjoyable learning environment. This study employs a qualitative method to examine the quality of education at MIN Lopian, the role of the madrasah committee in improving educational quality, and the supporting and inhibiting factors. The research informants include the madrasah committee, homeroom teachers, and the vice principal for curriculum affairs. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the madrasah committee plays a role as an advisor in program planning, a financial and manpower supporter, a supervisor of educational policies, and a mediator between parents and the madrasah. The quality of education at MIN Lopian is supported by students' motivation, teacher guidance, and adequate facilities. The teaching and learning process incorporates various methods, including daily religious practice. As a result, students excel academically and non-academically while demonstrating discipline and good character. The factors supporting the committee’s role include a shared vision, effective communication, and transparency between the madrasah and the committee. Meanwhile, the main challenges are limited human resources, time constraints, and coordination issues among committee members.

Abstract

The learning of Qur’an and Hadith plays a significant role in shaping students’ character and social attitudes. However, at MTsN Persiapan 3 Padangsidimpuan, there are still challenges such as limited teaching materials and insufficient media to support students' understanding of social values. This study aims to develop Qur’an and Hadith instructional materials to improve students’ social attitudes using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The analysis phase identified students’ needs, followed by the design of instructional materials based on Qur’anic and Hadith values. The development stage included expert validation and limited trials. Implementation was carried out with Grade VII students. Validation results indicated the materials were highly valid: subject matter experts (93.1%), media experts (94%), and language experts (93.1%). The practicality was also high, with positive responses from students (81%) and Qur’an-Hadith teachers (87.5%). The effectiveness of the materials in enhancing social attitudes—such as empathy, cooperation, and social responsibility—was very satisfactory, with a score of 2.220 and a percentage of 85.3%. Therefore, the developed instructional materials are considered appropriate and effective for use in Qur’an and Hadith learning at MTsN Persiapan 3 Padangsidimpuan.

Abstract

Negative behaviors among teenagers—such as fighting, alcohol abuse, and criminal activity—are increasingly prevalent and have become a matter of public concern. This trend reflects a weakness in character education and a lack of influence from religious education, particularly from parents and community leaders. This study aims to develop an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) educational module for parents and community leaders to address negative youth behaviors in Paran Napa Dolok Village, Barumun Barat Subdistrict, Padang Lawas Regency. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) based on the 4D model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The results indicate that the developed module is "valid" (media validator: 74.2%, material validator: 85%) and highly practical (parents: 82.9%, community leaders: 83%). The module contains content that is easy to understand and relevant to community needs. Collaboration between parents and community leaders has proven effective in shaping adolescent character. However, challenges such as limited resources and diverse backgrounds still need to be addressed through continued support from various parties.
