Abstract

This study aims to examine in greater depth the influence of brand image and product quality on the purchase decisions of Chatime bubble tea consumers, using a case study of visitors at Mall Suzuya Marelan Plaza Medan. Employing a quantitative research design, the study utilizes a survey method by distributing structured questionnaires to 96 respondents selected through random sampling. The independent variables of the study consist of brand image and product quality, while the dependent variable is purchase decision. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS version 26 to identify both partial and simultaneous effects. The findings reveal that, when tested partially, brand image shows a negative and non-significant effect on purchase decisions, suggesting that the image of the brand alone does not strongly determine consumer choices. In contrast, product quality demonstrates a positive and significant influence on purchase decisions, indicating that consumers prioritize the quality of the beverage when making purchasing choices. Furthermore, when analyzed simultaneously, both brand image and product quality together exert a significant impact on purchase decisions. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 82.1% signifies that the two independent variables explain a large proportion of the variance, while the remaining percentage is attributed to other factors such as price and promotion.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia, namun sering menghadapi tantangan dalam adopsi teknologi digital dan branding. A. Zaky Bakery, sebuah usaha yang telah berjalan selama 30 tahun, mengalami stagnasi penjualan serta kendala dalam kualitas produk dan manajemen tradisional. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, kegiatan Pengabdian Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan memberikan pendampingan melalui penerapan Business Model Canvas (BMC). PKM ini terdiri dari tahap pra-pelaksanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap pertama, tim melakukan survei untuk menganalisis masalah dan menyusun materi pelatihan BMC. Tahap kedua melibatkan penyuluhan terkait 9 elemen BMC serta praktik langsung oleh mitra serta tahap evaluasi. Hasil dari pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra UMKM dalam menganalisis bisnisnya, yang berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas produk, diversifikasi jenis produk, peningkatan kapasitas produksi, jumlah aset, dan akhirnya peningkatan omzet. Selain itu, kegiatan ini mendorong mitra untuk lebih inovatif dalam merumuskan strategi bisnis yang lebih efektif dan kompetitif.

Abstract

The conveyance service business is a dynamic industry where there are changing trends every year. This is what underlies Ransoe Konveksi's efforts to develop its production, especially to expand market share. However, the lack of specific skills of the employees has hampered the plan to make the latest products that are actually in great demand by the community. Therefore, the Polmed Service Team took the initiative to provide training to Ransoe Konveksi employees who would later be guided by professionals in their fields. If the employees' abilities are qualified to create new products that are in demand by the community, the convection services will be increasingly recognized by many people and will increase income.

Abstract

This research is planned to continue and realize the results and objectives of previous research in 2022 with applied research on innovative products, namely Practical Learning Applications for Virtual Business Simulation Courses in the Business Administration Study Program. The long-term goal of this research is to develop project-based and digital technology-based Business Simulation learning courses used by students and lecturers. The method used to achieve this is the R and D method. The target for this research output is Copyright and publication of the accredited national journal Sinta 2. This research produces a virtual business simulation learning application based on a research model that was created in 2022. Research This is a type of action research and development using the Research and Development (R&D) method. This research also tested innovative products practiced by 70 5th-semester students, 10 people were taken from each 5th-semester class of the Business Administration Study Program (7 classes) as test respondents in using this Business Simulation application. The Business Simulation Application was created under the business simulation learning process contained in the RPS for the Business Simulation Course. This simulation application is web-based and is equipped with a video tutorial to make it easier to use. Application testing results show that this business simulation application makes business work easier and faster for the positions of manager, head of administrative supplies, and head of finance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of price and corporate image on the purchase decision of Medan X Beauty tickets. The background of the research is based on the increasing competition in the beauty event industry, making pricing strategy and corporate image important factors in attracting consumer interest. This study employed a quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis. The sample consisted of 100 respondents selected using the purposive sampling technique.The analysis results show that, partially:The price variable has a positive and significant effect on purchase decision with t = 4.021 > 1.984 and Sig. = 0.001 < 0.05.The corporate image variable has a positive and significant effect with t = 5.035 > 1.984 and Sig. = 0.001 < 0.05.Simultaneously, price and corporate image have a positive and significant effect on purchase decision with F-value = 106.569 > F-table = 3.09 and Sig. = 0.001 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.687) indicates that 68.7% of the variation in purchase decisions is explained by price and corporate image, while the remaining 31.3% is influenced by other variables outside this study. Therefore, it can be concluded that the corporate image factor is more dominant in influencing the purchase decision of Medan X Beauty tickets compared to the price factor. The findings of this research are expected to serve as a consideration for event management in determining effective marketing strategies.

Abstract

Event Medan X Beauty sebagai pameran kecantikan terbesar di Kota Medan menunjukkan peningkatan pengunjung signifikan dari 22.393 (2022) menjadi 29.126 (2024). Peningkatan ini menuntut penyelenggara untuk memenuhi harapan pengunjung, khususnya mengenai harga tiket dan fasilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kedua variabel tersebut terhadap kepuasan pengunjung pada Medan X Beauty 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dari 100 pengunjung yang dipilih dengan teknik accidental sampling. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda, yang didahului dengan uji validitas, reliabilitas, dan asumsi klasik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan, harga tiket dan fasilitas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pengunjung (Sig. 0,000) dengan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,427. Secara parsial, kedua variabel juga memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan, dengan fasilitas sebagai variabel paling dominan (koefisien beta = 0,608). Disimpulkan bahwa persepsi pengunjung terhadap kelayakan harga tiket dan kualitas fasilitas merupakan faktor kunci dalam membentuk kepuasan mereka selama acara.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate a communication model in stakeholder collaboration for the sustainable implementation of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) events in Medan City. The MICE industry plays a crucial role in driving regional economic growth; however, its sustainable implementation still faces challenges related to weak synergy and coordination among stakeholders. The lack of communication strategies in collaboration has resulted in suboptimal implementation of sustainability principles across various economic, social, and environmental dimensions. This study uses a quantitative approach, with data analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The variables studied include social capital (consisting of cognitive, relational, and structural dimensions), stakeholder collaboration through communication strategies, and the sustainability of MICE events. Data were collected through a survey of MICE industry players in Medan City. The results show that cognitive capital and relational capital have a positive and significant influence on the effectiveness of stakeholder communication and collaboration, while structural capital has a positive but insignificant influence. Furthermore, communication in stakeholder collaboration significantly influences the sustainability of MICE events and is shown to mediate the relationship between social capital and event sustainability. The total effects analysis shows that stakeholder collaboration serves as a key link strengthening the contribution of social capital to event sustainability. The R² value for communication in stakeholder collaboration is 0.663 and for event sustainability is 0.655, indicating strong explanatory power of the model. Furthermore, the Goodness of Fit (GoF) value of 0.57 indicates good model fit.
