Abstract

This study was aimed to examine the relationship betwen emotional intelligence and aggressive behavior on social media among students of state senior high school (SMA Negeri) 1 “X” in  Gresik regency. There were 232 students involved in this study. This study hypothesizes that emotional intelligence is correlated to aggressive behavior on social media among the subjects. Data collected using emotional intelligence and aggressive behavior scales and analyzed using Pearson’s product moment. The result shows that the correlation coefficient value is 0,859 (r = 0,859) with the significance level 0.000. The significance level is less than 0,005 (p < 0.005) which means that the hypothesis of this study is accepted. It can be concluded from the result that there is a significant correlation between emotional intelligence and aggressive behavior on social media among the subjects. The positive value of the coefficient shows that the higher the level of emotional intelligence of the students, the less aggressive their behaviors on social media will be, and vice versa.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan perilaku agresivitas di social media pada remaja SMA Negeri 1 “X” Gresik. Hipotesis kerja (Ha) yang diajukan adalah sebagai berikut. Ada Hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan perilaku agresi di social media pada remaja siswa SMAN 1 “X” Gresik. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 232 siswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk skala kecerdasan emosi dan perilaku agresi di media sosial. Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment. Hasil analisis data menunjukan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,859 (r = 0,859) dengan taraf signifikasi 0,000 (p<0,005). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan perilaku agresi di social media pada subjek penelitian, dan nilai positif menunjukan hubungan searah antara dua variabel yaitu kecerdasan emosi dengan perilaku agresivitas di social media. Semakin tinggi tingkat kecerdasan emosi yang dimiliki siswa maka akan semakin rendah perilaku agresi di social media, begitu pula sebaliknya.

Abstract

Video offers a richer source of data and has been proven to be useful as a primary source of research. A video from Youtube website was used as a primary source for analysis in this paper. This paper is applying a discourse analysis as suggested by Fairclough (2003) about the discourse as a way of representing; how the discourse was used to express and imply the social relation and action, and the belief committed by the user of the discourse. The analysis was aimed to identify teacher’s idea of good teaching by comparing it to relevant theories. The analysis found that cognitive-related terms were consistently appearing in the teacher’s discourses; therefore, cognitive theories were used to elaborate a deeper meaning of the discourses. It was concluded that good teaching for the teacher was to focus on students’ cognitive higher development.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the correlation between self efficacy and interest in entrepreneurship, the correlation between creativity and interest in entrepreneurship and, the correleation between self efficacy and creativity with interest in entrepreneurship. This research used quantitative approach with correlation method. Scales of self efficacy, creativity and entrepreneurship were given to 82 college students of School of Psychology from four different years who were selected using random technique sampling. This research applies 5% significant level. The data were analyzed using product moment, and multiple-correlation test. The significant value from correlation between self-efficacy and interest in entrepreneurship is 0,000, with correlation index of 0.703, which means that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and interest in entrepreneurship. The significant value from correlation between creativity and interest in entrepreneurship is 0,008, with correlation index of 0.292. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between creativity and interest in entrepreneurship. The result of multiple-correlation test shows correlation coefficient between self efficacy and creativity with entrepreneurship as much as 0,757 and Fh (57,2) > Ftabel (3,112). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between self efficacy and creativity with interest in entrepreneurship.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self efficaccy dengan minat berwirausaha, hubungan kreativitas dengan minat berwirausaha, dan hubungan self efficaccy dan kreativitas dengan minat berwirausaha. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Skala self efficacy,  skala kreativitas, dan skala minat berwirausaha diberikan kepada 82 subjek penelitian, yaitu mahasiswa Psikologi dari 4 angkatan yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling. Peneliti menggunakan taraf kesalahan 5% dan metode analisis data korelasi product moment dan uji korelasi ganda. Analisis data menunjukkan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara self efficacy dengan minat berwirausaha sebesar 0,000, dengan indeks korelasi sebesar 0,703. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan pula antara kreativitas dengan minat berwirausaha sebesar 0,008, dengan indeks korelasi sebesar 0,292. Hasil uji korelasi ganda menunjukkan koefisien korelasi antara self efficacy dan kreativitas dengan minat berwirausaha sebesar 0,757, dan Fh (57,2) > Ftabel (3,112), sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara self efficacy dan kreativitas dengan minat berwirausaha.

Abstract

his paper is aimed to compare two ethnographic works Learning to Labour (Willis, 1977), and Masculinity Beyond the Metropolis (Kenway, Kraack, & Hickey-Moody, 2004). The comparison is expected to illustrate how to make sense ethnographic work as a research methodology with its various types of epistemology and approach. The review will begin with a brief outline of the studies as described in each book and follow with further elaboration directed by several headings that covers Crotty (1998) four elements, namely epistemology, theoretical perspective, methodology, and method. It will also discuss the knowledge and values, and the theory of culture of each study.

Abstract

This essay is aimed to discuss one contemporary issue in relation to Indonesia. The issue being raised here is globalization and its effect on how Indonesia perceived itself as a nation. This paper will argue my position in viewing globalization as a force that seems to manifest in a blind movement that rapidly change our way of life at the cost of social justice. One example I emphasize on my paper is the impact in educational paradigm, which can be seen from some educational discourses.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan dalam pendidikan menjadi kunci dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan yang efektif. pemilihan gaya kepemimpinan yang tepat oleh kepala sekolah akan mampu membawa sekolah kearah peningkatan kualitas dan pelayanan. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis tentang gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja guru dan tenaga kependidikan Di SD Negeri Babatan I/456 Surabaya dan menelusuri tentang faktor yang mempengaruhi gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SD Negeri Babatan I/456 Surabaya. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan rancangan penelitian studi kasus. teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi terbuka nonpartisipan, wawancara semi terstruktur dan studi dokumentasi. teknik dalam keabsahan data menggunakan kredibiltas, transferbilitas, dependabilitas dan konfirmabilitas. Hasil penelitian dapat dijelaskan sebagai berikut: (1) gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah disimpulkan dari delapan aspek yang telah ditentukan oleh peneliti yaitu: (a) perilaku keseharian kepala sekolah menunjukkan sikap perhatian, terbuka, periang, tegas, bijaksana, disiplin dan komitmen serta memiliki emosi yang stabil; (b) pendelegasian tugas dilakukan dengan adil dan pemberian pengarahan; (c) pengambilan keputusan dilakukan dengan bersama/mufakat; (d) pengawasan yang dilakukan dengan memantau progress secara langsung; (e) pengembangan sekolah meliputi pengembangan sarana dan prasarana sekolah, ekstrakurikuler, pembelajaran dan guru dan tenaga kependidikan; (f) komunikasi yang terbuka dan dua arah dengan menggunakan bahasa yang jelas dan mudah dipahami; (g) motivasi dengan pemberian dorongan/semangat dan memenuhi kebutuhan seluruh personil sekolah dan (h) penghargaan berupa pujian dan ucapan terimakasih. Dalam memimpin kepala sekolah menggunakan gaya kepemimpinan kelompok. Sehingga dapat dipahami dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja guru dan tenaga kependidikan kepala sekolah melakukan pemberdayaan guru dan tenaga kependidikan, pengembangan kompetensi guru dan tenaga kependidikan, pemberian motivasi dan pemberian penghargaan; (2) faktor yang mempengaruhi gaya kepemimpinan kelompok adalah: (a) diri pemimpin memiliki kepribadian, pengalaman masa lalu, serta harapan yang tinggi kepada seluruh personil sekolah untuk mengembangkan sekolah; (b) ciri atasan yang mengedepankan proses pelaksanaan tugas; (c) ciri bawahan yang menunjukkan semangat dan kemauan untuk berubah; (d) persyaratan tugas dengan memberi pengarahan mengenai kejelasan tugas; (e) iklim organisasi dan kebijakan mampu membantu meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

The development of K-Pop Culture allows the emergence of the phenomenon of idol or celebrity worship among K-Pop fans, especially on Platform X. Data in Indonesia shows that celebrity worship is still found in early adulthood, contrary to the general view that this behavior decreases with age. Self-esteem is one of the factors associated with celebrity worship, where self-esteem is used as a variable in several studies related to its relationship with celebrity worship. However, there are inconsistencies in the results of previous studies regarding the relationship between self-esteem and celebrity worship. This study aims to investigate the relationship between self-esteem and celebrity worship in early adult K-Pop fans on Platform X. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach involving 279 early adult respondents who are K-Pop fans on Platform X. The research data were analyzed using product moment correlation. The research data were analyzed using product moment correlation with a correlation value obtained of 0.177 (r=0.177) and a significance value of 0.003 (sig.<0.05). These results mean that there is a relationship between self-esteem and celebrity worship in early adult K-Pop fans on Platform X.

Abstract

Indonesia is among the top 20 most religious countries, with religiosity levels between 80% and 90%. Despite this, religious-motivated terror threats remain common, negatively affecting both victims and society. Terrorists often use religious justifications for their actions, whereas others find that their faith and charitable acts enhance their happiness and well-being. This study aims to investigate the influence of religiosity on subjective well-being. Using a quantitative method, the study involved 208 residents of Tropodo Village aged over 17. It employed two instruments: The Modified BBC Subjective Well-Being Scale (BBC-SWB) and The Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS). Simple regression analysis showed a significant influence of religiosity on subjective well-being (p-value < 0.001). The R Square value of 0.161 indicates that religiosity accounts for 16.1% of the variance in subjective well-being.

Abstract

Early adulthood has the developmental crisis of forming interactions and relationships. Technological developments have facilitated interactions with media figures. A media figure is an individual, figure, or character that appears through media. Attachment styles are known to be one of the factors that influence the formation of parasocial interactions. A secure attachment style is one attachment style that indicates that individuals have a positive self-concept. This study aims to determine secure attachment style's effect on early adulthood parasocial interactions. The research method used is quantitative with a simple linear regression analysis technique. This research included 359 participants with an age range of 20 to 30 years. The results obtained a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05), indicating that secure attachment style significantly influences parasocial interactions in early adulthood.

Abstract

Students are in time emerging adults with a higher level of susceptibility to smoking. Health belief model is effective in explaining smoking behavior in students. This research aims to determine the relationship health belief model and smoking behavior in students. Quantitative methods were used in this research by distributing questionnaires on line. The research sample consisted of 272 male students, who had consumed at least 100 cigarettes during their lives, and were still smoking today. Based on the results of correlation analysis using pearson product moment it is known that the variable health belief model and smoking behavior has a significant relationship, namely 0.000 (p<0.05) with the strength of the correlation in the medium category and the direction of the relationship is negative.
