Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan modelpembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament dan konvensional, mengetahui aktivitasbelajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament sertamengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament terhadap hasilbelajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah quasi eksperiment. Populasi penelitian adalahseluruh siswa kelas X MIA Semester I yang terdiri dari 2 kelas. Sampel dipilih dengan teknikpurposive sampling. Kelas X MIA A sebagai kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan pembelajarankonvensional dan kelas X MIA B eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatiftipe Team Games Tournament. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswaadalah soal-soal tes hasil belajar berjumlah 10 soal dalam bentuk pilihan berganda. Hasil data dapatdilihat dari nilai rata-rata post-test dari masing-masing kelas, rata-rata nilai post-test siswamenggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament berada pada kriteriacukup baik dibandingkan nilai rata-rata post-test siswa menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional.Nilai rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa selama pembelajaran berlangsung tergolong aktif danmengalami peningkatan setiap pertemuan. Sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan adanya pengaruh modelpembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materigerak lurus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menentukan strategi dalam pembelajaran fisika pada topik prinsip Archimedes yang telah dilaksanakan guru di SMA Negeri 11 Medan. Jenis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 2 guru yang telah melarang topik prinsip Archimedes. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 1 (satu) guru sebagai informan utama. Pengambilan sampel berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria tertentu dari anggota populasi. Kriterianya adalah guru yang sudah lama dalam melarang topik prinsip Archimedes dan memiliki sertifikasi guru. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian yaitu observasi, wawancara, sudut dan wawancara mendalam. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis SWOT dengan pendekatan matriks SWOT, IFE, EFE, dan IE. Berdasarkan hasil analisis strategi SWOT yang teridentifikasi dalam pembelajaran topik kepala sekolah Archimedes di SMA Negeri 11 Medan adalah 1) Strategi SO, yaitu guru menggunakan demonstrasi pembelajaran untuk menjadi pembuat konten. 2) Strategi WO, yaitu meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan software dan meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran untuk menjadi konten kreator. 3) Strategi ST yaitu guru melibatkan siswa dalam memanfaatkan sumber belajar di internet; guru menyiapkan handout untuk memudahkan dalam pembelajaran; guru menyiapkan powerpoint sebagai media pembelajaran. 4) Strategi WT, yaitu meningkatkan kreativitas guru dalam mendesain pembelajaran untuk menggunakan waktu pembelajaran secara efektif dan efisien; meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan perangkat lunak guna mendukung pembelajaran; meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil analisis strategi IFE dan EFE yang ditentukan adalah “strategi diversifikasi”. Strategi ini memanfaatkan kekuatan yang dimiliki dalam menghadapi tantangan yang ada yaitu pada strategi ST.

Abstract

Practical methods are very rarely used in learning physics so that Students have difficulty understanding concepts. Student Worksheets are needed to support practical work. Student Worksheets used in learning are not feasible. Fulfillment of the feasibility test in learning in this study is intended to test and determine the level of feasibility of Student Worksheets Based on the Starter Experiment Approach (SWBSEA). The design of the SWBSEA is based on curriculum needs, Student knowledge, and Student skills. Testing the level of feasibility and application of SWBSEA is given to Students during learning and submits a questionnaire to assess the feasibility of use. The results showed that SWBSEA in Physics learning was considered feasible in terms of Content Display, Subject Display, Component Completeness, and Grammar.

Abstract

Teaching materials play an essential role in education, serving as critical resources and guides for both teachers and students. They significantly enhance students' understanding and competency development by aligning with curriculum demands, particularly skill-based competencies. Science process skills are vital for engaging students in Physics, yet traditional teaching methods often limit the development of these skills. Effective Physics education should incorporate diverse strategies, including the case study approach, which fosters scientific thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Implementing a scientific approach can further enhance these skills but may present challenges such as reduced learning pace and student interest. Teachers must address these challenges through close monitoring and thorough preparation, ensuring teaching materials are valid and effective. Researchers propose integrating case-based methods with a scientific approach to aid students in learning wave phenomena, making Physics concepts more accessible. The effectiveness of these materials will be evaluated using the N-Gain test, a statistical measure assessing improvement in student performance through a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design, with data analyzed using SPSS. This study aims to identify issues and gather user feedback to optimize Physics teaching materials. The analysis of teaching materials developed using the case method, supported by a scientific approach, reveals their effectiveness in enhancing students' science process skills. The average N-Gain score of 0.71, reflects a 71% improvement, these materials significantly improve students' abilities, particularly in the Sound Wave subject. The effectiveness is evident in the enhanced skills of analysis and problem-solving among students, validated through pre-test and post-test comparisons. The average pre-test score was 60.4, which increased to 88.3 in the post-test. Despite some challenges such as inconsistent internet access, the teaching materials proved to be highly effective, with 20 students achieving effective results and 10 achieving fairly effective results. The teaching materials also foster various science process skills including critical thinking, experimentation, and communication. These methods encourage student engagement, critical thinking, collaboration, real-world application, creativity, and overcoming learning barriers, making education more dynamic and interactive.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) knowing the student's response to online learning process on elasticity topic during pandemic COVID-19, 2) knowing the teachers response to online learning process on elasticity topic during pandemic COVID-19, and 3) knowing the effectiveness of online learning process on elasticity topic carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research is quantitative using a survey method. The instrument used was a student questionnaire and a teacher questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale. The results showed that the responses of both students and teachers to online learning on elasticity topic based on the criteria, i.e., online learning planning, processes, and evaluations, on average could be categorized as good, the effectiveness of online learning on elasticity topic can be categorized as effective, level of student mastery and the level of learning completeness can be categorized as good and complete, but there are still many difficulties during the implementation process.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to discover how teachers participate in physics learning using the Merdeka Curriculum through Science Process Skill of X2 students. The research is descriptive quantitative research method. Based on the results, the assessment concluded that student participation in the learning process at SMA Negeri 1 Pancur Batu is 45.7%, which is considered good. However, the student effective learning percentage at SMA Negeri 1 Pancur Batu is enough, at 37.1%. The indicator of no students being unable to comprehend at SMA Negeri 1 Pancur Batu is 45.7%, which is considered very good. Overall, the Merdeka Curriculum implementation indicators from the evaluation of students in the good category are 57.1%. According to the observation form results, 24 statement items of the 30 are accomplished, with 6 statement items not complying, indicating that the physics teacher's implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the X2 class is very good. For Science Process Skills of students X2 are categorized as good with a percentage of 67.71%. So, it can be defined that the Physics Teacher's implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum to students in class X2 using a Science Process Skills method is considered good.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of interesting learning media innovations available for physics lessons, therefore a questionnaire was distributed and it was found that static fluid material is one of materials that is difficult for students to understand. This research aims to find out how to develop, analyze the feasibility and level of effectiveness of the mobile learning media based on adobe flash cs6 in static fluid material. The research was conducted using Research and Development with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) models. Respondents in this research were class XI IPA 6 students at SMAN 2 Medan. The product testing consists of small group test and large group test. Small group trials involved 10 students, and large group trials 30 students. The instrument used in this research were expert validation questionnaires, teacher validation questionnaires and determine the effectiveness of learning media by giving posttest question to students. At the validation stage of the result of the media expert assessment, the avergate percentage is 93,84% with a very decent category and result of material expert assessment get an average percentage 98% with a decent category. The result of the assessment of the physics teacher response 91,53%. The result of the learning media effectiveness test given to small and large groups get an average percentage of 70% and 86,66%. This shows that the media developed is very feasible and effective as learning media in learning activities.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to introduce and implement waste-fueled stove technology as an alternative energy solution for PKK groups and MSMEs in Tanah Enam Ratus Village, Medan Marelan. Through a participatory approach and hands-on training, participants were trained in utilizing household waste as fuel, efficient combustion techniques, and stove maintenance. The activity results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the concept of renewable energy and the formation of a working group "Energi Mandiri Tanah Enam Ratus" as a follow-up. This activity contributes to strengthening the circular economy and energy independence of urban-peripheral communities.

Abstract

AbstrakUsaha tanaman hias Aglonema memiliki potensi ekonomi yang signifikan, namun sering terkendala oleh manajemen penyiraman yang tidak optimal, menyebabkan penurunan kualitas dan produktivitas. Penelitian pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan produktivitas usaha Aglonema melalui implementasi sistem penyiram otomatis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Sistem ini dirancang untuk memantau kelembaban tanah secara real-time menggunakan sensor dan melakukan penyiraman otomatis berdasarkan ambang batas yang ditentukan, mengurangi intervensi manual dan potensi kesalahan manusia. Metode yang digunakan meliputi perancangan sistem perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak, instalasi di lokasi mitra usaha, serta pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi penyiraman, penghematan air, dan waktu kerja petani, serta peningkatan kualitas dan kuantitas produksi Aglonema. Diharapkan inovasi ini dapat menjadi solusi berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan kesejahteraan pelaku usaha tanaman hias. Kata kunci: aglonema; Internet of Things (IoT); penyiram otomatis; produktivitas; pengabdian masyarakat. AbstractThe Aglonema ornamental plant business has significant economic potential, but is often constrained by non-optimal watering management, causing a decrease in quality and productivity. This community service research aims to optimise Aglonema business productivity through the implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automatic watering system. The system is designed to monitor soil moisture in real-time using sensors and perform automatic watering based on a defined threshold, reducing manual intervention and potential human error. The methods used include hardware and software system design, installation at business partner locations, and training and mentoring. The implementation results show an increase in watering efficiency, water savings, and farmer work time, as well as an increase in the quality and quantity of Aglonema production. It is hoped that this innovation can be a sustainable solution to improve the competitiveness and welfare of ornamental plant business actors. Keywords: aglonema; Internet of Things (IoT); automatic sprinklers; productivity; community service.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui signifikansi hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan kemampuan literasi sains siswa melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe student team achievement and division (STAD). Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-postest control group. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan angket motivasi belajar dan tes kemampuan literasi sains berbentuk pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan kemampuan literasi sains. Hasil penelitian pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD menunjukkan hubungan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan kemampuan literasi sains.Kata Kunci: STAD, Motivasi Belajar, Kemampuan Literasi sains
