Abstract

This study analysed the influence of market orientation and product innovation capability on product competitiveness to improve marketing performance on clay handicraft products in Bali-Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic. New insights were offered to the research subjects of clay craftsmen, and in previous studies this type of sample was rarely considered. We studied the relationships of all the variables involved. Empirical evidence was conveyed through a survey involving 60 SMEs as a saturated sample, using a PLS-based SEM as analysis tool. The results show that all direct relationships of variables are proven to be significantly positive, except that product innovation capability has a significant negative impact on marketing performance. The character of the clay craft industry has a uniqueness that was not previously thought of. The greater the ability to produce new innovation seems to have an unfavourable impact on sales of previous innovations. The unique characteristics of the industry disturbed by the Covid-19 situation adds to the narrowness of the market. A market expansion strategy is needed by developing the character of the product from pure artistic nature to decorative decoration into a combination with functionality. To achieve this goal, it is apparently constrained by the limited demographic characteristics and competence of SMEs to innovate. Originality/value; analysing innovation based on three characteristics, namely artistic, symbolic and functional, as an important variable in the clay industry in relation to consumer behaviour. The three proposed analysis based on the characteristics of product innovation had never been studied in previous studies

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of working capital turnover, capital structure, and liquidity on profitability in hotel and restaurant companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2021-2023. The research method used is multiple linear regression analysis with secondary data taken from company financial reports. The results show that working capital turnover has a positive and significant effect on profitability, indicating that efficient working capital management can improve a company's ability to generate profits. On the other hand, capital structure has an insignificant negative effect on profitability, indicating that high debt levels do not always lead to increased company profits. Meanwhile, liquidity was found to have a positive and significant effect on profitability, emphasizing the importance of a company's ability to meet its short-term obligations in improving its financial performance. This study is expected to provide insights for company management in managing working capital, capital structure, and liquidity to achieve optimal profitability.

Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of digital technology in industry 5.0 era. In the digital era, industry is undergoing a fundamental transformation due to the development of digital technology. This research uses the literature review method to analyse trends, benefits, challenges, and strategies related to the implementation of these technologies. The results show that digital technologies, such as internet banking, mobile banking, digital payment applications, and fintech, have become a catalyst for transformation in the banking industry. Banks are adopting strategies of developing digital platforms, partnering with fintechs, and developing HR skills to cope with these changes. Although faced with challenges such as data security, complex regulations, and system integration, the implementation of digital technology has great potential to improve banking services and operational efficiency. This research also identifies the positive and negative impacts of digital technology implementation on banking performance, including changes in people's behaviour in managing their organisations and improved performance of MSMEs. By understanding the challenges and associated strategies, this research provides valuable insights into how digital technology is changing the modern banking landscape and demonstrates the need for banks to continue to adapt and utilise these technologies to improve their performance and deliver better services to their customers.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of embedded finance disruption on traditional banking institutions within digital commerce platforms. The rapid integration of financial services such as payments, lending, and insurance into e-commerce platforms poses both challenges and opportunities for banks. The aim of this research is to identify adaptive strategies that banks can adopt to remain competitive in the face of this disruption. Using a library-based research methodology, data was collected from secondary sources, including books, academic journals, and industry reports. The findings reveal that banks are increasingly leveraging open banking, APIs, and digital transformation strategies to integrate their services into digital platforms. However, challenges related to regulatory compliance, data privacy, and organizational resistance remain significant barriers. In conclusion, banks must embrace innovation, collaborate with fintech companies, and develop flexible, customer-centric solutions to thrive in the evolving digital finance ecosystem.

However, challenges such as high implementation costs, low digital literacy, and limited infrastructure remain major obstacles. Factors influencing adoption include user education, trust in technology, and prior user experience. In conclusion, digital technology significantly contributes to the efficiency and competitiveness of small enterprises; however, its integration requires support through training, technical assistance, and government subsidies. This study recommends developing affordable and user-friendly technological solutions and fostering collaborative initiatives between the government, technology providers, and business owners to address adoption barriers.
