Abstract

This study aims to: (1) examine the differences in the improvement of mathematical reasoning abilities between students who receive instruction using the Accelerated Learning method and those who receive instruction using conventional methods; (2) determine students' responses to mathematics instruction using the Accelerated Learning method. The research method employed is a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. This study was conducted in one of the public high schools in Cimahi, involving tenth-grade students during the 2010/2011 academic year. The instruments used included instructional tools such as syllabi, lesson plans, and student worksheets; and data collection instruments such as mathematical reasoning ability tests, observation sheets, student daily journals, and questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that (1) there are differences in the improvement of mathematical reasoning abilities between students who received instruction using the Accelerated Learning method and those who received instruction using conventional methods. Furthermore, it can be stated that the improvement in mathematical reasoning abilities of students who received mathematics instruction through the Accelerated Learning method is higher than that of students who received mathematics instruction through conventional methods; (2) most students responded positively to mathematics instruction using the Accelerated Learning method.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi era digitalisasi, kebutuhan dalam peningkatan keterampilan digital ditingkat desa menjadi suatu keharusan. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, pengabdian pada masyarakat merupakan bentuk upaya dalam pemahaman mendalam terhadap aplikasi Microsoft Office, seperti Word, Excel, dan PowerPoint. Melibatkan tenaga administrasi desa Sukalaba sebagai peserta melalui metode dengan serangkaian sesi pelatihan praktis dan pendampingan langsung. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dalam keterampilan menggunakan perangkat lunak Microsoft Office, terutama dalam penyusunan laporan, pengelolaan data, dan presentasi informasi. Pendampingan langsung membantu mengatasi hambatan implementasi yang muncul dalam rutinitas administratif sehari-hari. Penguatan kapasitas ini memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi tugas administratif, menyediakan layanan yang lebih unggul kepada masyarakat, dan membuka jalan bagi transformasi digital di tingkat desa Sukalaba. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan Microsoft Office bukan hanya berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan administratif desa, tetapi juga mendukung adaptasi terhadap teknologi, memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan masyarakat di era digital.

Abstract

Batik is a combination of art and technology. Batik has various types and motifs that vary depending on the region. In Indramayu itself there are several types of batik, one of which is batik with the Sidomukti motif. Ethnomathematics is a science that studies the relationship between mathematics and culture. Through this knowledge, various mathematical aspects can be studied that can be found in Sidomukti batik motifs. The aim of this research is to find out the Sidomukti batik motif pattern when linked to the Pythagorean theorem and can be used as an example to convey material proving the Pythagorean Theorem in schools. The research used is qualitative descriptive research with the research object being batik cloth with sidomukti motifs. Mathematically, the sidomukti motif can be approximated by flat rectangular and triangular shapes. From the research, the results showed that there is a mathematical aspect, namely the proof of the Pythagorean Theorem in the Indramayu cultural element, namely the sidomukti batik motif.

Abstract

The main challenge in learning mathematics is improving students' problem-solving abilities and strengthening interest in learning. This research focuses on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model's influence on students' problem-solving abilities and interest in learning mathematics. This research investigates how PBL can influence the improvement of students' problem-solving abilities and interest in learning mathematics. The method used was an experimental approach with one group following PBL-based learning and a control group using conventional learning. Data was collected through problem-solving ability tests and learning interest questionnaires. The research results showed that PBL significantly improved students' problem-solving abilities and resulted in a positive increase in interest in learning mathematics. Conclusion: These findings effectively strengthen students' problem-solving abilities and awaken their interest in mathematics. The implication is the importance of implementing PBL in mathematics learning to create more competent and enthusiastic students to explore the world of mathematics.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan lingkungan bisnis mengahruskan para pelaku UMKM untuk terus beradaptasi, agar tetap menjaga keberlanjutan usahanya. Kondisi pelaku usaha yang kemasan produk dan pemasaran yang menggunakan metode tradisional, sehingga mempengaruhi tingkat penjualan UMKM tersebut. Metode pelaksanaan yang dilakukan memiliki tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evalausi. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan edukasi kepada para pelaku usaha untuk membuat inovasi dalam kemasan, dan memanfaatkan e-commerce sebagai pemasaran produk, dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan penjualan para pelaku UMKM telor asin di Desa Bendung-Kasemen Kota Serang.

Abstract

Sektor UMKM bidang kuliner saat ini menjadi jenis usaha yang paling survive dibanding usaha lain. Salah satu UMKM bidang kuliner adalah Bontot yakni sejenis makanan gurih yang dapat dinikmati oleh semua kalangan, terlebih bagi mereka yang sangat suka dengan olahan ikan dan masakan yang bergizi tinggi. Pelaku UMKM yang memproduksi Bontot salah satunya adalah UMKM Bontot Salminah yang berada di Kota Serang. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan oleh tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat terhadap UMKM Bontot Salminah diperoleh adanya permasalahan yang dirasakan oleh pemilik seperti banyaknya kompetitor bisnis yang memproduksi makanan sejenis. Untuk itu diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan daya saing usaha Bontot Salminah. Melihat persaingan yang semakin ketat antara usaha sejenis maka dibutuhkan adanya inovasi produk. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan PKM ini terdiri dari beberapa tahapan diantaranya yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Dari hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Tim PKM telah melakukan sosialisasi, pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam rangka meningkatkan daya saing melalui inovasi produk. Inovasi produk yang dilakukan yakni dengan menjual bontot siap saji yang dilengkapi dengan berbagai varian sambal yakni sambal kacang, sambal rujak dan sambal terasi. Selain itu, tim juga melakukan inovasi dalam hal packaging dan pemberian label produk sehingga memiliki diferensiasi dengan produk kompetitor.

Abstract

Problems experienced by students include low understanding of mathematical concepts and lack of learning motivation. This study aims to examine the extent to which the Think Pair Square (TPS) cooperative learning model can be a solution to improve both aspects. This study design is a quasi-experimental study with two groups: an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected through a mathematical concept understanding test and a learning motivation questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using a paired t-test, N-Gain calculation, and descriptive analysis using a Likert scale. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the understanding of mathematical concepts and learning motivation of students in the experimental group. The application of collaborative learning strategies has been proven to help students build a deeper understanding of concepts and increase their engagement in the mathematics learning process.

Abstract

HIV/AIDS remains a critical global health issue that requires a multidisciplinary approach to reduce its transmission. Understanding the transmission dynamics through mathematical models can assist in formulating effective intervention strategies. This study aims to analyze the stability of HIV/AIDS transmission model in Cilegon City using five compartments, namely Susceptible, Educated, Infected, Treatment, and AIDS or SEITA-type model. Subsequently, the basic reproductive ratio (R0) is estimated by constructing the Next Generation Matrix (NGM) and the dynamic simulation of the model is carried out using parameters calibrated based on HIV/AIDS data from Cilegon City. The Analysis of stability equilibrium points show that the disease-free equilibrium point is locally asymptotically stable when R0<1 and when R0>1 then endemic equilibrium point is locally asymptotically stable. Furthermore, the numeric simulation results indicate that the increasing parameter transition rate from the susceptible subpopulation to the educated subpopulation, the ARV treatment rate applied to the infected subpopulation and decreasing parameter transition rate from the educated subpopulation to the susceptible subpopulation, could suppress the basic reproduction number, thereby enabling effective control of the HIV/AIDS spread in Cilegon City.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country in Southeast Asia that has the fifth highest prevalence of stunting in world and as a country that has a relatively high stunting rate. Banten Province, as one of provinces in Indonesia, is in the bottom five provinces with the worst stunting cases according to results of Indonesian Toddler Nutrition Status Survey (SSGBI) 2021. Many efforts have been made to resolve this stunting problem. The condition of stunting is usually characterized by the toddler's length or height being less than the normal toddlers of the same age. Several factors causing stunting can be identified so that the government can take appropriate steps to reduce stunting rates in Indonesia, especially in Banten province. Banten province consists of several districts/cities which have their own characteristics, so it is necessary to analyze the grouping of factors causing stunting based on districts/cities in Banten province using hierarchy cluster analysis. The cluster analysis method used in this research was Single Linkage method with Euclidian distance. The results of this research showed that two clusters were obtained based on the grouping results, where first cluster had a higher average percentage of babies born alive with Low Birth Weight (LBW) and percentage of average per capita monthly expenditure for food compared to second cluster. In other hand, percentage of households with access to adequate sanitation and drinking water in first cluster had smaller average value than second cluster.
