Abstract

This article aims to describe how teachers identify the classroom challenges and strategies as a reflection of their held meanings of inclusive education. The research data was obtained from 20 teachers who filled out short fills from questionnaires distributed online. Data is analyzed using thematic analysis where data is reduced and categorized into themes and subthemes based on similarity. The results show that teachers tend to use stricter view on inclusive education as education intended for children with special needs, while the challenges faced by teachers in the classroom include challenges related to social aspects, such as how to communicate and interact with students with disabilities, understand the needs and character of variations in existing disabilities, and pedagogical challenges, such as providing instruction,  material, as well as classroom management. Strategies used by teachers include communication strategies and psychological approaches to deal with the social aspects of the challenges faced, and pedagogical strategies to overcome challenges in classroom teaching. The results of this study show the importance of social and pedagogic competence for teachers in adapting to the complexity in the classroom.

Abstract

Title The diverse characteristics of students are a challenge for teachers to accommodate students' learning needs. This problem is also faced by teachers at SD Islam Kota Blitar. The problem faced by these teachers is to design learning that is able to meet the needs of the various characteristics of learning students, both regular and children with special needs. One strategy that can be used to achieve this in the era of Merdeka Belajar is Differentiation Learning. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills in preparing Differentiated Learning Plan for Elementary School teachers. The expected target is 65% of the partners are very satisfied with the guidance that has been carried out by the Team. The data is described through satisfaction surveys and mentoring processes for teachers as training participants. The methods used in this training include providing contextual understanding of understanding student learning styles, learning media focused on student learning styles and learning differences. The training continued with hands-on practice of compiling lesson plans. This training was carried out attractively by observing health protocols. At the end of the activity, it was found that on average 86.755% of the partners were very satisfied with the guidance carried out by the Team. It is hoped that participants will be able to apply the skills they have acquired on an ongoing basis in class

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) has emerged as a promising technology in the mental health field with the potential to change the approach to the management of anxiety disorders, including phobias. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of AR therapy in reducing anxiety levels in phobia sufferers, with a focus on patients' experiences and responses to this technology. The research method used was an experimental study with a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) design, involving two groups of participants: an experimental group that received AR therapy and a control group that did not receive the intervention or received conventional therapy. Measurements were carried out using a valid and reliable anxiety scale before and after the intervention to assess changes in anxiety symptoms. The results showed that AR therapy significantly reduced anxiety levels in participants in the experimental group compared to the control group. Participants who underwent AR therapy reported increased tolerance for previously fear-inducing situations, as well as improvements in their daily quality of life. In conclusion, the use of AR in phobia therapy offers an innovative and effective approach to reducing anxiety symptoms in phobia sufferers. By creating a controlled virtual environment, AR facilitates safe and scalable exposure to therapy for patients, overcoming some of the barriers that exist in conventional therapy. The clinical implications and potential further application of this technology in clinical practice need to be further investigated to maximize its benefits in the management of anxiety disorders.

Abstract

One of the challenges faced by teachers in inclusion schools is directing students according to students' interests and talents. This challenge has an impact on teachers' reluctance to put in more effort to help students with disabilities find appropriate talents and interests. This research is a descriptive quantitative research, which aims to change the attitude of inclusive school teachers using a typology approach to student work interests. The approach used is a typology of work interests developed from Holland's vocational-personality theory. This research was carried out on teachers in one of the private high school inclusive schools in Surabaya. The results showed a change in teachers' attitudes towards students with disabilities as shown by the desire to learn and apply new things that can help students with disabilities.

Abstract

Research shows that success rate of post-school outcomes is lower in students with disabilities. Providing an effective transition program at schools remains a challenge. The purpose of this study is to investigate the implementation of individual transition program into workplace for students with intellectual disability. This research is qualitative research with research action method. The research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya which is one of the inclusion schools that consistently implements transition programs for students with disabilities. The research data was collected through interview and observation to students with intellectual disability, special education teacher, workplace and parent surrounding their experiences in internship program. The results of the study based on thematic analysis found three major themes, namely self-determination, soft-skill, and environmental factors. The study concluded that personal and environmental factors are interrelated and serve as supporting factor to one another.

Abstract

AbstractThis study is aimed to obtain cognitive profile of children with congenital visual impairment. The method used is research synthesis. The sample in this study is 11 research-based references on visual impairment. The data is collected using online search engine that is google scholar using specific keywords. The references were chosen based on the relevance with criteria set up for this study. The variables in each articles were then identified assuming that there should be at least one variable in each research-based article. There were 5 variables identified that are reasoning, memory, spatial orientation, vocabulary, and verbal reasoning. Variables, aspects, and indicators were identified using reduction and coding. The result in this study is presented in a matrix consisting variable, aspects, and indicators of cognitive ability of children with visual impairment.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kognitif anak dan remaja tunanetra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sintesis riset (research synthesis). Sampel dalam penelitian ini merupakan 11 referensi ilmiah tentang ketunanetraan yang dianggap paling merepresentasikan fokus penelitian ini. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan mesin pencari daring, yaitu melalui scholar.google.com, dengan memasukkan kata kunci tertentu. Referensi ilmiah dipilih berdasarkan kesesuaian dengan kriteria dan batasan dalam penelitian ini. Variabel diidentifikasi berdasarkan fokus dari masing-masing referensi ilmiah, dengan asumsi bahwa referensi dari hasil penelitian memiliki fokus variabel tertentu yang diukur. Adapun 5 variabel tersebut adalah penalaran, ingatan, orientasi spasial, perbendaharaan kata, dan penalaran kata. Variabel, aspek, dan indikator diidentifikasi melalui reduksi dan diberi coding. Hasil penelitian ini dituangkan dalam bentuk matriks yang menggambarkan variabel, aspek, dan indikator kemampuan kognitif anak tunanetra.

Abstract

The use of gadget besides resulted in positive impacts with this renewal of the rapid information and knowledge, unwittingly also had a negative impact, one of these is the dependence.The negative impact of the use of other gawai is uneasy if not gadget holds or operates, incapacitates the socialization of children, cognitive and ability.This will be more terrible if the role without of supervision the neighborhood or parents, so that the child does not have control over the use of gadget. This study attempts to develop reading materials friendly children to overcome addiction gadget in young junior high school. This study using ADDIE model was with developmental step of the 5, analisys, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Output of this research is give aspiration of reading materials to overcome gadget addiction that emerged in the community and the publication of articles.

Abstract

Abstract This paper is aimed to describe extracuricular advocacy activity at Islamic Primary School Bahagia, Wonokromo, Surabaya, as a community service conducted by team of lecturers of Universitas Negeri Surabaya. This school is particularly chosen because it has a unique social-economy background and limitations. The advocacy provided was to improve teachers’ soft-skills and creativity to be able to design supplementary activities to help students grow their interest and soft-skill as well. The final outcome is to see students’ growth in self-confidence, team work, respct and toleration to each other, which also support their academic achievement.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan dalam pendidikan menjadi kunci dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan yang efektif. pemilihan gaya kepemimpinan yang tepat oleh kepala sekolah akan mampu membawa sekolah kearah peningkatan kualitas dan pelayanan. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis tentang gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja guru dan tenaga kependidikan Di SD Negeri Babatan I/456 Surabaya dan menelusuri tentang faktor yang mempengaruhi gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SD Negeri Babatan I/456 Surabaya. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan rancangan penelitian studi kasus. teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi terbuka nonpartisipan, wawancara semi terstruktur dan studi dokumentasi. teknik dalam keabsahan data menggunakan kredibiltas, transferbilitas, dependabilitas dan konfirmabilitas. Hasil penelitian dapat dijelaskan sebagai berikut: (1) gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah disimpulkan dari delapan aspek yang telah ditentukan oleh peneliti yaitu: (a) perilaku keseharian kepala sekolah menunjukkan sikap perhatian, terbuka, periang, tegas, bijaksana, disiplin dan komitmen serta memiliki emosi yang stabil; (b) pendelegasian tugas dilakukan dengan adil dan pemberian pengarahan; (c) pengambilan keputusan dilakukan dengan bersama/mufakat; (d) pengawasan yang dilakukan dengan memantau progress secara langsung; (e) pengembangan sekolah meliputi pengembangan sarana dan prasarana sekolah, ekstrakurikuler, pembelajaran dan guru dan tenaga kependidikan; (f) komunikasi yang terbuka dan dua arah dengan menggunakan bahasa yang jelas dan mudah dipahami; (g) motivasi dengan pemberian dorongan/semangat dan memenuhi kebutuhan seluruh personil sekolah dan (h) penghargaan berupa pujian dan ucapan terimakasih. Dalam memimpin kepala sekolah menggunakan gaya kepemimpinan kelompok. Sehingga dapat dipahami dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja guru dan tenaga kependidikan kepala sekolah melakukan pemberdayaan guru dan tenaga kependidikan, pengembangan kompetensi guru dan tenaga kependidikan, pemberian motivasi dan pemberian penghargaan; (2) faktor yang mempengaruhi gaya kepemimpinan kelompok adalah: (a) diri pemimpin memiliki kepribadian, pengalaman masa lalu, serta harapan yang tinggi kepada seluruh personil sekolah untuk mengembangkan sekolah; (b) ciri atasan yang mengedepankan proses pelaksanaan tugas; (c) ciri bawahan yang menunjukkan semangat dan kemauan untuk berubah; (d) persyaratan tugas dengan memberi pengarahan mengenai kejelasan tugas; (e) iklim organisasi dan kebijakan mampu membantu meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah persepsi dukungan sosial mampu memprediksikan burnout akademik selama pandemi, serta bagaimana pengaruh persepsi dukungan sosial terhadap burnout akademik pada mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 243 mahasiswa, yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengolahan data menggunakan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara signifikan persepsi dukungan sosial mampu memprediksikan kondisi burnout akademik selama pandemi pada mahasiswa. Dimana semakin tinggi persepsi dukungan sosial yang dimiliki mahasiswa, menunjukkan semakin rendah burnout akademik yang dialami selama pandemi. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa, dukungan dari keluarga diketahui dapat memberikan pengaruh yang lebih kuat terhadap burnout akademik selama pandemi pada mahasiswa, daripada dukungan dari teman maupun orang lain. Kata Kunci: Dukungan Sosial, Burnout Akademik, Pandemi Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine whether the perception of social support is able to predict academic burnout during a pandemic, and how the influence of perceptions of social support on academic burnout in students. The subjects of this study were students with a total of 243 students who were obtained using accidental sampling technique. This study uses a quantitative approach with data processing techniques using regression analysis. The results showed that significantly the perception of social support was able to predict academic burnout conditions during the pandemic in students. Where the higher the perception of social support that students have, the lower the academic burnout experienced during the pandemic. This study also revealed that support from family is known to have a stronger influence on academic burnout during the pandemic in college students, than support from friends and significant others.
