Abstract

This study compares the accuracy of the Naïve Bayes and C4.5 algorithms in determining the most suitable product types for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) participating in the Digital Entrepreneurship Academy (DEA) training program at BBPSDMP Kominfo Medan. This study uses a dataset from DEA participants between 2021 and 2022. The analysis shows that the C4.5 algorithm has a higher accuracy compared to Naïve Bayes, indicating its better effectiveness in helping MSMEs choose product types. These findings suggest that C4.5 is more suitable for applications that require a high level of accuracy, especially in the context of this study. This study provides valuable insights into the selection of algorithms to support decision making in the MSME sector.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to compare the accuracy between time series forecasting methods, namely Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) and Double Moving Average (DMA), in forecasting ground coffee sales at Lopo Mandheling Coffee, an MSME in the beverage sector. The sales data used is monthly data from January 2024 to March 2025. The analysis was carried out by calculating the accuracy of each method using the MAPE, MAD, and MSE indicators. The results show that the DMA method provides more accurate forecasting results than the DES method for both types of coffee (Specialty and Premium). DMA has lower MAPE, MAD, and MSE values, so it is more recommended for use in sales forecasting in this MSME. This study provides a practical contribution for MSME actors in improving operational efficiency through a data-driven forecasting approach.Keyword: Sales forecasting; double exponential smoothing; double moving average; ground coffee; MSMEAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai perbandingan akurasi antara metode peramalan deret waktu, yaitu Dpuble Exponential Smoothing (DES) dan Double Moving Avarega (DMA), dalam meramalkan penjualan kopi bubuk di Lopo Mandheling Coffee, sebuah UMKM di sektor minuman. Data penjulan yang digunakan merupakan data bulanan dari Januari 2024 hingga Maret 2025. Analisis dilakukan dengan menghitung akurasi masing-masing metode menggunakan indikator MAPE, MAD, dan MSE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode DMA memberikan hasil peramalan yang lebih akurat dibandingkan metode DES untuk kedua jenis kopi (Specialty dan Premium). DMA memiliki nilai MAPE, MAD, dan MSE yang lebih rendah, sehingga lebih direkomendasikan untuk digunakan dalam peramalan penjualan pada UMKM ini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi pelaku UMKM dalam meningkatkan efisiensi operasional melalui pendekatan peramalan berbasis data.Kata kunci: Peralaman penjualan; double exponential smoothing; double moving average; kopi bubuk; UMKM

Abstract

Abstract: In today's era of globalization, information technology plays a very important role in processing data and transforming it into accurate information. SMK Swasta Swakarya Binjai currently faces several recurring problems. Until now, the recording of book loans and returns has been done manually, which has made it difficult to retrieve information. The current system for recording book collections, member data, borrowing, returning, and fines is still done by writing in a ledger, which is felt to be ineffective and inefficient for library management. This makes it difficult for library members to find the books they want to read and complicates the process for staff to update the existing book data. This issue serves as the basis for developing a research system for book borrowing and return processes. The objective is to create an application for book borrowing and return processes. It is hoped that the developed application will successfully address the existing issues and facilitate both library members and administrators in conducting book borrowing and return processes at the library. Keywords: System, Borrowing, Returning, Books, Library Abstrak: Pada era globalisasi saat ini, teknologi sistem informasi mempunyai peranan sangat penting dalam mengolah data, memproses data, dan mengubah data untuk mendapatkan informasi yang akurat. SMK Swasta Swakarya Binjai, untuk saat ini menghadapi beberapa permasalahan yang sering bulang kali terjadi. Selama ini, pencatatan untuk peminjaman dan pengembalian buku dilakukan secara manual, yang mengakibatkan kesulitan dalam temu-balik informasi. Sistem yang ada saat ini untuk sistem pencatatan koleksi buku, data anggota, peminjaman, pengembalian, dan denda masih dilakukan dengan menulis pada buku besar hal ini dirasakan kurang efektif dan efisien untuk pengelolaan perpustakaan. Hal ini menyebabkan anggota perpustakaan kesulitan dalam mencari buku yang ingin mereka baca serta mempersulit petugas dalam meng-update data buku yang ada sekarang. Permasalahan ini yang menjadi dasar untuk membuat penelitian sistem peminjaman dan pengembalian buku. Tujuannya adalah untuk membuat sebuah aplikasi sistem peminjaman dan pengembalian buku. Diharapakan aplikasi yang dibuat berhasil mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi dan dapat memudahkan pihak anggota dan pengelolah perpustakaan dalam melakukan peminjaman dan pengembalian buku perpustakaan. Kata kunci: Sistem, Peminjaman, Pengembalian, Buku, Perpustakaan

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at one of the partner schools with the aim of introducing and socializing the school academic portal as a digital platform for managing academic and administrative data. During this program, teachers and school staff were trained on how to use the portal, including login procedures, student data management, grading, and online academic reporting. The implementation methods included presentations, live demonstrations, and interactive Q&A sessions. This activity also served as a collaboration between the school and students of Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi in applying information technology to the education sector. The results showed an increased understanding and interest among school staff in adopting a web-based academic information system to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of school administration processes.

Abstract

Dalam suatu perusahaan pengadaan barang dan jasa, tidak terlepas dari yang namanya tender. Pada PT. Bumi Balakka Maju Sejahterah sendiri tender merupakan hal yang utama di dalam perusahaannya. Namun sayang proses penentuan keikutsertaan tender masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga pada saat penentuan tender yang akan diikuti tidak memiliki regulasi yang tetap, dan tidak sesuai dengan keadaan perusahaan, maka dari itu pemilihan tender sering mengalami kurangnya efisien dan efektifitasnya. Untuk membantu agar proses pemilihan tender yang lebih baik kedepannya, maka dibutuhkan sebuah Sistem Pendukung Keputusan yang merupakan sistem berbasis komputer sehingga dapat membantu mendukung sebuah keputusan yang dihasilkan melalui dukungan metode WASPAS dengan menentukan nilai terbesar, maka prioritas tender yang paling tinggi akan didapat. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini, Sistem Pendukung Keputusan berhasil dibangun guna membantu masalah untuk menentukan keikutsertaan tender pada PT.Bumi Balakka Sejahterah. Sehingga tender yang diprioritaskan untuk diajukan sesuai dengan kapabilitas yang dimiliki.

Abstract

In the digital era, manufacturing industries confront challenges like heightened global competition and intricate production processes, urging them to boost efficiency and productivity. Amidst these circumstances, Big Data emerges as a pivotal opportunity to enhance manufacturing performance. Big Data, characterized by vast volumes of data, utilizes advanced data mining to machine learning techniques for analysis. Data analytics, an interdisciplinary field, profoundly impacts manufacturing operations, enabling deeper insights into production processes. By analyzing production data, companies identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and enhance operational efficiency and productivity. Predictive maintenance through sensor data analysis prevents machine failures, while logistics data analysis optimizes supply chains and inventory management, reducing costs and enhancing competitiveness. However, implementing Big Data analytics presents challenges such as rapid data growth, diverse data sources, real-time insights, skill shortages, and data fragmentation. Overcoming these hurdles requires robust technology, skilled personnel, and effective data management strategies. Examples of Big Data analytics applications include customer behavior analysis by Amazon and Netflix, fraud detection in insurance, and urban mobility optimization. Success factors in data analytics implementation include effective data-driven communication, technology integration, and skill enhancement. In conclusion, implementing Big Data Analytics in manufacturing promises significant benefits in operational efficiency, product quality, and competitiveness. Overcoming challenges necessitates robust strategies and consideration of ethical and security issues, ensuring responsible data usage. With a deep understanding of Big Data Analytics, manufacturing companies can leverage this technology to achieve higher efficiency and competitiveness in the global market.

Abstract

Media sosial saat ini banyak memiliki peranan yang sangat penting bagi masyarakat kita, banyak berbagai hal kegiatan yang dilakukan seperti pertukaran informasi maupun mencari informasi dinilai lebih mudah, cepat dan efektif. Media sosial berkembang sangat pesat pada awal 2000 -an saat pertama kali diperkenalkan. platform yang muncul pada saat itu ialah MySpace dan Friendster. Pada saat ini media sosial menjadi bagian dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang tak terpisahkan. WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok dan YouTube adalah contoh media sosial yang popular banyak digunakan jutaan orang di Indonesia, Kesehatan mental pada remaja sangat perlu diperhatian karena ada beberapa penelitian yang menemukan permasalahan terhadap kesehatan mental, dalam penelitian National Adolescent Mental Health Survey pada tahun 2022 menyatakan bahwa 1 dari 30 remaja atau 34.9% di Indonesia memiliki 1 masalah dalam kesehatan mental pada 12 bulan terakhir dan 1 dari 20 remaja atu 5.5% memiliki 1 gangguan mental pada 12 bulan terakhir. Gangguan mental yang dialami ialah kecemasan depresi, dan rendahnya harga diri, kecemasan salah satu yang paling banyak dialami oleh remaja di Indonesia baik laki-laki maupun perempuan. Hasil menunjukan Algoritma Random Fores menghasilkan nilai 63% dan Algoritma Regresi Linier 61%, dari hasil tersebut tingkat akurasi Random Fores lebih tinggi dari pada Regresi Linier.

Abstract

This paper presents the design and implementation of a cryptographic scheme that combines the Hill Cipher algorithm with the Three-Pass Protocol (TPP) using mod-256 arithmetic. The objective is to provide a secure communication mechanism without direct key exchange while adapting a classical cipher to modern digital contexts. The system employs a 2×2 key matrix where plaintext characters are mapped to their ASCII values, grouped into vectors, and transformed through matrix multiplication followed by modulo reduction. The TPP structure allows both sender and receiver to apply their private keys independently, producing layered ciphertexts before the final recovery of the plaintext. A prototype application was developed using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 (Visual Basic) to validate the approach. The program includes input fields for plaintext, ciphertext at each stage, key matrices, and a log box that records the detailed matrix operations for transparency. Experimental results demonstrate that the original plaintext can be accurately restored after multiple encryption and decryption phases, while the intermediate ciphertexts remain random and unintelligible. The findings confirm that integrating Hill Cipher with the Three-Pass Protocol strengthens confidentiality and eliminates the need for key distribution. Beyond its security benefits, the prototype also serves as an educational tool, helping students and practitioners understand both matrix-based encryption and keyless secure communication protocols.
