Abstract

This study analyzes community participation in sustainable environmental development in Ketapang Village, Sidoarjo. Descriptive research methods, including observations and interviews, were employed. Primary and secondary data were collected from key informants. The study applied Cohen and Uphoff's theory, identifying four stages of participation. Active community involvement was observed in decision-making processes, while implementation mainly relied on physical labor. Benefit-sharing involved the use of rented commercial facilities. However, community participation in evaluation activities was limited. These findings highlight the need for strategies to enhance inclusive community engagement in sustainable development, leading to positive environmental outcomes. Highlights: Active community involvement: The study reveals significant community participation in decision-making processes, particularly through the Musyawarah Perencanaan Pembangunan Desa (Village Development Planning Meeting), indicating the importance of inclusive community engagement. Limited participation during implementation: The study highlights that community participation during the implementation phase mainly involves physical labor, suggesting the need for strategies to enhance diverse forms of involvement in sustainable development initiatives. Abstract

This qualitative study investigates the role of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in fostering economic empowerment within Ketapang Village, Tanggulangin District, Sidoarjo Regency. Utilizing interviews, observation, and documentation, the research explores the BUMDes' impact on building and developing the economic potential of the local community. Findings suggest that BUMDes play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life and societal well-being, strengthening the local economy, and contributing to national economic resilience. However, challenges persist, notably the limited community involvement in decision-making, budgeting, and program evaluation. The study underscores the need for enhanced community engagement to maximize the effectiveness of BUMDes initiatives. Abstract

This study employs a qualitative descriptive analysis method to investigate the sustainable management of organic waste in Ketapang Village, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Utilizing observation and interviews, the research applies Haris's theory to analyze economic, social, and environmental sustainability aspects. Findings reveal three key aspects: economic sustainability through the development of fruit-picking tourism, environmental sustainability via ecosystem preservation, and social sustainability by enhancing community skills. The study provides valuable insights into organic waste management, offering a reference for improving its quality and contributing to the broader objectives of sustainable development. Highlight : Economic Empowerment: The study emphasizes the development of fruit-picking tourism as a means to generate employment and economic benefits, contributing to the financial sustainability of Ketapang Village. Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the role of Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in managing tourism objects in Sidokepung Village. The research is a qualitative study that focuses on the role of female village heads in empowering women. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the data reduction, data presentation, and data verification proposed by Miles and Huberman. The results indicate that the motivator dimension in tourism management was not successful, the facilitator dimension was not optimal, and the Dynamisator was not implemented properly. The implications of these findings suggest that there is a need for improvement in the management of tourism objects in Sidokepung Village, particularly in the areas of motivation, facilitation, and dynamization. Highlight : Limited success: BUMDes management of tourism in Sidokepung fell short in motivating, facilitating, and dynamizing the sector. Abstract

A Qualitative Analysis" presents an investigation into the empowerment of women in Semambung Village, Kec. Wonoayu Kab. Sidoarjo. The research aims to describe and analyze the role of the Village Head in empowering women, utilizing qualitative methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the Village Head plays a significant role in women's empowerment through various dimensions, including entrepreneurship, disturbance handling, resource allocation, and negotiation. The implication of the study highlights the importance of the Village Head's involvement in empowering women at the local level, contributing to the overall welfare and development of the community. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of collaboration between the village government, community, and interest groups in achieving village self-reliance programs in Ketapang Village, Indonesia. Using descriptive analysis qualitative research, the study employed purposive sampling to select the village head and village secretary as informants. Data collection techniques included observation and interviews, and data analysis followed Miles and Hubermen's theory of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The study used Collaborative Governance theory from Ansell and Gash to measure the questions in the indicators. The results showed that the collaboration between actors was successful, resulting in the construction of the Kalifor tourism village icon as a UMKM development area. The program had a positive impact on economic and social resilience in Ketapang Village. The study highlights the importance of collaborative governance in achieving village self-reliance programs and provides insights for policymakers and practitioners in Indonesia and beyond Highlight : Collaborative Governance: The study used Collaborative Governance theory from Ansell and Gash to measure the success of the collaboration between actors in Ketapang Village. Abstract

The study "Revitalization of the Elderly Posyandu Program in Kebonagung Village, Porong District, Sidoarjo Regency" aimed to describe and analyze the effectiveness of the program using a descriptive qualitative research method. Data was collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that the program was effective in terms of program understanding, alignment with objectives, real changes, and achievement of goals. However, the timeliness of the program was not optimal, leading to a lack of routine implementation. The implications of the study highlight the need for improved program scheduling and regularity to maximize the effectiveness of the elderly Posyandu program. The most provocative and very short title that highlights the outcome of the content and makes it appealing to global related scientists could be "Timeliness Key to Effective Elderly Posyandu Program." Abstract

This qualitative study aims to analyze the role of cadres in the Bina Keluarga Balita (BKB) program in Jerukpurut Village, Gempol District, Pasuruan Regency, as well as to identify the inhibiting factors affecting the program's activities. The study utilized purposive sampling for informant selection and employed interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results revealed that BKB cadres' roles were suboptimal, with factors such as cost and time constraints, double duties, and low mother participation hindering the program's activities. The implication of this study underscores the need for addressing the identified inhibiting factors to enhance the effectiveness of the BKB program in promoting parental knowledge and child development in the community. Abstract

This qualitative field research aimed to determine the synergy of actors in handling street children in Sidoarjo District, Indonesia. The study found that the implementation process of the policy for handling street children involved various stakeholders, both government and non-government, and was incorporated in a special coordination team called the Street Children Outreach Team. The team had a clear division of roles, and the stakeholders negotiated to avoid domination of one another's roles. The indicators and objectives that must be met by stakeholders in working together include the 4R approach, namely rights, responsibilities, revenues, and relationships. The study implies that effective collaboration among stakeholders is crucial in handling street children, and a clear division of roles can prevent conflicts and ensure the success of the program. Highlight : The study emphasizes the importance of a clear division of roles among stakeholders in handling street children. The Street Children Outreach Team in Sidoarjo District involves various government and non-government stakeholders, working together with a 4R approach (rights, responsibilities, revenues, and relationships). Effective collaboration among stakeholders is crucial in handling street children, and it can be achieved through the negotiation to avoid the domination of one another's roles. Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of the Village Information System (SID) in improving public services in Sekardangan Village, focusing on the period of 2020-2022. The descriptive qualitative method is employed, utilizing primary and secondary qualitative data sources, including library research and interviews with the village head and operators. Results reveal that Sekardangan Village provides effective, fast, precise, and efficient services. However, the web-based SID has not been fully effective due to challenges faced by elderly residents with limited socialization from local government. This study contributes to the understanding of smart governance and the role of information systems in enhancing village administration services. Highlight : The study analyzes the effectiveness of the Village Information System (SID) in improving public services in Sekardangan Village, focusing on the period of 2020-2022. Qualitative data sources, including library research and interviews with the village head and operators, were utilized to assess the effectiveness of the SID.
