Abstract

Sampel berjumlah 12 pemain putri klub futsal 35 Kota Bandung.

Abstract

Hitting is a basic technique that must be mastered in softball. Efficient hitting requires good coordination between the lower limbs, core, and arms. This study aims to analyze the launch angle and exit velocity characteristics of the hitting technique between elite and amateur softball athletes. This study used a quantitative descriptive method. The population consisted of 13 athletes, including 5 elite athletes and 8 amateur athletes, who were selected using purposive sampling. Data collection used documentation techniques by recording the batting movements of the samples which then the video results will be analyzed using Kinovea and SkillSpector software, and the data was analyzed using SPSS version 26.0 with Independent Sample T-Test. The results showed significant differences in launch angle (p=0.025), exit velocity (p=0.004), and swing speed (p=0.015) between elite and amateur athletes. However, there were no differences in elbow angle (p=0.904) and elbow velocity (p=0.123). This study concludes that there are significant differences in batting technique characteristics between elite and amateur softball athletes, with elite athletes showing better performance in launch angle, exit velocity, and swing speed. However, both samples were similar in elbow and elbow angle velocity.

Abstract

Abstract

Talent identification in young karate athletes is a crucial phase for optimizing targeted achievement development programs. This study aims to apply the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to establish a priority hierarchy of criteria and sub-criteria in talent development for karate athletes aged 6–12 in West Java Province. This study involved 22 karate experts, consisting of coaches and accomplished athletes, to assess the weighting of three main criteria:antropometer, biomotor, andsomatotype, which were further broken down into 14 sub-criteria. Quantitative data analysis was performed using Expert Choice 11 software. The results of the analysis show that in the domainantropometer, height (0.173) is the indicator with the highest priority. In the biomotor domain, agility (0.225) shows the highest weight value compared to strength, endurance, speed, and flexibility. Meanwhile, in the domainsomatotype, body typologymesomorf(0.418) ranks as the top priority, followed by endomorph (0.379) and ectomorph (0.202). Comprehensively, the criteriasomatotype(34%) made the most significant contribution to the overall talent identification model, followed by biomotor andantropometer. These findings affirm the AHP's capability in developing a systematic and objective talent identification model, which can serve as a strategic guideline for coaches in the selection and development process of potential karate athletes from an early age.
